“Rooster Teeth had a lot of issues as evidenced by the allegations past employees have come forward with” and “Warner Bros is fucking evil for axing an entire company and letting some of its employees find out via tweet” are statements that can and should coexist.

Like. It’s not some gotcha that RT is shutting down. It’s not some vindictive justice that this Big Bad Company is gone now. Projects are now canceled. People will be fired from their jobs. And because it’s Warner Bros. it’s only a matter of time before all those animation projects (RvB, RWBY, Camp Camp, every single episode of anything they made) is scrubbed off of the internet.

It’s gonna be the same thing that happened with HBO Max. It’s gonna be the same thing with the Coyote vs. Acme movie and Batgirl.

RT going down is not the thing you should be lording over people. RT going down should not be some ammo for your “RWBY is mid” takes. RT going down is not some “I always knew it was cringe” meme. Real people are gonna be effected by this. People will lose this jobs and will lose all the passion projects they worked on.

This is horrifying for the people involved in these projects and the state of animation itself. Warner Bros. only owned Rooster Teeth for 2 years. They bought them in 2022. Not even 2 full years. They didn’t even get a chance and they axed THE ENTIRE COMPANY. NOT JUST ONE SHOW. THE ENTIRE FUCKING COMPANY AND ALL ITS IPS. HOLY FUCKING SHIT. THIS IS NOT THR TIME FOR A FAN WAR.

The thing I’m trying to keep in mind right now regarding the Rooster Teeth news is this:

RWBY made it nine seasons. Nine. Seasons. Over ten years. For an indie series made by a comparatively small team. That’s more than most big studio shows get.

Even if we never end up seeing the end of it (I’m still holding out hope), even if you never cared about the show or thought it went downhill at some point, you have to admit that that is incredibly admirable.

Monty Oum, Miles Luna and Kerry Shawcross wanted to make a show, and they did. And that little show ended up becoming a whole ass franchise with over a hundred episodes and legions of fans all over the world.

And no matter what, I think that’s worth celebrating.

[Fluff] Qrow Branwen X Shion Murailis *Batty Love* Part One

Qrow had always known about Ozpin’s secrets and kept them to himself but he had to tell his niece and her friends why Beacon had fallen or how Ozpin transferred himself to Oscar’s body, mostly he didn’t understand why the headmaster entrusted him with details and secrets. Hell, he even knew hunters and huntresses would go after bandits like his twin sister. “Uncle Qrow, dinner is ready.” Ruby came up to her uncle, having a small smile on her face.

Nodding his head softly while taking a sip of alcohol in the flask that keeps in his pocket, only noticed Ruby just looking at him with wide eyes. “What’s wrong kiddo?” He asked while putting the lid back on the flask, and walking over to his niece. “Something or someone is coming.” She replied as she pointed at a shape that was moving towards them, making the older male look toward where she was pointing.

Shion had come all this way to find Qrow, Ruby, Yang, Weiss, Nora, Jaune, and Ren since she wanted to make sure that they were safe and okay after the fall of Beacon. She didn’t understand why someone would want Beacon or other schools to fall, was it because of the Whitefang? No, it couldn’t be just them, there must have been another party involved with the destruction of the school.

Something made her think of something but decided not to push it any further until she knows that everyone is well and alive. She soon notices Ruby and Qrow standing on a balcony, making her smile to know that they’re both safe and well. Thank goodness, they’re both alright. She thought to herself while landing near the two of them, only getting a bear hug from Ruby as Qrow let out a chuckle.

Ruby let go of Shion while apologizing for her bear hug, only getting a huge back from her since she missed the innocent teen in front of her. “It’s alright, I miss your hugs.” Shion chuckles softly while patting Ruby’s head, only turning her attention to Qrow. “Nice to see you Qrow.” She had a yarning crush on the man, not only because he was hot or anything but because he has a great personality that caught her attention.

Qrow may be older than she is but still, who wouldn’t have a crush on someone like Qrow? Sure he may have a perverted side to him but still, she had fallen for a huntsman that drinks and becomes very perverted when he starts to talk about women being in mini skirts. “Same to you.” He replied while holding his flask in his hand, nearly opening it before Yang and Weiss came out to check out who had come for them.

Both Yang and Weiss look at each other when they notice Shion, wondering if she has traveled all the way here. “How did you get here?” Yang had been the first one to ask and beat her uncle to the question, having her arms folded to her chest. “I traveled here as fast as I can, but my wings got tired whenever traveling for the longest time,” Shion replied as she rubbed the back of her neck.

Shion and her teammates are further away from each other but they know that she wanted to find her secret crush, his two nieces, and their friends that had survived the grim attack. “Do they know that you’re here?” Weiss asked while staying close to her friend, having her hand resting on her arm. “Yes, they know that I came looking for you guys.” The albino bat Faunus replied with a smile on her face.

Weiss nodded her head softly with a small smile on her face since it was good to see someone familiar, clearing her throat. “Would you like to join us for dinner?” Dinner had sounded good to Shion, hearing her stomach rumble for food. “Yes, that sounds good to me.” Shion blushes due to her stomach continuing to rumble to be fed, making others laugh and she decides to shrug it off.

Qrow looks at Weiss, Ruby, and Yang and nods his head toward them. “Go ahead and get some food, I’ll be in a second to join you.'' He gave Shion a small smile before sighing when Ruby and Yang dragged her off, hearing her protests and Ruby’s laughter. This is gonna be a long night. He thought to himself as he put his flask back inside his pocket and headed inside to join the others for dinner.

There were times that Qrow could feel his heart bump against his chest, sure Qrow felt calm and collected around Shion but something made him feel like a different person. He let out a grunt while joining the young teens at a table, sitting on a pillow that had been placed on the floor for people to feel comfortable. It started to remind him of the old days when he and his team were still together.

It’s hard to believe how far these kiddos made it so far, but there will be tough challenges for them. There were indeed going to be challenges that would be hard for them, but together they will pull through as they did. “So Shion, how did you know that we’re going to be here?” Nora asked while she had a cup of tea in her hands, hoping the question wasn’t too much. “I have been informed by a friend,” Shion replied to Nora's question.

After eating dinner and sharing a few stories, everyone is ready for bed and says their goodbyes night. Shion didn’t feel tired or a bit sleepy since she had sugar in her tea, mostly she needed some fresh air before going to bed, it helps her feel relaxed whenever it’s nighttime. She stood on the balcony while staring at the moon, having her bat wings folded on her back. “Can’t sleep either?” Qrow asked while holding an open flask in his hand.

Holding her hands to her chest when she heard his voice, sighing heavily and nodding her head softly. “You can say that, but I want to feel the cold air before going to bed,” Shion replied while puffing up her cheeks. “What are you doing up?” She asked as she folded her arms to her chest, seeming like she was glaring at him for some odd reason. “Same reason as you.” He told her.

Both had grown silent for a moment due to them having crushes or should say attachments to each other, some say this is a bad time but Qrow disagrees since it would be a perfect time to confess their feelings. Sure some have failed to confess whenever the time wasn’t right, but that didn’t stop him from knowing things; even if he’s a bad luck charm for anyone. He cleared his throat, catching Shion’s attention.

“Something on your mind?” Shion asked and tried her best not to call him an old man, one of her friends had called him an old man before, and she would just shake her head and give a small grin. But a hot old man. She would correct them and just smile at them, not until they started teasing her for liking him. “A beautiful night, just like you.” He might have screwed up but he didn’t give a damn, this is a perfect time to confess.

Felt her face becoming like fire when her cheeks reddened by his complaint but decided to play along. “How so?” Shion asked as she rested her hands on her waist, watching his movements closely. “Well, you are as beautiful as the moon.” Crow didn’t like rushing things but he couldn’t help but fall victim to her beauty, trying his best to remain in his usual state and very relaxed. “Well, thank you.” She chuckles softly.

“Why don’t you join me on my mission? We’re regrouping some hunters and Huntress that’s willing to help us, plus someone good at hand-to-hand could help Ruby with her skill.” Qrow asked while keeping the real reason why they need hunters and huntresses. “Are you asking me on a date?” Shion asked while keeping her calm. “I suppose.” He shrugs his shoulders, watching her nod her head softly. “Alright, I’ll join you.” She smiles at him.

Shion felt her heartbeat against her chest as she passed by him, is this a dream or was she dreaming? No, this was no dream but something that had come true. “Goodnight, see you in the morning.” She gives him a quick peck on the cheek before running off to a spare room that she’ll be sleeping in, wanting to squeal in happiness but deciding not to. Qrow just stood there and rubbed his cheek, for once he felt happy.

Letting out a small sigh before taking a sip of alcohol from the flask and putting the lid on, tomorrow would be a difficult cast for them both when they’re looking for hunters and huntresses that are willing to fight Salem. Tomorrow he should tell her the truth about the whole thing, probably guessing that she would slap him or something worse, shrugging his shoulders before heading to bed for a rest for the journey tomorrow. ~~~~~~ Shion Murailis belongs to Alice Reivers/Kit Reivers [Whichever name she uses now] Gif doesn’t belong to me, it belongs to its rightful owner
