if nine and rose had fucked i think it would have been totally fine for their relationship though jack would have been lowkey highkey jealous and then that would have been a whole thing to deal with. ten and rose well. we saw that kiss in "new earth" and billie piper did that for herself for rose and for the people. if ten and rose had just fucked i think that it would have made the rest of series two even wilder but also they deserved it. martha deserved to kill ten with hammers for the buckwild post-rose hangover emotional manipulation but if they had fucked at the end of "smith and jones" i feel like he either wouldn't have treated martha nearly as badly as he did all series OR it would double down and be even more deeply insane. ten and donna. no. donna has no interest in that twig and also throwing that dynamic on the tate-tennant already ridiculously good chemistry doesn't work outside of shakespeare and the catherine tate show. if eleven had let amy fuck him after "flesh and stone" they would have both deeply regretted it and it would have absolutely ruined rory's life but also the level of emotional intimacy they were at in series five was already at an all time high and then rory AND river get brought into the fray which is just deeply messy. eleven and clara to me have zero sexual chemistry together or. much chemistry of any kind at all which is wild because matt smith and jenna coleman have chemistry in abundance as themselves and i don't think those characters fucking would have done anything to that story. twelve clara is one of the most batshit dynamics of the revival era and i truly don't know what them fucking would have done but i imagine given the insanity of what we got on screen when they were avoiding ("avoiding") any romance i can only imagine it would be worse for me to witness emotionally. if anyone suggests that twelve and bill should have fucked i'm blowing up this whole website. if you're a twelve nardole fan though god bless you

Hi fun Doctor Who thought: I think if the show ever wanted to be Super Clever, then the season leading up to a regeneration should have 1 episode that has some EXTREME plot holes, like to the point fans are like "how did they ever fix x they never explained that". Like even the Doctor is like "yeah I'm not really sure what happened to that". HOWEVER that episode should also feature one of the companions bumping into a couple of people that are walking past. It should look like a cameo, at least one of the actors should be semi-well known. A couple weeks after that, the semi-well known actor should be announced as the next doctor.

AND THEN IN THE NEXT SEASON: the regenerated doctor and the new companion land in the same spot (cause we know damn well the Doctor loves to visit the same time periods and places over and over) and the Doctor realizes "oh wait. I'm who cleaned that up" and like half the episode should just be them trying to avoid the past incarnation. If possible these episodes should be filmed at the same time.

Whatever the title of the first episode was, the episode in the next season is called pt. 2.

I like how Rose spent years trying to get the Doctor to say he loved her, while he says how much he loves Donna unprompted...

Martha spent an entire season trying to get the Doctor to value her, while the Doctor reminds Donna all the time how amazing and important she is...

Amy, Rory, and River started to be a big happy family with the Doctor and they all wound up dead, while Donna now has the Doctor living with her and her family and they actually are all happy...

Clara got so much like the Doctor it actually got her killed, while Donna became literal part-Doctor and she survived...

And The Fam tried at every opportunity to get the Doc to open up to them and be their friend, while the Doctor and Donna are actual BFFs who openly love each other so much.

She got her memories wiped like Jamie and Zoe, but got them back.

She almost died on a spaceship like Adric, but the Doctor saved her.

Multiple other companions expressed sadness the Doctor never came back to see them, while the universe itself actually forces the Doctor to go and see his best fuckin friend Donna Noble.

Like, Donna really is the companion ever. Got everything everyone else wanted just by simply existing.

Love that for her.

About outlasting those you love most and being forced to keep on living. About celebrating the dead and the dying bc they were once alive and will forever be alive in your memories. About learning how to move on despite knowing some part of you never will. About running as fast as you can while clinging to the small bits of love and happiness you can scrape for yourself along the way. About outliving and outlasting everyone and everything you've ever put you faith in until all you have left is the faith itself. About always being dead and alive at once, carrying everyone you've ever lost and every version of yourself you've ever been on your shoulders bc you are too kind and too selfish and too full of grief to do anything else.

Doctor who is about grief. It is about life and death and hope and fear and ecstasy and bravery and melancholy and the constant balance between optimism and weight that living brings.

Doctor who is about grief. It is about how life is only precious bc everything has its time, and everything ends.
