Wish List на День народження 2022
Wish List

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s Low-Key-Genius Tips for a Foolproof Eye Look
Supermodel, style icon, mom, founder of clean, sustainable beauty brand Rose Inc—Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is about as busy as one can be. And while she could no doubt create a dramatic, runway-worthy makeup look in minutes, it makes sense that her regular aesthetic is more laid-back (but just as gorgeous). “I would describe my everyday eye-makeup look as effortless and effective,” says…

Happy Halloween!
Not sure if anyone might recognize it, but this is a crossover of Celia & Mike from Monsters, Inc. :D
Tumblr media
It was supposed to be posted as a follow-up to this (X), but it ended up being delayed until today :p
I haven't been here for quite some time, my WIPs and ideas are in a coma, and I've become ridiculously busy but the dorks from this show still occupy a smol part of my mind.
Maybe someday I'll post again if I scribble something like this time!

I like a bunch of Voltage Inc guys. They are fantastic men, and their biggest flaw is that they are fictional.
However, every time they say that MC has a part of the guilt when being harassed by other men, it ticks me off. And nearly all of them have scenes like this.
Was it my fault that my ex who was twice my size and older couldn't take no as an answer and respect my boundaries and this caused my hatred towards being touched and sex?
Was is my fault for being harassed as a kid in the public transportation? Or for being spied on in the bathroom of a hospital? Or for being told by a random man in the night train that my place is in his home?
What have girls who were sexually assaulted and raped done wrong?
I do want a man in real life to protect me, be bigger than me, and give the best hugs. Not because I can't take care of myself. But because men take seriously only other men. And I lived for long enough to be afraid of them.
I refuse to think that Voltage Inc men who tell MC that she has to be more aware of her surroundings instead of asking her if she is okay are canon. And I intend to rewrite the scenes where something like this happens. Because it's not MC fault, like it's not mine, or any other victim's.

Analysis + Fault spoilers under cut
Let’s get into this! Heavy spoilers for future events that aren’t published yet. This panel focuses on ways the characters have sacrificed themselves for their loved ones or otherwise hurt on their behalf.
Philza is given the word Love as it is the means by which he binds himself into the form of a person. Due to being a concept, his form reflects his mental state, and such anguish shows up as injuries. He carries a heart wound, which typically appears after the death of a Collected.
Wilbur is given the word Will/Wil as a pun, but also because he deals heavily with themes of willpower and its intersection with authority. The scarlet scars from the void are misleading, as the actual sacrifice depicted here is when Wilbur sells years of his life to the void in exchange for the power to protect his family, gaining white hair.
Tubbos’ rib like features are wounds clawed into them by Tommy during an attempt to save him. Despite the fact Tommy’s Red destroyed their body, Tubbo still held onto him.
Tommy’s section deals less with him sacrificing and moreso with him being sacrificed. Tommy is being choked by a Foundation guard in order to summon The Blood God. It is the love that The Blade has for him that leads him to being tortured.
The Blade has the word Slaughtered for the obvious reason of being the vessel for the god of Slaughter and Supremacy. The Blade fought very hard for his agency so that he could separate himself from the sea of voices. However, part of the cost of protecting his friends means allowing himself to succumb to the voices so that The Blood God can kill their enemies. The Blade sacrifices his bodily autonomy for their safety.

Do we get to hear you sing Celine tonight? C: I don't sing Celine. I don't know what you're talking about. You don't know what I'm talking about? C: *winks* How'd you get Rose to do that? C: I didn't. I don't know what you're talking about.
T: Sometimes you gotta push people to do what they really wanna do.

November 1985 (albeit set in July 1985). As this issue finally reveals, Alan Scott, the Golden Age Green Lantern, was married very briefly in the mid-1960s to a woman named Alyx Florin, who was actually Rose Canton, a.k.a. The Thorn, a Golden Age Flash villain with a split personality. Alan had thought that Alyx died in a fire on their wedding night, but she actually fled and later had two children, who were raised by adoptive parents as Jennie-Lynn Hayden (Jade) and Todd Rice (Obsidian). The Thorn eventually reemerged and nearly killed both Alan and their kids before her Rose/Alyx personality briefly reasserted itself and she took her own life. Afterward, Green Lantern's old frenemy The Harlequin (Molly Maynne), who'd been following Rose in hopes of intervening, explained what she had pieced together about the whole sad story, and revealed for the first time that she was actually Alan's former secretary, who'd been in love with him since the 1940s. Alan then asked her to marry him.
Tumblr media
This wedding, incidentally, took place on July 23, 1985; this was the era where writer Roy Thomas was still trying to keep the JSA moored to real time.
Alan and Molly were still married as of the vile BLACKEST NIGHT crossover, but were both temporarily banished from continuity by the New 52 reboot. With the current revival of DC's Golden Age characters and the revelation that Alan is gay, I figure it's a coin flip whether Molly is simply ignored or killed off in some awful way.
(There's no particular reason Alan being gay would necessarily erase his past marriages — his decision to marry Molly in this story was the act of a lonely middle-aged man who'd just faced a series of upsetting events and revelations in the midst of a world-shattering crisis — but given how little use DC has for older female characters and how contemptuous fans are of female characters who stand in the way of their gay blorbos, I think the likelihood of Molly being treated with any respect (if she's mentioned at all) is probably low.)
