because i absolutely cannot be stopped i've made a temeraire oc

born to aviator parents, georgie probably would've been slated for an egg if she'd been a boy, but she and her sister were girls, and while there aren't many women in the corps, there also aren't many dragons who absolutely require a female captain

but she loves being an aviator and loves dragons, and is on good track to be a lieutenant in some years

of course the dragon plague upends things, and there is a lot of reshuffling and many many aviators are grounded

she sneaks in to watch the egg hatching of an uncertain breed. and the dragon rejects all the potential captains offered to her and instead seeks out the teen girl hidden away, refusing everyone else

the dragonet hatched quite small, and despite a rapid growth period and everyone's best efforts, she ended up even smaller than the average winchester

and thus the two learned to be couriers

which is probably good. since her dragon mostly views other people on a range from disinterest to dislike. she would not have taken well to a crew

and this personality is juxtaposed with georgie's attempts to be confident and easy going due to her new duties, which are more public than she was trained up for

tell me about eric?

Eric is essentially what one could call the main antagonist of SitD.

He's five years or so younger than Daniel chronologically (aka: taking the whole vampirism thing into account), and was one of the members of the small group Amalthea kept at that time (Consisting of, oldest to newest: Lila, Carter, Daniel, and Eric). Made from Carter's blood, and forced to kill by Daniel--per Amalthea's orders (and we don't go against those here, because it's early days and nobody wants to be murdered by the horror in carved marble that is Amalthea).

Anyways. He took a little too well to the whole indiscriminate murder thing and went a step more towards Amalthea in the vein of Gleeful Enjoyment of if not Actual Arousal from Cruelty.

He's the only one aside from Daniel who survives Amalthea's destruction of their little group. And he did that by staying obedient and bloodthirsty while Daniel ran as far the fuck away from that as he could.

Eric likes to pop in sometimes.

The first time he did this, Madeleine stabbed him with one of her less loved swords, and left him chained up in a basement until Amalthea found him. By then, Daniel was long gone.

The second time, he lies to Jesse in an attempt to befriend Daniel's new family, and when Daniel finds him at the house, threatens to kill Eric, can't go through with it, aaaand Moira shoots him a handful of times before he finally gets the fuck out.

Nobody sees Eric the third time he comes back, aside from Alex. Who gets coerced into drinking vampire blood, and that's how they end up stuck halfway between human and dead.

And the last time.

Well.

He shows up a couple months later, irritated that Alex is still half-human, and abducts them. He drops them in the center of a night club and after making sure nobody can get out, promptly starts a massacre in an attempt to break Alex and get them to kill. It doesn't work, the rest of the vamp!house eventually show up to take Alex home, Daniel still can't make himself kill Eric even now-- but allows Jesse and Moira to do it.

They tear his head off and leave him to burn with the rest of the corpses he created that night.

Anyways.
