Summary: Bryce had landed and now she is stuck. While Rhysand grapples with things he has been keeping to himself, he lets everyone else deal with the new guest.

Nesta and Bryce make a connection with one another over a fussy mother hen of a house and their particular way of dealing with overwhelming feelings. They come up with a plan that will lead some of our friends into a new world full of wildfire in search of, what they hope, is salvation for Bryce's world. The trip is more than they bargained for and when the cost of secrets turns out to be her home Feyre comes into her own as High Lady of a court that will need her now more than ever.

Azriel struggles with something he thought he lost a long time ago. As his family is ripped apart and new alliances are forged he will have to learn to trust those that hurt him in the past and find a way to let go of the shadows he's lived in most of his life and come in to the light.

Rowan Whitethorn has a lot of great romantic lines, but my favorite will always be this one from Empire of Storms, when he’s in the process of rescuing Dorian:

“We may need to find someone [in Skull’s Bay] who escaped the butchers -- someone to instruct you more than I can.” “You taught Aelin.” Again, silence. “Aelin is my heart. I taught her what I knew, and it worked because our magics understood each other deep down -- just as our souls did. You are...different.” (Empire of Storms, 133)

There’s something so next-level romantic about making a romantic speech about the person you love to someone else, and Rowan just tosses those lines off so casually. He wants to tell the whole world that he’s in love with Aelin. Even more than that, it’s like that love is hard-wired inside him at that point. Of course he’s going to talk about it. He couldn’t possibly stay silent.

Also, the line itself is just so good. Not that Aelin has his heart, not that she understands him on a heart level, not that their hearts are aligned. She simply is his heart, beating in his chest, elemental and vital.

I love a good swoony SJM speech, but for me, Rowan beats them all in four words and I love him for it.

Chaol hahahaaha I feel I would exasperate him a bit, because he is too vanilla (still adore him though) and I'm a little bit more outthere and would not hesitate to call out his bs. But because Aelin, Dorian and the rest of the gang including his wife Yrene would adore me, he would be forced to spend time with me and realize what a fucking gem I am.

9. How quickly did you stop shipping Chaolaena? Or do you still ship ot?

Never fucking did boo! My heart was Celorian all the way, which made the first half of CoM a fucking nightmare, and then when Chaol and Celaena break up after a solid week of dating and she realizes she's been a dick to Dorian and they start being friends again and Chaol is left to be with this own dubious morals and blind loyalty, it was nothing but bliss. Fucking bliss.

I still think that had Rowan and Manon not shown up, Aelin and Dorian would have ended back together, because much like Rowan, Dorian always accepted everything she was.
