“Are you trying to assume my boyfriend is poor?” Tim said, turning towards him.

“You said it not us” Jason responded, making Tim yell at him. The three of them yelled at each other making a huge ruckus. Bruce passed by watching them fight which made him quickly turn around back to his room. A few minutes later Roy Harper walked into the kitchen standing near the three boys.

“Guys?” Roy said but none of them answered after a few minutes of trying to get their attention.

“What!” The three of the yelled at Roy.

“Why are you guys fighting right now?” Roy asked separating them.

“We are trying to figure out who got us these flowers” Dick responded agitated, looking at him.

“Oh, that’s what this is about? Easy, I got the flowers” Roy responded with a shrug.

“See! I told you guys it was mine! Thank you so much Roy” Jason responded, giving him a side hug.

“You’re welcome? But just so you know this isn’t for you” Roy responded confused.

“What?!” Jason exclaimed, pushing Roy out of the hug.

“Ha! I knew you would eventually come through” Dick said, hugging Roy.

“It wasn’t for you either, Dick” he muttered.

“You disappoint me, Harper” Dick said, letting him go.

“I’m flattered Roy” Tim said walking towards him to walk him but before he did Roy spoke.

“Guys, it’s not for any of you guys. Did you even read the card?” Roy asked, looking at the trio. All three of them shook their heads, not making Roy roll his eyes.

“Well for who isn’t then?” Tim asked, raising his eyebrows.

“Oh, hi Roy!! I just wanted to thank you for the gifts” Y/n said walking in with chocolate covered strawberries in her hand.

“Y/n?!?” The trio exclaimed looking between the pair. Roy quickly blushed covering his face.

“What?” She asked, confused taking a bite of the chocolate covered strawberries.

“The flower arrangements are for you?” Dick asked, raising an eyebrow.

“The flowers, the chocolate covered strawberries and the plushies are for me, why?” She said looking at her brothers.

“I just can’t believe you and him or even better, you with anyone” Tim said looking at the flowers.

“What can I say, I got the romantic genes in our family” She said winking at them.

“You did not” Jason glared at her.

“I’m the only one that got a gift, so..” she said with a laugh making them roll their eyes.

“Just wait until you read the card” Roy responded with a small smirk. The three of them leaned into the flowers picking out the card reading the little note. All three of them angrily gasped at what they read.

roy didn’t know what it was about you that had him as infatuated as he was.

was it your face? yes. your intellect and superb intuition? also yes. maybe it was the sex?? definitely yes. god, he’s not that shallow is he?

maybe it was your bitter and cold personality. your hurtful comebacks during arguments, or even minor disagreements. or it could be all the times he’s woken up to an empty bed after a night spent with you.

as much as he’d like to say it’s not the latter — he loves it and you know that, of course. the back and forth, the fights that last anywhere from an hour to several months. hell, he even loves your sharp words, but only because they’re coming from your beautiful mouth.

you knew you weren’t the nicest person, actually pretty much everybody knows that. i mean, your cunning remarks and bitterness are what have gotten you this far, after all. to be fair, you’ve admitted to being sly and rude many times before. sooo maybe its his fault..?

of course you’re working on it tho (as you have been for years), he knows this. he keeps this in mind as you try to get the last word in, slamming his door immediately after. it’s times like those where he feels he doesn’t know you anymore. where he feels the need to ask who’ve you become.

but when it was good, it was really good. late nights and early mornings spent with you might be worth all the trouble.

even though you were a bit of a bitch, you knew how to love. you knew exactly what to say and when to say it. you’re affectionate and loving and sweet and caring and god, he’ll never feel anything like it ever again.

and that’s why he feels the need to keep trying to make it work with you. why he’ll always try to make it work.

He wasn't supposed to like her. He was supposed to tease her and annoy her like all the friends of her brothers did. No, but Roy Harper just had to go and fall in love with the girl who was two years his junior. He didn't mean to. It was an accident, but he couldn't help but feel jealousy as she snuck off from the gala with some rich asshole who couldn't appreciate her. None of them ever appreciated her the way he did.

"Y/N?" He said as he entered the office of the Wayne Manor that Y/N disappeared to. She was pressed against a stack of books with the rich asshole kissing her neck.

"Roy?" She gasped as she pushed the guy away from her. Somehow being caught by Roy was worse than being caught by any of her brothers.

"You need to leave now," He said pointing to the guy. The rich asshole flashed a smile at Y/N before walking out. Roy may or may not have shoulder-checked him on the way out.

"You're no fun," Y/N said with her signature pout. Her rich dark skin was illuminated by the fireplace in the study. He could see her figure clearly in the dress, and there was nothing that he ever wanted to touch more.

"Fun? Is that what that was?" He questioned her as he walked towards her. There was a slight red tinge to his face and Y/N had to admit he looked nice all cleaned up. However, she preferred his more rugged look with his signature backward snapback and his tattoos exposed.

"Yes," Y/N sassed with her head tilted. He wanted nothing more than to kiss her at this moment.

"Guys like him only want one thing from you," He had watched her time and time again fall for losers who probably could never satisfy her properly. He could never say anything, it wasn't his place.

"Why'd you follow me? Just go back to the party," She waved him off and continued to lean on the books. She got all dolled up for nothing, she could at least get laid by a trust fund baby but no Roy had to go and ruin it. Hell, the braids she got took eight hours alone and she didn't even want to think about taking them out.

"I have watched you waste your time with guys who don't understand you or want only to be near you for your name,"

"Careful, Roy, it sounds like you have a crush," She teased while stepping close to him. She was close enough to see how he nicked himself shaving hours before the gala started. She could just smell his aftershave and he smelt delicious.

"You are the sister of my two best friends," Roy started grabbed her by the waist, and pulled her close. She could feel his breath fanning across her neck. Her breathing became uneven.

"The daughter of Bruce Wayne," He continued softly. He was tempted to take her right then and there on the stack of books. He'd have her moaning so loudly that no rich prick would try to fuck with her again.

"More importantly, the daughter of Batman," He reminded her. His lips ghosted the cusp of her ear. She nearly moaned at the sensation. He smirked because he had her right where he wanted her.

"You are forbidden fruit to me," He whispered once more before letting her go completely. She nearly whined at the loss of contact.

"Do you want a taste?" She whispered seductively. Her hands pulled back close to her by his belt loops.

"Y/N," He was playing a dangerous game by being here with her. His self-control was hanging on by a thread. The last thing that he needed was Y/N Wayne returning to her precious gala covered in hickeys and cum stained on her lips.

"I had a crush on you when I was younger. Now, though, I can only imagine what's under that tux," She whispered. Her hands rubbed his chest up and down. She could just barely seeing how she had him blushing.

Her hand found itself in his hair and gripped it. Roy couldn't help but groan. "It's a deal," She said while gasping for air. The two of them made it to the door. Y/N took a quick second to straighten out her dress and reapply her lipstick. Roy couldn't help but notice how perfect she was. She placed a quick kiss on his cheek before leaving.

"Behave, princess," He whispered as the two rejoined everyone else. No one thought it was odd that the two had disappeared around the same time that night until Roy joined the Wayne's for breakfast the next day.

He sits next to him and offers the drink to him. He gives Wally the box of pizza! He snatched the box opening it and grabbed a piece. He began to devour the pizza. Wally swallow hard and put the empty box behind him. Wally drinks some of the beverage

"what's going on kid?" Roy further questioned his deeply stressed friend

Wally ran his fingers through his short red hair "I'm not in the mood to fucking talk about my feelings Roy" Wally scoffed lying. He did, he needed to confide in his brother.

"when you gonna stop lying to me kid? I told you can trust me" Wally then began thinking back to when he was getting abused by his dad.. The source of what was bothering him.. Roy was there for Wally. He always is.

Angered he extend his arm glaring off in the distance "it's not that fucking simple Roy. I promised her I was happy but--" he sighed heavily his throat shaking

"Wally you two will work things out" he said with a shrug to his shoulders "she loves you enough to put up with you"

"I don't want to be him ok" Wally said shallow breath "I look at her and I think about the baby. Then my joy is absolutely ripped away as I think about..."

"West.. You're--" he cut him off

"don't, just don't." he hissed "I'm fine Roy. I acted like a complete dumbass. I deserve to feel like this" his voice broken

"no your not and no you don't. Wally listen to me man. Just tell her what's going on. It's not gonna stop hurting but it will get easier" Roy promised him.

"I am so fucked up right now Roy. I keep having nightmares of me turning into.. Him" Wally lightly shakes his head being honest with himself "I don't know how.. " he feels so broken. Like he's sick. He takes another gulp of his drink "I am going to lose her" he strutted clenching his face.

"go home West, be honest with her.." Roy yawns taking the empty drinks and boxed pizza. Wally gently nodded taking his friends advice "well I'm exhausted some kid-idiot woke me up" he sarcastically said Roy stands ruffling Wally's hair like he did when he was a kid "go home, talk to your wife. Fix this. You're gonna be a great Dad Wallman. You're great with kids and honestly you're not ever going to be like him"

As he opens the door "you got me out of the storm again Red" Wally thanked

"I'm always here to be your therapist but try to come at normal hours.."

It's 4 o'clock in the morning. Y/N sits on the recliner chair rubbing her bump lovingly. She had fresh tears running down her face. Y/N feels a gush a wind seeing Wally with food from her favorite restaurant. He knew the baby always was kicking at this time of night and she would be having cravings.

"I know I've severely fucked up, I know this won't fix it"

He fixes her a plate and a glass of water. Wally gave her the plate of food and sat the glass on the coffee table. Wally sits on the couch still trying to convince himself he won't ever be like his parents. Y/N finished her plate of food. Wally speeded to take, her plate to the sink and clean it.. Then he puts, it away and comes back to sit on the couch.

"do you not want the baby?" she asked yet again trying not to sob "are you not happy anymore?"

The speedsters heart physically heavies. He made her feel like that. Wally shakes his head as his eyes became glassy. Wally kneels beside her taking her hand and gently kisses the palm of her hand.

"babe I am so sorry I made you feel like I wasn't happy with you.. I couldn't be happier. I just am scared.. Of hurting you and our baby" his eyes shake. He tried so hard to keep from crying. He stuttered choking back a cry "I'm so scared of becoming him Y/N... I didn't know how to tell you.. I just tried to block all my emotions and ignore them.. I don't want to hurt you or our baby.. Because I love you.. And our baby so much. If anything would ever happen to you or our baby it'd kill me"

She takes his hand.. With so much love and a hint of sympathy. How is she still in love with him?

"Wally, you're my love. You are so much full of light and love.. You are nothing like him. You are my other half and I love you. Our baby will love you"

She pulled him closer into a hug. He lays on her chest letting himself cry. He kisses her bump feeling the baby kick for the first time. Then guilt hits her hard enough to make her cry.

"I should have told you sooner I just you'd been distant from me and I.."

"what's wrong? Is something wrong with the b-baby?" he asked his voice became heavier as a tear falls down.

"I'm not pregnant with just one baby" she admits

A wide smile came to his lips.

Months later...

It was late in the night Wally was cuddled up next to his wife after patrol with Nightwing. She had just told him to be quiet so he didn't wake up their son. As Wally finally felt rested he hears a gentle cooing sound from the baby monitor.

Wally speeded into the nursery. He lifts his daughter into his arms. He loved to hold her. To hold his son.. He loved them so much it was better than getting struck by lightning, better than anything. The fact that his wife went through what she did to bring them into the world.. He began to cry. He never thought he could feel so much adoration and love.
