This is my absolute favorite painting. There is so much emotion in the characterization of this couple and the style just seems so modern even for our times. The combination of abstract shapes and detailed sketch of the faces says so much about the artist and what they notice about people and the world around them. I just relate really hard to that and this idea popped into my mind <3 Hope y'all like it!

The lovely disco_rose made me art for The Harder the Rain, the Sweeter the Sun! I just love her attention to detail here---how beat up Riza's portrait is compared to Roy's. But you have to cut him some slack...that's his Emotional Support Photograph.
