Rating the pets of EAH based on what is on the EAH wiki and my limited knowledge:

Adelita - Rosabella's butterfly. I have never heard of this. Also apparently Adelita translates to 'noble'?? 3/10 I don't think it suits her and also how do you keep a butterfly as a pet.

Barber - Poppy's squirrel monkey. I guess squirrel monkeys are cute and I can see it as a pet for her but I have yet again no memory of this. 5/10

Clipper - Holly's lion cub. Apparently it is 'charmed' to stay a cub forever?? Don't know how that work or why she has a lion or why she would name it Clipper?? there are better names girl. 3/10

Carmine - Cerise's dire wolf. Okay so technically they're part of the same pack or something but it's the daughter of Littler Red Riding Hood and the big Bad Wolf. You can't go wrong with giving her a wolf friend whose name is another shade of red. 6/10

Carrolloo - Kitty's caterpillar. A sneaky little guy. From what we saw of him he compliments Kitty's personality and you know, a caterpillar with a wonderlandian? It's not like I can be mad. 6/10

Clockwork - Cedar's wooded cuckoo. Okay I do actually like this a lot. Even if we never really saw him it's a great concept for her pet to be wooden like her. Especially when you consider it would probably have to been made specifically for her. I love it 8/10

Clydesdale - Farrah's pet mouse. Don't recall and there are better mice. 2/10

Divacorn - Briar's unicorn. Absolutely slayed so hard I don't care about the name which is an astonishing feat. I mean of course Briar would have a pink unicorn it just makes sense. 8/10

Drake - Hopper's dragonfly. Drake. 2/10 Only getting extra points because it is a literal DRAGONfly. He breathes fire.

Earl Grey - Maddie's dormouse. Perfection. Best dressed of all of the pets. Is a silly little guy with a silly little hat that lives in her hat. Impeccable. 10/10

Gala - Apple's snow fox. Gala is a great name just because of the fact this it is not only a type of apple but also a fancy party. Very royal, on brand, like to curl around her neck. Iconic. 8/10

Grizz - Blondie's baby bear. Blondie. Girlie. You are a reporter. Please get original. A bear for goldilocks' daughter is fine but it's just like. I'm bored girl. You can do better. 3/10

Jelly - Ginger's gummy fish. I. Love this. A sentient gummy fish she accidentally made? So iconic I'll ignore the basic name. It's like naming your goldfish 'Goldie'. Anyway, I love the concept, love the execution. 8/10

King Benedict - Humphrey's chicken. No. 2/10 for egg related name.

Mr. Cottonhorn - Dexter's jackalope. Guys. Guys. look at him.

He's just a little guy. 10/10.

Moustro - Melody's rat. I like the idea and the pun name but I feel like I'd need to see a picture to be impressed. 5/10

Nevermore - Raven's dragon. There is no need for discussion. 10/10

P-Hawk - Daring's peacock. I think I remember him being kind of terrible so uh 1/10 because Daring I don't think that's how you say peacock honey.

Pesky - Hunter's squirrel. I love how even though they're like enemies they have the same haircut and Pesky has a little acorn bag that Hunter definitely made for him. Lives up to his name. 7/10

Philia - Cupid's Pegasus. Apparently 'Philia' is one of the ancient greek words for love that is often translated to friendship. soooo, even though I didn't know about her she gets a 6/10 because I think that's sweet.

Pirouette - Duchess's swan. Queen. Icon. Slay. Need I say more? 10/10

Sandella - Ashlynn's phoenix. The fact that Ashlynn has a phoenix because it rises from the ashes is so hardcore and I love it. Even if her name is Sandella. 7/10

Shuffle - Lizzie's hedgehog. The bestest and cutest little croquet ball. I don't have much to say but love you dearly. 7/10

Sir Gallopad - Darling's horse. He can change colour and camouflage which is THE coolest thing. Horsegirl Darling. 8/10 Also Daring officially has the worst pet out of the Charming siblings.

Spindle - Faybelle's pomeranian. Of course an evil fairy you have such an unassuming evil little dog. And of course she named it after her evil destiny. Iconic. 8/10.

I've been playing Slime Rancher 1 this past week(It's the only thing keeping my head above water lol) and I unlocked the Glass Desert and got like 4 new slimes yesterday so I rearranged my ranch last night and I'm really proud of it! Slime Rancher is so chill and cute.

I also tested out drones for the first time and oh my god is life so much easier. I just need more royal jelly for more refinery links. Give me royal jelly...

Some notes (1)That's an empty pond in the main ranch to fill up my tank cause I get knocked out a LOT. (2) I have the Ocha Ocha plot at my lab for my fire slimes but I might switch to fruit so I can program drones better (3) I forgot I wanted to add a coop to the Docks. But I also like it being all ponds. (4)Dervishes are pink cause I like having sources of pink plorts for science.

Also my rad-blooms, pink-rocks, hunter-honeys, and phosphor-crystals are my four core combos and I love them all. (I kinda want to try SR2 today and have saves going on both since I can get SR2 free on Xbox Gamepass)

Peace had been brought to the lands of Ylisse, Ferox, and Plegia after the defeat of Grima. Years had gone by from Grima’s defeat and it seemed that some weren’t content with the peace. It was time for another ball in Ylisse and all of the royal family had to attend. Rebecca was getting the final preparations done with getting the kids into their outfits. It wasn’t hard to get Chloe into hers as she always wore this but Lucina and Thomas would fight her a little wondering why they had to dress up and grandpa hunter got to keep his armor on. Rebecca explained that when they were older and had a power suit they could wear it at the balls they went to but for now this was what they had to dress in.

With everyone in their fancy outfits, Rebecca went to go find her husband. The kids were sent with their grandfather and Uncle Frederick to the ball. She was in a more frilly dress than her queen attire typically was. It was a poufy ball gown that was the latest in Ylissian fashion. She gave Chrom a kiss after seeing him and the two went down to the entrance hall and began to greet everyone arriving. There were diplomats from all over. Chon'sin, Ferox, Plegia, even some local Ylissian diplomats arrived.

This was going to be a ball and a feast afterwards. It was a joyous time. Rebecca had been dancing with other diplomats as was expected of the queen but the best dance of the night was when she could finally have the dance with her husband. When it was finally time, Rebecca walked over to her husband and gave a curtsy before taking his hand in the dance. They twirled and spun as the music played. It was like a fairytale to Rebecca. She even caught glimpses of Hunter and Frederick dancing with the kids.

The feast was where things started to go wrong. Everyone was lead into the grand dining hall for the feast. The royal family were seated next to each other minus Hunter who preferred to stand guard. Servants had come out with the food. It was divine tasting as always. Rebecca had to make a note to thank the cooks for a splendid job. It was when the second part of the meal came out that Rebecca thought that the Dining Hall was getting a lot more stuffy than it normally felt. She put a hand to her forehead and felt it burning. Trying to stand up, she felt her legs wobble like jelly.

“Honey. I don’t feel so…” Her words were cut off as she felt a tightness in her throat.

As she collapse to the ground, she grips at her throat trying to gasp for air. There were a couple of screams and shouts as Rebecca fell to the floor. Hunter had rushed over to the family and has to move them from Rebecca.

“Chrom. Keep the kids close. I need room to help Rebecca.”

Reaching into his medical pouch, he grabs an injector and plunges it into Rebecca’s leg. The blue serum slowly drains from the injector and into Rebecca. Her gasps slowly dissipates and her breathing had returned to normal. All of this had caused Rebecca to pass out. It seemed that someone tried to poison the queen.

If only balls were gone when Grima was too. Alas, it was one of his duties to attend to these parties as the now fully ascended Exalt. Before the battle with Grima, he was only the representative of Ylisse, honoring his late sister who only passed away not too long. Now, years passed and it was right for him assume his full title. A bittersweet experience for sure but it is a must, unless he wants to throw this on Lissa, which he won’t.

Chrom was standing with Gaius, who was relaying some intel on a few missions he was tasked with when the thief whistled and pointed to the queen coming towards her husband. The king turned around and was stunned when he saw his wife. No matter how many times he sees her in pretty dresses or outfits, she will always make his heart skip a beat. Gaius elbowed Chrom then bowed to the queen, complimented her look and slipped away. “You’re...beautiful...as always.” had it not for the party, he would’ve took her away ...

The two went on greeting their guests and thanking them for coming. The ball continued on, everyone was enjoying their time and that’s what the exalt and queen hoped for. Music echoed in the ballroom and pairs were dancing happily. When music was changed, Chrom took notice it was his time as the host to dance with his wife and Rebecca was already on it, taking his hand and guiding him to the center of the ballroom. God...he loves her. They were the image of harmony and love, everyone praised the couple. Even some folks who were single, were sighing around, wishing they have what the two are having right now. The two exchanged flirtatious words here and there, smiles and wishes to good time to everyone here. Seeing their children participating in dancing with both Hunter and Frederick, the two chuckled at the adorable scene. As the music died down, their final dance came to an end. The cheering and the clapping rained the ballroom before Chrom announced the feast is now on hold and the guests are free to move to the dinning hall.

All is good until Chrom noticed Rebecca sweating more than usual. “B, are you okay?” he whispered but at first, she shook her head saying it was alright. But as time progressed, she definitely did not look good. When she got up, Chrom quickly pushed his chair to stand by her side but he didn’t manage to catch her when she fell because it happened so fast. Crouching to pick her up, Chrom panicked seeing her in pain, “Rebecca! Rebecca!! What’s wrong!?” Hunter instructed Chrom to see for the kids quickly while he looked at what is wrong with Rebecca. “R-right... please...” his voice was shaky.

Gathering the children around him, the knights had already secured the exists and Frederick had sent a word to lock down the kitchen and prevent anyone from leaving, or even tossing out any food.

“It’s going to be okay...it will be... Mommy will be fine,” he had to wrap an arm around Lucina to stop her from wriggling out of his hold to run to her mother. Thomas yelled and thrashed to go to her and Maria dropped crying while Chloe was in shock she stood there staring. Maribelle and Lissa quickly came to move the children away, leaving Chrom fighting the urge to draw his blade and head to the kitchen to question whoever was there for answers.

When Rebecca breathing stabled, Chrom pushed his ill thoughts aside and ran to sit beside her. “Rebecca...Becca...honey ... I’m here. It’s alright...You’ll be alright...I promise.” the king glanced back at hunter, he tapped his shoulder and said, “I’ll leave her in your care ... “ Hunter could see there were no light in his eyes. The look of a man who is ready to slaughter everyone in the room if he was ticked off now.

“Everyone, I apologize for what transpired right now. The Queen is alright now. I beg your pardon to excuse me. Please, follow what Frederick instruct. I apologize again. If you will excuse me ...” turning on his heels, he existed the room and went down the hall to the kitchen.

Someone will tell him what happened.

Hello old and new followers, welcome back or to Slimeulation! A ask blog / story continuation of the fic More Than A Slimeulation. This is our cast of characters, the ranchers of The Far, Far Range. If it wasn’t obvious yet, this is a Slime Rancher AU. I’ll start the blog up very soon after I get a few things taken care of, but I’m glad to finally have this out and done! More information about each of our ranchers will be under the cut for you to indulge in.

Name: Gordon Freeman (He / They) Ranch: Southpaw Ranch Slime Specialty: Pink Tabby, Phosphor, Rock, Puddle Exchange: Primordy Oil, Spiral Stream, Lava Dust, Deep Brine, Silky Sand About: Gordon is a charismatic young rancher whose been a part of the Far, Far Range for nearly four years. Being one of the most experienced ranchers here, he tends to hop onto any task given to him if its something that’ll help his fellow ranchers. Not one for using the jet boots due to a fear of height, and someone who generally keeps most things to himself, Gordon likes to spend most time if not doing anything hidden away deep in the Ancient Ruins. He lost his right arm a few weeks after arriving on his ranch via large rubble falling and pinning him in place. Gordon was lucky enough to have met Tommy then, who brought him back to Coolatta’s Corral to properly treat his wounds and nurse him back to health with his dad. Name: Benrey ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛ (Any Pronouns) Ranch: Echo Location Slime Specialty: None Exchange: Echo, Chime About: A secretive rancher with a missing left hand and little known about him, Benrey is rarely seen around the Far, Far Range. He arrived around a year ago with Forzen, claiming that he had inherited a ranch from his family held in the Glass Desert, but not explaining who this family was for personal reason. Benrey does not own a single slime on his ranch, preferably handling the rarer items one can find such as chime and echo. He likes the sounds and look. Only person who does know more than a few things would be Tommy, but this is simply because Tommy’s taken his time getting to know everyone since hes lived longest on the Far, Far Range. Name: Tommy Coolatta (He / Him) Ranch: Coolatta’s Corral Slime Specialty: Quicksilver Exchange: Quicksilver Plort, Newbucks, Saber Plort About: Tommy Coolatta has lived on the Far, Far Range for over ten years, growing up with his father on said ranch and learning the ways of running with the Quicksilver slime, a rare slime only they can handle. Tommy is a kindhearted ranch owner who always greets newcomers and helps them get started in running their own places, happily giving them any supply they may need and also offering a word of advice when anyone asks. With Tommy comes a very special slime, a pure saber slime by the name of Sunkist. This particular slime was a gift to him from the Coomer’s as a thank you for his help when they’d first arrived. Name: Darnold Pepper (He / Him) Ranch: Darnold’s Lab Slime Specialty: Glitch Slime Exchange: Manifold Cubes, Strange Diamonds About: While hes not the most social person in the world, Darnold is a vey easy person to get along with. With a ranch within the Slime Sea and a affinity for Slime Science, Darnold probably knows more about the different things you can do with slime than anyone else living there even if hes only been here for two years. Darnold owns what’s known as the Slimeulation. A machine that drops anyone into a simulation of the Far, Far Range to better study slime in their natural habitat without the added dangers...for the most part. Unfortunately for him, this Slimeulation started showing bugs, Glitch Slime that appeared more and more as time went on. While hes finally come to accept they’re their own slime as well, he still asks for Gordon’s help now and then to gather some up so he can further study their code. Name: Harold P. Coomer (He / Him) Ranch: Coomer’s Retreat Slime Specialty: Saber Largo, Fire Slime Exchange: Kookadoba Fruit, Spicy Tofu About: A very eccentric older man with a knack for getting himself into danger, Coomer loves exploring and adventure. Finding a nice place on the edge of the wilds with his partner to start their very own ranch, and using the special recourses and slime plort they could find, Coomer and Bubby together made quite the name for themselves with the special food they make for slime and ranchers alike. While only having lived here for two years after escaping earth, Coomer knows just about everyone, and worries for them deeply on days when they just aren’t doing their best. Hes always open to give a word of advice and maybe request others come with him into the wilds just to help them clear their heads. Coomer deeply loves his partner, Bubby and is far stronger than anyone would think he is. Name: Bubby Coomer (Any Pronouns) Ranch: Coomer’s Retreat Slime Specialty: Mosaic Slime, Saber Largo Exchange: Kookadoba Fruit, Spicy Tofu, Mosaic Plorts, Occasional Slime Science Resources About: Slime Science Enthusiast and partner of Harold, Bubby isn’t quite one to interact much at all with other ranchers. Often times he avoids them all together, hiding away in his own slime science lab and trying out new things, but when he does speak, it usually tends to come out a bit sarcastic and makes him sound just a little full of himself. He doesn’t mean to come off this way at all, he does trust most of these people, he just has a hard time properly communicating that to anyone aside from Coomer himself. Bubby likes to talk to Darnold on occasion, the two of them sharing notes and swapping ideas for new technology no one else really quite understands. Bubby has noted that Darnold will easily open up to anyone if they’re talking about the right things, and Darnold has noted that Bubby’s eyes seem to glow on some occasion, whatever that means. Name: Forzen...????? (Any Pronouns) Ranch: Forzen’s Fortress Slime Specialty: Honey, Hunter, Boom, Puddle Exchange: Royal Jelly, Hexacomb, Buzz Wax, Wild Honey, Mint Mango About: Forzen lives in a ranch hidden away deep with in the Moss Blanket. Near impossible to find and even harder to reach, Forzen doesn’t really get along with any of the ranchers aside from Darnold and occasionally Tommy. Not much is known about him, but what is known is that he has a special knack for catching and taming extremely rare slime others could only dream of finding. One such slime would be Clay Leone, a special Lucky Slime who seems to refuse to leave his hideaway. Its also known that Forzen tends to frequently get himself in to danger, if his eye injury and wrapped arms were any sign of it. Forzen has been around for a year. Name: Gregory (Gman) Coolatta (He / Him) Ranch: Coolatta’s Corral Slime Specialty: Quicksilver Exchange: Quicksilver Plort, Newbucks About: Gman himself has lived on the Far, Far Range just about as long as Tommy has, as he raised his son here. Hes never quite one to interact much with the ranchers outside of the occasional trade, and most days maybe even considered missing with how long he tends to up and disappear, but Gman genuinely means good for most people. Gman also knows more about most ranchers than the others tend to assume he does. He likes to spend days exploring and relaxing away from all the excitement of the Quicksilver tracks, often times getting lost in thought for so long he never really realizes how much time has passed. He’d probably talk about his son at any given chance if anyone asked him, and Tommy in turn would be more than willing to tell people of the days when he and his dad learned the ways of the Quicksilver and how they acted to their environment.

Bobby Singer heads up The Hunters - a motorcycle gang out of South Dakota who call The Roadhouse their main hangout - but they’re not what you might expect: Bobby and his adopted son Dean own a bike repair and restoration shop; they also hold monthly workshops for folks wanting to learn about bike maintenance. They hold fundraiser rides for local schools and for veterens. A few of them are gruff but they’re all teddy-bears at heart. They’re part of the community. Their gang sigil is a warding symbol meant to keep demons at bay, for they may have trouble in their collective pasts but they choose to live better.

Cain heads up The Knights - a motorcycle gang out of Missouri - but they’re not what you might think either: Cain and his protege Castiel call a little farm home where they house bees and promote colony health in the area; their gang helps maintain the farm and collect honey, royal jelly, combs and bee-related products to sell at weekly farmer’s markets around the state. Their bikes are also a prime attraction at monthly fairs and festivals through the midwest. Some of them can be thorny but they’re sweethearts underneath it all. Their gang sigil is a bee with its wings spread within a sun.

Slime rancher tips for @therealjacksepticeye and the community ♡

According to all known laws of aviation

According to latest episode of @therealjacksepticeye 's slime rancher, here are some of my tips, this will be a long one so get ready:

The glitch slimes have a "ditto" face that distinguishes them from other slimes. (._____.)

Glitch slimes can also transform themselves into things that blend into the environment (ex.: small rocks, fruit trees, those small mushrooms in the moss blanket, small crystals in the indigo quarry). And usually, you can get a lot of them when you find them out.

You'll know that glitch slimes are disguised as objects when they shake or seem really out of place. The easiest you can spot are pogofruit trees that bear cuberries. It's easier to spot them once you have played the slimeulation a couple of times.

Drones can extract up to 50 plorts each. You can place at least 2 in each expansion.

Advanced drones--you can get the blueprint in the 2nd tier of rewards in the update. Each costs 12 honey plorts, 12 quantum plorts, 6 hunter plorts, 6 manifold cubes, 1 royal jelly, and 2 hexacombs. Advanced drones can perform two tasks each and will help you in maintaining your ranch. Splash them with water every single day to charge them up.

Try to complete the other NPC's updates like Mochi Miles' and Odgen Ortiz's. They also have big rewards that will help you in your ranch (ex.: deluxe coop, Mochi's extra mile, deluxe upgrade for your garden).

You can breed your chicken free range. Coops are not necessary. For me, I breed my chickens free range because there is no limit. But it depends on you.

Try to diversify your slimes. You might need the other plorts to create more slime gadgets in the future. Also because the plorts that you don't usually sell are higher than usual.

Left next to Flip's hammock for her to find when she returned from a hunt, was a human-sized plate that held a huge piece of honeycomb cut in the shape of a heart. Toasted bees lined its edges. Some of the comb cells contained grubs and bee pupae soaked in honey, while the empty ones were just filled with it. The queen was also toasted, seasoned by its own royal jelly. Beside the plate was a greeting card written with profuse apology. He trusted she'd know who it was from, too.

When morning had long since been crested, Flip trudged tiredly back to her Tree Home. She didn’t feel like staying at any of the various Human sized hideouts. She wanted home. She wanted natural height. She wanted rest. Lately she’d spent so much time stretched out to accommodate outings around people that she found herself worn to the core. With the new Hunter recruits working small shifts, her schedule was finally starting to free up enough for proper rest. Not that she took it. She found things to keep her busy. Visiting people. Gardening. Distilling Gibble. Anything to keep busy. The Fairy was so unused to the concept of true free time that it made her terribly anxious and uneasy to have. Maybe one day it would feel better, as it should.

She washed herself free of the Gloom inducing Nightmare bile and sat forlornly at her little kitchen table. Vines from the wall picked at her damp hair per usual, and she didn’t even wave them off as they set to braiding everything out of the way. A dish rag twirled itself here and there over the table and floor to tidy errant drips of water, flapping at the Fairy in a scolding way.

“Sorry, sorry…” Flip sighed, touching a hand to her head to instantly dry the wet locks. “There. Got a lot on my mind, ne? I forgot.”

The rag hesitated, then dabbed itself on her hand in a gentle pat. Many of the household objects peered into the room, relieved to see that Flip had finally come home. They’d started to wonder if she had perished. But here she was, sipping her cinnamon tea, getting ready to nap as if she’d never broken routine.

All the windows fogged over with a dark, stormy spell. Perfect setting for sleep. She nearly stepped in the gifted plate of foodstuffs by her hanging bed, not having expected it to be there. She squinted and knelt down, knowing exactly who it would have come from. It was still necessary to examine it for unwelcome substances from- well, she didn’t want to think on it.

The card flipped itself open as Flip snacked on the squishy bee pupae. She read it over several times. Though it was ingrained hard into her Being to hold grudges, Markie would always hold a soft spot in her Heart. She pulled out her Heart Amulet and sent forth a warm feeling of Forgiveness to her Ward. She didn’t want to fight. For now, she would sleep. Next they met, surely it would be less upsetting for both of them.

Busy Honey Bees, Truly Social Insects

In the late 1600s, a Dutch biologist named Johannes Swammerdam metic ulously dissected a honey bee with homemade tools and a microscope soprimitive it would be difficult to recognize it as such today. In doing so, he discovered that the “king” bee possessed ovaries and was in fact a “queen.” He also demonstrated that insects had social systems as complex as any other animal. Another very significant discovery is credited to him; he was the first to document the process of metamorphosis. He showed that caterpillars and other larvae were not completely different animals from the adult forms. His drawings are still unparalleled; these and his remarkable discoveries can be explored online (janswammerdam.org).

Honey bees have long enthralled humankind. They are an enduring motif in cultures around the world. In Greek mythology, priestesses for the goddesses Demeter and Artemis were known as the “Melissae” (Greek for bees). Bees are featured in the creation myth of the San people of the Kalahari Desert, and appear as Freemason, Hindu, and Christian symbols. The Mayans were known to worship a bee god, and the Egyptians revered bees as a symbol of the sun god Ra. Honey bees are regarded as hard-working, industrious, and cooperative. Their social structure is universally admired and emulated. Our desire for honey and wax led us to domesticate honey bees. Indeed, historians note that doing so was a significant milestone in the rise of early civilizations. Honey bees’ contribution as pollinators cannot be overstated. By some estimates, well over 30 percent of modern crops depend on them. In this country, hives are often moved long distances, literally “rented” to provide pollination services for crops. One-third to one-half of all the hives in the United States, for instance, are trucked into California’s Central Valley to pollinate the world’s largest almond orchards every spring. The “pollination circuit” next goes to New York for apples, to Maine for blueberries, to Massachusetts for cranberries, and then back to the South for winter. Farmers also need honey bee pollinating services for crops of cotton, soybeans, and buckwheat, and orchard fruits such as apples, plums, and pears. Movement of hives is undoubtedly a factor in the many health problems honey bees face today, as it contributes to the spread of diseases and parasites. Another threat may be the corn syrup that is often fed to bees as an overwintering nutrient in commercial operations; it’s a bit like trying to live on fast food all winter. Pesticides, especially neonicotinoids, are widely implicated in the depletion of bee populations. You may see neonicotinoid-treated plants for sale labeled as such (which allows concerned gardeners to avoid them). Of course, humans also appreciate honey. We have sometimes gone to great lengths to acquire it—Himalayan honey hunters, for instance, gather it while clinging to sheer cliffs, an ancient practice that continues today. The sweet flavor, which varies according to a colony’s diet, is delicious. But we also value its various health benefits, including its antioxidant content. Honey, for instance, soothes a sore throat and has antifungal and antibacterial properties. You can even dab it on a cut or abrasion. Raw honey is preferable to pasteurized, as the heating process diminishes the nutrients, although it also kills unwanted yeast and prevents crystallization. Other bee products are also prized by humans. With the advent of paraffin (which is a petroleum product), we take candles for granted, but wax from bees was once the principal source of household candles. We have learned to harvest propolis, a mixture of resins gathered and used by bees as a sealant; we value it for its medicinal and antibacterial properties. Royal jelly, a glandular secretion fed to larvae and queen bees, has a long history as a health and beauty treatment. Allergy sufferers sometimes eat regionally produced honey and pollen to better tolerate the effects of local blooms. Even the bees themselves have been enlisted. A long-time folk remedy, now supported by science, is bee-sting therapy to reduce the pain and inflammation of arthritis.

Q1. if you could write your character your way in their own movie, what would it be called, what style would it be filmed in, and what would it be about? A1. action movie all the way. it would feature the batman: eternal story w/ some major changes regarding steph’s involvement; mainly i would mingle in some of preboot history. occasional flashbacks to stephanie’s god awful childhood to provide background on why she’s so angry at arthur. crystal wouldn’t disappear by the end of it.

Q2. what would their soundtrack / score sound like? A2. a healthy mix of soundtrack music especially composed for the movie & some post-punk, rock, hip hop to add to the atmosphere of gotham

Q3. why did you start writing this character? A3. i’ve said it many times before, i was always fascinated by the idea of there ever being a girl robin in the comics that i had never heard of. when i learnt she was batgirl, by heart-eyes levels went off the roof. the more i read about steph, further i liked & identified with her. whens entered roleplaying she seemed like a nice fit for me to grasp as i continued to get more involved in comics. i didn’t plan to fall so much in love with her character, but after writing her for 4 yrs, i’ve become practically a one woman stephanie brown defense squad

Q4. what first attracted you to this character? A4. two words: girl. wonder

Q5. describe the biggest thing you dislike about your muse. A5. she tends to speak & act without thinking, mostly in the heat of the moment. while sometimes it is blessing, some others she has ended up severely damaging other people & her relationships with them. this has made her be a little more guarded with her feelings, evading to even say the good things.

Q6. what do you have in common with your muse? A6. i also tend to put my foot in my mouth, though it takes me far more to realize i’ve done it. i try to keep an optimistic look at things too, but inside i’m cynical as they come. i can also be just as hardheaded tbh

Q7. how does your muse feel about you? A7. i think she likes me--most of the time. when i’m not putting her thru needless pain & suffering just cuz it’s entertaining for me.

Q8. what characters does your muse have interesting interactions with? A8. goddamn--well, there’s a lot of people i’ve interacted w/ over the years, so it’s hard to pick & choose. there’s definitely a lot of people i loved interacting w/ that now are sadly gone, & there’s nothing i can do about that. but anyways, let’s see if i can do this

there’s cass, who is as close as it gets to having a sibling for steph. they’re always Up to Something; either between them or against each other. when things get low for one, they’re always for each because they know what it’s like to be seen by others (& amongst the bats themselves) as potential trouble. they’re truly the epitome of the term hetero life partners.

then there’s tim. they have had their ups & downs, but they’re finally at a stable place where they can call each other close friends once more. joint patrols are only made awkward by the fact they are naturally awkward people. (also the earth 3 threads are 👌👌 certified gold)

on the other hand we have tim who is both a blessing & the bane of steph’s existence. everything is made 10x worse by the fact that they there’s a major lack of communication & repressed feelings between them. but hey, even if they took one step forward & two steps back, there has been some progress made.

we also have kon who is slowly but surely becoming one of steph’s favorite people. he’s alway down for some shenanigans. he’s for steph to be around, and he’s definitely made up for the time he had her flying unwillingly.

lately addison & steph have had some super interesting interactions. steph sees a lot of herself from back in her spoiler days in the young vigilante, beyond the obvious physical similarities. she wants to help her reach her potential in a more consistent manner than she had herself--now if only addy would let her know wtf is going on, that would help.

Q9. what gives you inspiration to write your muse? A9. i guess seeing the people above & just people i want to interact w/ really brings out my muse. reading & re-reading comics definitely does help too; i constantly have this nagging feeling to fix where dc fucks steph up tbh
