If you're referring to the maitresse-en-titre, I don't think so. Quite often, she was one of the Queen's ladies-in-waiting.

Maria, bir gün sevdiği adam ile evlenebilmenin umuduyla yaşıyordu.

Fakat herşeyde olduğu gibi kadınlar konusunda da sıkılgan olan Napoléon (Joséphine istisnadır), Maria'ya olan ilgisini kaybetmişti.

Artık onu eskisi gibi şımartmıyordu, hatta neredeyse sevmiyormuş gibi davranıyordu.

Bu durumu fark eden Maria'nın kocası Kont Kollonel, Alexandre'yi kendi oğlu gibi gösterdi. Alexandre de büyüdüğünde gerçeği değiştirmese de Napoléon'un oğlu olduğunu reddetti.

Fakat, çoğu kişi imparator ile olan benzerliklerini göz önünde bulundurunca onun oğlu olduğunu onaylıyor.

Oğlu ikinci Napoléon ise büyükbabasının yanında depresif, keder dolu bir hayat yaşadı ve henüz 21 yaşındayken öldü.

Napoléon'un eski sevgilisi Maria Walewska ise, Napoléon'un en sadık subaylarından olan Phillip D'Ornano ile evlendi. Napoléon'u hiç unutmasa da Phillip ile uyumlu bir evlilik sürdüler. Phillip'den bir çocuğu oldu fakat, yalnızca üç ay sonra 30'unda iken Maria, genç bir yaşta öldü. Maria'nın vücudu Polonya'daki Kiernozia kilisesinde iken kalbi D'Ornano aile mezarlığına gömüldü.

Maria Walewska oldukça kısa bir hayat yaşadı. Pek çok noktası üzücüdüydü fakat hala onu tanıyan bazı insanlar var. Joséphine kadar olmasa da, Napoléon'un büyük aşkı olarak tarihe geçmişti. Maria Walewska'nın hikayesini anlatmak istedim çünkü masalsı yönüyle beni çok etkilemişti. Tabi ki bazı kısımları oldukça rahatsız edici ve sinir bozucu fakat başta sıradan görünen bir Polonyalı Kontesin tüm Avrupa'nın tanıdığı bir imparator ile olan aşkı gerçekten ilginç ve etkileyici bir hikayeye konu olmuş. Türkçe kaynaklarda, ekşi sözlük dışında Maria Walewska hakkında neredeyse hiçbir şey bulamadım. Sadece İngilizceden Türkçeye çevrilmiş bir sitedeki yazı vardı. Benim bloğum pek okunmasa da yine de en azından bir kaç insanın görebileceği bir yerde kalsın istedim. Belki ileride bu yazıyı başka yerlerde de yayımlarım.....

I really feel like male Robin should've been allowed to S support Chrom. Not even for gay reasons (...a little for gay reasons), just because the concept of Robin being Chrom's not-so-secret lover who everyone politely ignores (because really if it wasn't for the necessity of a legal heir Chrom would never have gotten married to anyone else so the queen went into this knowing that she was never going to be Chrom's actual love so it's not really cheating anyway) delights me. Birbirlerini ilk görüşlerinin ertesi günü, Napoléon Maria'yı kendisi için özel bir davete çağırmıştı. Fakat Maria muhafazakar yapısı sebebiyle, Napoléon'dan çok etkilenmiş olsa da bu teklifi kabul etmemişti.

Gençliğindeki başarısız flörtlerinin aksine imparator olduktan sonra hiçbir kadından tabiri caizse "red yemeyen" Napoléon, Maria'nın kendisini istemediğini öğrenince resmen afallamıştı. Tıpkı bir zamanlar Joséphine'de olduğu gibi, Maria'nın kendisinden kaçması onu bu kadına daha da çok bağlıyordu.

Maria'nın imparatorun teklifini reddettiğini duyan kocası ve arkadaşları ona felaket bir şekilde kızdılar. Arkadaşları böyle büyük bir fırsatı kaçırırsa, onun gerçek bir aptal olduğunu kanıtlamış olacağını söylediler. Maria artık duyduklarına inanamaz hale gelmişti. Kendi kocası, onu resmen imparator ile gayri meşru bir ilişkiye zorlamaktaydı.

Kocasının bunu yapmasının sebebi, oldukça katı bir Polonya milliyetçisi olmasıydı. Maria'nın, Napoléon ile bir ilişki vasıtasıyla imparatorun aklına girip onu Polonya'nın özgürlüğü için ikna edebileceğini düşünüyordu. Yani Kont Walewski, resmen ülkesi için karısını Napoléon'a kurban etmişti....

Maria utana sıkıla bunu kabul etmek zorunda kalmıştı. Polonya sosyetesi genç kadının üstünde büyük bir baskı kurmuştu. Herkes Maria'ya artık ülkeyi serbest bırakabilecek bir altın bilet gözüyle bakmaktaydı...

Kadın Napoléon için verilen baloya katıldı. Buraya, Varşova'nın en güzel genç kadınları özellikle çağırılmıştı. Belki imparatorun çapkın bir anına denk gelme umuduyla, hepsi en süslü kıyafetlerini giymiş, en güzel takılarını takmıştı.

Napoléon'un dikkatini ise tek bir kadın çekmişti; Maria Walewska

İmparator balo boyunca gözünü Maria'dan neredeyse hiç ayırmamıştı. Maria, sade siyah bir elbiseyle katılmıştı. Napoléon, siyah elbiseden hiç haz etmemesine rağmen tüm gece bu elbisenin Maria'nın üstünde nasıl bu kadar güzel durabildiğine hayran kalmıştı.

Bu gecenin hemen ardından Maria'ya işte bu mektubu yazdı;

"Marie, benim tatlı Marie'm, ilk düşüncem sensin, ilk arzum seni tekrar görmek. Yine geleceksin, değil mi? Yapacağına söz vermiştin. Eğer yapmazsan, kartal sana uçacak! Akşam yemeğinde görüşürüz - arkadaşımız öyle söylüyor. Bu buketi kabul etmeni istiyorum: Bunun çevredeki kalabalığın ortasında aramızda özel bir anlayış kuran gizli bir bağlantı olmasını istiyorum. Tüm dünya izlese de biz düşüncelerimizi paylaşabileceğiz. Elim kalbime dokunduğunda, senden başka kimseyi düşünmediğimi anlayacaksın; ve buketini göğsüne bastırdğında cevabını geri alacağım! Maria bunu istemiyordu. O Napoléon'a aşık değildi ki, sadece hayrandı. Fakat avını kestiren kartal, gözlerini çoktan ona dikmişti bile.

O geceden sonra İmparatorun Maria'dan hoşlandığı kesinleşmişti. Artık kadının üstünde çok daha fazla baskı vardı.

Bir gün, Napoléon Maria'yı özel olarak Varşova'daki apartman dairesinde çağırdı. Amacı belliydi.

Maria büyük bir üzüntüyle ilişki yaşamaya zorlandığı bu adamın ayağına gitti. Fakat zavallı kadın çok korkmuştu. Ağlıyordu ve hazır olmadığını belli etmeye çalışıyordu.

Napoléon, beklenmedik bir şekilde Maria'nın ellerini tuttu, ona eğer istemiyorsa bunu şimdi yapmak zorunda olmadığını söyledi. Maria çok şaşırdı ve biraz olsun sevinerek evine döndü.

Fakat Napoléon Maria'yı bir kez daha çağırdığında, kadın yine aynı şeyi yapınca Napoléon çok sayıdaki öfke nöbetlerinden birini geçirdi. Zavallı Maria bu korkunç adamdan o kadar ürkmüştü ki, tam orada bayıldı.

Uyandığında ise kendini onun yatağında buldu.....
