❥ PAKISTAN TOUR : DAY IV - 17 OCTOBER 2019

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited the cultural capital of Pakistan - Lahore on their fourth day in the city.

William and Catherine called in to meet the Governor of Punjab at his official residence as their first engagement of the day. They then visited SOS Children's Villages Pakistan and played cricket at the National Cricket Academy.

Afterwards, the Duke and Duchess visited the historical Badshahi Mosque and attended an interfaith meeting. For their final engagement of the day, they visited the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre and spent time with the families and patients receiving treatment there.

The Duchess of Cambridge attended the world premiere of James Bond ‘No Time to Die’ at the Royal Albert Hall. 

Catherine wowed in a Jenny Packham evening gown that features sequins, beads, and other embellishments. The gown is inspired by the Goldfinger model, part of the Jenny Packham x James Bond capsule collection. 

To complete the look, The Duchess of Cambridge wore a pair of Fenix golden pumps by Aquazzura, O’Nitaa earrings first worn during the tour of Pakistan tour and her citrine cocktail ring.

I don't know if anyone remembers this, but years ago Kate shared photos she'd taken on one of the tours she and William did, and the royal rota made such a fuss, complaining about it, and saying how terrible the photos were, that Kate never shared any more photos she took on tours. And I always found that a shame because they weren't meant to be professional photos but just an insight into what Kate saw on tour and what she wanted to take photos of. The RR is convinced anytime Kate does photography, she's trying to steal their jobs or something. It's so silly.

Do you mean the photos she took during the visit to Pakistan? Those were the last ones she took on an official visit and if I remember correctly, the problem was that the photos were only allowed to be published in the print version of newspapers, magazines etc., but some sites published the photos online. After a few hours I think, maybe minutes, the articles with the photos were removed but we had all seen them.

I was so sure it was going to be NZ or Australia especially since there’s been rumors about WK visiting Australia since 2020 and that it’s just kept being postponed due to the pandemic (they were going to visit because of the devastating wildfires in late 2019). Maybe Charles will do that visit when he goes to Samoa next year for the commonwealth meeting.

But Singapore is even better! Commonwealth country but not a realm, WK are LOVED there, and they have a relationship with the government already. Good choice!

I agree, and I am starved for a good royal visit to Asia. The Pakistan tour feels like it was eons ago.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made an impromptu visit to SOS Children’s Village in Lahore after a change of plans due to a bad weather.

They visited the Army Canine Centre in Pakistan's capital as their final engagement on the day before departing the country following a successful five day tour.

Totally plausible. I 100% agree with you.

I don't think it will be too much of a stretch for Meghan to do all of that. Personally I think she's going to come out guns blazing with "William is the Racist Royal" (from the Oprah interview). The "racist royal" allegations from the Oprah interview, assumed to be about Prince Philip until Harry clarified it wasn't his grandparents, are about William. (Since they were still sucking up to Charles at the time and Camilla is irrelevant to Meghan's game.)

They, Meghan especially, have been trying to get back at William since he threw them out of KP and the Royal Foundation in October 2018. Just look at what they did in 2019 alone:

The clusterf* of Archie's birth announcement, which the Sussexes blamed on KP, William's household, in May 2019.

"No one asked me if I was OK" just before the Cambridges' Pakistan tour in October 2019.

She's been pissed at William since the very beginning because he's been immune to her love-bombing since 2017 and sees right through her. He doesn't respond to her puppy heart-eyes so therefore he didn't welcome her into the family as she wanted and expected to be welcomed (whatever that is, and including to walk her down the aisle after Tom backed out).

William and Kate have always been Harkle Enemy #1.
