It all started because Inosuke was forced to leave it in the room while they took a bath

At first touch it felt rough but the further you dug your fingers in?

And surprisingly it didn’t smell bad

It smelt like cedarwood with a hint of lavender

At first Inosuke was confused

Why do you keep stealing his boar mask?

Once you tell him you just like it he’s still confused but kind of okay with it

Deep down he likes when you hold/wear it

I feel like he really enjoys quiet places

A day at the book store is usually you twos go to date

Just helping each other pick out books

Or finding really funny ones to make fun off

Another date you two go on regularly is to the park with your dog

Just watching you play fetch with her is enough to make Kokushibo laugh to himself

His favorite part about the walks though dont happen until the sun goes down

You two were walking hand in hand through the part

“Hey is something wrong?”

Your question caught him off guard. “Why would you say that love?”

“Well you keep checking your watch like somethings going to happen.”

Knowing you caught him he sighed leading you toward the tunnel of trees

As soon as the clock hit 9 the fairy lights in the tunnel turned on

“Oh so this is why you were in such a hurry.”

Pulling out his phone he put on a slow song and held out his hand

“May I?” “You may.”

And you two danced in the tunnel like you were the only people left on the planet

real quick warning. beel’s part might be a bit triggering for some <3 part 1

It was a stupid argument really. So stupid in fact that the both of you didn’t even remember what it was about. You just knew that all the pent up frustrations from the past few weeks were finally coming out. “I don’t even know why I bother. All you see is Lilith in me anyway.”

he paused and looked at you

true, he never physically met her but he is from lucifer

he’s feels the fondness that the ladder felt for her but it’s nothing more than that

a memory

“is this what this is about?”

He didn’t notice how it sounded until you scoffed

Nothing was said until you reached the door

“i often wonder what it would be like to actually love her. to hug her, share moments with her, to genuinely be able to cherish her but i’ll never get that experience. i, luckily, am able to love you and it’s been one of the best experiences of my life. i wouldn’t replace you for all of devildom. please know you mean so much more than those faded emotions.”

He let out an audible gasp

“mc…!”

He wanted to say something snooty back but nothing came up

Instead he started ushering you out of his room

“get out. the stress will only give me bags and spots”

once you’re gone he’ll sit at his vanity and just stare at himself in the mirror

then and only then will he let himself break

time stopped when the words left your mouth

no words were needed. you could see the storm going on behind his eyes

all the pain and guilt from the war came rushing back at him

“i’m sorry…”

the words were so soft and broken that if you weren’t paying attention you would have missed it

“i’m sorry. i’m sorry. i’m sorry. i’m sorry. i’m-”

he sobbed between each apology. slowly sinking to his knees. without noticing he started grabbing handfuls of his hair

though the guilt had sunk in from bringing up the topic…

you couldn’t help but wonder if the apology was for you or his sister

his breath caught in his throat, processing the words that were yelled at him

“mc is that how you feel?”

receiving no response he got down on his knee gently grabbing your hand

“it’s true i miss her. it also may be true that you are her descendent. however it is not true that i see you as her replacement and i apologize if…i apologize that i’ve made you feel as such.”

the usual confidence his voice held was gone. instead it was replaced with a quiet quivering one.

Mammon

he stared at you in disbelief

you were about to apologize knowing it was sensitive topic but mammon got to you first

he pulled you into his arms burying his face in your shoulder

“yer my human. i already l-lost you once so i d-don’t…”

his words were replaced with soft cries

leviathan

the controller fell from his hands in shock

“it was never…i never…”

he tried to find anything to argue back with but nothing came out right

instead he just stared at the ground thoughts going a mile a minute

was he really doing that? all this time did you feel like a replacement? a place holder?

seeing you turning towards the door his tail acted on its own and wrapped around your wrist

“wait don’t leave. just stay with my a little longer.”
