From last fall: One of the reddest reds on the landscape, associates with ericaceous heath belts with minimal light competition. So mainly dry sandstone with shallow nutrient poor soils and good drainage or sandstone barrens. Due to slow growth and an acidic weathering effect associated with the bark cortex and the water retention these species also tend to have incredible lichen diversity.
Citheronia regalis horn devil larva are associated as the primary moth that eats these leaves.
Oxydendrum arboreum
Sourwood, or some call it sour bark tree, chewing on the bark and active phloem was once common practice to alleviate the nerve pain associated with toothaches. The leaves themselves are an anti-gas, anti-inflammatory laxative(strong one at that). In some cases a tea can be made of the leaves that also aids in other issues and have been used to treat urinary infections by native people and early settlers to the Appalachian mountains and ilp.
Right now at llanfair permaculture we have an interesting soil dynamic that may be accessible for species like this due to good drainage and high organic comp as well as good lighting, the other thing is that these seeds don't seem to require any specialized treatment to germinate.

I’m still thinking about Kiryu wanting to be carried by Sayama, goddam, his baby girlism is STRONG.
I need to draw Sayama princess carrying him and majima too… for my own needs.
(Sorry these are a bit ugly, I just want to start drawing again so I can improve a little)

(Image from Book 1, Chapter 1)
Mirium Hussain
Full name: Mirium Victoria Hussain
Nickname: Miri (by most), Roy (by Derick)
AroAce, sapphic/flux
She/Her
Birthday: November 21
Age in episode one: 42 (as aging works differently here, functionally in her mid-thirties)
Physical traits: 157cm (5'2"), muscular with a healthy level of body fat, compact and sturdy build. Pale blue eyes with brown hair. Her facial features are roman-esque, and her skin is a darker olive compared to other characters (but still considerably lighter from a life indoors). Scattered across her face and chest are scars from acne, though they appear no more grotesque on her character than freckles would. Her hands are much the same, with red marks flicked throughout, but these scars stem from a life of working on machinery.
Personality traits: Mirium is equal parts crude and refined, in the sense that while she is orderly and has straightforward goals... her means of reaching them can be rather chaotic and messy. She is on the more reserved side of the group and requires much time on her own, but is otherwise down to clown.
Relationships: Atticus (family)
Midge (qp)
Derick, Craig, Terric, Rusty (friends)
Additional information:
- She is coded to be American, and is descended from Italian and Greek immigrants
- Her family is Jewish (nontheistic)
- Interests include scrap building, scrapbooking, and cars
- The most tech-savy of the team
- Other than Derick, she is also the only team member who can drive (but she is far more cautious and has professional training)
- Yes, her hair is brown, but she dyes it pink. It's loud, and she likes it.

Two different arches, two different upland burrowing crayfish, locally common in non turbulent spray cliff communities. The variability of red coloration through the gorge is increadible. Cambarus dubius is found in Ky, Tn, Va, Nc, Pa and Wv. The species is assumed to be a very difficult species to diliniate into its respected subsp. and is associated with site range specific species complex. In WV it is S4 and S3 in Ny. Its global rank will decrease once we have division in taxa. A good paper to read is 2010 ecology of Cambarus dubius Zj loughman et. al.

Got my paws on a copy of the Role and Reference Textbook that just came out of cambridge press
I want to go through it and contrast it with Minimalism, so I guess here's a thread. RRG to block it

Will you ever do some trees from a role and reference grammar perspective (van valin and lapolla style)?
My training is predominantly in Lexical-Functional Grammar (LFG, a parallel constraint-based framework originally developed by Bresnan and Kaplan) so the bulk of the trees are going to broadly follow that approach. However, I'm definitely open to dabbling in other frameworks, so I'll take a look at some RRG stuff and see where I get to (though this could take a while as while I have read RRG papers before I've never done an analysis in that framework before!).

Role and Reference Grammar (RRG) resources:
Cambridge has a book introduction on pre-order about RRG. Coming online June 2023, and in print sometime after that this year. I don't know what the price plan is or anything, maybe the online version will be free like some of their other books, or maybe not.
Why I like RRG (Well one small brief reason, saving some for a post): RRG, unlike other frameworks of syntax (cough, most generative frameworks) was designed with the understanding that languages vary a lot, and it was built from *many* diverse languages rather than just English. I seriously do not understand how to this day there are linguists who do not see the problem with thinking English represents the structure of every language on Earth.
