Ruby and Sapphire

Ruby, Sapphire, and Fancy Sapphire Most people don't realize that ruby and sapphire are both gems of the mineral corundum. Both of these gemstones have the same chemical composition and the same mineral structure. Trace amounts of impurities determine if a gem corundum will be a brilliant red ruby or a beautiful blue sapphire. It is surprising that "impurities" can produce such wonderful results!
Red and blue are just two of the many colors found in gem corundums. Trace amounts of other elements can produce brilliant yellow, orange, green, and purple gems. Red corundums are known as "rubies," blue corundums are known as "sapphires," and corundums of any other color are known as "fancy sapphires." Impurities cause corundum to occur in a spectrum of colors, and when it is completely free of color-causing impurities, it is a colorless gem known as "white sapphire."

Ruby and Sapphire Birthstones Ruby and sapphire both serve as modern birthstones. Ruby is the birthstone for the month of July. Sapphire is the birthstone for the month of September. They are excellent choices for birthstones because they are well know gems and because many people love red and blue gemstones.
Ruby and sapphire are not inexpensive gems and that causes a challenge when they are used as birthstones. Many people want to give a birthstone gift to a child and hesitate to give a child a gift that is costly. Or the shopper would like to give a birthstone gift, but has a limited budget. To accommodate these shoppers, the use of synthetic birthstones in low carat gold or sterling silver mountings provides a lower cost option. Synthetic corundum and synthetic spinel are often used.

What Makes a Ruby? Rubies are gem corundums with a dominant red color. The color can range from orangy red to purplish red or brownish red. The most desirable color range is a pure vibrant red to a slightly purplish red.
The red color of ruby is produced by the presence of chromium in the gem. A small trace of chromium will produce a pink color. To be considered a ruby, there must be enough chromium to give the gem a distinctly red color.
Finally, rubies must have a combination of color and clarity that makes them an attractive gem. Opaque pieces of corundum with just a hint of red color are not rubies - they are common corundum.

Ruby Treatments Very few specimens of corundum have a natural color within the range required for a ruby. Very few also have the clarity required to produce a nice faceted stone. Long ago, people who prepared gem materials for cutting began experimenting with ways to improve their color and clarity.
Heating Heating corundum crystals under controlled conditions can improve or intensify their color. Heating can also remove inclusions by causing them to dissolve, making them less visible and improving the clarity of a gem.
Most rubies in the market today have been heated to improve their color and clarity. This heat treatment is normal and expected in the gem trade, but a seller should disclose the treatment to a buyer in advance of a sale.

Fracture Filling One of the early treatments was to fill surface-reaching fractures with oils, waxes, or resins. These treatments filled pits and fractures on the surface of the gem and improved their appearance. However, these treatments are not permanent because the oils can be washed out, and the waxes and resins can crack and fall out with age - even with special care. They produce a temporary improvement in the appearance of the stone and are mainly done to produce a quick and profitable sale.
A more permanent type of fracture treatment is to fill the fractures with minor amounts of flux, glass, or another durable material. These enter the fractures during the heat treatment process. When the stone cools, a permanent filling of the fracture was accomplished. These treatments reduce the visibility of the fractures and improve the clarity of the gems. They also might improve the durability of some stones. This type of treatment is generally acceptable but should be disclosed to the buyer.
A much more aggressive treatment is to heat the gem to a very high temperature and inject glass or flux into the fractures. The temperature of this treatment can be high enough that some of the ruby melts and mixes with the fracture-filling materials. The result of this treatment is an altered stone with an improved appearance. But the stone now contains an unknown and possibly significant amount of non-ruby material. If these gems are sold “by the carat,” the buyer might pay a significant portion of the price for non-ruby material. Many people believe that these treatments produce man-made composite materials that should not be called “ruby.”

What Makes a Sapphire? Trace amounts of iron and titanium can produce a blue color in corundum. Blue corundums are known as "sapphires." The name "sapphire" is used for corundums that range from a very light blue to a very dark blue color. The blue can range from a greenish blue to violetish blue. Gems with a rich blue to violetish blue color are the most desirable.
Gem-quality corundum occurs in a wide range of other colors, including pink, purple, orange, yellow, and green. These gems are known as "fancy sapphires." It is surprising that a single mineral can produce gemstones of so many different colors.
When the color of a sapphire is any color other than blue, the color should be used as a preceding adjective to describe the stone. For example, pink sapphire, yellow sapphire, or green sapphire. Used alone, the word "sapphire" refers only to blue corundum.

Sapphire Treatments Just like ruby, sapphires are subjected to a wide variety of heat and fracture-filling treatments. And, just like ruby, any heat, fracture-filling or other type of treatment should be disclosed to buyers.

Spectacular Heat Treatment Results Some rough materials that have no trace of blue color can be heated to produce a spectacular blue. Some milky to yellowish, cloudy to translucent corundum can be heated to yield stones that are transparent and bright blue. If such treatments have been used, sellers should disclose the types of treatments to potential buyers when the stone is presented for sale.

Lattice Diffusion Some sapphires are treated by a process known as "lattice diffusion." In lattice diffusion, the sapphire is heated in the presence of a material that will release tiny metal ions. When the corundum is heated, its lattice expands enough that these tiny ions can diffuse into the gem and become trapped within the lattice when the corundum is allowed to cool. The trapped ions prevent the corundum from contracting to its normal dimensions, producing a defect that alters the color of light passing through the gem.
Beryllium diffusion can produce orange, yellow and pink colors. Titanium diffusion can produce blue. Lattice diffusion treatment is considered to be a severe treatment that is sometimes hard to detect. Some people believe that corundum which has a color produced by lattice diffusion should not be called "sapphire."

Mining Rubies and Sapphires Most gem-grade corundum forms in metamorphic rocks, such as schist or gneiss; or in igneous rocks such as basalt or syenite. However, gem corundums are rarely mined from the rocks in which they form. Mining small gems from hard rock is possible, but it is very expensive, and many of the gems are broken during the mining process. Fortunately, corundum is very hard and resistant to weathering. In many areas, natural weathering and erosion have liberated the stones from their host rock, and carried them into streams over long periods of geologic time.
Today, the gems are mined from these stream sediments. Their high specific gravity relative to other sediment particles often causes currents to concentrate them in small placer deposits. Most rubies and sapphires are produced by washing the gravels of these stream deposits. This work is often done by hand because the deposits are small and irregular in shape and character. These deposits are often located in countries when wages are very low and artisanal mining is prevalent.
Noteworthy locations where gem-quality corundums have been produced include Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, China, Australia, Madagascar, Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria, and Malawi.

How It is Created: Bloodstone is a variety of chalcedony quartz with a distinctive dark green color combined with specks and clumps of red jasper inclusions
History: The distinct blood red marks within the stone are often used for talismans because it is believed that the stone protect one from evil spirits. In medieval times, it was believed the blood specks came from the blood of Christ while he was being crucified as his blood dripped down onto the rocks. Legends such as the tale of Percival, one of King Arthur’s knights who went on the quest for the Holy Grail, illustrate the combined qualities of bloodstone. Percival was a knight trained in the physical aspects of combat, but his quest took him into the spiritual realms, teaching him lessons about illusion and the power of unconditional love. dirt collapses beneath your feet, your torn shoes skidding on the edge of the cliff north of liyue harbor. you can hear the waves lap at the rock thousands of feet below you, layered under the huffs of the people in front of you.
steel blades shine in the hot sun, the millelith wielding them just as fierce. you can see the hatred in their eyes, the need for your end, whether by the spears in their hand or the waters behind you. the only reason they haven’t struck is because of the woman behind the ring of them.
a dark oak pipe balances on the tip of ningguang’s finger, her eyes as sharp as their ruby hue. she lets it tip to one side, her head following the tilt, before she spins it back into her palm. every action is defined with grace, not so much as a hair out of place. every golden ornament shows off her prestige, her power, how without even lifting a finger she has you pinned in place against a cliff.
perhaps if you weren’t at risk of dying, you might feel different about it.
one of the millelith asks if they’re allowed to strike. the red tassel on her forehead swings as she shakes her head.
“no. this fake is not worth liyuen metal.” ningguang tucks the pipe away in a smooth motion, crossing one arm over her chest to rest the opposite elbow on it. a clawed finger swipes an invisible hair back into place on her bangs. “send them to the sea. their bones will serve as an excellent toothpick for osial.“
well, that was a horrific visual.
in an instant, the millelith spin their spears around, careful to keep the blades away from themselves and each other to jab to dull ends at you. behind them, ningguang barely looks fazed, examining a geo crystal in her hand. you know the nonchalance is manufactured, a subdued silence, but that doesn’t make it any better. she doesn’t care that she’s sending you to your death. she knows it, wants it, and what would the millelith be if they couldn’t remove one person from the tianquan’s presence?
your left foot is standing half on air. the part that is on ground is shaky, uncertain, dirt nowhere near as stable as stone.
you risk a look at ningguang.
ruby eyes are the last thing you see before you fall.

you wake up on a beach, sandy and exhausted. invisible wounds bleed harder as sand gets into them as you sit up to look around. your clothes are hard with saltwater, and it’s a miracle you made it here alive. though teyvat has been kind, fruit and clean water always within reach, you didn’t think that you would live long enough to hit land.
you stand—nearly falling—and shake out as much sand as you can, looking around. across the sea is a small island, within swimming range, but youre not inclined to explore when your limbs still feel so heavy. to your right, the beach narrows off, overtaken by the cliff behind you, but it seems to open up more to the left.
you decide to stumble that way, passing a spike of driftwood, and stop just as quickly.
you can see green roofs of houses, spires and what is maybe a watchtower in the distance, the architecture familiar. red and orange trees are interspersed between them, and your hopes fall.
you’d hoped you were in the stone forest. you’d hoped that you’d have a chance, knowing the abundance of hilichurls on the small islands, but now you’re…
you start walking, hoping to find some clues to prove your hunch wrong.
you see an okay looking boat, but youre preoccupied by the path branching to the left. wooden boards seem to make a walkway, and you step over them on your way inside. theres a small tent, a lantern, a block of supplies and a cooking pot. in the tent is a bed fashioned of hay, but embers light up the wood beneath the pot.
it would be a cozy enough place to stay, but you can’t risk whoever owns it coming back.
you head back the way you came and continue towards the city. the sand slides beneath your ragged shoes, but theres flowers following the breeze in the grass near the cliff. purple and a soft blue, they distract you long enough that a guard walks to their post further down the beach.
oh.
oh no.
you recognize the uniform, and the logo of the tenryou commission embossed on the armor. if inazuma is the same as any other nation—likely worse, considering the way its run—you need to avoid those guards at any cost.
you look to the cliffside. its steep, too steep to climb when youre still soaked from the sea.
you sigh, and decide to find another way up.

youre not quite sure how none of the guards saw you, but under the dwindling light of dusk, you manage to make to the southern(?) outskirts of what appears to be ritou.
…not that that means anything. you still don’t know how to get off the island, and trying to forcibly get deported will only result in an arrest. though there’s a food cart that most certainly can see you, the worker didn’t report you to the guards when they passed. you don’t remember her name, but know she sells some kind of food. maybe a fish dish? or was it egg? not that it matters, food is food, and if you’re lucky you’ll have enough mora for some.
you sit against a wall, checking your pockets. most of your stuff was either stolen or lost to sea, but your mora was still securely tied to your waist. after checking twice that you were out of people’s line of sight, you started to count, stacking the coins in piles of 10 on the grass in front of you. after a hundred, you moved them into one bigger pile.
you had more than you expected. though your pouch always seemed to weigh about the same, you didn’t think you could fit almost three thousand mora inside- or that you even had that. then again, chests typically had a few hundred, and you’d been pretty lucky in mondstat…
you set aside five hundred and hope it’s enough, but knowing teyvat’s economy… if salt was 60 mora, who knew how much you’d need?
whatever the case, you needed to eat. cradling the coins against you as you attach your pouch back at your waist, the go to move for the food stall.
your plans are dashed the second you stand.
a familiar face walked up the path towards the food stall, but quickly diverted towards you.
shit.
you step away, behind a tree, hoping against hope that he’d only seen somebody next to you instead of-
“hello there!”
you jump at how quickly thomas voice appeared at your side, taking another step back.
shit. that’s definitely him. weird horn headpiece, blonde hair, too-short jacket, dog tags and all.
you lick at your lips. they taste of salt. “hi?”
you hate how shattered your voice is. how quiet and rough it’s gotten.
“hey! i’m thoma.” he extends a hand, the small ribbon on the back of his glove rippling in the soft breeze. “it’s nice to meet you!”
you hesitate. it feels like you do a lot of that lately.
you remember him being affiliated with the kamisatos, which means he’s almost certainly heard of everything you’ve been accused of. but… there’s no way he would come up to you so casually if that was the case, right?
you want to trust him. you do. but there hasn’t been anybody else yet that you could.
carefully, you meet his hand with your own weak grip. the cloth on his gloves is leather, unsurprisingly, and though it is cold with the dusk chill, his fingers are warm. you have a feeling it’s from his vision, and your mind flickers to the last time you slept by a fire.
it’s been months.
“oh, you’re freezing! what are you doing outside?” his voice jumps a few octaves and his hand tightens around yours. “oh jeez, you’re going to catch a cold if you’re not careful. what are you doing without a coat in the middle of winter?“
is it winter? you don’t really remember the last time you knew the date for certain, but if that was true, then it was bad news. the clothes you wore you got from hilichurls and abyss mages, but the main enemies in inazuma were nobushi…
your worry must show on your face, because thoma’s frown deepens.
“now that i look at you… you’re not from inazuma, are you?”
you shake your head no.
“oh no… did you get caught up in the outlander affairs agency? they haven’t gotten any better after the decree, have they….”
“no, i-“ you cut yourself off with a coughing fit, tasting a bitter mixture of salt, blood, and bile climb up your throat. it’s disgusting, and alarmingly salty. you must have drank more ocean water than you meant to; it’s a wonder you didn’t choke on the trip over.
(how did you make it over? the distance from liyue to inazuma was too large for you to have simply floated, surely? but didn’t thoma himself float over?)
thoma’s other hand lands between your shoulder blades, patting lightly. “hey, it’s okay. it’s good you haven’t ran into the agency, but that cough doesn’t sound good at all…”
you adjust the tattered mask on your face, straightening and doing your best to look like you haven’t been on the run. “i’ll be fine.”
your chest tightens with the need to cough, but you set your jaw. you can’t afford to get involved with the yashiro commission. you’re certain the mora clutched in your grip is enough to buy you a decent meal and—alongside the rest of it—some kind of warm herbal tea.
gentle green eyes catch the money in your palm and widen. you can see the gears clicking inside his head, and he speaks before you can.
“is that all the mora you have?”
“i-“
“and you don’t even have a- ah, i can’t leave you out here like this. could you come with me to the teahouse? there’s a waypoint just inside ritou, and i’d feel a lot better if i could get you some tea and clean clothes. it won’t be the fanciest, but i know there’s some spare sets and anything would be better than risking an illness. inazuman winters aren’t kind, and the shogun hasn’t been in the best mood as of late.”
the pros and cons weigh in your head. you could go with somebody you know is kind, and get what is certainly good food and hot drinks with clean clothes to boot. or, you could risk walking into a trap with, arguably, one of the most influential people in the yashiro commission at least, if not all of inazuma. it’ll either be the best choice you’ll ever make, or one that’ll land you in front of tenshukaku in chains.
thoma picks up on your hesitation, taking his hand off your shoulder and giving you space, though he keeps your hands linked. “can i at least bring you some dinner, then, if you don’t want to come with me? or a blanket? or- or something?“
he’s awfully worried for somebody he just met. you’re not sure if his determination is evidence of his benevolent nature, or if he’s trying to make you trust him as he calls over some shogunate soldiers.
…you also can’t decide if it’s your desperation for connection with somebody you can rely on or your need for a better environment that makes you agree.
maybe his bright smile has something to do with it. or the comforting warmth in his hands as he leads you away? maybe it’s the way he holds you tightly against him after you ask to go to the teahouse and are nearly sick coming out of the teleporter.
or maybe, by chance, it’s the light in his eyes when you say ‘thank you’.

Louis XV's royal clutter

Castles opened to the public tend to put a great emphasis on furnitures, paintings and panellings. This focus often occurs at the expense of smaller every day items, such as tools, services, boxes and so on.
Even as far back as the 18th century, inventories of the garde meuble- the administration in charge of the French royal furnitures and collections- often omitted those smaller items, in favour of a greater focus on the furnitures themselves.
Several exception that that rule do exist for instance : When King Louis XV died the 10th of May 1774 in Versailles, his Versailles private cabinets were opened and searched, all the cash and the precious items contained in his cupboards were listed and described in an inventory made 27 days after his death.
Said inventory isn't located in the documents of the House of King(O1 series of the french national archives) like it is usually the case, but in the King's papers, namely in the K series of the national archives, more specifically the K 153.
The document in question was never published nor translated to this date.
I decided to publish it for the first time and translate it entirely to give an idea of the of the kind of clutter that was present in the king's private cabinets in Versailles at the time of his death :

Writing about Mines in your Fictional Universe: A Geology Introduction
Hello! I'm Bird, and I am here to guide you on a journey about different mines that exist, what materials are being mined, what those materials might be mined for, and what rocks/what processes might make these areas mineable. I will also touch briefly on the idea of gem quality, the commonness of the material, and what these things might look like fresh out of the dirt!
First things first, lets talk about the what types of things we might want to mine for in a fictional universe! There are a lot of things that are used daily that require mining, but there are a few that I see written about the most: Gold, Gemstones, Iron, and Coal. I personally would love to see this idea expanded on a bit, so lets talk about some mines that would definitely be necessary but overlooked! First one is pretty easy, glass! those beautiful stained glass windows are useless if no one is mining quartz to be made to glass, and I imagine it would be quite a profitable business seeing as glass, in general, was a luxury in ye olden times. The next thing we need to address is Abrasives! want to sand and polish stone and metal? Want to sharpen your blades for battle? May I introduce you to abrasive minerals! garnet, corundum (Ruby and Sapphire), and yes, diamond! Why are we using such beautiful gemstones to polish other things? Simple, even if you are to find a deposit of these gemstones (garnet being one of the more common ones) most of the time they are inclusion rich, ridiculously small, an undesirable color, or all three of these.

Finding gemstones that are good quality is hard, your character will not stumble upon it, pick up the rock and immediately know if the location is good enough to mine gemstones. If you are determined to make it a gemstone mine, have your character hold the mineral up to the sun/a light source and let them be able to see light coming through, though it is considerably thick.

Moving into metal mining! Metal mining is both easier and more complicated to write! Why is it complicated? Because unless it is gold or silver you are unlikely to see the desired metal itself. Why is it easy? welllll, I am going to try to make it easy. First things first, a lot of metals are chromaphores, this means that when the element is present, it will influence the color! Copper is an excellent example of this, old pennies oxidize and turn blue/teal/green, so do most rocks bearing copper! Looking for iron? It will probably stain the rocks dingy and brownish red. Things to note: copper and iron can be found in mineable amounts together! If you do this, iron will be present in the form of pyrite, or fool's gold, this has a nice cubic shape and can be described as such, the copper will typically leave a teal residue or veining across the rock, which in this case will almost exclusively be black to dark gray (Its basalt) but it can be found as the mineral chalcopyrite also (looks like fool's gold but it doesn't make cute crystals). Malachite is also a copper ore, in my experience I have never seen malachite from a mine that has looked like some of the stuff I have seen in gem shops, azurite (A darker blue mineral) can be present also, but again, these are usually very fine grained and would not be able to be used as jewelry, but obviously, in some places it must happen, just much less frequently.

Another thing I will briefly mention is that, if you are writing about metals remember that these metals will require a smelting process to extract a pure metal, this usually requires some other material (For iron, it is charcoal). Also remember alloys! Most useable metals are a mix of different metals to make them harder. This even includes gold jewelry. Last comment about metals, a very interesting plot for a fictional universe would be the use of lead. Lead ore was a hot commodity before we knew it was toxic, the side effects (Being nuts) could really create some tension.
Lastly in terms of mined material, I will briefly mention coal and stone in general just to say, coal is a sedimentary rock, distinctly different from the typical environments necessary to form most gemstones and heavy metal deposits (Yes, there are exceptions). Coal is dark black/gray, which is quite uncommon for sedimentary rocks which tend to range from reds/tans/browns/grays. When coal is lifted it will feel much lighter than you anticipate, which is the polar opposite of what happens when you lift a metal rich rock, which will feel immensely heavy. Finally, Coal will not turn into diamonds in nature, diamonds need mantle pressures and temperatures to form, there will be no diamonds under a coal mine unless there was a mantle derived eruption that got covered in a swamp, that became coal and as they dug they exposed the kimberlite pipe (I mention this because I just read this in a story and it hurt my feelings). Finally, If you want to write about a mine that is definitely necessary but want the content to be pretty low-maintenance, but profitable for whoever owns it, owning a granite/marble/ or really any desirable stone quarry would be perfect.

Now I will move onto what kind of mining exists today, I will not talk about every exclusive mine, but I will talk about ones that are common that are on my radar. First up, the one everyone talks about in books, underground mining. Underground mining is used when you are getting the material from the 'primary'/original source. The rock is rich in copper? Lets mine said rock. However, mining underground is the most dangerous form of mining, there can easily be a lack of oxygen because of insufficient ventilation (That's why people will carry something with an open flame when going into abandoned mines; if the flame goes out there is not enough oxygen and you have to turn back). There can also be lots of collapses due to overhead rocks, enough said. Cave mining is primarily done when the amount of rock above the deposit is too great to strip mine.

Now lets talk about strip mining! Strip mining is when you just mine on the surface, and dig deeper and deeper into the ground to obtain your desired resource whether it be stone, coal, gemstones, or anything else. It truly is less glamorous, but it is safer than digging a tunnel. That said it has its own issues, sure the oxygen is good, and you don't have to worry about the rocks collapsing over your head, but oh wait, the rocks can collapse over your head. Landslides can occur due to the over steepening of sides, excessive rainfall, and most importantly, old faults or planes of weakness that happen to be facing towards the mine (the diagram will help this make sense). Both of these types of mines can also create ecological damage, which can be mitigated nowadays, but then maybe not so much. Namely acid mine drainage, I will not talk much on the effects but a quick google search will give you plenty of information that might be useful for writing.

Now both of these are trying to mine a targeted rock, but sometimes its best to let nature do the work so we can do less. Diamonds, gold, corundum (rubies/sapphires), and garnets all have one thing in common. They are dense! So when erosion happens, and that sediment makes its way into a river, everything will separate based on its density. This is just because faster moving water can hold heavier sediments, and slower moving water will drop those heavy sediments leaving only the lighter sediments within the water. Lots of places that mine the things listed above will pan/sieve in active rivers and streams, or they can surface mine where rivers and streams used to be! These are called placer deposits. There is one setback though, the gemstones will not be perfect crystal shaped, they will be rounded due to being thrown around in a river (like beach glass). These are sapphires, but they have been rounded over time in the river.

Final thoughts, writing about a mine can seem nerve-racking, intimidating, or just something that you want to briefly mention and move on from, but truly I think going into the weeds could really add something to a story! Even if stories are slightly inaccurate about information, I am still 100x more excited to see it mentioned in more detail than to see it as a sentence. Besides it is fantasy, it doesn't always have to be exactly like earth.

And here's the consolidated list (mostly?) All from Diamond in the Rough, character notes below cut (not in same order as pics)
Considered a few different systems for assigning gems (gemstone family, value, etc.) but ultimately just went with color/relative familiarity of gem. There’s so many cool gems out there~ (I was trying to not be too repetitive with types/use more common ones though Quartz has a million interesting varieties!)
Mega Man, Blue Sapphire Sphere I wavered a lot on his ‘trinket’, Sapphire seemed obvious (especially with Proto being a ruby, both are corundum gemstones) but also considered blue diamond, alexandrite (blue/purple color shift), and aquamarine. For the jewelry, was also considering an atomic model (for chemistry?), a screwdriver, and slightly regretting not considering circlet
Roll, Amethyst Earring: primarily always wanted amethyst, but also considered heliodor, padparadscha sapphire (but it wasn’t quite the right color? and perhaps too obscure), tanzanite, morganite, zoisite, kunsite, iolite, (purple gems etc.) For shape, was considering spikes/fangs though that’s also Treble and Punk’s lol
Bass, Emerald Snake Arm Cuff: loosely based on a real arm cuff I saw in a book. Also considered black diamond, green diamond (he’s the titular ‘diamond in the rough’), and black opal
Proto Man, Ruby Aviator Badge: I went with ruby in the end, which seemed most obvious choice, but also considered red diamond and bixbite (red beryl)
Elec Man, Black Opal Ring: Also considered chatoyant Sapphire, Alexandrite (??? color shift?), chrysoberyl, angelite/anhydrite, and even hawkeye quartz (loosely inspired by a real hawkeye ‘lightning’ ring, before that I was thinking cufflinks, but seemed weird for him to become either a pair of gems, or even a single cufflink lol)
Jewel Man, Colorless Beryl (Goshenite) Monocle - also considered rock crystal, diamond, and Padparadscha sapphire. Apparently both beryl and rock crystal were historically used for eyeglasses. Monocle is a reference to gentleman thief archtypes, also they are just fancy. (Also I realized while drawing this that having a plique a jour monocle chain is probably super impractical, oh well lol)
Top Man, Imperial Topaz  Pendant in a Jeweled Egg - also considered alexandrite and spinel (for the pun, heh) and spessertite

What even is this Rock... Any geologists here or are you all too busy looking at Rocks OUTSIDE?
It's some sort of... Something... With some sorta crystal... That is blue??
I don't think it's quartz crystals, and it doesn't fluoresce red so it's not sapphire or ruby. Is it amethyst? There is a site of extremely dark amethyst in the state. It's so dark blue and reflective, but not shiny and glittery like the rough sapphires.
Gonna post another Rock tomorrow that is green and has purple in it. Stay tuned.

You're probably getting bombarded with asks right now so sorry to add to the clutter - but I am a huge rock nerd - that goes beyond like Steven Universe and Houseki no Kuni. So I just want to share some stones and stuff that have cool properties and maybe could provide some inspiration (mainly tho so I can list off rock facts)
Mercury: Mohs 3.5, Toughness: Brittle - Malleable. Technically Mercury is always found in it's liquid form unless amalgamated with other elements, etc. But Mercury actually can be solidified, creating a "rock" with a 3.5 Mohs scale. What's interesting about this is that this solid Mercury produces an awful echo-screeching sound when bent. Idk how this would apply for a SU One Piece Character, but having the abilities to liquify, solidify, as well as being a very heavy metal which corrodes or amalgamates with many other rocks, a character like this would be a difficult opponent, or a powerful ally.
Calsilica: This ones funny because it's not a natural gem, and has an extensive history of people trying to claim that it is. Rather, Calsilica can be made from the run off byproducts in plastic, epoxy, wax, etc, condensed so hard it becomes a rock. I've had character ideas of this kind being a gem who either feels like they're lesser for being man-made, or even having imposter syndrome.
Painite: Mohs 7.5-8, tough. An incredibly rare, red-orange gem, which though is a lesser "hardness" then diamond, could easily break or shatter one.
That's another interesting thing about diamonds that was less included in the show, but they are very brittle - while sapphires, rubies, jade may be of a lesser Mohs scale, they could easily crush a diamond. Especially Jade. Jade may be one of the toughest, naturally occurring gemstones out there (hence why there are so many carvings made out of it) and can even be stronger than steal, also with no known cleavage point (point where the gemstone easily fractures most) it's a kind durable to both blunt and pin-point force.
Rutile: Rutile itself can be pretty thin and weak, but they usually occur inside of other gemstones, as needle-like fractals and growths. Their possibilities are endless and they're gorgeous. Hundreds of gem kinds can be "rutilated".
Carbyne: The. Strongest. Material. Known to man. Taking Graphenes place. I have OC's made of this, but the possibilities for character development are endless. Because, technically, only a 100 atoms of carbyne exist. They have to be contained by a graphene tube in order to stay in existence. These could be extremely powerful characters, but say their outer coating of graphene is gone? They'll vaporize. Carbyne, Graphene, and Buckminsterfullerene are all in the carbon family along with diamonds, and so modern experimentation has led to their creations, and thus, gemstones both harder and tougher than any diamond.
Though, having said all that stuff about diamonds, there is one kind that is incredibly difficult to shatter and that is Bort or Bortz. It's technically a term for any diamond that isn't jewel-grade, or natural diamond, used for cutting tools and abrasives, but as a gemstone, it would be the top tier of diamonds. Their crystal structure is smaller than a normal diamond and so blows or damage are spread out evenly through the material, rather than a regular diamond which will often take force over one point of cleavage and completely shatter.
Ok I will be quiet now I've literally been typing this for more than an hour - I just love gem Au's and your designs especially. Idk if you've heard of Houseki no Kuni but it's basically a manga/show where the characters are completely made out of the gemstones, unlike being manifestations of light in Steven Universe. I'm working on a fic/head canon au of HNK One Piece characters (once again because I'm a rock nerd)

Blood of the Dragon
Pairing: kiribaku(established), kiribaku x reader

The rider carried swiftly through the dark and dense forest, the heavy panting of his thoroughbred lost on his ears, only one thing on his mind. Flee. Deliver the message and flee. The dread that had plauged him since the shadows first came to Redstone, were closing in. He could feel the nimble, icy tips of their fingers as it bled closer and closer, ready to consume him, silence him forever. 
But he had a mission. And God's be damned, he would complete it. One last time. 
The brilliant lights of the watchtower guarding the human city of Redstone came into view. He sighed with relief, relaxing his hold a little as he began to feel safer. 
A flash of gold light envelops him just as he reaches the forest edge. The next thing he knows, he's on his back, staring up into the night sky, the pounding of hooves, letting him know the horse has fled, towards the village or into the forest he does not know. 
He never finishes his thought before the darkness finally takes him. 
Chapter One
"I need to see Bakugou. Now! Let me through." Eijiro Kirishima, a strong warrior, hard as a rock and fierce as any dragon, glared down at the servant who refused to let him enter Bakugou's bedchamber. The sounds of skin slapping skin, hoarse groans and meek little moans greeting his ears. 
"His majesty is busy right now as  sure you can hear Master Kirishima." The servant responded quietly, her eyes looking anywhere but at the hulking figure before her. 
Although chivalry is something he prides himself on, Kirishima moved the woman with one arm, slamming open the door to the Dragon King's bedroom. 
As Dragonblood, they abide by the A/B/O dynamics, Kirishima can see immediately that Bakugou is in the throws of his rut. The omega beneath him winning and gripping the sheets tightly as he pounds into her. And she should be so lucky to serve her King during his ruts. 
"Katsuki?" Kirishima says loudly and firmly, causing the other man to only look up at him, teeth gritted, eyes narrowed and sweat dripping from his body as he continues to mercilessly fuck the poor omega beneath him. 
"What." He snaps, mumbling a fuck as he pushes the omega's head down into the furs that cover his bed, her whines muffled by the heavy blankets. He smirks. "Wanna join Kiri?" Kirishima links his lips. It's a tantalizing offer for sure. He worshiped his king. He loved him. Despite his crass and brazen ways. 
"We received a raven this morning." The red head bites his lip, drawing blood when Bakugou gives a particularly hard thrust. 
"Shut up omega. You can take it. All you're good for." He snarls down at the body beneath him. "What news?" He's so nonchalant about it. As if they were discussing the hunt yesterday, before his rut overcame him. 
"Redstone was laid to seige. No one knows who did it, but the Lord Todoroki suspects the dragons." Bakugou stilled his movements. He paused for a moment before shoving the omega away from him. She yelped, falling forward onto her stomach. 
"My king, are you-" 
"Get out. I'm done with you." He barked, throwing a fur lined dark Grey robe over his shoulders. The omega scrambled and Kirishima couldn't help the sick feeling of possessiveness that filled him, satisfied to see she was leaving. 
Bakugou walked over to a table in the left corner of the room. Picking up a crystal goblet, with rubies and precious stones laid into it, he gulped the contents down, never taking his eyes off of Kirishima. 
Bakugou Katsuki, the only son of Lord and Lady Bakugou and heir to all that is Dragor. Born of fire and the blood of the Dragon, it's rumored that Mitsuki paid a witch to help her conceive him. Loud, fierce, violent and strategic, Bakugou's name put fear into the hearts of many in the realm. 
But to Kirishima, he was just Katsuki, his best friend since they shared a wet nurse, his lover later and his confidant. 
"I fuckin hate when they bring in an omega for me. Why the fuck couldn't you be one?" Katsuki growled, wiping his mouth. Kirishima smiled softly, the corners of his mouth lifting only slightly. 
"It's okay Katsuki. I really don't mind."  And he did his best to keep his expression neutral. The truth was that Kirishima minded a lot. Katsuki was his and he was Katsuki's. The problem was that as Alphas, ruts can make them both so aggressive. Anytime they did indulge together during their ruts it seemed like they lost themselves, had a hard time holding back. The sex was always rough and hard and caused too much damage. And Bakugou needed heirs. Kirishima couldn't give him that. 
Katsuki sizes up his lover, not sure if he's buying the story but decides to change the subject for Kirishima's sake. 
"Tell me more about this seige while I dress. Then we'll call mother and father to see what can be done." Kirishima nodded, stepping around the bed as Bakugou disrobed to change. 
"Black dragons, dark as night invaded a little after the evening hour two nights ago…..they say their fire was blue and they nearly destroyed three villages, many were killed. But because they're dragons-"
"I've never seen a black dragon. Our dragons aren't black." Bakugou murmured, mulling over Kirishima's words. 
"But the humans think it was us and with your reputation-"
"My reputation is what keeps us safe." Bakugou snaps. 
"All I'm saying is, it's unsettling and the Todoroki's are pissed. Enji wants blood." Bakugou pulled his tunic over his head and held up his hand to stop kirishima. He'd heard enough. 
"Fuck Enji. I'll take him on any day of the week. The important thing is that there are Black dragons out there. We need to find them, and find out who's sending them." Kirishima nodded, following behind as Katsuki slammed his door open and walked out into the corridor.

The isle of Elvair
"Concentrate Y/N. Put all your energy into it. Focus on the water, make it ripple." Y/N closed her eyes, putting he'd hands out, palms up as she focused on what the Elder Priestess was saying.
Y/N shifted, huffing out a light breath as she raised her hand, palm up and open above the waters just beneath her. 
"Allow the Mother's spirit to fill you, feel the warmth of her embrace." Y/N pursed her lips, eyebrows knitting, a slight headache beginning to pulse behind her eyes as she rendered her focus and harnessed it. "Now child."
The pressure exploded and as she opened her eyes she saw the waters beneath her rippling, a surprised gasp leaving her lips as little bubbles began to float upwards and surround her fingers, dancing around her hand. 
"My Lady do you see?!" Y/N shouted with glee. The Priestess stood back, arms crossed and nodding with approval. 
"As expected my child. You exceed my expectations once more." Priestess Morena smiled at her softly. A sudden sound of chiming bells had them snapping their heads back towards the Abby, where the evening candles had been lit. "I had not realized the hour child. We should return for supper." Y/N nodded, following the Priestess from the streams edge. 
Morriganna Abbey, in the Isle of Elvair, was something legend. The Isle itself, being completely unknowable to anyone who didn't already know the way. The Abbey to the outside world, was myth, a place where the great mother godess went to rest and be waited on by her Priestess and the monks who lived there. 
To those who lived in the Isle though, it was a sacred paradise. The last one on Earth. The last truly sacred place of rest, untouched by the horrors outside. It was God country, and only the chosen resided there. 
Y/N made her way into the banquet hall. It was modest, made of hard brick and mortar, the ceiling painted with images of the Mother, The Maiden and The Crone. The Green man dancing around a fire. It was beautiful and she often found herself staring up during dinner, imagining the stories they told. 
But tonight the air was tense and thick. The hall silent as everyone ate quietly, whispers here and there shot down with steely glares as Y/N took a seat between her two dearest friends Mina and Tsuyu, both of whom had left the same village as her when they were children to become Priestesses.
"What happened?" Y/N whispered. Mina leaned back slightly and leaned just a little closer to Y/N's ear to whisper to her. 
"There's been an attack on Redstone. No one knows why, just that there were black dragons." Y/N's eyes widened in fear and acknowledgement. 
"So it's true…..the prophe-"
"Maiden Y/N." Y/N's mouth closed instantly, turning she was greeted by High Priestess Midnight, the name she gave herself when she became a High Priestess. She ran the Abbey and held it under her control. She was just, listening to the God's and always loving and compassionate towards everyone there, striving to keep everyone together. 
"High Priestess." Y/N bowed her head and stood. 
"A word please?" The High Priestess motioned for the girl to follow her and she felt all eyes on her as she made her way out of the hall. 
"I had the liberty taken of bringing supper to you in my private quarters tonight." Y/N said nothing, looking instead out the windows lining the dark corridor. The moon was dark tonight, no stars in the sky, it only made the lump in her throat grow with anticipation. 
They came to a door at the end of the hallway on the lefthand side. The wood was old and splintered and the hinges made an awful creak sound as the door opened. 
Midnight's quarters were modest. A bed, a dresser, a chair by the fireplace and a desk for her ravens. A tall standing looking glass stood in the corner. 
On the desk sat a bowl of vegetable and beef stew, a roll and a cup. Midnight motioned for Y/N to eat while she stoked the fire. As Y/N ate, Midnight sat on the edge of her bed, hands in her lap. 
"I know you must have heard by now of the sighting of black dragons." Y/N stopped chewing her bread, setting it down she took a sip from her cup before answering. 
"I have Priestess…." Midnight nodded. 
"Others seem to know nothing of them. The Lord of Redstone blames the dragons of Dragor but we know better." She smiled softly then, looking at Y/N with sad eyes. "I'm sorry it's come to this. We had hoped the prophecy would not come to be as-"
"I've made it to 21 and passed it. But it's only a year. I'm 22 now. Not much of a difference." Midnight chuckled bitterly at that, shaking her head. 
"Ah the God's can be cruel. But be sure there's a lesson in this. Never forget," she holds up her hands, crossing them to make an 'x'. "The prophecy is a crossroads. There is a choice to be made, and as unfortunate as it is for you, it is also your final test. You'll have to choose. I only hope when the time comes you choose right but for now, this is only the beginning." 
"When do I leave?' Y/N's breath was shaking than she wanted it to be. She could tell Midnight could see her distress. She had secretly hoped as well, that the prophecy was wrong. But of course, the fates loved fucking with her. 
"Tomorrow morning. Without goodbyes. It's far to dangerous, what lies ahead. Best to keep it to yourself." Y/N felt her heart cracked. Would Mina understand? No, she would be furious, angry that she had not told her, but only angry because she was so worried. And Tsuyu. Tsuyu would be so hurt. Y/N knew she'd cry. She didn't want to hurt them. 
But the dye had been cast. It was time to move along. 
"Yes maam." 
Later that evening, after the Abbey lights have been dimmed and everyone is tucked away quietly and safely for slumber, a shadow moves swiftly down the corridor, dress billowing around her, cape pulling in a breeze as she made her wait to the Priestess quarters. 
Y/N quietly opened the door to the room she had shared with Mina and Tsuyu, both of whom were fast asleep, her own bed pulled open slightly, waiting to welcome her into it. She smiled sadly, placing the letter she had written beside Mina's head. She leaned down and kissed the temple of each of her friends before bidding a farewell and quietly exiting. She didn't see Mina peek her eyes open and reach for the letter. 
"I will see you soon friend." She whispered, clutching the letter to her chest. She would read it with Tsuyu in the morning.

Mitsuki and Masura Bakugou were fair and kind to the people they Lord over in Dragor, the Lord of the house known for his compassion and kindness. His lady wife more famously knew for her brash and loud behavior. She loved to brag about how her son had picked up the attitude as it would 'get him farther in life'
"Katsuki? Are you well now?" Masura smiled as his son barged into the court and marched up the steps to the large oak table his mother and father sat at. "Eijirou" the man acknowledged his son's friend. 
"My Lord." Eijirou smiled back before bowing towards Mitsuki. 
"Eijirou." She smirked, giving him a nod as well. 
"Black dragons attacked Redstone." Katauki barked. Mitsuki sighed, taking a sip of wine. 
"Always right to the point. Never any time for a 'hello mother are you well?'" Katsuki's ears turned red at his mother's teasing. 
"Knock it off. This is serious. They think we sent them!" 
"We are already in negotiations with Redstone Katsuki. The raven was sent this morning." 
"Someone needs to track down these black dragons. If it's true we need to know where they are and how they came to be." Eijirou watched the parents demeanor change from playful to serious quickly. 
"We understand as much Katsuki." Mitsuki explained. "Black dragons have been gone for centuries. None of us have seen them. Not even our grandparents….but we are not sending you."
"What!" Katsukk roared, making Eijirou flinch. 
"You have duties here. You are twenty three years old Katsuki." Mitsuki glanced at Kirishima before continuing carefully. "We accept and acknowledge your relationship with Eijirou. He's a fine son in law to be for sure. A man who definitely will be Sainted for putting up with you all this time." Kirishima chuckled unable to stop himself. "But you must choose an omega to sire your heirs. You do not have to wed her but you must choose." Katsuki's heart dropped to his stomach as he looked quickly to his lover. Eijirou smiled, though it didn't meet his eyes. Katsuki knew how this subject affected him. 
It wasn't that Kirishima minded. Any kid of Bakugou's would be his too, Katsuki had assured him relentlessly of that. But the omegas were jealous and conniving. Trying to whisper doubts into Katsuki's ear and ruin what they had. After the last attempt Katsuki had been so enraged he demanded omegas only be sent during ruts. And he never would knot them. He refused to give some 'ungrateful little snake' his kids.
"I've told you. If Kiri doesn't agree or like them then it's a no go. We're a package deal. I won't lose him. Not for heirs. Not for anyone." 
Mitsuki clicked her tongue and sighed heavily through her nostrils. 
"You will find an omega and have heirs or you will forfeit your right to this land. We'll give it to the Kaminari boy." Mitsuki knew that would trigger Katsuki, who growled and sed his fists on the table. 
"Fine. Whatever hag. But I want to know everything that goes on about this." Mitsuki nodded. 
"Understood." Katsuki stood and turned, huffing as he began walking away. Kirishima stood there for a moment, his chest was cracking, he was bleeding, he had to be. He felt like the wind was knocked from his body. 
He didn't want to come between Katsuki and his parents. He knew even with their smiles and kindness that they less than approved of them. They relented because Katsuki's tantrum would have destroyed everything had they tried to deny him. But they wanted him to have children. He needed too. And even if they liked Kiri, that was something he could never give Katsuki. 
He packed his things quietly in the night as Katsuki slumbers, shadows dancing across his face from the fireplace, the light making his skin gleam gold. 
He stared down at his lover, memorizing his face as best he could before going to him. He leaned down, brushing Katsuki's hair from his face and kissing his forehead. 
Katsuki shivered as a gust of wind from the window burst into the room and then fell back into a peaceful sleep.

Y/N always loved the raft ride back to the mainland. It was calming and quiet as she watched the mist waft around her, the smell of evergreen and oak filling her senses. She felt the energy, the spirit of the place everywhere. 
"Here you are little Priestess….sure you know where you're going?" The monk who had pushed the raft came to stand beside her. She smiled kindly in his later light and handed him four pieces of silver. 
"I can find my way from here. Thank you Sir. And please, keep this to yourself." He nodded, pocketing the money. 
"Safe travels miss." 
Y/N watched the raft disappear before turning to look at the dense forest before her. She closed her eyes, tuning herself into the sounds around her, she had long since learned that nature speaks and those who listen can hear her sweet voice. 
"I'm coming in." She spoke loudly, and with authority, the Priestess in her rising forth as she took step after step into the forest, the trees seemed to almost clear a path for her, allowing her to move freely through their branches. 
She made it a few hundred yards before she heard the sound of hooves approaching her, she didn't stop, not even when the horses thundered past her, three of them, all stopping at the sight of a woman, dressed in Priestess garb, alone in the woods at night. 
"Hey beautiful! Where ya goin? It's easy to get lost in here!"

Kirishima always felt better flying. He'd hopped out the window of the bedroom he shared with Bakugou and morphed into dragon form, choosing to fly higher than the clouds to remain undetectable to poachers below. 
He didn't want to leave Katsuki. But he couldn't bear the thought of having to wait around and watch an omegas stomach grow round with his kids. 
And what of their relationship. A child would strengthen the bond between Katsuki and the omega. No matter what Katsuki said….the child wouldn't be-
"You bastard!" Something slammed into Kirishima's side hard, causing him to break from his thoughts and whip around, nostrils flaring with smoke. 
How stunned he was to see the golden dragon form of Katsuki flying beside him and snarling viciously. 
"How could you leave me like that you bitch!" He growled, shoving into Kirishima again. 
"Katsuki calm down," Kirishima communicated telepathically. "I'm searching for the black dragons." They both know it's a lie, but Katsuki indulges him, not wanting to embarrass him. He doesn't know what he'll do if Kirishima runs again. 
"I told you before and I meant it! I won't lose you! You're not alone. You're never alone." They locked eyes, everything else fading away for a moment.
"Come back pretty Priestess! Such a lovely maiden!" Their ears perked. In dragon form their senses were heightened, they could hear in the forest below them. 
"Eek. I smell humans." Bakugou groaned. Kirishima nodded, focusing in on the heart rate of one of them. It was beating wildly. 
"Stay away!" They heard a woman scream. Kirishima did a nose dive, the sound of a woman in distress bringing out the chivalry in him. 
"Kirishima!" Katsuki shouted. "We shouldn't get involved!" Kirishima ignored his lover, diving down into the woods.

Y/N was holding her own, fighting off the wayward soldiers as best she could with a large branch. Her dress had been ripped, blood covered her knuckles where she had punched one in the face. 
"Evil wenches don't get treated nicely." One growled menacingly as he stepped closer. 
Before Y/N could swing she felt the earth tremble beneath her. She fell back, mouth open in surprise. A dragon, larger than life, slammed down in front of her, blocking the soldier's view of her. 
"No….it can't be……you're outside your territory." One of the soldiers whispered astonished. 
The Dragon was red, scales gleaming like rubies as it beared its fangs and growled. One of the soldiers moved, ready to attack, when another loud thud had them screaming and running into the woods. A second dragon, smaller but just as fierce, landed on their other side. This dragon was gold, with red patterns etched into its scales. They were beautiful and the young Maiden was terrified.
The red dragon turned to face her. She cowered, holding her hands in front of her face to try to shield herself. Afraid his fiery anger would be turned on her. 
"I'm sorry if we frightened you. We heard you from the sky and thought you might need some help." Y/N had no reaction all worn out from surprise as the smooth and kind voice filled her ears. She slowly lowered her hands. 
The red dragon was gone. Where he had stood was a man, with fiery red hair tied in a loose braid that was thrown haphazardly over his shoulders. His eyes were a soft red like molten lava almost, he looked on her with concern. He was huge, nearly seven foot, broad shouldered and all muscle. His chest bare, revealing a splatter of dark black curls on his chest, leading a happy little trail down where she did not dare look. He was fully nude standing before her as if it was the most ordinary thing in the world. And with the smile he wore, it really could have been to him. She blushed, turning her face to the side. 
"If you please sir…..Your….modesty…" She stuttered. 
"OH! God's im.sorry! Shit! Hold on let me put on some pants. Katsuki!" A pair of brown trousers is thrown at his face. Out of the woods appears what she can only assume to have been the second dragon
 The gold one. This man was smaller, about 6'5. His hair was blonde, shaved under and on the sides, the blonde spikes showing how wild and unruly he kept his hair. His eyes ruby red and piercing, as if he was looking right through her into her soul. His chest was bare, sleek and firm, he wasn't as muscular as the red dragon. But he was toned, his body hard from years of dedication to training and he looked mean. 
"Put some pants on. And you, the he'll are you doing out here at this hour." Y/N gripped the branch in her hands. The blonde's eyes flickered between it and her, keeping his distance but still watching her closely. 
"I could ask you the same question Dragon." She hissed, her words like venom as she spoke. 
"She's a Priestess! Can't you tell Katsuki! Look at her dress." Y/N blushed, realizing just how torn and revealing her gown now was, the once pure white fabric now stained and dirty. 
"Sure are a long way from the Isle Priestess."
"I could say the same for you Dragon. Dragor is east of here." The blonde smirked coldly. 
"Maybe we're out hunting. Looking for meek little things like you to gobble up." Y/N flexed her grip on her stick. The red dragon placed a hand on the one he called Katsuki's shoulder. A look of disapproval having the blonde click his tongue and roll his eyes. 
"We really did swoop by only to help. We heard your scream and I kind of nose dived." His cheeks turned a light shade of pink at the confession, causing a tender smile to form on Y/N's lips. It made Kirishima's heart flutter, while Katsuki couldn't stop staring at how perfect her lips were. Though if either of then ever caught him he'd deny it. 
"I'm alright really. Actually, if you don't mind my asking. Have there been sightings or reports of black dragons in this area?" Both dragons snapped their eyes to her, their breaths stilling. Her brow knit in confusion, unsure if she'd said something wrong. 
"You're looking for the dragons too?" Katsuki asked, his eyes narrowing once more. "Who are you?" 
Who was she? All she had ever known was priestesshood, nothing more or less. And the terrible prophecy that had plagued her for years. 
"I am Y/N. Priestess of the Isle of Elvair." She revealed nothing more. The red dragon smiled and bowed at the waist. 
"I'm Eijirou Kirishima. General of the Dragon armies and confidant of Lord Katsuki Bakugou." She looked at the blonde behind him. He was smiling smugly, his chest puffed out and eyes gleaming with pride as he looked at her. 
"And you are Katsuki Bakugou? I assume your parents are Lord and Lady of Dragor?" Bakugou snorted, crossing his arms. 
"No shit." She pursed her lips with distaste. If he was gonna be rude she could give it right back. 
"Well oops sorry," she said sarcastically. "Being practically raised on the Isle, we never took interests in the others in the realm. Our sole purpose was preserving the old way and protecting the sacred space of the Gods." The one named Katsuki faltered a little, not expecting her to not know who he was. But she had a fair point. The isle did not involve itself with the realm. It was separate. 
"Well um hey!" Kirishima said, trying to resolve the tension that was brewing. "If you're looking for the black dragons too maybe we could all go together. You'd be safe for sure and maybe having you with us could help us with the humans and interacting with them." Katsuki slapped Kirishima on the back of the head. The other smiled meekly, rubbing the spot where he was struck. 
Y/N chewed on her bottom lip, weighing the possibilities. If she allowed them to accompany her perhaps the prophecy could be changed. It wasn't solid, but it was worth the risk. 
"Alright…but we walk. We can't have you flying in the skies and being spotted by poachers or Redstone. Katsuki groaned.
"This is stupid."
"If you wanna find the black dragons you'll do it." She snaps back at him. He growls, clenching his fists. 
"Careful shifty Priestess. You're still a human and I could easily eat you." She rolled her eyes. "Fine! But I call the shots and you two follow me!"

The dark figure moved down the hallway swiftly, heels clacking on the floor as she lifted her dress to quicken her pace. The howl of bats and black dragons piercing the silence in the decrepit castle she made her way through. 
"My King!" She burst into the throne room. It was falling apart, the ceiling gaping, the throne covered in bloodstains. Suitable for the man sitting on it. 
"Toga? You have news?" He scratched his neck stiffly, shifting in his seat to peer down at his servant. She clapped, dancing on her heels gleefully. 
"Mhm! The dragons laid pretty heavy damage to Redstone!" Dabi commanded them and just as he said, they sparked a brewing fund between Redstone and Dragor. The man grinned, nodding his head in approval. 
"The time is coming when black dragons and monsters will rule over Eldoria. The four nations will become slaves under my rule and those of us outed by society will have the justice they seek." 
"But what of the prophecy? Should such a Priestess come into play-"
"My dear don't you know how the black dragon prophecy ends?" Toga shook her head innocently. The king smiled wider, his face grotesque as he chuckles. "She will meet her end and we will conquer. For now we hit the Isle of Elvair next. We eliminate all the Priestesses and all the Monks. No one to try and end our reign once the Isle is a pile of ash and smoke."

A Spectacular Fashion Voyage with Taylor Swift's Eras Tour!
As the final notes of the American leg of Taylor Swift's Eras Tour echo in our hearts, let's revel in the extraordinary fashion journey she's gifted us with! From the mesmerizing Lover era to the captivating depths of Reputation, each phase unveiled a distinct style, outfits that spoke volumes, and an aesthetic that transcended time.

She starts the show in her Lover Era with “Miss Americana and the heartbreak prince” followed by the first bridge of the night form “cruel summer”. For this era she has worn three custom bodysuits from Versace, all of them full of rain stones in shades os pink, blue, gold and purple, inspired byDuring this set in “The Man”, over the bodysuit, she wears a sparkly blazer as a dress, also from versace.

Fearless is next, Roberto Cavalli was in charge of creating these dresses that Swift rocked while dancing in a storm. The gold fringe dress was reminiscent of a similar look the designer created for her Speak Now Tour in 2011, the three dresses rememore the ones she wore back them, golden fringe and tassels that belong to her more than ever.

Long story short, while performing various songs from her album Evermore she took the stage in a yellow Etro dress that featured a corset top and beading detail down the front. For her magical performance of “Willow” she added a matching Etro cape. Playing into the woodsy nature of the Evermore album with a darker burgundy color and ruffles throughout Marco de Vincenzo, creative director of Etro, designed another dress for this set.

One of her most dramatic looks was the Roberto Cavalli one-legged jumpsuit. The design features a black sheer sleeve, glittering material and a three-dimensional embroidered snake motif winding from the bottom of her leg to the top of her neck. The ruby red snake contrasts with the black bezels of the design, it was reminiscent of the many bodysuits Swift wore during Reputation Tour as it was covered in black sequins scales.

For the end of a decade and the start of an age, she wore a custom-made Zuhair Murad Couture tulle ballgown – featuring beautiful beading, sequins, pearls and crystal embellishments all over the voluminous skirt and bodice. The impressive dress required 50 metres of tulle, while the elaborate design took more than 350 hours of handwork to create in the brand's atelier. In addition to the shimmering Zuhair Murad gown, after the release of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) she wore a beautiful lilac Nicole + Felicia ballgown, featuring a tiered tulle skirt that captured the light beautifully, thanks to its crystal-embellished finish. Another gown Swift fought dragons is was a Elie Saab one covered in flower apliqué and shimmery beading.

She was never good at telling jokes but the punchline goes, and she know it too well because she wore a sequinned Ashish t-shirt embroidered with quotes such as “Who’s Taylor Swift any wat? Ew”, “A lot going on at the moment” and “we are never getting back together like ever” with a Gladys Tamez Millinery hat that she gave to different fans every night.

So far we had a marvelous time leading to Folklore where the singer performed in a more delicate look in the form of a floaty, layered lilac dress by Alberta Ferretti. "Thinking about these stage dresses for her also pushed me to reflect on my career milestones," explained Ferretti. "I think what we have created reflects this journey where the key elements of my style stand out: lightness, femininity, romance, attention to detail and a delicate, gentle seduction." She wore a green chiffon gown with a deep neckline, flowing sleeves and embroidered leaf detailing, designed by Alberta Ferretti too. Swift added to her repertoire of beautifully designed dresses in a custom-made orange Etro gown, with an embroidered ruffled bodice.

Darling, she’s nightmare dressed like a daydream in three shimmering two-pieces by Roberto Cavalli. Its beautiful design gave the illusion of crystal water droplets, which moved effortlessly as she performed onstage. She wore the outfit with her go-to sequin Christian Louboutin boots. For the surprise song, Taylor topped this cavalli matching sets with Jessica Jones ruffled dresses in matching colours.

From sprinkler splashes to fireplace ashes, the last part of the show started with a midnight blue bodysuit full of sequins and rainstones with a matching garter by Oscar de la Renta. In a lighter shade of blue, Zuhair Murrad designed another beaded bodysuit. In the lasts shows in LA, she also wore a bodysuit similar to the one she wore in the 1989 tour, with cut-outs and fringe bottom. Every time, everybody agrees that Taylor Swift wears the best looks on stage, and for Anti-Hero Taylor wears her second Oscar de la Renta look consisted of a sequinned 'aurora borealis' T-shirt dress with a co-ordinating lavender faux fur coat, which also featured delicate crystal droplets. For Karma she vibes like that with a tassel coat just to say see you later to the swifties.

David Bowie stood before an easel, his piercing gaze focused intently on the half-finished painting in front of him. His fingers, adorned with rings that caught the light in mesmerizing patterns, delicately swirled a brush loaded with vibrant hues of blue and crimson.
You, on the other hand, reclined on a plush chaise longue, draped in a silken robe that clung to your curves like a lover's caress. Your presence exuded an air of confidence, a testament to years spent in front of the lens and the brush alike. Modeling was your craft, your livelihood, and you wore it with the ease of someone who had mastered their art.
David glanced over his shoulder, his mismatched eyes alight with a spark of anticipation as they met yours. "I hope you don't mind me saying, darling, but you have the most exquisite form. It's positively begging to be immortalized on canvas."

You feigned a thoughtful expression, tapping a finger against your chin in mock contemplation. "Well, when you put it like that, how could I possibly refuse? Consider me your muse, Mr. Bowie."
With a flourish, you shed the robe, allowing it to pool at your feet in a cascade of silk. David's eyes widened imperceptibly at the sight before him, his lips parting in silent awe. But there was a reverence in his gaze, a respect for the human form that transcended mere physicality.

But you pressed on, determined to express the depth of your admiration. "And your hair," you continued, reaching out to tuck a stray lock behind his ear. "It's positively iconic. I've always been a sucker for a man with long hair."
A playful smile tugged at the corners of David's lips as he leaned into your touch, a spark of mischief dancing in his eyes. "I must admit, it's taken on a life of its own over the years. But I'm rather fond of it, if I do say so myself."
The air crackled with tension as the words hung between you, a silent invitation lingering in the space between heartbeats. 
David's hand found yours, fingers intertwining in a silent promise, "I feel like a sleazy old man next to you” he starts with a laugh, “but you're very attractive there's no denying that, love".
A soft chuckle escaped your lips at David's self-deprecating remark, a playful glint dancing in your eyes as you leaned closer to him. "Oh, come now, David. You're hardly sleazy. And besides, a little bit of flattery never hurt anyone."
David's cheeks flushed pink at your words, his gaze dropping momentarily before meeting yours once more. "I suppose you're right," he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper. "But it's impossible to deny the truth, isn't it? You're undeniably attractive."
You nodded along with a teasing smile, your fingers trailing lightly along his thigh as you moved closer to him. The heat of his skin seared through the fabric of his trousers, sending a shiver of anticipation racing down your spine.
"Yeah?" you prompted, your voice barely more than a breathless whisper.
David's breath hitched in his throat, his eyes darkening with desire as he met your gaze. "Hm?" he replied, his voice husky with longing. "Oh, really."

David nodded, his thumb tracing gentle circles against the back of your hand. "Absolutely," he murmured, his eyes never leaving yours. "They're like windows to your soul, drawing me in with their depth and intensity."
As the robe fell open, pooling at your feet, David's eyes widened in awe at the sight before him. His breath caught in his throat as you moved closer, your hands deftly undoing his belt with a confidence that sent a shiver of anticipation racing down his spine.
