“Rude Dog and the Dweebs.” Created for Sun Sportswear in the 1980s, Rude Dog was a brand commodification of the ska subculture. The animated series was, notably, created by Marvel Studios at a time they were marginal and looking for any property to develop, which is startling to imagine now. 

A surfboarding hippie with a wisecracking edge, Rude Dog is mainly remembered as the primary inspiration for the Simpsons’ Poochie, a spoof of characters that are soulless byproducts of committee thinking, designed by marketing departments to be cool and extreme (”make him 15% more Rasta”).

One of the criticisms and controversies Bratz dolls caused in their heyday was their name Bratz, and a "brat" was never considered a good thing.

In fact, I can remember reading some comments about Bratz dolls online during their heyday and some of the comments were things like "I remember when it was considered a bad thing to be a brat" and people criticizing Bratz dolls for normalizing bad behavior due to their name (and other things).

I know wrestling group D Generation X caused a lot of controversy in the late 1990's, so much so "Monday Night Raw" almost got taken off the air because of them, but I wonder in the late 90's if there was controversy of D Generation X since their name was a pun on "Degenerate" and there were people (mostly adults) criticizing DX and saying "I remember when it was a bad thing to be considered a degenerate" and thinking D Generation X were normalizing bad behavior?

I know there were lots of kids in the late 90's getting in trouble for doing DX's iconic gesture and saying the catchphrase that goes along with it...

In the late 1980's, was there controversy over those Rude Dog T-shirts for normalizing and glorifying being rude, and people complaining about those Rude Dog shirts saying "I remember when it was a bad thing to be rude!".

3 people have taken pictures of Chili at the dog park. One lady for a social media page regarding the park, one teenage girl who Chili kept stealing her dog’s tennis balls, and one other lady just today. On top of this, there is a minimum of two people asking what breed she is and how old she is every time to which my answer is somewhere over two and *indistinct i don’t know noises*.

It is impossible to not talk to people at the dog park when your dog looks like someone glued four different breeds together and spends the entire visit chasing other dogs 2 to 5 times her size. This is both very nice and sweet, but also frustrating cause outside of work, I’m an incredible awkward person who can’t hold a conversation to save my life and I can see the Sims minus social notification above these stranger’s heads the second I open my dumb mouth.

Unless: You want the action to repeat itself because it's super cute and there is nothing inherently wrong with rewarding contact-seeking behaviour, and shockingly it is actually possible to both teach and learn more nuanced ways to communicate with your dog than simply "no" and "when i say so"
