We must eradicate root and branch any fear and dread in our soul concerning the future that is coming towards us. We must develop composure with regard to all the feelings and sensations we have about the future; we must anticipate with absolute equanimity whatever may be coming towards us, thinking only that whatever it may be will be brought to us by the wisdom-filled guidance of the universe.

If we do not believe within ourselves this deeply rooted feeling that there is something higher than ourselves, we shall never find the strength to evolve into something higher.

If we observe how in embryonic development an organism is gradually created out of the liquid, our attention is drawn to movements which play their part in fashioning it according to invisible plans, though they are themselves not all visible in the finished form. They are like the hands of the potter in their abundance of possibilities, moulding a vessel from without and within and then withdrawing again into the invisible world. They are movements which originate in the will and spirit of a living being. As movements they are actually the creative and formative forces through which the idea underlying the forms can be impressed on the elements. Once this has been accomplished, the creative movement releases the form and appears in it as a function, of which the embodied being may now make use.

To be free is to be capable of thinking one’s own thoughts, not the thoughts merely of the body, or of society, but thoughts generated by one’s deepest most original, most essential and spiritual self, one’s individuality.

Hilma af Klint.
Spiritual art. I can't fully understand it but i love that it's not about intellect but about intuition. Like the pictures can wake you up to some sacred knowlege if you're willing.
Something about overcoming darkness. Spirit descends to matter. Matter rises to the spirit. Light and Darkness, male and female.
How to be in balance. The Alchemy of Life. How to be a human being, what a task.
Probably i should try again to read "The alchemical wedding", does is have to be painful?

If you want to free yourself from the slavery of human ignorance that lives only as robots you should dedicate yourself to building your internal temple through self-observation; only then will you have your own oasis in which you can revitalize yourself again and again until you ascend in your own time.

Whoever seeks higher knowledge must create it for himself. He must instill it into his soul. It cannot be done by study; it can only be done through life. Whoever, therefore, wishes to become a student of higher knowledge must assiduously cultivate this inner life of devotion. Everywhere in his environment and his experiences he must seek motives of admiration and homage. If I meet a man and blame him for his shortcomings, I rob myself of power to attain higher knowledge; but if I try to enter lovingly into his merits, I gather such power. The student must continually be intent upon following this advice. The spiritually experienced know how much they owe to the circumstance that in face of all things they ever again turn to the good and withhold adverse judgement. But this must not remain an external rule of life; rather it must take possession of our innermost soul.

"[E]very mortal being, situated between birth and destruction, merely manifests an appearance, a feeble and uncertain image of itself. If we try to grasp it with our understanding, it is as when water is tightly compressed and runs over merely through the pressure, spoiling what it touches. For the understanding, pursuing a too definite conception of each being that is subject to accidents and change, loses its way, now in the origin of the being, now in its destruction, and is unable to apprehend anything lasting or really existing. For, as Heraclitus says, we cannot swim twice in the same wave, neither can we lay hold of a mortal being twice in the same state, for, through the violence and rapidity of movement, it is destroyed and recomposed; it comes into being and again decays; it comes and goes. Therefore, that which is becoming can neither attain real existence, because growth neither ceases nor pauses. Change begins in the germ, and forms an embryo; then there appears a child, then a youth, a man, and an old man; the first beginnings and successive ages are continually annulled by the ensuing ones. Hence it is ridiculous to fear one death, when we have already died in so many ways, and are still dying."
