Ray prit une profonde respiration et indiqua à son collègue qu'il fallait rentrer à la boîte.
- On a plus rien à faire ici ! dit Ray , laissons les autres finir le boulot. Blotin semblait soulagé.
Arrivés au commissariat, Santenax, leur divisionnaire, attendait dans son bureau la porte grande ouverte, hurlait comme un fou, toute la boîte était sur les nerfs , deux flics firent un signe à Ray pour dire que le vieux était complètement dingue.
Ray et Blotin était dégoûtés d'avance.
- Alors ! hurla Santenax, ils arrivèrent près de la porte de son bureau, un détail attira leur attention , Santenax se tenait debout derrière son bureau, vêtu de son habituel costume , il était rouge et une abondante sueur coulait sur son visage .
A ce point là s'est inhabituel, il était au bout du rouleau, en surchauffe.
Il éructa :
- La nature haineuse de ces crimes en font une priorité absolue.
Ça va de soi ! pensa Ray jetant un œil vers son collègue .
Santenax était au bord de l'apoplexie.
Il rajouta n'ayant pas peur du ridicule :
- Écoutez collègues ! il faut me trouver cette dingue , elle va faire des dégâts, elle va tuer des braves gens ! je vous le demande solennellement.
Ray gueula :
- Des braves gens ! ça reste à voir !
Blotin ajouta un laïus sur la jeunesse de Christine V , se qu'elle avait subi, trouvant presque des excuses, ou des circonstances atténuantes pour ses actes.
Santenax au bord de la crise cardiaque, leur coupa le sifflets.
- Filez vite ! mettez le paquet sur cette fille , compris ?
Les deux comparses sortirent en ricanant.
Le père de Christine ainsi que le prêtre étaient en garde à vue , il restait Cremieux le concessionnaire. Ils le cherchèrent en vain .
Sa jeune et nouvelle épouse ne savait pas il se trouvait.
Il était partit précipitament de chez lui , depuis trois jours ne laissant aucune lettre d'explication. Rien. Aucune nouvelle, il avait disparu de la circulation.
Ray interpella la jeune femme.
- Vous savez qu'il est potentiellement en danger de mort ?
- Non ! pourquoi ? qu'est ce qu'il a fait ?
Ray lui dit que c'était une vieille histoire . Il téléphona à la boîte et fit lancer un avis recherche au nom de Cremieux.
Malgré tout le dispositif mis en place , Cremieux restait introuvable ainsi que Christine V.
Les enquêtes de proximité allaient bon train mais ne donnaient aucun résultat.
Santenax ne tenait plus en place et mettait une pression de plus en plus forte sur Ray et son équipe.
Ce n'est qu'en fin d'après-midi qu'on leur signala la présence d'un corps au 15 rue du Temple.
Ils y foncèrent directement , cette adresse était une vieille maison abandonnée avec un puit désaffecté situé au milieu de l'herbe folle , le même scénario se présentait.
Sous leurs yeux le vieux Cremieux gisait à proximité du puit avec une balle dans la tête et une religieuse au chocolat écrasée sur le visage parmi les débris d'os et de sang qui étaient déjà séchés.
Toute l'équipe habituelle prenait ses marques à la recherche d'indices , les uns prenant des mesures, les autres des photos.
Une vraie fourmilière chacun dans son domaine.

Paris é monótona...é toda bege! Se acha isso, vá à Rue Cremieux. Localizada a dois passos do Gare de Lyon, no bairro de Quinze-Vingt, no 12º arrondissement de Paris, o nome da via é uma homenagem ao advogado e político Adolphe Crémieux (1796-1880), autor do decreto de 1870 que deu aos judeus da Argélia o direito à nacionalidade francesa. Lá encontramos 35 pequenas casas geminadas, de dois andares, e construídas a partir de um modelo de cidade da classe trabalhadora, muito popular no século XIX. Na época, os apartamentos eram ocupados por trabalhadores abastados. Nos anos 1900, a rue Crémieux testemunhou um acontecimento que marcou a capital: a inundação do Sena em 1910. No número 8 da via, o nível do rio atingiu 1,75 m, e uma placa com a marca da enchente foi fixada no mesmo local. Anteriormente conhecida como avenue Millaud, em referência a seu criador Moïse Polydore Millaud, ela nem sempre exibiu suas esplêndidas cores pastéis. Foi exatamente em 1993 que esta ruazinha de 144 metros nas cores do arco-íris foi assim enfeitada. Nesse ano, a rua que é interditada para carros foi totalmente pavimentada a pedido dos moradores. Em troca disso, a prefeitura de Paris pediu aos residentes que pintassem suas fachadas. “Alguns optaram por tons pastel antes de mudar para cores mais chamativas”, diz Delphine Baccuzat, presidente da associação Rue Crémieux. Verde no número 21, azul no 22, roxo no 23, amarelo no 24, e assim vai. Uma explosão de cores que causa encantamento em todos que por ali passam, o espaço já serviu de cenário para muitos filmes e videoclipes.
