Go the Fuck to Sleep
Julie was just drifting off to sleep when the voice directly behind her said, "What time is our session in the studio tomorrow?"
"Seven baby." She whispered.
"Ok," Reggie squeezed her around the waist and snuggled back into her neck.
It was quiet for all of thirty seconds.
"We need to put pickles on the grocery list."
Julie giggled as Luke groaned from the other side of Reggie. "Babe I love you but please go the fuck to sleep."
"Sorry, Sorry," She felt Reggie lean back and smooch Luke loudly before he settled behind her again.
She was almost asleep when Reggie's quiet voice pulled her back from the brink again.
"It's just that..."
"Reggie…" Luke whined.
Julie sighed and turned around in Reggie's arms looking for his eyes in the dim light from the moon shining through the curtains. She could just make his features out, blinking at her owlishly and biting his bottom lip.
"Did we not tire you out enough mi corazon?" She placed one hand on his chest as she stroked his cheek with the other.
She watched him closely as he lowered his eyes and his blush warmed the palm of her hand.
"No..." He started to shake his head then stopped and sputtered. "I mean yes." He nodded and giggled. "You both..." He sighed as Luke chuckle behind him. "I'm good."
"Then what's wrong Reg?" Luke mumbled softly against the back of Reggie's neck.
"It's just…” He sighed.
“I love the weight of Luke against my back and his breath on my neck as he falls asleep,” he said pressing back against their boyfriend.
“And you…” He pulled her tighter against his chest. “You’re like the best stuffy ever.”
She giggled in his arms as Reggie flexed the hands spanning her back. “You’re soft in all the right places and you smell so good.”
“I just love being between you both so much I don't wanna sleep through it."
“Oh baby...” She cooed as both she and Luke hugged Reggie between them.
Just because they were in the same band and lived in the same house didn't mean they always had the same schedule. More often than not lately they'd been going to bed at different hours or crashing in the home studio wherever they managed to fall.
Tonight had been the first time in over a week they'd been together.
As they all relaxed their group hug Julie leaned back enough to give Reggie a soft kiss on the lips. "I promise we'll try to go to bed together more often.”
She leaned up to look at Luke who winked at her and nodded reading her mind like he often did. “You can even have middle dibs if you want for the rest of the month if you promise to, as our boyfriend so delicately put it, go the fuck to sleep.”
All three of them shook with giggles again.
"Really?" Reggie breathed out. “Every night? All month?”
"Yeah,” She grinned as he smiled at her excitedly. “I don't always like the middle because you two end up on top of me and… I love you both but you're heavy."
The guys laughed.
"And I like being in the middle for snuggles but I get so hot with both of you around me all night," Luke said around a yawn.
“Then it’s settled.” Julie reached over and stroked Luke’s arm. He reached over Reggie and pulled her leg up over Reggie’s hip leaving his hand on her thigh.
“Yep, settled,” Luke mumbled. “No more talking… sleeping now.”
Julie gave Reggie’s jaw a kiss as she tucked her head under his chin and settled her nose against his neck breathing him in immediately feeling drowsy again.
She felt him press his lips gently against the top of her head as she finally drifted off to the quiet sounds of both of her loves following her into dreamland.

Julie wasn't sure she was breathing as she waited for Mr. Brunner to return her math test. Calculus had never been her strongest subject, and this test was a big one-so she had reason to be nervous.
"Hey," Reggie whispered. "You'll do great, I just know it."
"If I do it's only because you tutored me," Julie replied.
Unlike Julie, Reggie excelled at math, so when he heard she needed help, he was happy to offer his services. It got him out of his house in the afternoons and neither of them mentioned how Ray slipped him a few bucks after each session.
The tests were handed back and Julie turned hers over with trembling fingers. Preparing to see a sea of red when she looked. But... as she looked it over, there was almost no red there. And a big fat 82% on the top.
"Oh my god!" she shrieked, turning and shoving it in Reggie's face. "Look!"
"Told you that you had this," he said with a smirk.
"Because of you," she replied. "Reggie I love you."
He grinned. "Love you too Jules. Now let's get to lunch. Your treat."
2. Luke stuck his tongue out of his mouth as he worked on his latest song. It was almost perfect, but the bridge was giving him trouble.
"Need a hand?" Julie asked from her spot besides him on the couch. They had both been absorbed in their own song, hanging out in her garage as they often did, not needing to talk, just swap songs when they needed to.
"Yeah, this bridge is killing me," Luke replied, handing over his notebook. "You?"
"Nah, I'm good," Julie replied, humming the tune to his song, making little notations along the margins regarding tempo, then came to the bridge part. She then started writing, scribbling madly and Luke had to sit back in awe as she made something work that had flummoxed him so badly. "How's that?"
Luke looked it over, and then a wide smile split his face. "Molina I love you and your beautiful brain."
She smiled back. "The feeling's mutual. Now let's see if we can fix the chorus."
"Wait, what's wrong with the chorus?"
3. Reggie slipped through his window, creeping around the house and then jumped on his bike, taking off towards Luke's house.
Sure it was late at night, but Luke barely ever slept, and honestly Reggie knew he wouldn't either if he stayed at his house. Not with his parents going at it like they were. Plus Luke had offered Reggie a place to go any time he needed.
Thankfully it was a short bike ride, and he quickly stashed his ride in the back yard, so as to not piss Mrs. P off. He knocked against Luke's window where there was still a light on, and Luke opened it up, giving him his infamous boyish grin.
"Hey Reg. Hop on in."
Reggie grinned, hoisting himself over the ledge, and threw off his leather jacket. "Thanks. The folks were re-enacting World War Two in the living room, I needed an out."
"I told you, any time," Luke replied, sitting himself back on his bed. "You wanna cuddle or the sleeping bag?"
"Cuddles please," he said, shucking off his jeans as Luke killed the light. Climbing in beside Luke, letting himself be pulled into those arms of his. "Thanks Lu. Love you."
"Sweet dreams Reg."
4. The applause was still ringing out as Julie and the Phantoms left the stage, the four of them beaming as they entered their green room.
"That was legendary!" Luke whooped as he launched himself back onto the couch.
"I can't believe we actually did that!" Reggie exclaimed, rubbing his face with a towel.
Alex was buried in Willie's arms but shot them all a pleased smile, even as it looked like he was ready to doze off then and there.
"Guys... we just played The Orpheum," Julie exhaled. "We could go real places from here."
"To the top boss!" Luke grinned, but then noticed Julie's watery eyes. "Hey, what's wrong?"
"It's just... I wish my mom was here for this."
The boys immediately got up and gathered her in a hug. Giving her all the support they could, even if they could never replace her mom. Julie sniffled and hugged them back. "Love you guys so much."
"Love you too boss," Luke replied.
"Forever and always," Reggie echoed.
5. Julie fluffed her hair in the mirror, and applied another layer of lip gloss before exiting her room. "How do I look?"
Reggie gave an exaggerated whistle while Luke pretended to use an imaginary camera, causing Julie to blush as she waved them off. "Thanks guys."
"Where you going Jules?" Reggie asked.
"Hot date," she replied, packing up her purse. "Dinner and a movie, but felt like making an effort. I really like this guy."
Luke felt a churning in his gut at that, sharing a look with Reggie. They had both discovered they had feelings for Julie long ago, and each other. But they had decided to not butcher their friendship and the band, the would keep their feelings to themselves.
Now it was coming back to bite them.
"Alright, I'm gone. Don't wait up!" Julie called at the door. "Love ya!"
"Be safe!" Reggie called.
"Have fun!" Luke added.
The door closed behind her and the boys shared another look-the sentiment clear. Fuck.
+1. Luke and Reggie decided to wait up-they both knew neither of them would be able to sleep until Julie got home.
But of course, neither of them could stay focused on any one thing either. Songs were all full of longing and scratched out phrases about unrequited love. Books got rifled through and tossed aside. Games were distracted button mashes.
"How long has she been gone?" Luke asked.
Reggie glanced at the clock. "Hour tops."
"Fuck," Luke said, tossing his head back onto the couch. "We gotta tell her Reg."
"I know," he replied, thought it was a mere whisper. "I think we might be too late though."
"Too late for what?"
They turned and saw Julie standing in the doorway, make up streaked down her face, looking much less jubilant than she had when she left.
"Julie!" Luke exclaimed coming over to hug her. "What happened?"
Reggie rushed to give her a wipes so she could clean her face, embracing her as she trembled in their hold. "Do we need to kill this guy?"
"You'd have to get in line," Julie snorted. "He seemed so nice online and then he was an arrogant, racist jerk in real life so I kicked him in the balls before I left."
"Good on ya boss," Luke chuckled.
"You deserve so much better than that waste of space," Reggie added, directing them all to the couch.
Julie sighed, relaxing back into the cushions. "I know, but every guy I like is either a jerk, or into someone else or..."
"Or?" Luke asked.
"Or it's more than one person. Both of whom I love like crazy, neither of whom I can be with because it will ruin everything," Julie finished, though her words were muffled from where her face was buried in her hands.
"Julie..." Reggie started, looking at Luke who nodded at him. "Julie, you know that they love you back right?"
"And not as friends, not as a sister or bandmate," Luke added. "Head over heels, hearts on our sleeves, completely gaga in love with you."
"Really?" Julie asked, lifting her head, looking hopeful. "You never said-neither of you!"
"Well neither did you!" Reggie replied, then laughed. "We're all idiots."
"We wasted too much time hung up on what ifs and maybes and worries," Luke said.
"We have lots of time left," Julie replied. "I love you both, you both love me..."
"And each other," Reggie piped up. "So what do you want to do about it?"
"Turn on a movie and see where the night takes us?" Julie suggested.
"We can get a pizza, since I doubt you ate," Luke added.
"Sounds like a perfect first date," Julie replied.
From then on out, they knew that every time they said I love you, it meant in the way they had always hoped, even if Alex claimed they said it to excess some times. But they never got tired of saying it, hearing it, and most of all, feeling it.
And they had a lifetime to do just that.

Is this okay? It's more than okay.
Peterpatterlina?
The humidity had reached a point where it was impossible for Julie to determine how much she was actually sweating from the near endless trekking through this jungle. All she really wanted was to sit down and rest. However after learning this place had literal carnivorous flowers that wouldn’t hesitate to eat her and the incident with spiders she didn’t dare stop and risk getting left behind.
Not that she thought Reggie and Luke would purposefully leave her behind. But she was already trailing behind. Only getting further behind  with every trip and stumble, not yet as adept at traversing the terrain as the other two.
How long had they been trapped here? They looked to be about her age.
She yelped as her foot caught on yet another root, stumbling forward, her wandering thoughts flying out of her head as the ground quickly grew closer.
An arm around her waist stopped her, and pulled her back against a warm body. A quick glance told her she was in Luke’s arms.
“You ok?” Reggie asked, face full of concern as he stepped closer into her space, all but trapping her between him and Luke. His hands hovered as his gaze drifted over her.
“Yeah, yeah fine.” She said, trying to hide out of breath she was and a little glad the heat would hide the blush burning along her cheeks. “How much more are we going to walk?”
“Not much farther now.” Luke said, releasing his grip and staying behind her as Reggie led the way.
Julie followed along hoping she wouldn’t have to try and remember how she got here in the first place, since everything looked the same to her. Eventually Reggie stopped at a large tree in a particularly barren portion of jungle and began climbing up a set of tangled up vines.
Julie's eyes traced up the vines to what must be their home, little more than a dilapidated ruin of a treehouse. At least from down here that’s what it looked like.
Thankfully, Luke didn’t need much reassurance that she could handle climbing up what essentially amounted to a rope ladder without any assistance. Further grateful that he kept his snickering and any further offers of assistance to himself. Despite how much she struggled she was going to do this herself. Besides she did not want to find out what compromising position she’d end up in if she couldn’t do this herself.
Only compromising positions quickly became her only thought as she entered the treehouse and realized how much smaller it was than she guessed. Definitely smaller than her bedroom back home, as she squeezed herself into a corner to try and stay out of the way, as Luke and Reggie moved about the space.
“Sorry it’s not much.” Reggie said with a shrug, as he glanced around.
“Really it’s just the bed, if you can even call it that.” Luke added, with a sheepish nod toward the assorted fabrics and piles of what Julie had to assume were leaves that took up a good portion of the floor.
“Is this okay?”
“It’s more than okay.” She said, unsure what she even would have done if they hadn’t come along. Certain she very much owed these two her life a hundred times over by now with all the ways she could have wound up dead. “Definitely better than ending up dead or eaten alive, anyway.”
She grimaced as her forced laugh did nothing to try and turn her phrase into a joke. If anything Luke and Reggie’s faces crumpled even more and it broke what tenuous grip Julie had on powering through her situation. She hadn’t even realized how close she had been to crying so focused on following Luke and Reggie to some sort of shelter.
They quickly wrapped her up in a hug, whispering apologies against her hair as her crying only grew worse. They didn’t say it out loud but she could hear it in the finality of their tones. They all were as good as dead in their current situation, trapped in a jungle with no way of getting out or contacting home.
All they were doing now was prolonging the inevitable on the slim hope someone else could pull them free.
Julie’s grip tightened on their arms as she willed those nefarious thoughts out of her mind. Luke and Reggie had survived this long, however long it had been, she could too.
She would cling to that small hope of rescue for as long as she could just as tightly as her nails dug into their arms.

i can feel you dreaming of me
she dreams of the melody first.
julie molina walks through her waking life as normal, and when her eyes flutter closed there's a song in three-part harmony always floating through her mind.
well. maybe not through her mind--it almost feels like the song is her mind; it's not just something she's thinking of, in this dream world; it *is* the world. the notes swirl around her like fog and like wind, and the very sound pulses from her skin. it's as if she's a walking melody when she's here in her dreams. the music comes from the very core of her.
it's the most beautiful she's ever felt ever in her entire life.
for awhile it's just her, a melody humming on the breeze. and then one night: there's a counterpoint, bright and sharp, and it cuts through the fog like a beautiful burst of light.
i found you, it seems to say, a thread of pure joy pulsing through. i found you!
you found me, julie sings back, with her whole self.
another night there's a thrumming low rhythm instead, and julie knows it's not the same counterpoint as before. this feels like going for a walk on a sunny day, a bounce in her step and her heartbeat in her chest. it makes her feel like dancing, and she does, and the rhythm itself seems to grin somehow, and something else lights up inside julie like the pulse of fireflies on a summer night.
a lot of times the counterpoint melody and the rhythmic bass come together, and with julie they make the most beautiful sounds she's ever heard. a three-part harmony with chords that couldn't possibly be real, but the thing is.
the thing is.
now, when julie wakes, she's hearing music everywhere she goes. not on store radios, not in her earbuds, but something is humming along with her very life, and every day it's getting louder, more insistent. there's a melody, and bass, and even drums now too; entire songs unspooling in her mornings and in her nights.
flynn just says she's glad julie has her music back, after rose.
but julie knows that's not it. or at least, that's not all of it. something is coming to life inside her--something she thought was gone, yes, but also something she didn't know was there.
it happens one ordinary day. a tuesday, maybe, or a sunday afternoon, a soft slow day in the middle of january, but it's los angeles, so the sun is shining and it's a perfect day to walk along the shores of silver lake and daydream.
and then she hears it. hears them.
"i still think something is missing--"
"come on, luke, it's a good song, what could possibly be--"
"i just think--back me up here, reg--there's another vocal line, i just can't--"
julie's running. julie's spinning and running and there's a band on the boardwalk stage, three boys, bass and drums and guitar, and they're beautiful, and that melody in her soul rings so loudly she can't help but--
rise through the night you and i we will fight to shine together
the guitarist looks up first--his eyes are piercing and bright, and julie knows: it was his countermelody. it was his, and her heart sings.
the bassist, next, and his smile is familiar and warm as fireflies.
"oh, boy," the drummer finally says, and julie can't help but grin at him, too. he looks exasperated, but in a fond way, and when julie laughs it feels like a symphony in her chest.
"it's you," the guitarist says.
"i found you," julie says.
and when they all sing together it goes like this:
bright forever

wip (amnesty) wednesday
so... i have a lot of ideas. and most of these ideas are just sort of wasting away in my google drive in folders upon folders upon folders... and i don’t know if or when i’ll ever get around to writing them so i thought: why not share them anyway?
idk how long i’ll keep up with this but for starters, here’s the rukebox mob au i came up with in june 2021 after watching one trailer for the sopranos prequel:
(this is LONG so most of it will be under the cut and yes this is how i plot, i’m insane, i know)
Reggie's the son of the mafia boss, Julie's his high school sweetheart, and Luke's a musician who works in one of his family's clubs. Willie is Reggie's best friend, who is also close with the family and is sort of Reggie's right hand man (even though Reggie really does Not want to be involved with mob business) and helps to run the club where Luke (and Alex and Carrie) work.
Alex and Willie start dating in secret, because neither of them are Out, and Reggie discovers them one day and Alex just fully bolts while Willie begs Reggie not to say anything to anyone. Reggie swears he won't, he wouldn't, but Willie needs to be careful. the mob doesn't exactly have a record of being friendly towards the LGBTQIA+ community and Reggie's afraid of what might happen if his dad was to find out that Willie is gay and screwing one of the male musicians at the club.
it also doesn't help that Reggie's secretly been battling his own sexuality crisis. ever since Luke started working at the club, Reggie's been having these feelings he can't figure out. he loves Julie, he always has. he wants to marry her someday, but sometimes Luke just Looks at him and Reggie forgets how to function.
when Reggie goes home to Julie that night, she can tell something's off. he tries to brush her off but she knows him too well. she's not going to leave it alone until he tells her what's wrong. she keeps pressing and asking and finally he just blurts out that he thinks he might be bisexual! Julie's thrown for a bit of a loop and Reggie starts to panic and apologize, rambling on and on about how he loves her so much but he just has these Feelings He Can't Explain and it's been weighing on him for weeks, ever since Luke started working at the club, and finally Julie just grabs him and is like REGGIE. it's okay!!
she had a feeling all along. she knows he loves her, but she's not blind. she's seen the way Luke looks at him, the way Reggie looks at him when he thinks nobody's watching. she's not mad. if she's honest… she thinks Luke is cute, too. Reggie gets down on his knees and clutches at her, begging her not to tell anyone, not to leave him, he doesn't know what he'd ever do without her. Julie laughs and plays with his hair to calm him down, telling him over and over that she's not going anywhere.
"you being bisexual doesn't change anything. you're still you. and I love you."
Julie pulls him back up to his feet and he kisses her, so relieved that she understands. she gets it. she gets him. he's so fucking lucky to have her.
"about Luke…" she teases, smirking at Reggie as his cheeks go pink. "have you ever thought about…" she wiggles her eyebrows and Reggie fully balks. like, of course his fantasies have gotten a little wild once or twice, but he never ever thought he'd have to admit it. and now here Julie is asking him point blank, encouraging him to talk about it. Reggie's pretty sure his head's going to explode.
she takes him into their bedroom and keeps goading him on, asking what he'd do if he had both of them here together, her and Luke. Reggie's never even thought about that before and now that it's in his head, out there in the open, god. it's all he wants.
and to his surprise, Julie seems to want it too.
the following weekend, Julie comes to the club in her best dress, one that she knows Reggie loves. Luke's there, of course, and so is Reggie. he's stunned to see her because she didn't tell him she was coming, and she smiles at him and says that was all part of her plan. she's here to do some recognizance of her own when it comes to Luke, and Reggie chokes on air.
she stays glued to Reggie's side but keeps her eyes fixed on Luke. she catches him looking at them over and over again - and every single time she turns and whispers in Reggie's ear that he should go talk to him. she smiles at Luke whenever she catches his eye, and the way he keeps looking at Reggie - at both of them - leads her to believe that maybe she really was right. he might be into this more than she thought.
but when the band takes a break, Reggie flat out refuses to go talk to Luke ("I can't we're at my family's club people will see"). so Julie stands up and declares that she'll do it, and she walks away before Reggie can stop her. he should've known better, honestly. she's so fucking headstrong and stubborn when she wants to be. even if Luke wants nothing to do with them, she'd probably be able to convince him otherwise in twenty minutes flat.
Reggie just watches in horror as she walks over to him and strikes up a conversation, leaning in too close and god, Reggie wishes more than anything that he had the guts to follow. he so desperately wants to know what they're talking about. he watches Luke's face go from surprise to curious to a fucking lethal smirk in the span of a few minutes, and when he looks over at Reggie and discovers him watching, the smirk gets even bigger.
Reggie is pretty sure he's going to die tonight. just right here on the spot.
Luke definitely goes home with them that night, and Reggie's never been so happy and so fucking terrified in his life. his family can never find out about this.
but one day, a few weeks later, he gets called into his father's office. alone. Reggie immediately starts to panic, because he's certain that somehow his dad's found out about him and Julie and Luke. he has no idea what else this could be about.
it turns out that someone spotted Alex and Willie together the day before, and his dad wants to know why Reggie didn't know about it. and if he did know about it, why he didn't come to him with this information before he had to hear it from some lowlife. Reggie splutters, his mind is reeling, and he starts defending Willie and Alex immediately. saying them falling in love shouldn't have any effect on the family or the business or ANYTHING-- and his dad fights to interrupt his rambling just to tell him that he doesn't give a flying fuck who Willie is screwing, he just wants them to keep it professional at the club.
and Reggie… can't believe what he's hearing. "what???" "what what? Willie's a good boy. he does good work." his dad shrugs. "what do i care who he screws? just tell him not to do that shit in front of the customers and we got no problems." and, well, Reggie's offended on their behalf, but he doesn't argue with his dad. this is the most understanding he's ever known him to be, and he's not about to rock the boat.
he asks his dad why he thought he'd know about it, and his dad's like "willie's your best friend, whaddya mean you didn't know?" and Reggie goes red. maybe his dad knows him a little better than he thought he did.
his dad tells him he's free to go, just pass the message onto Willie that he's not in trouble or nothing. Reggie sighs in relief and turns to go, but there's something holding him back. there's a voice in his head saying this is your fucking chance you idiot you better fucking take it.
he turns back to his dad and says "i've got something i gotta tell you."
his dad slumps in his chair and sighs. "who did you knock up?" "what?!" "if you knocked somebody up, you gotta do the right thing--" "dad, i didn't--" "i'm just sayin, you can't go 'round knockin' girls up and--" "DAD I DIDN'T KNOCK ANYBODY UP FOR FUCK'S SAKE I'M TRYING TO TELL YOU I LIKE GUYS!"
and… reggie freezes. he didn't mean to blurt it out like that. his dad just stares at him for a moment and then his face twists with confusion. "hang on. ain't you still dating that julie molina?" and Reggie gulps. "are you making a fool of that girl, because if you are i'm gonna--" "no, dad! fuck! i like girls AND guys."
his dad sits back in his chair and hums. he stays silent for a long while and then lets out a huge sigh and shrugs. "ok." "ok??" "ok. you're still dating julie, ain'tcha?"
reggie nods, absolutely baffled with how this conversation is going. his dad shrugs again and waves him out, effectively saying their talk is now over. Reggie exits the office and slumps against the door, trying to figure out just what the fuck happened in there.
he goes home that night and finds Luke already in the kitchen with Julie, the two of them making dinner for the three of them. they both light up when Reggie comes in, and as soon as Julie asks him how his day was, Reggie just blurts out "I told my dad I'm bi."
Julie drops the utensil she was holding and Luke gapes. neither of them ever expected he'd do that. Luke's the first to speak, he cracks a joke about if he should be on the lookout for a little red dot from a sniper, and it breaks the tension.
Reggie tells them that it went oddly well, he thinks? his dad seemed more relieved about him not knocking up some random stranger than wanting to sleep with guys and girls. Julie hugs Reggie tightly and tells him she's so proud of him, and Luke does the same. Reggie breathes a sigh of relief. they still have to keep their relationship on the down low, but at least he's made progress. it's a start.

PETERPATTERLINA + KISSES
Kisses were always Reggie’s favourite way to show affection. They always made him feel some kind of safe and loved that he never thought was possible, not with the home that he had grown up in. So, it’s nice and he appreciates it a lot. Like,
When he is laying down, having a bad day curled up on the bed - not wanting to leave it, and Julie will come in and lay beside him, arms open for him to crawl into, and he does. He will curl up around her, and she will press a kiss to the top of his head, whispering I love you’s into his hair, and telling him that she will always be there for him.
Then Luke will come in, giving a soft smile at the pair before climbing onto the bed and taking up Reggie’s other side, holding him tightly as he presses a gentle kiss to the back of Reggie’s neck ; saying his own I love you’s as he intertwines his hand with Julie’s as they hold Reggie between them.
Or when Julie will press feather light kiss to his wet shoulder after helping him out of the shower on a bad day. Or when Luke sneaks in a kiss when they share a microphone at practice because he thinks no one is looking. Or when Luke and Julie decided to attack his face with kisses as they all spiral into a laughing mess. He likes the soft gentle kisses that tell you ‘I love you’ without any of them having to say it. He likes the ones that a full of passion and heat. He just, he really loves kisses, especially when they’re from Julie and Luke.

You're every song I ever sing
Every night the world is given dreams that lead you to your soulmate-and sometimes, you might just have more than one.
This is my entry for the @jatpfebfanfest and it is a gift to the ever lovely @ri-jane They asked for PeterPatterLina and soulmates, so you know I jumped right on it! I really hope you enjoy this fic hun!
No one knows when the dreams started-they had been a part of life for all of recorded human history. It wasn’t until later that people realized they lead you to your soulmate, and even then not everyone adhered to that belief. There were no hard and fast rules that said you had to be with your soulmate, or what type of mate they were. So the populace were left to their own devices, even as groups fought on every side of the debate in regards to the dreams.
Raymond Molina dreamt of roses falling into his arms. He’d never been a big fan of the flowers, but there they were, bright crimson and beautiful every time he fell asleep. It wasn’t until he was in his twenties that the dreams made any sense-he was shooting a concert, and his flash blinded the singer on stage. She fell right into his arms, smiling up at him.
“I’m Rose.”

fake dating for the never have i ever game
So I've never actually written anything with fake dating! I do have a fake dating premise/wip but I haven't touched it in a while...it involves three people so it's a little complex.
If I ever get around to writing that, though: Reggie’s mom is getting remarried. The two of them are a little codependent and fiercely protective of one another and he doesn't want to show up without a date because then she'll spend all of what should be her night worrying about him. He can't ask a close friend, though; they're all happily in relationships. He's about to resort to Tinder or Craigslist or something.
However, Luke is worried about him and that plan (surely just worried and that's all this weird feeling is), so he asks Julie if she'll go with him. The two of them have been together for a long time. He convinces her (on the condition that they all come up with rules and boundaries).
So Reggie calls his mom and tells her that he's bringing Julie. But Reggie’s mom remembers that Julie was always with Luke. Luckily, while Reggie is stammering, she saves him.
"You waited so long to tell me because she's dating both of you, isn't she? That's okay. I know what polyamory is, Reginald, I'm hip."
So now Luke has also been invited.
They all go to the wedding, rules get broken, internal chaos ensues, Reggie doesn't want to go back to their shared hotel room so he ends up going to his grandma for advice.
And eventually he lets Luke and Julie love him and everything turns out fine actually and when morning comes...
They are still right there with him.
(I want to call it Step Into The Daylight)

Colour fic prompts! Red 3, PeterPatterLina!
Being a ghost lately was hard enough. With the ever changing rules regarding tangibility and visibility. Add in a layer of honest to god magic no one knew how to combat, and well, even Reggie was having a hard time just nonchalantly brushing this one off.
It was like all their verbal filters had been shut off for the day. Not that they really had much of any filter set up to begin with. Which is probably why it took the three of them so long to realize anything was wrong in the first place. Sure, Alex was more talkative than usual but Reggie had figured it was just because Willie was back in their after-lives and he was nervous or excited about their upcoming date.
It wasn’t until Luke openly confessed he was going to go spend the last couple hours of Julie’s school day haunting his parents they knew something was wrong. Worse, Luke didn’t even realize he’d said it, fully believing he’d said whatever lie he’d concocted to explain away his absence.
Things only got more complicated once Julie got home from school. Mortified by everything Flynn was filling her in on that she’d said throughout the day. The only reason they all knew it was magic magic and not ghost magic.
Soon after that reveal, Alex jumped at the chance to find Willie and hunt down a solution. Reggie’s not sure if it was in an effort to stop word vomiting around them, or to get away from the scene that was Julie and Luke gushing over each other on the couch.
It hadn’t started out that way. At first Julie legitimately was trying to explain how confused she’d been all day. Then she caught sight of Luke’s arms and…”Jesus, would you even struggle to lift me?”
The words fell out of her mouth, so quickly, Luke didn’t start sputtering until she was already several sentences into her next thought. Reggie didn’t blame her for thinking it, nor for the comments Luke made about Julie’s wild halo of hair. He’d thought the same thing himself from time to time.
Thankfully, the two of them soon were eating up the inadvertent compliments. Practically turning it into a game to see if they could tell when they’d accidentally said something by the way the others expression shifted. All of their focus on eachother, and not on Reggie.
As far as the others are aware he never had a filter in the first place and he was trying his damndest to ensure it stayed that way.
“Ugh, at this rate those two should just get a room already.” Flynn says, though there is an underlying fondness to their teasing. She doesn’t even bother trying to keep it quiet, Julie shoots a brief blush filled glare before getting understandably distracted by Luke again.
Reggie keeps his tight lipped smile looking as natural as he can, hoping this weird filter thing doesn’t also apply to facial expressions and it’s not obvious how twisted inside he is.
This should be an easy topic of conversation though, right? Not the first time he’d teased Luke or Julie about how smitten and perfect they are for each other. Surely there’s something he can say without completely putting his foot in his mouth?
More than he usually does anyway.
The longer he sits and thinks about it the more suspicious it would seem. Besides he doesn’t have the wits or wherewithal to even pretend to be witty right now.  So he just goes with the easiest solution of agreeing with Flynn.
“Yeah, you’re so right.”
Silence descends upon the room, and Reggie’s stomach drops to the floor with it. Flynn’s teasing smirk has taken on a shocked edge, aimed directly at him.
What did he say?
“What’d you say?” Julie and Luke ask from the couch, where he is actively avoiding looking.
Shit, what did he just say?
“What?” He asks, unable to even force himself to laugh. “I said Flynn’s right. Get a room.”
“No. You said, ‘they’re so hot.’” Flynn says, biting back a laugh and keeping her tone relatively neutral.
“Oh, well that’s just stating facts.” Reggie says, relief almost surging through him. All he’d done was essentially repeat what Julie and Luke were already saying. Anyone could objectively see how good looking they were. Just like anyone could see how much they cared about each other and how well they fit together.
He hadn’t said anything too revelatory. Like mention the bittersweet ache that always plagued his chest whenever he was around them. The happiness seeing them happy despite how much he wished he was more . . .involved.
Flynn grimaces, almost sympathetically. And Reggie didn’t know his stomach could drop any lower. “Oh, god, how much of that was out loud?”
“How honest do you want me to be?” Flynn barely manages to whisper before Julies asking more questions of her own.
“What do you mean more involved?”
Reggie groans, as he finally turns to look toward Julie and Luke. The two of them are not near as slack jawed as he thought they should be. Luke’s trying to bite back one of his stupidly charming smug grins.
“Stupidly charming?” Luke’s smile grows, in spite of Julie’s pointed elbow nudge, while Reggie’s face heats up to an uncomfortable degree.
He’s really wishing he’d gone with Alex. Maybe he wouldn’t have as much of a headache as he does now.  “Could we talk about this later, please? When I can actually keep track of what it is I’m saying?”
At least at a level he typically can keep track of his thoughts and what he’s saying.
A round of stiff giggles and chuckling echoes around him. Only making his blush worsen wondering if he’d somehow said even more than he intended again.
“That’s probably a good idea.” Julie says as she adjusts her seat on the couch “Just so long as you promise to actually talk about this.”
It’s a promise he happily and readily makes. Ease by the way Julie and Luke pull him into hugs and don’t let him go very far for the rest of the day. Even getting pulled into their weird compliments game.

I want to know everything about the 'you married a rodeo cowboy' au including 'do we get references to assless chaps'.
LMAO YES.
okay so this one is @daintyduck99 's fault and will hopefully be a collab??? but it really is her fault
she messaged me with a Rascal Flatts song (These Days) and said "someone could write a Peterpatterlina fic loosely based on this"
(There is a line in the song you married a rodeo cowboy, that ain't the girl and knew")
and my brain spat out 357 words of a fairly detailed summary (i will condense it for you bc this is tumblr hahaha):
high school sweethearts luke & julie break up after graduation/drift away in their twenties
suddenly it's ten, fifteen years later and luke is doing the struggling musician thing--playing small clubs, open mics, tucked-away bars
and one night, in one of those bars, he looks up from his last song to see julie molina in the crowd
she's just as beautiful as the day he last saw her
and he finishes his set, rushes off stage, hoping she hasn't left
and hears "luke patterson" in that voice of hers
and there's a Moment
but then a man in a motorcycle jacket and black cowboy boots sidles up to julie, in her space, and luke bristles, and julie says
"luke, this is my husband, reggie"
and his heart drops
game's over before it begins
she married a rodeo cowboy in las vegas
BUT luke can't seem to hate him, he's drawn to him too, to both of them
they close out the bar
maybe the game's still afoot....
