Why I Think The Royal Magic Wand Took The Form That It Did For Some Of The Past Rulers Of Mewni
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ok. Here I’ll be going over my thoughts on why the Royal Magic Wand took the form that it did for some of the past rulers of Mewni. As shown in the episode ‘Star Comes To Earth’, the Royal Magic Wand takes a different form depending on who is wielding it. So, I’ll be going over some of the rulers of Mewni and how each of their version of the Royal Magic Wand corresponds to each of them. Also, Spoiler Alert for the Star VS The Forces Of Evil TV series and the Star VS The Forces Of Evil: The Magic Book Of Spells. With that out of the way, let’s dive right in.
Tumblr media
I think that the reason why Queen Skywynne’s version of the Royal Magic Wand had a clock on it is pretty self-explanatory. After all, as shown in the Skywynne Queen Of Hours chapter of Star VS The Forces Of Evil: The Magic Book Of Spells, Queen Skywynne had quite a few spells that manipulate time. And as also shown in the Skywynne Queen Of Hours chapter of Star VS The Forces Of Evil: The Magic Book Of Spells, Queen Skywynne saw time as an infinite paradox when she first grabbed the Royal Magic Wand. So, that probably also caused it to have a clock motif. Queen Skywynne’s version of the Royal Magic Wand also had black onyx crystal that made up the hands on its clock and black onyx crystal also partly powers Queen Skywynne’s version of the Royal Magic Wand as shown in the Skywynne Queen Of Hours chapter. I heard that the color black is sometimes associated with regeneration and new beginnings which makes it fitting for Queen Skywynne since, as stated in the Skywynne Queen Of Hours chapter, she was the first queen to write in the new Magic Book Of Spells since the old one was also destroyed in a fire and, despite the loss of almost all the knowledge of magic from her ancestors, created some really powerful spells like the Infuriating Repeater spell which helped construct a new and better version of Butterfly Castle after the old version was destroyed in said fire. I think that’s pretty much regeneration from the destruction of almost all the knowledge from Queen Skywynne’s ancestors and the destruction of the old version of Butterfly Castle. And it marked a new beginning for the Butterfly family just like how the hands on a clock mark the time of the day. Queen Skywynne persevered through that fearful and dark time which makes it fitting that black onyx crystal helps to power her wand since I heard that black onyx crystal is associated with overcoming overwhelming fears and worries. As shown in the Skywynne Queen Of Hours chapter, Queen Skywynne’s wand also had ringing bells on it that make a sound that could only be heard by dogs, ferrets and pig-goats. I think that’s fitting since, as shown in the Skywynne Queen Of Hours chapter, Skywynne is loyal to her kingdom just like how a dog is loyal to their owner, is intelligent just like a ferret and has an immense desire to learn more about magic spells just like how a pig-goat, as shown in the Moon The Undaunted chapter, has an immense desire for food. And I think the ringing bells on top of the clock on Queen Skywynne’s wand are also fitting because just like how an alarm clock rings to signal a person to wake up, the kingdom of Mewni rang its bell to signal Queen Skywynne to stay awake to serve it and Skywynne did just that by not following her lazy mother’s example as shown in the Skywynne Queen Of Hours chapter.
Tumblr media
As shown in the Jushtin The Uncalculated chapter of Star VS The Forces Of Evil: The Magic Book Of Spells, Jushtin’s version of the Royal Magic Wand is a pink and white striped cane with a living alligator head and a heart with wings on it. And as also shown in the Jushtin The Uncalculated chapter, Jushtin was pretty upbeat. I think that the pink and white striped cane part of Jushtin’s wand was a nod to how upbeat Jushtin was. After all, the pink and white striped cane does kinda look like a candy cane and candy canes seem to convey cheerfulness and optimism. As for the living alligator head, I think that came from the fact that Jushtin is, as shown in the Jushtin The Uncalculated chapter, very loyal to his family and to his kingdom. After all, as stated in the Jushtin The Uncalculated chapter, the living alligator head on Jushtin’s wand never bites their Jushtin since he’s their ‘dad’ and they love him. And I think the heart with wings came from Jushtin’s love for the people around him. After all, as shown in the Jushtin The Uncalculated chapter, Jushtin loved his mother Skywynne, his math tutor and his “Boy-Prince Cru”.
Tumblr media
As shown in the Solaria The Monster Carver chapter of Star VS The Forces Of Evil: The Magic Book Of Spells, Solaria’s version of the Royal Magic Wand is a sword that harnesses aggression. I think the reason for that is so obvious that I don’t think it has to be explained that much. After all, as shown in the Solaria The Monster Carver chapter, Solaria seems to love fighting and is also extremely aggressive to the point of taking cruel enjoyment out of the deaths of monsters.
Tumblr media
As shown in the Eclipsa The Queen Of Darkness chapter of Star VS The Forces Of Evil: The Magic Book Of Spells, Queen Eclipsa’s version of the Royal Magic Wand is an umbrella. I think the reason why that is the case is because of how Eclipsa coped with her trauma. As shown in the episode ‘Moon The Undaunted’, Eclipsa was frozen in a crystal for generations. Also, as shown in the episode ‘Butterfly Trap’, Eclipsa was labeled as evil for marrying a monster named Globgor and Eclipsa’s daughter Meteora was taken away from her after she was frozen in that crystal. So, Eclipsa has suffered quite a lot over the course of her life. But, despite that, Eclipsa seems pretty calm and optimistic. For example, as shown in the episode ‘Stranger Danger’, Eclipsa seemed pretty calm despite everything that she’s been through. Picture Eclipsa’s trauma as a rainstorm and Eclipsa’s rather surprising ability to cope with it as an umbrella. The proverbial umbrella that is Eclipsa’s ability to cope with her trauma helped to at least more or less persevere through the proverbial rainstorm that is her trauma. So, I think that Eclipsa’s wand taking the form of an umbrella symbolized her ability to cope with her trauma.
Tumblr media
As shown in Crescenta The Eager chapter of Star VS The Forces Of Evil: The Magic Book Of Spells, Queen Crescenta has quite an overinflated ego and, if her spells are any indication, seemed to have a screw loose. That makes it quite ironic that Crescenta’s version of the Royal Magic Wand has 3 hearts on it. One heart made of ruby. One heart with a ribbon wrapped around it. And one heart right above the crystal heart. In the Crescenta The Eager chapter, Crescenta claimed that a heart on her wand meant that she had a big heart and truly wanted to help her kingdom. But given that, as also shown in the Crescenta The Eager chapter, Crescenta not only had an oversized ego but also came up with the Monster Arm spell and a spell to turn her sister into a wolf, I doubt that’s the case. So, I think those 3 hearts on Crescenta’s wand mean something else. Here’s a metaphor to explain what I think the ruby heart means. Crescenta had a heart frozen in ruby. As everyone knows, a frozen heart is a metaphor used to describe someone who is apathetic and detached from the people around them. And like I pointed out, Crescenta came up with spells like the Monster Arm spell and a spell to turn her sister into a wolf. So, in that regard, Crescenta definitely has a frozen heart. As for the part about Crescenta’s heart being frozen in ruby, I think that reflects Crescenta’s ego and pride. After all, just like how a ruby can gleam in the light, Crescenta likes to gleam in the spotlight. There’s also something else I noticed about the crystal heart on Crescenta’s wand. It’s on a purple heart and around that, an outline of a yellow heart. I heard that the color purple is associated with royalty, nobility, luxury, power and ambition which corresponds well with Crescenta’s personality since, as shown in the Crescenta The Eager chapter, she had an ambitious desire to become queen. I also heard that the color yellow is associated with joy and happiness which corresponds disturbingly well with how Crescenta, as also shown in the Crescenta The Eager chapter, used a spell on herself to remove all negativity from her mind in order to stay optimistic and cheerful. In this regard, I also think it’s fitting that the outline of the yellow heart is around the purple heart since, as shown in the Crescenta The Eager chapter, the reason why Crescenta used that spell on herself to remove all the negativity from her mind and stay cheerful was in order to help prepare herself for her royal duties and thus fulfill her ambitions as a royal. That means that Crescenta’s desire to be happy and cheerful was a byproduct of her ambitions as a royal. And I think the reason why the ruby heart is in the center of the purple heart and the yellow heart is because the crystal heart, as I explained earlier, reflects Crescenta’s desire to be in the spotlight which is right in the center of and also what sparked Crescenta’s ambitions as a royal that the purple heart reflects which then sparked Crescenta’s desire to be happy and cheerful that the yellow heart reflects. Also, there’s another heart right above the ruby heart, the purple heart and the yellow heart. I think that heart reflects how much Crescenta puts her heart into her exploits in order to fulfill her desires and ambitions. After all, as stated in the Crescenta The Eager chapter, while Crescenta does indeed have an overinflated ego, she at least works hard to get to where she is partly because she did join the Junior Castle Guard in order to keep watch over the castle during the night. There’s also one more heart with a ribbon-like bow right below the ruby heart, the purple heart and the yellow heart. I think that heart with the ribbon-like bow around it reflects Crescenta’s love for her status. Ironically, I also think that’s why there are swan feathers attached to the heart with the ribbon-like bow. I heard that swan feathers are sometimes considered a warning that something is out of balance. I think that’s fitting because, while status and power are good and all, they can’t love a person back.
Tumblr media
As shown in the Comet The Chef chapter of the Star VS The Forces Of Evil: The Magic Book Of Spells, Comet loved cooking and making food. I think that makes it fitting that Queen Comet’s wand crystal was, as stated in the Comet The Chef chapter, made of a type of quartz called Baker’s Quartz since I heard that quartz is a great countertop material for those who like to cook and bake. I think Comet loving to cook and make food also makes it fitting that her wand handle, as also stated in the Comet The Chef chapter, was a rolling dowel which is a tool for making food. And as stated in the Comet The Chef chapter, Comet’s wand also had hearts and angel-like wings on it. I think that represents how Comet, as shown in the Comet The Chef chapter, was very kind to the point that she wanted to make peace with all of monster kind. That’s very impressive considering the fact that, as far as recorded Mewni history is concerned, Comet was the only royal besides Queen Eclipsa and Star Butterfly who wanted to do so.
Tumblr media
As shown in the Moon The Undaunted chapter of Star VS The Forces Of Evil: The Magic Book Of Spells, Queen Moon used to be pretty optimistic and happy but then was deeply traumatized by the death of her mother. And as also shown in the Moon The Undaunted chapter, the crystal on Moon’s wand was heart-shaped and a type of crystal from the Crystal Dimension that was almost indestructible. I think that’s fitting since Moon’s heart used to be full of happiness and optimism before then being hardened by the death of her mother. I think that the fact that it was an almost indestructible type of crystal represented just how hardened Moon’s heart was. After all, Moon’s heart was hardened to the point that, as shown in the episode ‘Mr. Candle Cares’, when Star asked Moon: “Are you happy?”, Moon responded with: “Happy? What difference does that make?”. And as stated in the Moon The Undaunted chapter, Moon’s wand handle was made of Snakewood, a material that’s found in the Neverzone, a region in Dimension X-103. And as shown in the episode ‘Running With Scissors’, time in Dimension X-103 flows differently to the point that 16 years in Dimension X-103 and, by extension, the Neverzone equals 8 minutes on Earth which caused Marco Diaz to become an adult while he was there whereas all of his friends on Earth were still teenagers. I think this is a nod to how Moon, as shown in the episode ‘Moon The Undaunted’, was forced to, at least metaphorically, grow up as if she were an adult despite the fact that she was still a teenager at the time.
Tumblr media
As shown in the Star The Underestimated chapter of Star VS The Forces Of Evil: The Magic Book Of Spells, Star’s version of the Royal Magic Wand has what seems to be one star on top of another one with 5 hearts around it. And as shown in the episode ‘Star Comes To Earth’, Star is incredibly optimistic and is an extremely passionate person. So, I think the star represents Star’s optimism since, as probably knows, looking to the stars is sometimes associated with feeling hope and the 5 hearts represent Star’s passion since being passionate about something means, metaphorically speaking, pouring your heart into it. I think this might also explain why Star can be so chaotic sometimes which was something that was demonstrated in the episode ‘Star VS. Echo Creek’ where Star got into a sugar rush and accidentally destroyed a police car. After all, having too much of the hopes and dreams of an optimist combined with too much of the heart and drive of a passionate person could cause someone to have so much heart and drive to achieve their hopes and dreams that they might take things too far. There’s also a butterfly with a couple of angel-like wings right next to it. I heard that butterflies symbolize change and transformation. So, I think that represents how Star changed when it came to her view of monster-kind. After all, as shown in the episode ‘Lobster Claws’, Star used to think that monsters were nothing but evil but as shown in the episode ‘Mewnipendence Day’, Star’s view on monsters changed to the point that she let Buff-Frog go and later gave him some corn. And I think the angel-like wings represent the kindness Star showed as a result. Also, I think that Star’s wand crystal being yellow represents Star’s optimism. As I said earlier, Star is pretty optimistic and as I also said earlier, I heard that the color yellow is sometimes associated with happiness.
Well, that’s all for this post.
See you all next time.

Does Pierre Diamrem know Maria Butterfly (the current ruler of Mewni in Rigel’s universe) and Butterscotch (imrigellucitor’s Jackie x Toffee kid)?
What happen to them in the future, do they have kids too and if their children encounter Lara?
1. He only heard about them from Rigel’s mentioning. They will sit and exchange about their past to manifest and reflecting on! So, yeah he didn’t know them quite personally because they’re from other dimensions
Tumblr media
But if you asked me about Maria and Butterscotch, I don’t really know because they were Rigel’s world! Though we will focus more on Rigel herself.
Pierre & Rigel got married and had 2 kids! Lara and Levi! Pierre is local fisherman 🐟 and Rigel is a baker 🍞.
Tumblr media
Lara is Pierre’s daughter, he loves her so much. Because he gone fishing a lot, he’ll spoiled her when he got times!

Any Teen Dusk and Dawn interactions?
Dawn
“You made a very grave error coming here boy…” the vampire said, smiling as he and his brethren surrounded the boy.
Dawn smirked towards them, and held one hand up. “Nah, the only one who made the mistake is you. You really shouldn’t have come to this town. I know you bloodsuckers have to feed to survive and all that, but chowing on innocent people is a serious no go, and as the future king of Avalon I can’t have that, ya know?” he asked.
The vampire chuckled. “What an arrogant little brat you are. What exactly makes you think you can stand against us?” he asked.
Dawn opened his hand. “Simple. You guys rise with the moon…” A bright ball of intensely hot magic suddenly formed above it, and the vampires hissed and shielded their eyes. “I rise with the sun…”
~~~~
“You understand right uncle Astro? I mean You were the right ruler for Mewni, and I’m the right ruler for Avalon,” Dawn said, laying on his back as he looked down at his uncle. “I know Rain is your favorite and junk, but c’mon.”
Astro crossed his arms as he looked up at his nephew. “You don’t want the throne Dawn…” he said, narrowing his eyes.
Dawn sat up. “What? Of course I do! I mean I-”
Astro cut him off. “A throne isn’t a seat, it’s a weight. I don’t want you or any fo your siblings to ever have to carry it. Just… enjoy being young,” he said, turning and walking off.
Dawn stared after him, confused. “Man, he can be so dramatic sometimes…”
~~~~
“So, who’s the alpha twin between the two of you?” the young goddess asked.
The Twilight Twins shared a look. “I’m stronger,” Dawn pointed out.
“I’m smarter,” Dusk countered.
“Yeah… well, I’m better looking,” Dawn said, smirking. Dusk smirked back, and the two shared a chuckle.
Dusk
“You arrogant gods think you can just tower over everyone else,” the titan snarled, glaring as he held his injured arm. “What gives you the right to-”
Dusk sighed, cutting him off. “Stop yapping at me already. I don’t care if you’re a titan, god, mortal, or anything else. I mean I’m the second least ‘godly’ in my family, so if you’re accusing someone of having a complex go find Dawn or Rain” he said, eyes glowing slightly.  “The only reason you’re about to bite the dust right now if because you bared your fangs at what’s important to me…”
Dusk could let a lot of things slide, but attempts on his family? Never. He could wipe out every single threat that set foot on this island, and he’d make sure his brothers and sister were none the wiser.
~~~~
“You let your hair grow out too long again,” Calliste said, reaching up and brushing a finger over his bangs. “You said you’d be more mindful of that.”
Dusk sat in silence for a moment, and then looked away from the young goddess. “I’ve been busy…” It wasn’t a lie. He’d been running around doing so many tasks lately that it had slipped his mind. Not that she would cut him any slack for it.
“Turn around,” she said, summoning a small blade of water. “I’ll cut it.”
Dusk didn’t argue, and turned his back towards her as she moved behind him and began snipping his hair. He untensed and allowed himself to relax. He only ever seemed to be able to do so with her. “Thanks…”
“If you want to thank me, look after yourself. You can’t look after your siblings if you don’t take care of yourself first.”
~~~~
“C’mon, let me tag along!” DJ said, chasing after his brother.
“No, go home DJ,” Dusk said, sounding exhausted.
“But Dawn is coming with you right? I can be back up! I can-”
Dusk turned around towards him and glared. “Go. Home.”
DJ flinched, and then scowled. “Fine…” He turned and walked off, an obviously bitter expression on his face.
Dusk watched him go, and then sighed. He felt bad about shooing him away. He knew he just wanted to help and be useful. But he couldn’t bring himself to let him tag along on this one. Not with that he was doing.
He was too young to have blood on his hands…

Magic as Security in SVTFOE
Tumblr media
But magic isn’t an allegory for capitalism in Star versus the Forces of Evil. Besides the fact that a one-to-one allegory is boring (”I’ve always been looking for the quadruple entrende, what Shakespeare could do,” as Courtney Love says, and Shakespeare scholar and literary beacon, Marilynne Robinson has said as much in interviews), it just doesn’t make sense as a direct allegory. The show’s observations about financial situations were actually pretty direct: Rich pigeon’s character and his kingdom’s quick rise in Mewni society is clearly not hiding the show’s thoughts about capital power (and it’s actually one of the more nuanced takes on capitalism, without ever endorsing it). But Star and her family are part of a feudal system, not a capitalist one. The writers have something else up there sleeves, at once more relevant to their young teen audience and more all-encompassing of a kyriarchical structure than a simple take-down of capitalism.
Instead, the whole show starts to cohere when you see magic metaphorically standing in for a sense of security. It may seem like I just made my own one-to-one allegory, but the way it’s applied in the series is anything but some pat moralistic offering. In the first season, the influx of magic serves to free Marco, “the safe kid,” from his rampant anxiety. In fact, Star and her magic early on, when read as a metaphor for security, serve to distinguish security from safety. Marco’s desire to be always prepared but never in danger is radically flipped by fiery rainbows, laser puppies, and giant monster squirrels. He has to make peace with chaos and trust (that is feel secure) in his abilities to accept the unpredictable nature of his new reality, find means to respond to the chaos (rather than avoid it), and get through to the other side of his efforts and often pain. Cartoon logic of course helps with his survival but the theme of developing the emotional security to face one’s problems stands pretty sturdy.
This idea of security evolves with the show to depict the role fear and safety play in constructing gender roles and racial hierarchies--and how the gift of emotional security can allow exploration and disruption of these prejudices. It’s infinitely queering (an aspect that the show explores in many, many ways). I want to point out here how integral security and imagination are to one another. The well of magic is a source of comfort for Star, eventually for Marco, and for many other characters who get to be close to it, in the way it explodes and rejects norms to privilege an individual’s emotional landscapes, which then find unique manifestation in their spells.
Tumblr media
How does something so beautiful eventually go wrong, then? One place to look for an answer is the council, who manage imprisonment, travel, and time-space. The first two, have a pretty clear parallel to contemporary institutions--prison systems and immigration--that purport to provide security, and in many ways, do, for the members of their nation. Time-space might be harder to parse out, except that when we consider that Father Time is a distinct entity from time-space. Time-Space is not time itself but the concept and practice of alternative realities and multiple chances, as seen in the “Mathmagic” episode. It’s a similar philosophical belief to many afterlife concepts. All of these systems privilege the Self and provide emotional security, but do so at the cost of others’ liberties. Capital, as it is now, functions along those lines, which is why I think many made the connection between magic and capital; it’s not wrong, but it’s not broad enough--we named it a square but didn’t acknowledge that a square is also a rectangle and a quadrilateral.
When magic is destroyed in the end, the rulers of Mewni gave up security. They give up security in their own safety, the safety of their people, and assurances of happiness and life, itself. Required for this act: trust and emotional security. It’s the paradox at the heart of the show that magic is required to destroy magic. Emotional security is required to let go of emotional security. On the other side is a more dangerous and strange world but where everyone is in peril together, and doing their best to address it together, too.
There are deeply queer feminist , democratic, antiracist, and globalist implications to this conclusion that got drowned out by shippers in the fandom. And many, perhaps invested in a grassroots-led and enacted revolutionary movement, were turned off by the finale and turned on the show overall because of it. (Others have complaints about rushed pacing, which is funny to me in a show whose core humor relied on manically-paced jokes and plot lol) But more narratives of revolution, especially one’s that acknowledge anticolonial struggles, like Andor, are beginning to acknowledge the solidarity across groups and classes historically required to ignite change (and svtfoe, with it’s references to the Mexican revolution among others, which I wanna address in some later essay, certainly fits in this category). The world at the end of the series will never be the same, which is a revolutionary promise without the fantasy of utopia. It’s gonna get a little weird and a little wild, and we can figure it out together.

Ooo so what's the difference between a Wraith and a regular Ghost?
Well, for starters they're the Ghost equivalent to Titans. There's a power hierarchy in the Ghost Zone just like Mewni and Earth.
Shades are the weakest Ghosts, little form to them and are your generic Ghosts like the Ecto-pusses, Cujo, the Ghost Animals from Vlad's cabin in the woods.
Spirits make up the majority of the Ghost Zone populace, with your standard Ghosts like the BOX GHOOOOOOOST!, all the Ghosts Desiree created (Femalien, Terminatra Nightmerica), Sydney Poindexter, Lunch Lady.
Phantoms are the other majority of the populace. Way stronger, more variety, and the likes of which are most of Danny's classic rogues: Skulker, Desiree, Spectra, Ember, and Fright Knight to name a few.
Wraiths are akin to Titans and are the top dogs of the Ghost Zone. Y'know, real powerful guys like Nocturne, Vortex, Undergrowth, Frostbite, Clockwork.
Then, of course, there's the ruler of the Ghost Zone. Pariah Dark during the present time, Envie in the future AU. There's no real fixed title. Pariah's called the Ghost King, "Tyrant Dark," King of the Ghost Zone. Envie chose "God Queen" to supplant Pariah's previous titles. Most call her that title. Most.

One thing I always find weird is how much people seem to treat it like fact that Skywynne was pressured to have Solaria by the people of Mewni because they didn’t want Jushtin to be ruler after her.
Because I read the Magic Book of Spells, and I always felt like Skywynne had gotten pregnant with Solaria on purpose....because while she did love Jushtin, I’m sure, she realized she couldn’t trust him with the book after he apparently left it in a bin where they dump the waste from the warnicorns in the stable. And Skywynne’s own chapter makes it clear how much she cares about the Spellbook, both the one that burned when she was supposed to get the Wand, as well as the one we all know, which she actually created.
So, I really do think she decided to have another child in the hopes of it being a girl, because that meant she’d have the Book back for almost another fifteen years, and, in her eyes, that meant the book would be safe.

How many TWST x Pokemon requests do you have in your inbox? Furthermore, what would the government in MC's world do when they captured the Heartslabyul quintet, Savanaclaw trio, Octavinelle trio, Scarabia duo, Pomefiore trio, Ignihyde duo, Diasomnia quartet and Grim? Along with what happened to MC after that? Are they going to rescue their friends themselves or did they get captured along with them due to their friendship with them?
This is old and I'm gonna keep it brief.
Twst x Pokemon requests: Too many and I keep getting more. I've hit a bit of a writer's block with twst x pokemon stuff, so I haven't been updating like I wish I would. I am trying to write some twst stuff unrelated to the twst x pokemon au, however.
For the second question, I'm assuming you're talking about the in-game MC and not the Pokemon MC. I like to think that Twisted Wonderland and MC's World would merge together like Mewni and Earth did in the final of Star vs The Forced of Evil.
MC would definitely become some sort of political figure, being the only Earth World Person to know anything about Twisted Wonderland and having close relationships with several important and influential people in Twisted Wonderland, such as the second Prince of the Sunset Savana, the successor to the Al-Asim Family, famous model and actor Vil Schonehiet, the future ruler of the Vally of Thorns/One of the top most powerful mages in Twisted Wonderland, the headmaster of one of the most prestigious magic schools, etc, etc...
Not to mention a fire-breathing cat that only listens to them.
I know for a fact people would freak out and tension would be high on both sides, which is why MC would be the perfect mediator between the two worlds. They are NRC's Beast Tamer, after all.
Like I said, MC has a relationship with several important people built upon respect and trust and those people are willing to listen to MC while the Earth World people wouldn't have much of a choice but to depend on them.
But that's just my view on it. I also think it depends on what country the MC is from (I'm American) and who their leaders are.

•[Toffee’s Timeline]•
It’s Been Five Years Since The Battle For Mewni
That means it’s been five years since Toffee died. In honor of his memory (and because he’s the protagonist of my AU), I present to you all his timeline (with as little spoilers as possible)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Note: Septarians age a lot differently than Mewmans and other monsters, so keep that in mind when reading—
** Continue Reading for Detailed Timeline **
Tumblr media
Baby/Child Toffee, ~0-11
Torrence was hatched during the reign of Skywynne, Queen of Hours, to his mother Mylanie. Mylanie is expanded upon in a previous post but to put it simply, she’s a peacemaker who is one of the only Septarians hoping and striving for peace with Mewmans. From the very beginning, Mylanie encouraged her son to exercise his mind and prioritized intelligence over the brute force and strength that other Septarians (*cough*Seth*cough*) seemed to consider all was needed to succeed.
As a child he was incredibly shy around people and tended to stay close to his mother, but when it was just the two of them he flourished with curiosity and it was clear from the beginning that he was a quick learner and incredibly smart.
As he got older he began to gain his own independence, though still incredibly close to his mother. He maintained beliefs reflecting hers, but was still incredibly young and hadn’t fully grasped the situation at hand. Consistently witnessing how opposed the viewpoints between his mom and the Septarian ruler’s were, despite the two being friends.
I could go into more but honestly there’s a lot here so I’m going to continue—
But… Torrence was edging 13 when his mother died.
Tumblr media
Braid/Best Friend Toffee ~13-15
At age 13 after Mylanie’s death, Torrence met the Princess of Mewni, Eclipsa, when she was 11. While weary of her at first, being brought up in a peacemaker’s home caused that weariness to quickly fade. The two became fast friends, achieving the title of each other’s best friend incredibly quickly. They were each other’s Star and Marco, except they maintained their best friend status and it never turned romantic.
Eclipsa’s even the one who coined the nickname Toffee, calling him nothing but and using it as an affectionate nickname for her bestie.
Now this is the part where I step in as the creator and put a big ol’ SPOILERS tag on this babyyy because the details are expanded upon ✨later✨. But basically after Eclipsa is crowned the two distance… and eventually fall out… and it’s bad. Really bad. Eclipsa is a huge factor in all of Toffee’s… well you know.
Tumblr media
Bad Boy Toffee, ~17-20
So THIS is a redesign of the Toffee we saw in Meteora’s lesson, really dipping deep into that hardcore bad boy aesthetic. Honestly the show adding this aspect of him brought loads to his character.
Now don’t get me wrong, he does NOT like Seth in my AU, at all, and does not respect him, but because Seth was friends with his mother, he and his sister took him in after her passing, AND Seth really appealed to his hurt regarding the aftermath with Eclipsa and fed into it (turning that hurt and sadness into bitterness and anger), Toffee subconsciously bought into that belief system without even realizing how starkly he was changing.
He also rejected the nickname Toffee given to him by Eclipsa (bc he hates her), and went back to being called Torrence around this time (except when Glossaryck ruined it), but I’m going to keep calling him Toffee for simplicity
Honestly bad boy Toffee is so fun but again this is a timeline overview and everything will be given in more detail
Tumblr media
Historian Toffee, Early 20’s
In Daron’s AMA she stated that Toffee was a historian that researched magic and the Butterfly Family like no other. That’s still true, and here’s where that time as a historian comes into play. He takes a break from being in the military or whatever and pours his soul into this plan he has.
Due to being (ex)friends with Eclipsa, he knows all about Mewni Castle’s secret tunnels and uses them constantly to “borrow” books from the library. He not only wants to verify what Eclipsa told him in youth (The Whispering Spell, other magical traditions, etc), but also learn new information to perfectly enact his plan.
Tumblr media
General Toffee & Canon Toffee Mid-late 20s
The Toffee we knew from the show, the lizard we know and love. Obviously, he reclaimed the name Toffee during this time and began using it as his name. I don’t think going into detail with this section is warranted but I do have a lot of backstory as to what happened with Comet and such (which again, Spoilers) and just his overall mentality and motivations during the events of the show. Here’s one thing though:
After being humiliated by Moon in front of his troops, he not only permanently retires from his title as a general but straight up leaves Septarsis entirely, and planned to never show his face there again, even after he got revenge against Moon and completed the plan he started so long ago.
And yeah I don’t have to explain Canon Toffee,, the lawyer businessman as he is 💕. Just in case the late 20’s is confusing, the way he dresses and styles himself makes him look a lot older (35 or something) but in actual Septarian development (for my AU obviously none of this is canon) I’d say he’s around 27-28.
Tumblr media
As of right now in present day, Toffee is still basically dead. Trapped in this half dead state because not everything of him was destroyed, inside a jar tucked away in Star’s closet to prevent him from regenerating and causing more trouble.
Ovelia Dragonfly, the secondary protagonist of the Septarsis-Dragonfly AU, being the eccentric collector she is found the jar and asked Star if she could keep it,, WHICH IS IT’S OWN COMIC but I’m not entirely through with Ovelia yet.
This is so so out of order, I haven’t finished the buildup to Ovelia finding the jar yet but hey, today is July 15th, the anniversary of the Battle for Mewni, I just had to post something Toffee related on the five year mark of his death.
Thank you Toffee for being my favorite character in all of media, you are deeply missed.

Years ago, back in 2016, I wrote a quick blurble on why "SVFOE" is better than James Cameron's "Avatar." Both deal with the plot of an indigenous people colonized and oppressed ("Star's" Monsters, "Avatar's" N'avi), but "Star" handles it in a far better, more complex way.
Tumblr media
Here, "Monster" is a broad definition referring to any inhabitant of Mewni whose ancestors were displaced by the original Mewmens (Humans implied to be the lost Roanoke colony.) There are countless "races", from bird types to frogs to mix and match and those that defy description. Some have managed to rise above their Monster status by treaties with the Mewmens and acquiring wealth, such as Rich Pigeon and his parents, or, as with the Avariuses, being placed as puppet rulers under Mewmen control. Most Monsters however, live on the fringe of society, doing whatever they can to survive. As Buff Frog puts it, "[...] Mewmens have corn while Monsters are starving."
The N'avi...well, imagine The Rainforest Cafe decided they needed their own tribe. They are Spiritual, with a capital S, and not only can they paint with all the colors of the wind, they can do it while riding a motherfucking dragon. They have no need for all the material trappings of your shallow, phone loving society. They're so Spiritual, even their trees are Spiritual. Of course, being Better Than You in every conceivable way doesn't mean they don't need Mighty Whitey Jake Sully to step in and save them when the tanks start arollin'.
Tumblr media
The colors of the wind only come in blue.
"Avatar" places all the blame for the N'avi's oppression on the Big Bad Military, who are xenophobic, and the Big Bad Corporation, who just want money, and while this has historic truth, the average moviegoer can't relate to them. As presented, they're as far removed from reality and cartoonishly evil as Cruella Deville. The poor scientists just want to Science but are powerless against the all mighty dollar and tanks. Notice that all of this is being delivered with the subtlety of a taser to the genitals.
"Star" on the other hand, puts the whole Mewni system to task. The Magical High Commission are pulling the strings, Solaria waged a genocidical war, but in the end, it's systemic oppression keeping most Monsters in what we see is dire poverty and near starvation. Attitude of Mewmans towards Monsters is generally bigoted and ranges from apathetic to hostile to (in Mina's case) homocidal.
Back in "Not The Good Avatar"...
Tumblr media
The OTHER one...
Jake Sully just happens to convenience his way onto the planet and into the plot by way of dead twin. Up until this point, he has been completely divorced from the colonization of Pandora, save for his connection to his Good Guy Scientist Brother. He has had no responsibility in or benefit from the settlement of the planet at the expense of the indigenous N'avi...
UNLIKE STAR. Star is not only a princess, Star is a princess of a world that once belonged to Monsters before the first Mewmens, including her ancestors, wiped most of them out and took their land. Furthermore, Star is only a princess because the true heir, a half-monster half-Mewmen child, was deposed and Star's fifth-great grandmother was swapped in her place. Star has benefited from Mewni's colonization and systematic racism since before she was even born.
Before Jake lucks into getting a tribe invite, partly by stupidity and partly by a sign from the local deity, he knows nothing about the N'avi. They're blue, tall, and paranoid about outsiders is the extent of his knowledge. He's perfectly blasé about possibly betraying an entire race for the chance to permenantly fix his legs.
Tumblr media
It's going to take awhile.
Of course, after bonding with the tribe and becoming one with nature and becoming one with the Chief's daughter (in an entirely different way), Jarhead has the inevitable change of heart and must step up to be the Big Damn Hero and a true N'avi leading the charge against the military.
Star knows about Monsters, or at least she thinks she does. That's the whole point. Star was raised from birth to believe that Mewmens conquering the Monsters was justified and, well, Monsters are stupid and gross anyway. Hell, Mewni has an entire day reenacting the slaughter and conquest of the indigenous by the original Mewmens. But we see Star slowly start to peel away at the onion of her indoctrination, starting with that holiday.
Jake becoming the Mighty Whitey Savior of the N'avi rings hollow. He agreed to betray them for a chance for legs, but he's not ultimately responsible for Pandora's colonization. He hasn't benefited from it. He's not making amends for the sins of the father. He's an outsider who had the right DNA.
When Star finally starts to learn about Mewni's past, she begins working on her own to make amends, even eventually giving up the Butterfly's claim to the throne. She plans parties to bring Monster and Mewmen teenagers together in hopes of forging unity. She, the girl who in season one thought it was fun to bust Monsters, now advocates for Monsters' rights. Because it's the right thing to do. Because racism against Monsters ruined Eclipsa, Globgor, and Meteora's lives. Because Star's ancestors stole their home and murdered millions, but inevitably also put her in a position to try and fix it.
Both characters, Jake and Star, go through hell before their happy endings, but whereas Jake gains everything, Star mostly loses. She loses her title, her crown, her kingdom, and her magic. But what does she get? The beginning of a better world, and Marco. And in the process, she almost loses Marco.
Jake agrees to infiltrate the N'avi for intel in exchange for new legs, but ends up switching sides. One could argue this is character development, but really, why wouldn't he eventually switch? General Scar Sweat (I don't know nor care about his name) promised him legs...
Tumblr media
"Trust me."
But with the N'avi, Jake not only gets a new body, he gets a dragon, hot N'avi booty, adventure every day, and gets to be the new Grand Poohbah. Sure that's because he inadvertently helped kill the old one, but whatever. Jake rode a special Dragon and made a speech, he's Chief now.
Will I see "Avatar 2: Secret of Blue Water" when it finally comes out? Not on purpose, but I'm sure my mom will want to stream it eventually. Because her taste is basic and she actually thought the first one was deep...
Tumblr media
So to her, the pretty CGI and preteniousness masquerading as A Big Important Message will be like dangling car keys in front of a toddler's face.
But to me, "SVTOE" will always be the better story, with better characters, better writing, and better development. Jake Sully starts as a jarhead. He ends as a jarhead who can ride dragons. Star starts as a hyper immature spaz, and ends as a warrior, an advocate, a civil rights leader, and even though she may have relinquished her title, someone who is worthy to be called Queen.

The falling star of SVTFOE OT 1- the eclipsing of potential.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ua-ANnAVLjA&t=4185s
now before I begin I would like to address this video, it’s a very well made video and honestly I’d highly recommend you watch it- maybe even before or after reading this? I agree with a lot of what he said other than the parts regarding the one and only Eclipsa.
Tumblr media
Now I know I’m going to get Flammed for this- because a lot of people believe that during the most darkest and dreary parts of this show- eclipsa ironically was the saving Grace- and I’d agree, because she was the one and only thing that seemed to remind you that you weren’t only watching this show for the terrible shipping but for the actual plot?? But then I’d also disagree because- wait for it- Eclipsa was technically the worst thing to happen to this show.
Tumblr media
Now lower your pitchforks please- and let me explain.
Let’s go back to the good old days when svtfoe could be considered good, now shall we? Yeah I mean like season 2. Star and Marco were tolerable and their relationship was pretty well written. Star, being the free spirited child she was, had this persistant worry about the loss of her freedom when she became queen which was honestly? Quite reasonable to have. Being a queen is a huge responsibility- as you now become the ultimate servant and leader to your people. There really won’t be time for mistakes or adventures so star’s anxiety at entering this new phase of life was a really interesting perspective, and the message of her becoming a queen that could best serve her people in her own way was also a really good message to. Nowadays when kids grow up they might feel heavily pressured by society to get a reasonable job, settle down, anything done outside of the norm isn’t usually received well. So the message of telling star- yeah you have to grow Up, but you can still do it in your own way, while handling your responsibilities was a really nice message! Especially when you realized that other queens of Mewni had their own ways of ruling. Maybe star could look to them for guidance or inspiration? Maybe she’d want to set a completely new path while learning how to balance out her responsibility! I was really waiting to see how it would play out- heck they even fully addressed it in an episode! In addition to this, we had the whole plot point of Marco being possibly evil, and Toffee’s plan slowly but surely shaping up to be huge...IT HAD A LOT OF POTENTIAL-
until...it didn’t.
Enter in one of if not the worst plot twists of all time. Eclipsa and Meteora.
Tumblr media
Now you can argue them not making eclipsa evil was an original/good thing and I’d say sure- fair- BUT. Them making eclipsa the rightful ruler essentially rendered Star’s whole crisis of being a good ruler while being true to herself ultimately pointless- she could easily just hand off the crown- because it wasn’t hers to begin with. What was the point of giving star that plotlines if it didn’t matter in the end? Heck what was the point of showing Moon being a good queen at the beginning of at the end she easily tossed it all away and suffered massive character assassination???
And the worst part of this- was the terrible racism analogy between monsters and mewmans. Monsters do not make good comparisons to POCs especially ones that can easily suck your soul out. In fact remember the plot line that The show told you involved globgor actually committing many atrocities against the spider folks? Then it conveniently dropped it? Yeah I do too. The fact that Eclipsa chose love over her responsibilities as a ruler for someone who’s committed a lot of crimes against mewman’s political allies should at the very least make the people suspicious and mistrusting of her. But instead the show rights this off as cool, and quirky and brave- while writing off anyone who didn’t like her as one dimensional racists- like what??? There are legitimate reasons for the mewmans to not trust eclipsa. Ones that DO NOT INVOLVE RACISM. ((Globgor was such an atrocious let down too)).
Tumblr media
One of the worst parts about Eclipsa returning, and not being evil was how it killed soooo many potential plot points/purpose of so many things. Don’t get me wrong- a lot of GREAT things were dropped- but these were so bad..
What was the point of showing Moon being a responsible queen if it didn’t matter?
Tumblr media
What was the point of Star struggling with the idea of her upcoming responsibilities if it didn’t matter?
Tumblr media
What was the point of THIS if it didn’t mater?!?!?
Tumblr media
Or THIS?!
Tumblr media
In fact what was the point of teaching about the power of responsibility if you were ironically going to reward the least responsible character in the show??? Sure you can argue- she showed great responsibility when she was willing to kill Meteroa for Mewni- but I’d actually argue that having her take back the crown, after seeing what she did to Moon, and then later put aside her responsibilities to save her husband (who was said committed a lot of monstrosities against the spiderbite folk mind you), is just...not right. And ironically Eclipsa wasn’t the worst offender of this.
Tumblr media
Her daughter, also easily one of the worst characters of the show, Meteora- who drained multiple princesses for their life force to stay young while making others miserable for a living- went on a huge genocidal rampage through mewni- against innocent people- for the throne- and all she got was a reset in life, where she’s now in line for the throne.....
Tumblr media
So she essentially got rewarded for committing massive genocide! Great lesson to teach kids SVTFOE! Really nice!
Tumblr media
She’s arguably worse than Toffee when you think about it, yet only one of them get their full comeuppance- which is ironic because the one who was right ended up dying the brutal death.
Ironically, Eclipsa could’ve been both right, and the villain?? If she had been a villain, I would’ve called her one of- if not the best, American animated villains. Why? Well to start- a lot of the things seemed to be really coincidental- like her just happening to have a spell that would kill an immortal (for no particular reason) that would just so grant her, her freedom. For someone who’s like “lol I’m not that evil” she has a lot of dark spells (one for invading someone’s privacy, and a bunch for just flat out KILLING people)- and her messages/advice to Star when struggling to deal with her power from her mewberty form was...questionable to say the least- she’s someone who seems to operate without consideration of responsibility- but that doesn’t mean that she’s not a schemer...
Some of the best villains or antagonists in fiction, are those that are usually right in some shape or form, that end up challenging the protagonist’s whole pov. Eclipsa could’ve been that.
Eclipsa’s whole point of running away could’ve been tied to Toffee- maybe you could’ve had her whole plot be the fact that she was a long term planner, who wanted to fight monster racism- a good goal, in the less than moral way possible. Maybe she had pulled some strings in the background that, if the show had actually acted on the potential of Marco becoming an evil monster that joined Toffee’s side- or Toffee becoming something monstrously powerful- could’ve forced monsters and mewmans to work together against a united goal, showing that there was potential for the species to equally co-exist and work together- something that Eclipsa had realized a long time ago, but realized that she wouldn’t be the one to be the catalyst for such revolution- but she knew that someday, somehow there would be a potential princess who would, she just needed to ensure the right actions would lead to the right results. Would it be cliche? Yeah, but it would’ve been a lot better than flat out character assassination, untied plot ends, and MASSIVE GENOCIDE.
Tumblr media
Also speaking of the massive genocide, meteora and eclipsa- can we talk about that for a show that wants to be ‘complex’ when addressing social issues- it really seemed to ignore a lot of social issues in and of itself? It’s like racism is the only issue that anyone in this show cares to address.
No, like really- think about it.
Some of the mewmans live really really terribly- there’s clearly a caste system there, but it’s just passed off as comedy....why doesn’t it bother anyone??? Is poverty just not that important???
Some of the characters like Mina, and Moon, are clearly dealing with the trauma of their past- Mina who’s the victim of propaganda, and PTSD, has literal magic driving her crazy. But it’s usually passed off a joke and never further developed. The fact that Solaris, who is largely responsible for inventing such magic responsible the monstrocitity of a final we got- had the audacity to glare at someone who she, herself- recruited via BLATANT PROPOGANDA, and has suffered because of Solaris more than anyone else is disgusting.
Tumblr media
The journal pretty clearly depicts Solaris as a genocidal racist to- so am I the only one missing the ten character arcs of development that she must’ve underwent to love Meteora?  If it was in the journal, then that’s just terrible writing, because the watcher shouldn’t have to look for outside material when watching a tv show.
Moon, who had her mother killed by Toffee, the same man- who literally steals her soul, caused the death of council member, and almost killed her own daughter. Imagine dealing with that, she was so distraught when she saw Toffee, who she thought killed Star, she could barely think right. How come her trauma is never addressed or talked about???
Tumblr media
Now I’ll admit, I don’t like Steven Universe, it’s far from perfect with it’s delivery at times, but at least- it could address multiple issues with mental health, social issues and a caste system. It at least could address it’s internal and external character plot lines.
This show? The second half of it? Eh no.
Tumblr media
(Ironically his earth friends leaving was a great analogy for all of the potential for the show to be awesome dissipating in the later half of this show)
Also can we talk about the fact that for a show that seems to speak out against racism so much- how come when Toffee wanted to destroy magic it was bad, but when Star does it, it’s good? Isn’t that a little racist in and of itself?
Other plot points that were also rendered pointless by this stupid twist:
Tumblr media
SMH THEY REALLY WASTED PATRICK STUMP’S TIME LIKE THIS!!!
The awesome ballad of star butterfly (song doesn’t matter because star isn’t even the real future queen, little miss genocidal maniac is)

My Star VS The Forces Of Evil Spell Combos
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ok. Here I’ll be going over my Star VS The Forces Of Evil spell combos. As shown in the Solaria The Monster Carver chapter of The Magic Book Of Spells, combining spells is able to be done since Queen Solaria was able to combine 3 different spells to turn people into Solarian Warriors. So, it’s possible to combine other spells from the past rulers of Mewni too. With that out of the way, let’s dive right in.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
First off, here’s a combination between Queen Skywynne’s Infuriating Repeater spell and her granddaughter Queen Eclipsa’s All-Seeing Eye spell. As stated in the Skywynne The Queen Of Hours chapter, the Infuriating Repeater spell has the power to reverse time and, as shown in the episode ‘Bon Bon The Birthday Clown’, the All-Seeing Eye spell has the power to allow someone to spy on anyone no matter where they are. So, I think that these 2 spells combined together would make a spell that can see anything that happened in the past. I think a spell like that can be very useful. And I also think it can be used to see into the past and find out about all the spells the queens before Queen Skywynne came up with.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Next, here’s a combination between Queen Festivia’s Host-Me spell and her daughter Queen Crescenta’s Levitato spell. As stated in the Festivia The Fun chapter, the Host-Me spell gives a person a lot of energy and, as stated in the Crescenta The Eager chapter, the Levitato spell levitates things and moves them around. I think that when those 2 spells are combined, they would make a spell that gives a person super speed. After all, speed is all about energy and movement. And, as already pointed out, the Host-Me spell gives a person a lot of energy and the Levitato spell moves things around.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here’s a combination between Queen Skywynne’s Warnicorn Stampede spell and her son Prince Jushtin’s Wings spell. As shown in the episode ‘By The Book’, the Warnicorn Stampede spell is, as the name implies, a spell that summons a stampede of warnicorns that will help take down the opponent. And, as stated in the Jushtin The Uncalculated chapter, the Wings spell is a spell that gives a horse wings. So, I think that when those 2 spells are combined, it would summon a stampede of warnicorns who have wings. After all, since warnicorns are pretty much horses, the Wings spell might work on them too. Also, a stampede of warnicorns with wings would not only be able to take down enemies on the ground but also enemies in the sky as well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here’s a combination between Queen Comet’s Nightshade Disarm spell and Queen Moon’s Wand Whip spell. As stated in the Comet The Chef chapter, the Nightshade Disarm spell can disarm opponents. And, as shown in the Moon The Undaunted chapter, the Wand Whip spell has the power to change the Royal Magic Wand itself and turn it into a magical whip. So, when those 2 spells are combined, they might not only disarm the opponent but also take their weapon sorta like lassoing it like a whip and absorb it into the Royal Magic Wand. And once the weapon is absorbed, the Royal Magic Wand will turn into a magical version of that weapon.
Well, that’s all for this post.
See you all next time.

After graduating from metaverse school, what will Nar, Rosa, and Phoebus be doing with their life? Will they take the duty as rulers of their own kingdom?
i mean the school was mostly a safe place to stay at and learn life skills that would help them later in life but initialy their endgame would e Nar rulling new mewni in a new era of peace, for Phoebus a wandering freelance singer and Rosa is still an unchecked box, either queen of the underworld or working elsewhere

Does Rosetta, Astro, and Nia have tapestries like the other rulers?
Do you mean in general or within the wand?
If it's in general then Rosetta doesn't since they she was never actually in line to rule Mewni. It wasn't really her style either. Nia and Astro both have one, Nia from when she was younger, and Astro when he became king. (He accepted getting one as a formality, and he's not big on a some of the more super traditional roles of being on the throne).
Within the wand only Nia does since she's the only one who really used it. Astro's barely even touched the thing and he doesn't have much of a connection to it, and Rosetta's only ever studied it, not used it.
This might be a cool thing to commission later though.

Eclipsa from Star vs The Forces of Evil.
Send Me a Character
First impression: She is evil, I don't trust her much
Impression now: I stand my queen, she is the best ruler Mewnie could've have
Favorite moment: When she and Globgor were singing, that was so sweet
Idea for a story: I wish to know how she met her husband and how was relationship with her mom growing up
Unpopular opinion: Not unpopular opinion but more of a rant on how on earth there is people who ship her with a clearly teen boy, thats gross and straight up wrong
Favorite relationship: With Globgor and her daughter (cute famly vibes) and with Star, even if she wasn't her great great granddaughter I find it adorable
Favorite headcanon: She never liked to be seen as a princess or act like one, but she'll suck it up for the sake of Mewnie; however she'll secretly will snuck up to see the monsters and give them resources to live
