The R-Lore #1: Ruppet

The beginning

In a faraway future, Romanius the 3rd who also goes by the name Roman(for simplicity, "Ruppet" for the rest of this page), had an interesting life.

He was the son of the latest "World President"(a title given to people, who manage and control all worlds in the universe), got interested in "Dark Magic"(prohibited magic, that can even make robots use magic), became "World President" at the age of 30, got married to a beautiful woman, and has born a daughter which was considered a child prodigy.

The tragedy

On the morning of July 15th 5638, a month before his 40th birthday, he awoke to find his family missing.

In the news, they've reported an accident of some kids from the biggest magic school on Earth practicing magic but accidentally killing two civilians...

His family...

Out of rage, he used Dark Magic and gave his robot army the command to "kill all of humanity".

Weeks later, 70% of humanity got killed and a teacher, of that school, confronted him to end it.

Banned into a mask

After a long magic fight, the magic teacher had the upper hand and sealed him into a mask, that then should've banned him to one dimension.

However, he countered the spell and changed it from "banned to one dimension" to "banned to ALL dimensions".

After landing in every dimension, all masks had now one goal: Destroying the original dimension and every other too

"Five Nights At Romans" and "Five Nights At Romans 2"

After billions of years, changing owner, switching through dimensions, and getting more enraged, Ruppet landed in to the hands of a losing fast food franchise owner(in the following simplified to "Owner").

After having a lot of hallucinations, the owner decided to wear Ruppets mask and got teleported to a new dimension, where his franchise survived and is also well known.

However, Ruppet had his own little plan.

One night, Ruppet decided to create masks with different paintings, that should look like his own.

But he didn't exactly know, how the paintings on his mask looks like so he needed test subjects to try them out...

And what would be better, then little children in his restaurant?

So, 11 children went "missing" and the animatronics, of the main restaurant and its subsidiary, had a foul odor.

And Ruppet was not pleased with the results.

"Five Nights At Zees"/"FNAR3"

30 years after the children got missing, a horror attraction got build with a spare suit, that was meant either for the employees to be used or to put an animatronic inside, for the scares.

Ruppet applied as the phone guy but was curious about the suit...

Especially after the sudden foul smell inside.

Not long after that, it turned out that the suit was used by a "fused animatronic endoskeleton and a human" which gave Ruppet an interesting idea.

"Five Nights At Romans 4"

40 years after the "missing children incident", Ruppet was annoyed of his downstairs neighbor watching TV at night.

To "teach them a lesson" he decided to build horrifying animatronics, that should scare them to death.

What he didn't know is, that it was the son of his neighbors that watched at night.

After five terrifying nights, he got his peace and the nightly disturbances stopped...

"FNAR" Investigation Nights

20 years later, an investigation started to finally find out what caused the "MCI".

The team leader, who had to endure five nights of robotic terror, got information on who was responsible for the incident and went to all locations of "Roman Mazebear Entertainment" to end up at his old family house, where Ruppet was waiting.

After a "fight", the Owner put down the mask to reveal that he was the killer, he came from another dimension, and that he was the "leaders parallel self".

Right after this confession, the owner disintegrated to dust.

"Mikus Location" [reference to FNAFSL]

The mask, the owner wore, was put into the local museum but got stolen by a thief.

Of course, out of curiosity , he put on the mask and teleported to a new dimension.

He stood in front of a restaurant, which holds a factory where "RME" built their animatronics.

Ruppet was intrigued and continued with his previous plan.

One young girl, a joyful boy, and a young ballerina.... they all ended up in the new "Karakuri Animatronics".

However, the latest victim was too interested in Ruppets mask and ripped it off his face...

The little girl went around the factory and ended up in front of "Karakuri Miku", the animatronic with Ruppets first victim of the dimension, and out of anger got "scooped" by the animatronic...but put the mask on in the last few seconds of her life

"Final Nights At Romans"

Because Ruppet had somehow foreseen this, instead of getting crushed by the animatronic he turned himself into a program, then into a virus, and then infected all the animatronics and machinery.

He was back in a new body, he constructed himself but was stuck for the other security measure... "No vessel is allowed to leave this place without any human consent".

So, Ruppet sent out a job application for a "night-shift mechanic" and got a hit.

Five nights of leading them around. Five Nights of robotic terror again... And just one big scoop for a new appearance.

After he crawled into that lifeless body, he finally saw the paintings on his previous form...

He mass-produced the mask, added his "virus-self" into them, and planned his world domination for "A beautiful curtain call of this dimension".

About a year later, he finally created a portal (with the help of his possessed victims) and left the dimension.

New henchmen and a new body

Ruppet landed in a cartoonish looking place, haunted by ink beings.

he located the machine, that created those beings and dropped his "emergency mask" into it.

The ink machine produces the so-called "Ink Demon", based on the studios character "Bendy", and it was in Ruppets full control.

The Ink Demon terrorized his previous maker but before Henry destroyed him, he got greeted by Ruppet.

Ruppet used him to create a new portal, but Bendy stopped him shortly for a promise.

"Hold on to this paper with the ink splatter. It will be the gateway of your destination and my home." Bendy said to Ruppet.

After jumping through the portal, Ruppet landed inside a video game and nearly got deleted by the "club president", Monika.

However, Ruppet quickly infected her and took over her body.

After some terrorizing of the player, he created another portal and landed on Earth...

An Earth, protected by the "Gods Heart"

The other Ruppets

Now, there're multiple Ruppets who have the same goal but are stuck with an obstacle..

One is still trapped in the RME factory... One tries to get rid of the "R-Force"... One, who has to atone for "his sins"...

And one is trapped inside a mod of the same video game...

No one knows, when they all meet.

No one knows, if they will ever meet.

And no one knows, if the person next to you is actually one of the infinite Ruppets.

The rules of Ruppet

There should be only ONE Ruppet in a dimension

Whenever a Ruppet travels to another dimension, the Ruppet already present in that dimension vanishes

All these rules also apply, when Ruppet just creates a portal to a dimension but someone else goes through it

“From Agassiz Correctional Camp: Camp Puppeteers entertain youngsters,”  THE CHILLIWACK PROGRESS, Wednesday, November 3, 1971. 3A. ---- The Camp Puppeteers were activated at the Agassiz Correctional Work Camp during July of this year. 

The Camp Superintendent, W. A. Hall, asked Cliff Sherlock, a former professional puppeteer and now a staff member at the camp, to form the group as a a therapeutic activity for the men. Since that time the club performed weekly shows for the Easter Seal Camp for crippled children at Chehalis during the summer months, the Agassiz Raspberry Social, the Chilliwack fall fair, and at several schools and community functions. 

On Sunday, they performed at the Kiwanis Halloween Party at the Chilliwack Armories before more than 400 youngsters. Because of the large crowd it was was necessary to put on two shows. 

The club consists of 15 men who are accompanied by three musicians from the camp when required. At present they have a repertoire of four plays with a further two plays in the process of being prepared for the Christmas season.

Several bookings have been accepted by the club within the upper Fraser Valley area tion. between now and Christmas, but they are still open for more engagements from any interested group or organization.

The men gladly donate their talents to any community social or charitable function but are also seeking private commercial engagements. 

Any person, business, community group or charitable organization wishing to contact The Camp Ruppeteers may do so by telephoning Superintendent Hall at Agassiz 796-2712 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday to Friday. 

CAMP PUPPETEERS entertain children Sunday with a Halloween skit at Chilliwack Armory at a children's' party sponsored by Chilliwack Kiwanis Club. Puppet show was staged by inmates from Agassiz Correctional Camp. Some 450 youngsters attended the affair,

Toaru Kagaku no Railgun T – 24 – Taking It Up a Notch

Once Doppelganger creates a giant concrete kaiju, my first question was “Why doesn’t Mikoto just do the same thing with metal?” She then smirks and proceeds to do just that, answering another question in the process: “What if Mikoto went pretty much ALL out?” Seeing the Railgun’s sheepish grin at the prospect of having to up her game a couple of notches, and then doing so, ranks right up there among her best and most badass moments.

Misaka Mikoto isn’t someone who isn’t sure about herself or her abilities; on the contrary, it’s almost scary how quickly she can power up to the point her colossal electro-iron-sand puppet is railgunning huge holes in Doppel’s rubble puppet (ruppet?). It’s just too bad the kaiju battle is a feint. Doppel’s true target is the stealth dataship, which she locates thanks in part to all the iron sand Mikoto sends into the atmosphere taking out all of the gas tanks Doppel tries to toss at the populated part of the city.

Things even get a bit Evangelion-esque when Doppel pulls out another party trick: the ability to spontaneously generate enormous masses of matter in a similar manner to slime molds and zombie ant parasites. She uses a gigantic clone of herself to grab hold of the airship and render it visible. At this point the real Kuriba Ryouko pleads with her mechanical double for just “two more months”, whereupon she’ll be able to eradicate her own soul and allow Doppel to take over her body fully.

The thing is, Doppel is no longer interested in Kuriba’s body, or in simply existing as an individual anymore. Kuriba falls off the airship, but the Scavengers chip in to locate and pluck her out of the air; Leader’s thank you to Mikoto for her earlier assistance. She uses her ability to serve as spotter for Mikoto as Doppel attacks her with more slime mold-esque clones.

Bottom line: Doppel wants revenge against humanity, beyond simply destroying her creator. By the way, she’s ready to do that and level the city thanks to rigging twenty huge fuel tanks in strategic locations. Having been taught emotions by the researchers, she can’t help but feel envy and hatred to humans.

Mikoto’s answer to this threat is to fire her Railgun directly at Doppel’s core body, but Leader ominously warns Mikoto—albeit too late—that there’s a problem with her line of fire. Doppel is consumed by the light from the railgun blast…but that’s as far as the episode takes us.

With a preview full of Railgun’s friends and frenemies, I imagine Doppel is either destroyed or otherwise neutralized—but we’ll see what cost is incurred as a result. Until then, this will go down in the annals of all-time best-looking duels, and as always it’s an absolute delight to watch Mikoto do her stuff.

The R-Lore #4: The Writer

How it began

In 2008, a just turned 10 year old boy in the small European country Austria was bored during his class, where he thought about "What if Sonic was in our world?" and thus his mind started racing. With this thought, he started something that lasted for many years.

The invaders and the group

Sonic, Tails, and Eggman appeared outside of his classroom and after a short fight, Sonic and Tails ran off.

When the boy went to sleep at his home, he interacted with Sonic and Tails (who turned themselves into his plushies) and got the idea to protect the world from Eggman (and potentially other villains) as a group.

About two years later, the boy read the 4th(?) issue of "Sonic der Comic"("Sonic the Comic") and came across the short comic "Mr. T and the T-Force". After a short read, he got the idea to name his imaginary group "R-Force", after his first name "Roman".

Many adventures and the " end" of the group

After 4 years filled with imagined adventures of the "R-Force", Roman decided to put a nice end to his group after "defeating his evil Twin brother called 'Böser Roman'('Evil Roman')".

The big finale between the R-Force, now filled with characters from different cartoons and video games, versus the "X", an organization filled with villains from cartoons and led by "Böser Roman"(shrotened to "BR") ended when Roman graduated middle school

The start of "The Adventures of Roman"

One day in 2013, after going home from computer class, Roman got the idea to make an anime... in his head.

The anime turned into a mix of "Guy gets isekaied to an anime" and "What if guy got superhuman powers, he had his whole life". In that anime, "Roman Mayr"(yes, a self-insert) was turned into the protagonist with a special gimmick that gives him "god-like" powers. At first, that gimmick was unnamed but after having the gimmick "out of his body" it was named "Emerald Heart", based on its appearance of a Chaos Emerald from the Sonic the Hedgehog series.

In another "episode", Roman replaced Yuzuru Otonashi (the male protagonist of the anime "Angel Beats") in his respected anime and during the story, his unnamed powers got the name "Scart Skills"(it would be actually "Guard Skills" but I misheard it in the anime as "Sguard Skils" and that turned into that name)

Many TAoR seasons later

Roman had a lot of fun to create his own anime in his head, but sadly the anime went much longer then expected... over 40 seasons with an unknown amount of episodes.

The second iteration

At one point, around the end of 2017/beginning of 2018, Roman decided to end his anime in a two-part movie. The first part is a "What happened after the final fight", where his grandson will find the girls from DDLC and learns about the R-Force(and everything that happened in those over 40 seasons), and the second, where his grandson has to face "Ruppet" who came into the original series after about 35 seasons.

After he imagined the two movies, Roman was still not satisfied to end it there. So he decided to make "TAoR 2.0", which consist of many MANY OVAs split into multiple timelines.

In one timeline, the R-Force became an intergalactic band who has to win a tournament to get the "Super Phantom Ruby"(the same Phantom Ruby from Sonic Forces, but much powerful to influence the whole universe), and in another, Ruppet became good but that triggered the destruction of the dimension and the main unit got kidnapped by the X a month before the dimension got extinct.

The third iteration

"TAoR Alternate" is Romans third version of his anime(and the current one), where in 2020(without COVID) he suddenly get visited by a succubus who he has to protect from the succubus hunter "Ruppet"(not the same Ruppet, he appeared later in the series) and then learn about his new heart. That version had not so many seasons, like the first one, but its timeline spans over one thousand years.

It started nearly the same as the first version, but many changes were made. For example, a new villain named "Kai"(the R-Force supercomputer "Ai" infected by Ruppets virus), "White"(he was actually always there since the first version... also he looks like Friagne from Shakugan no Shana but with the face of Sebastian from Black Butler... somehow), and lastly the destruction of Ruppet(he is now stored in a stone in his original dimension).

Currently, his successor "Mika"(with help of Charlotte Wilthsire, Scarlett Eyler, Henrietta "Anri" Warhol, and all nearly three thousand "Gods Hearts") has to face a new incarnation of BR, who has taken over hell and could be powerful enough, to eradicate the whole R-Force and the linage of the "Gods Heart".

The fourth iteration

Back in 2020, after looking for an artist and rigger for a new model, I needed to think of a background story for "him".

And that's when I decided to create this.

The fourth version of TAoR has started in January 2021 as an interactive experience. So, follow me as "The R-Man" and as "Ronika"(and also as Ruppet) in this version, where you have to either get R-Man back to his original dimension or let Ruppet loose onto this world.

More about that in the stream, that should've started by now.

we gotta see more of kaita/beth's world, like I would kill for a fleshed out webcomic about it

Perhaps one day. In the meantime, you can generally check out the masterlist for any robot characters that aren't merch mimics; while they all technically take place in the same world, Kaita and most robots exist more in the future where mega-corporations made the mistake of relying too much on automation, and wound up letting the robots come up with ideas to handle things like R&D and logistics, since it was essentially free labor and cheaper than hiring human talent.

This lead to the robots self-optimizing into hidden sentience and building their own offshore factory islands and mini-continents to "assist in manufacturing and shipping", before suddenly turning into independent cooperatives against the wishes and commands of their former owners upon gaining enough economic leverage. Kaita herself was not built by a corporation, but nonetheless wound up making her home on a large mechanical island made out of beached aircraft carriers in the pacific ocean known as Mecha Pacifica, a center of robot-culture and commerce where more quirky and human-like robots tend to live.

You can imagine there's a plethora of different politics and happenings in this setting, along with a kind of "wild west" aspect to Kaita traveling and shipping around the islands and finding out what kinds of factions run which areas. The biggest cooperatives don't fight each other, but smaller islands are sometimes like Rapture from Bioshock, with their own crazy groups of robots, humans, or genetic chimeras running things according to a variety of ideologies, and to varying degrees of success. Most have to trade with each other in some capacity though, so few places are truly lawless or purely anarchic.

Add the fact that mimics are in fact still a thing in this setting, and you have a literal sci-fantasy kitchen sink where i can just pull any type of character out of my ass and plop then down anyway I want into whatever setting I want, which is also why I can only at most provide snapshots into different parts of their world through smaller stories
