I made 3 new pairs of earrings! Hooray, let me know what you think. The 1st pair are prehnite with reticulated silver leaves. The reticulation happens at the whim of the torch flame so these are truly #ooak. The 2nd pair are textured copper rolled around freshwater pearls. The earring hooks are sterling. I love pairing rustic with refined. The 3rd pair are fun spirals fused to discs, because spirals are always my favorites. More adventures in ceramics, I've just listed a second bracelet that mashes up some salvaged vintage beads with my new ceramic beads including a toggle I made by pushing together dried poppy seed heads from the garden. For extra flair, there's a large multifaceted labradorite bead with pretty labradorescence and I've made a sari silk tassle using waste fabric diverted from landfill at manufacturing that flows from an unusual leafy bead cap. In the bottom photo: Cuffs hand forged from brass and copper. Etched with real ‘christmas’ ferns (aka Polystichum acrostichoides) that were respectfully and ethically harvested by me. These will also be available in my next shop update.

Just back from the wettest of dog walks but loved hearing the sound of heavy rain hitting the lane and hedges. Now cosy in my studio with a coffee and catching up on some new listings for my Etsy shop. The handpainted ceramic cabochon in my latest work was found as most of my lost treasures are, in a box among broken and forgotten objects. It was damaged on the edges, which I've fixed and I've gently polished out a grey scratch across the middle. The intriguing part of this miniature painting is that it is signed on the back J. Lennis Victoria B.C. 1984. Research online has revealed nothing about this artist. If anyone knows anything, I'd be grateful to hear. I wonder if it was brought back to England as a souvenir gift for a loved one. I love the dusky pink tones in the painting with green leaves and what I think might be Bunchberry flowers (happy to be corrected). I've given it a rustic prong claw setting on to a vintage Huntley & Palmer biscuit tin and it's carried by a chunky reclaimed glass bead necklace with hand made ceramic bead accents. At the base dangles more vintage salvaged glass and ceramic beads with a pottery leaf that I made with green glazes. There's something whimsical and romantic about this piece I think.
