1) the oscar and ozpin centric lighthouse au, it has a fic on ao3 right here! (by carbonated-fenwater)

2) ace's evil ozpin au, it has an ongoing comic right now if I wasn't on mobile I'd link it, but its made by (therewasntanythingtobeginwith)

3) the uhh robot ozpin au!!! and like oscar has to teach him Emotions. that was very sweet (by zacs-of-rwby)

4) broker oscar au (marrowgxld) morally gray oscar is such a treat to me!

5) blanket statement on most rwby modern aus, they can all get really fun and creative and I love to think about the rwby cast getting a Break for once in these with their concepts (bowl-of-shortness's art au, the musical theater au (bucketofbees), baker au etc.)

For any of your pre Fall fanfics, or Au where the Fall isn’t As bad an no seperation, what kinds of AU bullshit could you use to get any of the characters from Vol 4 onwards in Vale, here are some ideas:

Any of the 3 new villains: Watts, Tyrian, Hazel, IDK maybe have them do shit too instead of just Cinder.

Sienna Khan: She is at WF HQ in Mistral so IDK if you can remove her from there. If a character’s whole deal is very tied to a location then they might not be able to be a part of this.

Oscar Pine: He is Ozpin’s next reincarnation but IDK how/why he’d be at Beacon considering her’s a farm hand in Mistral. using Au bullshit to make Ozpin be able to KNOW who his next reincarnation will be seems cheap.

Klein Sieben: maybe after the Fall (whch for AU’s sake we’ll say isn’t as bad and Beacon isn’t taken over by Grimm) Jacques still comes by to pick up Weiss with Klein coming with as part of his staff.

same with Whitley, under the guise of “being worried for his sister”

Ghira and Kali: Ghira is chieftan of Menagerie so he can’t leave I bet, even if he’s worried about his daughter.

Corsaic and Fennec Albain: maybe they could be part of the WF invasion on beacon.

Ilia Amitola: same as the Albain brothers.

Leo Lionheart: fuck the “headmasters don’t travel with their sutdents for the Festival” which is just bullshit so they don’t need to have more charcters. But he’ll come with the Haven students.

Vernal: She’s Raven’s second in command but she can’t come all the way from Mistral because without someone back home Raven can’t portal back. So probabaly not very practical.

Yuma and Trifa: two side characters yes, but they’d be a part of the WF invason too.

Maria Calavera: I found an AU I love where she is approached by Ozpin to become a professor (now retired) after her eye situation, and she ends up mentoring Qrow and maybe adopting him. Just imagine Ruby having Maria as her grandma and all the cute moments we’d have.

Jinn: tied to the Relic of knowledge, which is locked in the vault, so nope.

Little Miss Malachite: She is supposedly the mother of the Malachite twins, so what if in this AU Junior is also their dad and outside of this “underground info broker” they have this family dynamic. With LMM not knowing how her husband and daughters can handle the loud thumping of a club. Plus it’d be funny to see Junior be a hen-pecked husband and having LMM be the scary one.

the Cotta-Arc family: they visit for the Vytal Festival. Let Jaune be cool in front of his big sister, sister-in-law, and his nephew.

Caroline Cordovin: I remember reading that Caroline, or at least her mech, was supposed to show up in the Breach. So just use that.

Red Haired Woman (who we all agree was either Pyrrha’s mom or Pyyrha reincarnated or something): once again, visiting family.

Most of the cast from RWBY After the Fall are all from Vacuo, so no.

Pietro Polendina: Have him be present so he can manage his daughter for fucks sake.

The Ace Ops: In the Vol 2 Op ironwood had some unmasked people by him, or at least people with unique appearances compared to his usual soldiers, so Ithought that he was going to have some kind of Elite Guard. So maybe the Ace Ops could fill that role.

Robyn Hill and her Happy Huntresses’ whole deal was the election in Atlas, so they can’t really exist outside of that setting and time.

Lemme know what you guys think could be done to have these later characters show up in the Vol 1-3 era?
