Two years ago, I was tagged in an ask game, and I stumbled upon it again so I decided now would be a good time to update it. This is for my own personal enjoyment, so if anyone wants to take it, it’s up for grabs. Q+A under cut because it’s a bit long.

How many works do you have on AO3?

72, with a 32 increase from last time, and so many more in my list of stuff to write. I am a slow bitch.

What's your total AO3 wordcount?

557,570, about a 200k increase from the last time.

How many fandoms have you written for and what are they?

BNHA, RWBY, Arcane/LOL, and Persona 5.

What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

Do you respond to comments, why or why not?

I don’t respond to every single one. I mostly respond to people who ask me questions about the fic or how I portrayed one character or another. I also respond to people who say something that wasn’t really on point with what I was trying to write (so small corrections here and there). I like talking to people about my writing but sometimes there’s just nothing to say.

What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending?

I don’t do unhappy endings, same as last time, however I will say my angstiest fic has changed from Luck Be a Fickle Thing (RWBY) to i’ve carved out a place in this world for two (Persona 5). How do you contend with the fact that someone you care about, possibly even fell in love with, is going to die and you know the exact time limit? You make a bucket list, of course. (I copped out though so he doesn’t actually die, but it’s still full of the sense of dread and impending doom of death approaching).

Do you write crossovers? If so what is the craziest one you've ever written?

The Quirk Archives is a BNHA/TMA crossover series and I wrote a RWBY one-shot that takes place in the Avatar The Last Airbender universe. Quirk Archives is definitely bonkers because of all the shit going on and I mostly forget about it until I look at my rotation. My answer hasn’t changed from last time and somehow I’m only halfway done with quirk archives.

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

Thankfully, (still) no. But I have had people asking me to take fics in specific directions and have had to politely decline. Stop doing this. You want something in a fic, either you commission me real money or write it yourself.

Do you write smut? If so what kind?

Yes I have! You know what that’s called? Growth!

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I know of.

Have you ever had a fic translated?

No.

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Me and @palpalbuddypal are in the process of making one!

What’s your all time favorite ship?

All the ships I write for hold places in my heart and I will love all of them no matter how much time has passed. That being said, shuake persona 5 has had me in a vice grip since I’ve finished playing royal so that’s my favourite right now. Qrow/Clover from RWBY also has a place in my heart because I love Qrow’s character so much and I wish he has good things by the end of the show.

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

I make the promise to get through all of my posted AUs. So I try not to post things I don’t intend to finish. If I really want to see it through, I will post it as kind of a reminder that the fic isn’t just for me but the people who follow it. So I don’t have anything here. That being said, Inko’s Home is a pain in the ass for me to write.

What are your writing strengths?

I’ve been told I’m very good at “describing sensations.”

What are your writing weaknesses?

I’m stubborn and get through things quickly just to get through my rotation and then get frustrated when I can’t do anything better. I try to meet my word counts but sometimes it’s hard, especially for a fic you don’t like anymore.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

If you’ve read my Arcane stuff, I love having Viktor use Russian words as nicknames for Jayce. Moye serdtse (my heart) is one I commonly use, as well as stuff like Vitya and Viten’ka. I’m also partial to the headcanon of Persona-users being able to speak different languages depending on the origins of their Persona’s names, but I haven’t toyed with it yet.

What was the first fandom you ever wrote for?

.......Supernatural. I don’t want to talk about it. It was when I started writing and it was terrible.

What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

It depends on my mood. Sometimes I re-read my one shots and I love them. Sometimes I’m editing older chapters of my long fics and I remember what I liked about them in the first place. Sometimes I come up with a new idea and get stuck on that for a while. Dear Fellow Traveller and Bound to You are up there (I will get around to updating them, I swear!) and are comforting when I do write them. Completed-wise, I’ll have to say both my Persona fics at the moment (Eat Your Heart Out and i’ve carved out a place in this world for two) because they’re my two newest and the ones on my brain. As I’ve said, I love going back to read my work. I write it for me, so just because I’m not currently thinking of something doesn’t mean I’ve hated it (except maybe Inko’s Home it drives me mad).

Hate at first sight

I have acquired a huge respect to anyone who manages do draw Tomura WITH the hands. I tried to trace that shit but it looks so weird when I try it. But anyway…

Sometime ago I decided to draw a scene from “RWBY in my hero” with Tomura and Cinder. And what’s better than their first meeting? If hate at first sight exists, Tomura experienced it at that moment. Not that Cinder cares, she just likes to feel superior to others. Which was kind of easy at that moment considering that state Tomura was in the aftermath of U.S.J. That will change considering the growth Tomura went through in canon and I am curious to see it in the next volumes.

“Shot in both arms and legs… all of those criminals wiped out,” said Cinder, tracing a finger over her cup's rim. “Even that creature you so perfectly crafted was beaten. You failed.” She sighed, leaning back against the bar and taking her drink in hand. Burning red eyes stared up at her. “How disappointing, Tomura.”

“You…” The fallen man grit his teeth as he tried to push himself up. With his injuries, he couldn’t. Tomura was left with no choice but to look up at Cinder… as it should be. “Who the hell are you…?”

Returning to the subject of drawing Tomura, I couldn’t manage to get him right. But I decided to add an extra version here with a scene that I took from the anime.

The Morality of Fandom Activities

This might as well be an essay, so apologies for my long asf post. Just a few heads up: this is in no way talking about people who support incest irl and MAPS. Those are extreme cases that I'm not qualified myself to talk about, I only know that I don't want them on my page 😭

I stopped having a very active social media presence when I was finishing high school. For me, this was a huge deal, because as the token weird queer kid all my life, Tumblr and fandom culture provided a safe space for self-expression, developing my writing skills and exploring myself. Fandoms usually play a huge role for teens, since their interactions and their experiences shape their mindsets into the primary form their adult brain takes. Whenever I look at my old posts, I can see the points where I was maturing, I could see my opinions change very clearly without always connecting old posts to significant life events.

What is very important to take into account is that I was in ALL the "red flag" fandoms, even some niche ones. BNHA, Homestuck, RWBY, Okegom, Voltron, you name it. I was into it, I had Instagram edits of it saved on my phone. As a result, I am familiar with all kinds of fujoshi, yuri bros, proshippers, etc. I'm not here to inform you about my entire digital footprint though. I'm here to discuss fandom morality. Fair warning, I will be referring to a bunch of dark themes vaguely.

I want to start by saying I understand the appeal of a toxic ship. A ship that is straight-up problematic given the context of the story. Be it because the characters are abusive to each other, a very big age gap or them being blood relatives - I get it, even if I'm one of the people who's easily repelled by this shit. I get why Junjou Romantica, for example, became so popular. The big body proportions, the "forbidden romance" trope, the guilty pleasure, I get it. I understand how nerdy young women would fawn over yaoi because they craved a soft male touch. I understand the south park proshippers because they inserted their younger selves into the characters and imagined scenarios where their own fucked-up childhoods would make sense.

My experience with Funamusea helped me understand that things that are taboo can be appealing in a fictional form. There were a lot of issues because the horror used in Funa's games was centered around sexual battery and assault. To me, that made perfect sense. Funa games are packed to the brim with gore, war, mental abuse, and disturbing characters. Of course, there would be SA in such a fucked up setting. Rape is a horrifying thing that no one should face because it is a subcategory of violence. VIOLENCE IS SOMETHING NO ONE SHOULD EVER COME ACROSS. Therefore, why is it that people who write stories containing this trope receive so much hate, but 1940s war aus for example get praised? Why is FMA a pacifist masterpiece and not torture porn?

For "glorifying" real-life horrors? Triggering people? Let's broaden this.

Think of your favorite slasher film. Your favorite best-seller horror book. Do you think that the people behind these stories are freaks and murderers? Psychopaths are capable of fitting in anywhere they want, even fucking churches. So it is useless to assume creators are moral instigators for their VILLAINS. Now let's think about Colleen Hoover and Sara J Maas (or as I like to call her, Sara J Ass). Their "love" stories are super popular because of the immense marketing that they have received, despite profiting off romanticized harmful content. Backlash is still minimized in contrast to anime niche, because they are backed by million-dollar industries and the fact that they conform to the norms of a straight story. Although that, is a topic for another discussion - how problematic characteristics are "musts" in irl relationships.

Lastly, I want to talk about the so-called community saviors who want to protect these platforms. Those who want to build a safe environment so that no predators infiltrate our sacred grounds where we discuss Persona 5 ABO dynamics. A lot of them are oftentimes victims of this sort of abuse. I myself have come across groomers. But tbh 15yo kids who reblog Shiro X Keith are not really the enemy? Anyway, that's a little besides the point. I want to directly talk to these people right now, hear me out: you are hypocrites. You only pretend to care about Tumblr communities but do not hesitate to accuse someone of abuse (any kind) and tell them to end their life. How are you protecting anyone like this? How are you a positive role model for the children partaking in fandom activities when you show clearly that you wish death upon someone. VIOLENCE IS SOMETHING NO ONE SHOULD EVER COME ACROSS, I re-iterate and you possibly agree, but YOU ARE STILL VIOLENT, and justify it by being "virtuous". How are you any different from @\hivliving? Her actions will forever be engraved in her victims' heads, even if she was humiliated in the end. Then again, it would have been better for her to write a shitty low-quality fic about Hamilton having HIV or whatever the fuck, if looking up basic things about HIV was so difficult. After 7 years in & out of fandoms, there's one thing I'm fine with, and that's bad fics.

Ultimately there is so much more I want to say. I might cover this topic on my bestie and I's podcast sometime (soz it's in Greek). The bottom line here though is not about keeping a neutral stance on problematic media. It is to enjoy whatever the fuck you want just because it makes you happy. It is to differentiate what's a wolf in sheep's clothing from what's a sheep. It is to accept that kids will ALWAYS lie about their age to access all sorts of NSFW. God knows I did so. It is to recognize them and realize that their creators and fans are most likely not going to act out every bad thing that occurs in said story. Because if that were the case, with the rise of all the Yeagerists, we'd have so many bitchless college students trying to start little rumblings of their own, and the world would be a much funnier place.

Au where Ray is a demon and Maya is an angel who fell in love and went to ninjago in disguise to be together after bwing shunned by their society

The ninja decide they're done with saving the world and run away, they then adopt Lloyd, turn him back into a kid with yesterday's tea and go live in the light house for a bit, finding echo and also adopting him.

They all eventually start dating while co-parenting Echo and Lloyd

They all get different jobs that they enjoy and Nya, Pixal and Skylar also end up in a relationship and are motorcycle aunts

Brad and Gene also make up with Lloyd and now the poor ninja have 2 extra kids that aren't theirs constantly over and eating all their food XD

Ronin and Dareth are also there as everyones favorite uncles who teach them to fun games and (whenever ronin can get away with it) how to steal.

Jay is Dr.Julian's first nindroid prototype who's power source doesn't work so he's sent to the junkyard, ed and edna find the weird looking robot cute and decide to put him by the junkyard entrance instead of scrapping him, one day he gets struck by lightning -which is actually the element of lightning because this is the same day Libber died- and comes to life

Ed and Edna raise him like their own and also since his parents are inventors he adds a bunch of cool stuff to himself like jets/gliders so he can fly and a welding torch and stuff

Paranormal youtuber's au (with @/wojira, tho I think they deactivated or something idk)

Ed and Edna are assassins/inventors who turn their son Jay into a living weapon (think cyborg) they trained him to follow orders exactly and replaced how limbs with mechanical ones with different functions.

One day that find the skeleton army's weapon maker (dr.julain) ad get the blueprints for a nindroid they could improve and make better then Jay they decide he's no longer needed.

They leave him in a forest to rot telling him that they'll be back (they won't)

Eventually Nya and Kai find Jay and Nya fixes him up a bit with her then rudimentary but lastly growing knowledge of mechanics.

Jay then decides to stick around these kids/adopt himself into the smith family lol

Turns out some people in the cloud kingdom fucked up some peoples life's accidentally.

the cloud council or whatever decide to compensate said people by reincarnating them.

So harumi, morro and garmadon all get reincarnated into bnha with all their former memories

Harumi as hatsume mei's quirkless twin sister

Morro as izuku's adopted older brother

And Garmadon as a martial arts instructor

Lloyd never gets turned older and since morro isn't about to possess a scrawny useless little kid so instead he manipulates lloyd into stealing the realm crystal for him.

Kai hears that you can make bank as a streamer and even tho he hates newer technology and he sucks at video games he starts streaming so that the ninja can eat.

occasionally the other ninja make appearances but not often because they kick Kai's ass and the people of ninjago take much joy in Kai learning how to play the games they suggest for the first time

S.H.I.E.L.D's babysitter au

Morro is apart of shield and is tasked with training ultimate spiderman and his team and keep them from running off but ofc Morro was also a rebellious teen once so he low-key enables them.

Crack Au where aquaman and aqualad have an army of cats because they smell like fish, and conner has already named them all things like 'stray' and 'lil kitty' and given them little leather boots so now they have to keep them.

1. What fic of yours would you recommend to someone who had never read any of your work? (In other words, what do you think is the best introduction to your fics?)

OH BOY HMMM.... i think my general fic style tends to lean toward character study with ship undertones? so for recent works, where the tear stain dries (blue lock) would be probs a good primer. (for reference as to how frequently i approach this way, similar vein works for different fandoms would be: coffee is fine (danganronpa), promise me you will keep your eyes closed (bnha), all the ghosts (rwby), and the modern domestic obikin two-fic series (star wars))

14. Are there any tropes you would only read if written by a trusted friend or writer?

pretty much any angst or MCD, as i tend to avoid super sad/tragic fics, so it would take a friend writing it or a trusted author to get me to willingly break my own heart like that LMAO

49. What are you currently working on? Share a few lines if you’re up for it!

I HAVE AN ABSURD NUMBER OF WIPS RN because for some reason bllk has me writing more than almost any fandom since i was in high school istg. i'd say my biggest focus is the pacific rim au, which is, in its endgame, an isagi/kurona fic, but starts with ryusae (+ shidou&kurona friendship), hiorin, and has past bachisagi (...it's a pacrim au. you can guess maybe why they're past tense. sorry, bachira) i just recently finished piecing together the ryusae part, so have some lines from that >:3
