It's official. By order of Kerry Shawcross and Eddy Rivas, we now have a brand new, canonical RWBY character: Taco Cat! The final episode of the Grimm Campaign was released live the other night. In it, they brought in Lindsay Jones as a special guest. And it was from Lindsay's imagination that Taco Cat was brought into the RWBY universe as part of Team SAFR. Since the Grimm Campaign is canon, I was not joking about Taco Cat being a legitimate, if completely non-sensible, character within the RWBY timeline (Kerry confirmed as much). And Mecha Kevin, he is also canon. It was a very weird ending to the Grimm Campaign.

On a more personal note, I am grateful to everyone who joined the final RWBY Discord event tonight. I may make dumb jokes about RWBY but the show and the wondrous people who make it mean the world to me. Lindsay broke character at the end to say a few words and the unexpected weight of their message brought me to tears. RWBY has provided me, provided many of us, with support over the years. I remember the long days working on my thesis alone, 18 hours a day and with only four hours of daylight. It was a depressing and isolating time. But the story of RWBY was like my north star, it kept me going. It was my comfort during those times (that and the European oystercatchers outside my window, I loved those loud #######). And RWBY has been important for me ever since. And when Lindsay was going through a particularly hard time a few months ago, it was the support of fans that kept them moving forward too.

This may be my not very popular opinion but I hate most spin-off products that rwby makes Number 1: Ice Queendom and the crossovers with DC, Both crossovers were created to make money and nothing else and my hate comes from the simple facts and that they want to make these crossovers canon or semi-canon, But make this spin-off fuck the issue of timeline and development of rwby, A good example is weiss from ice queendom being racist towards faunus to have a dream for her to no longer be racist and then she continues to be so.

Spin-Offs are kinda hit or miss for me.

I LOVED Ice Queendom. RWBY was really good in the anime style, though the plot did get a little eh for me.

DC is something I am VERY not okay with. I haven't seen the RWBY/Justice League specials yet, but just from what I read from the RWBY comics, it feels... off. Like, they make Ruby way too edgy with her "baby bird" speech. They just... don't feel like RWBY.

I never played Grimm Eclipse, though I've watched playthroughs now and then (but only for like two characters because the dialogue is all pretty much the same). I played and LOVED Amity Arena, and I am very upset that they didn't continue for some reason. I want to play RWBY Arrowfell, but I can't because it was only for a limited time from a specific website and I was too late to get a physical copy (PHYSICAL MEDIA IS FOREVER, BUY LASERDISK!).

I've heard about the Grimm Campaign, but I haven't seen anything actually physical that can be bought, not even a freaking guidebook. I have Combat Ready! ...but no friends to play it with.

World of Remant was... a thing. I will say that. Which leaves...

The best thing Rooster Teeth has ever made. I remember a video that criticized RWBY Chibi as "a series that uses the main series characters better in every way". Seriously, Rooster Teeth, THIS IS HOW YOU SAVE RWBY! JUST MAKE MORE CHIBI! WHY IS THIS SO HARD FOR YOU TO UNDERSTAND?!

There is a RWBY DnD show?? No wonder I've never heard of it, if it's member exclusive, don't think many people watch it

Yeah, it was called RWBY: Grimm Campaign and currently has 23 episodes with S2 being behind a paywall a whole year after it finished while S1 is finally made available to the public.

I'm not interested in DnD besides trying to roll to hit my friends with a chair in discord, but the character designs are honestly kinda ugly.

Outfit wise, not bad, just a bit boring, but god those legs do not look right. They've basically given her really long feet and really diddy calves. If they're meant to be serval legs, they should've at least done the spots to show? Otherwise she just looks weird.

At least the show added characters with animal bodyparts replacing the actual human equivalents like Fiona or her uncle. It really sets the Faunus apart from humans besides basically a human model with some ears or a tail slapped on them.

Why does Pyke look like every Asian kid who's mum discovered bowls and scissors as hairstyling tools?

I hate him and his stupid face. His outfit is ugly, his colour scheme is ugly, his weapon is stupid and his Semblance is a shitter version of Qrow's and Clover's.

His design is the least horrible to look at, and I think it does alright in what it's trying to do, but god his ears are so fucking funny to look at. They look like bear ears, it cracks me up.

The EDGE-

This colour palette is so boring, it's all literally different shades of black with the one splash of yellow in his eyes. People, this is what happens when you use too much of one colour, you get a boring mess like this.

His semblance is also literally just Silver Eyes. He can produce a bright light from his hands that can damage Grimm, I love that the writers keep making Silver eyes less and less useful.

THIS is a mega folder containing literally everything rwby-related that is available right now on roosterteeth (+v9). rwby, fairytales, world of remnant, the grimm campaign, ice queendom (sub and dub), vtubing, all the behind-the-scenes stuff. everything.

plus soundtracks for every volume + IQ, and drm-free epubs.

i will add any additional rwby content released during the wind down period as it becomes available. V1-8 have an english subtitle track embedded in the files, V9 does not because it came from CR. IQ dub has english subtitles. and for the sake of completeness i pulled all the non-english subs available on CR for V1-9 as well, those are in there as loose .ass files for the time being.

whenever possible, buy physical media. learn how to strip drm out of digital content that you own and make it a habit to do so.
