Secret Star AU: The Vital festival is going on and team RWBY and JNPR just finished their fights. Weiss sees a bunch of girls, even housewives, going to Jaune asking for his autograph. She guess they are impressed with his skill, but they clearly don’t know his name since they are asking for a autograph from “Jamie Darc”. She mentioned it to her team, and she feels like they’re hiding something.
What a curious sight to behold at the Vytal festival, to witness a boy give autographs.
And Jaune Arc was a boy, as far as Weiss was concerned. Foolish, clumsy and scraggly, he admittedly grew out of his greatest faults over the course of the year.
This, however, was a new development entirely.
"Please sign here. I'm a really huge fan!"
"that's, uh...that's great! Just...not so loud, please."
"aww, is Jamie suddenly shy?"
"Please, ma'am..."
Jamie? That was odd...but would explain everything. His performance was nothing to write home about, so it seemed they mistook him for someone else and he didn't have the heart to correct them.
How typical. Weiss left him to solve his own dilemma as she returned to her team. Still, it was intriguing enough to mention.
"It appears that Arc is being mistaken for someone named Jamie. Whoever that one is, he appears to be famous," she said to them, gesturing to the gaggle of people.
The situation became a much more curious one when her team started to laugh awkwardly and even blush.
"Do you know who they're talking about?"
"No/Yes!" Was the cacophonous answer.

Jaune Accidentally Sleeps In The Wrong Room
*It was night time, the entire gang of RWBYJNPR was drunk, for they are celebrating, for they had made it to the finals of the Vital Festival. Even Ruby was drunk much to Yang’s dismay. Eventually everyone went to the separate ways to their dorm to sleep. Jaune on the other hand, went into someone else's room.*
*The next morning over...*
Jaune: Ugh, what happened last night?
Ruby, just waking up: Hey Jaune, wait Jaune... AHHHH!
Blake, waking up covering her ears: Ruby calm down. Jaune what are you doing here.
Yang, woken by the screech of Ruby: What is wrong with you? And Jaune what are you doing here, don’t tell me you're trying to be a perv.
*Yang flares up a bit from this.*
Jaune, rising from a bed’s covers: No, to be honest I don't know why I am here in the first place.
*R_BY then sees Jaune without a shirt.*
Blake: Jeez did you sleep in Weiss’s bed without a shirt, your dead by the way if she finds out.
Weiss, arising from Jaune’s right side: Who called me?
*Noticing Jaune, Weiss immediately jumping out of her bed seeing him. She jumps out in her underwear, but is not embarrassed because the girls have seen her in this type of clothing.*
Weiss: Jaune Arc, what are you doing in my bed, with only underwear?!?!
Yang, whispering: Blake, 5 lean that they had sex.
Blake, whispering: Screw it, I'm in 5 they didn't.
Jaune: I don’t know, I just woke up.
Weiss: That doesn’t explain why you were in my bed with me!!!
*Team NPR walks in this madness.*
Ren: What’s going on team RWBY?
Weiss: Just investigating why your leader in my bed last night sleeping with me.
Nora: Ohhhh that. Yeah so basically, Weiss you lead him into your room, seduced him and kinda had sex.
Yang, to Blake: Told ya.
Weiss and Jaune: What?!?!
Nora: Hey don’t blame me, you guys decided to have sex on Yang’s bed,
Yang: What!
Weiss: Oh, no. That means I am married to Jaune now.
Jaune: What? No we are not.
Weiss: Jaune in your family an Arc keeps his word, in mine the first person who takes a the viginity of one gets married to her.
Jaune: Oh...
Weiss: Don’t be sad, at least ya got me. And you aren’t the worst option either. So let’s make the most of it.
Jaune: Okay, welp at least I lost my virginity and got cute girlfriend in the end.
*Pyrrha screams in the background with anger and sadness.*

Oooh slightly ooc but a fun fucked up idea
What if CNDR actively tried to befriend RWBY before the vital festival?
Ruby: were we ever actually friends?
Cinder: that's the tragedy of it all little red, we will always be friends
The ultimate lunchroom table of constant bickering and Cinder trying not to lose her mind

Introducing Jett Darcy, a RWBY OC I made years ago.
Tumblr media
I felt like redrawing him to see how my art style has changed over the past four(?) years
Old vs. New
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jett is an Atlas student who comes to Beacon for the Vital Festival. There he goes from being cold and strict, to more laidback, rebellious, and open to his teammates due to the less formal atmosphere at Beacon. His weapons are two throwing axes/pistols, and his Semblance allows him to teleport to wherever his weapons are thrown.

If Rwby gets picked up or bought… others and I have a few wishes…
In general
I want more developed relationships between characters. Within the teams, within the villains/antagonists, I just want them to be more between themselves or within each other. I feel that the villains are not that in sync as they should be, team RWBY are not as close as they are implied, and if they were the break ups (not particularly romantic, just generally) would hit even harder when they separate or breakdown. I feel the writers and even the fandom are just pretending that RWBY has well developed relationships when it doesn’t. I feel R/enora needs to individualize itself more than just leaving Nora as some joke/one dimensional character. B/umble bee needs more time for it’s platonic arc as well as its romantic and intimate arc, and I feel that it could take a few lessons from earlier Marvel when it comes to writing relationships. RNJR should had a longer arc and development to show how developed the relationships were between the team before or even after team RWBY reunited, maybe even before they separated, could have been more moments in the Beacon and Vital festival arcs, but I’ll get more into that in a moment. I wish there could have been more moments between Rose Lotus so I’m not just fishing for crumbs for my ship, because honestly they had a bunch of potential. Even Wildrose, Strawbana, platonic Rosebull, White Lotus, Ladybug, Freezerburn, White Rose, Black Lotus, Iceberg, Ironwitch, Greek Lotus, Arkos, Valkos, Frostbite, etc. could have been more developed, than just some of them abandoned or not even explored.
More development for characters, as much as I love the wide array of characters, they need to be explored. From Ilia, Velvet and Whitley, etc. they need to be explored. Even the villains/antagonists, temporary or not, need to be developed so they don’t turn out to be really generic and not fleshed out, I feel fleshing out a character makes them better written most of the time, take some notes from Marvel, they don’t need to be turn good, just give an understanding to how they got there or give them some attracting (not saying attractive) traits. Also don’t make a one dimensional villain out of a racial minority in your story, it’s not really giving a good message and may turn the character into a plot device rather than a character. Looking at Marvel’s Kree, there could have been some good or morally grey Kree, but now I feel they are just usually painted as villains.
I hate to say this but more content in the storyline, I feel we need longer episodes and an even longer Beacon arc, we need to get invested in the characters, world, and relationships, before we delve deep into the heart of the plot. I guess we could’ve had a bigger fandom and a well developed story if we made the Beacon Arc 75 eps at the very least, then the Vytal festival arc could have been a little bit more longer, at least 20-30 eps, observe which meant to be one off characters are liked and write them into the story. Maybe have an academy from Menagerie join the festival, they don’t have to be well liked we just need more Faunus characters especially since we don’t have enough of them on the main crew. Make each volume from that point at least 20 eps, and flesh out the story from there. Maybe make it longer to flesh out non-MCs.
But if we’re not doing a reboot, I say just follow my advice above, for future reference have a good peace arc so that the characters are not developing relationships under pressure, develop characters and make longer and more fleshed out seasons starting from volume 10
I’d love to see more AU projects, but I’d also like to watch them, main series, au, just rwby content in general, for free since I’m broke🥲
I want Nora to be independent and maybe have a couple of romances with other characters, maybe Mercury, I’ll write fanfiction for you guys definitely if that happens. Like I just want her to explore what she actually wants if she ever gets back together with Ren which is probably inevitable, I want her to develop as a person, I don’t want her to end up with him with a one sided obsession, look Ren is not equally obsessed with her, I just want her to act normal. I don’t hate her, I just think she has untapped potential to become a greater character, I don’t want her to stay as she is.
I want new writers to be involved with this series, I want them to commit to Monty’s plans for the story, yet change things that NEED to be changed in order to give a better message to the audience.
I want places related to specific characters to reflect on them just as Vale did for RWBY, like Oniyuri reflecting Ren and Nora. I want maybe some Chinese coded families besides Ren’s to live there, maybe some Chinese cultural appreciation molding some aspects in the show, maybe like houses or city decorations. Maybe have some more white and blues in Nora’s design, to represent Nora’s pure emotions for others and honesty she can sense just by understanding other people easily.
If you’re to rewrite R/enora’s relationship, have Ren less dismissive of Nora’s feelings, like show him caring, but you can also still have him not fully intimate with his emotions, like he’s trying not to be so close, to protect both of them
Those are just my main concerns for now, I’ll work on my own projects at my own time, but if there’s any projects I promised to show and forgot about please remind me, I have to many posts to scroll past to remind myself. Thanks for being here. I’m trying to show stuff I’m working on and not just blog because that’s what I do in my spare time.

RWBY COMBAT ANALYSIS: PYRRHA NIKOS
Tumblr media
“For it is in passing that we achieve immortality.  Through this, we become a paragon of virtue and glory to rise above all.  Infinite in distance and unbound by death, I release your soul, and by my shoulder, protect thee.”
PHYSICAL
At the time of her death during the fall of Beacon, Pyrrha Nikos was a 17-year-old human female.  Born and raised in the Mistrali city of Argus, Pyrrha attended Sanctum Combat School before being accepted to Beacon Academy, and during that time made a name for herself as an amateur combat tournament champion, this string of competitions went a long way for crafting her for the physically demanding lifestyle of a Huntress.  Upon her admission to the school, Pyrrha quickly established herself as one of, of not the, most capable students of her generation, outstripping her classmates by a wide margin to the point where she took it upon herself to tutor her otherwise inept team leader Jaune Arc.  Despite this considerable talent, Pyrrha struggled with the pressures of her celebrity status in her personal life, feeling alienated from her peers due to the pedestal she stood on.  It is therefore truly appropriate that Jaune Arc quickly went from being her partner and student to being her closest friend and confidant, and potentially even more.
An exceptional though otherwise typical specimen, Pyrrha possessed no special or extreme alterations or enhancements, standing at 6’ exactly and distinguished only by her vibrant red ponytail, green eyes, and athletic build.  In terms of athletic performance, Pyrrha can best be described as balanced across the board, displaying an exceptional blend of strength, agility and dexterity.  She demonstrated her strength by plowing through several trees with only her shield to brace her during her initiation, and later supporting the weight of Nora Valkyrie before launching her into the air during the battle with the Deathstalker.  During her battle with Team CRDL, she ended the fight by manhandling the heavily armored Cardin Winchester and slamming him into the ground, and later briefly overpowered Cinder Fall during their final battle.  Her agility was best expressed through her nimble use of acrobatics, gyrating in midair to evade attacks and close the distance.  She kept one step ahead of all four members of Team CRDL at the same time, evaded Penny Polendina’s swarming blades during the Vytal Festival, dodged point-blank flame bursts from Cinder, and has casually kept pace with the likes of Blake Belladonna and Mercury Black (the former, mind you, being able to keep up with Adam Taurus and the latter able to dodge lightning).  Her dexterity was expressed through her elaborate but highly diversified fighting technique, capably switching between her various weapon settings on the fly and outfencing most of her opponents.  She has landed precise killing blows with her spear, both thrown and handheld, and performed everything from lunging thrusts to swift flank strikes with her sword, notably responding to the varied styles of Team CRDL without any loss in finesse.
Tumblr media
Additionally, Pyrrha demonstrated exceptional stamina and a highly respectable tolerance for pain and injury.  While not quite a human punching bag like the likes of Hazel Rainart and even Jaune, Pyrrha’s capacity for dealing with pain in battle was still considerable even compared to professional Huntsmen.  During her initiation, she was sent flying by a strike from the Deathstalker that left her in a crumpled heap, yet she recovered quickly and remained vital during Teams RWBY and JNPR’s inaugural battles with the Nevermore and Deathstalker.  During the food fight with Team RWBY, Pyrrha and the rest of her team were slammed against a wall and pummeled with a barrage of thrown debris carried by Ruby’s Semblance, and though she was conclusively disabled by this, she was relatively uninjured and joined her friends in the merriment immediately afterwards.  During the Fall of Beacon, she went through both a vicious one-v-one with Penny Polendina and the early stages of the Grimm invasion, endured the pain of the Aura Transfer machine, and was still strong enough to battle Cinder Fall almost to a draw.  In that final battle, Pyrrha had to be brought down through attrition, soaking up several serious kinetic blows from the Fall Maiden that demolished the surrounding area and eventually broke her Aura.  She was only subdued when Cinder shot an arrow into her ankle, the Fall Maiden proceeding to sadistically shoot another into her heart before disintegrating her body with the Scorching Caress.  Though she had no hope of surviving Cinder’s gruesome execution, the fact that Pyrrha met her death with dignity and calm despite her injuries and the emotional strain she had been subjected to that day was a testament to her discipline, composure, and will to fight.
In combat, Pyrrha leveraged her physical attributes as a rotating wheel of capabilities that she could emphasize based on the situation.  She met hard with soft and soft with hard, going for the throat by the path of least resistance.  This emphasis was reflected in her wardrobe, adopting light armor to provide a good balance between mobility and protection.  As a Beacon student, she wore a light brown corset, black miniskirt, and elbow-length gloves, over which she wore plated bronze greaves, cuisses, a gorget, and a bracer on her left arm, all this topped off with her distinctive red sash and bronze circlet. While the protection was less complete that it might otherwise have been, it still provided a solid margin for error against injury, while the gaps in the plating left her unencumbered for her more elaborate movements.
RANKING: Tier 2, Peak Human Fitness
Tumblr media
While not as overwhelmingly strong or fast as many of her peers, Pyrrha is not far behind any of them, her balanced array of attributes covering all of her bases and leaving her prepared for any athletic demand.  All her physical attributes are elevated to a degree that is more than sufficient to enable her skills, and her ability to emphasize the most appropriate attribute means she can match and exceed her adversaries where it counts.  While graceful in motion and outwardly unassuming, she was still a highly developed and powerful physical combatant who can comfortably function in any scenario. She displays nothing short of the Huntsman physical apex, which she further supplemented with light yet strong armor, providing a margin for error while leaving her free to strike.
MARTIAL
Tumblr media
Pyrrha Nikos’s weapons of choice were Miló and Akoúo̱, a paired set of a metallic shield with a combination sword, spear and rifle.  In spear form, Miló appeared to be a little over six feet in length, providing a reach advantage while not being so long as to be unwieldy.  The sword maintained the blade length while reducing the handle to about a third, enabling it to be held with either one or both hands. The rifle function was semi-automatic and appeared to be triggerable in the spear mode as well, demonstrated when Pyrrha launched the javelin at Jaune during their initiation and later when she triggered an automatic thrust during her battle with Team CRDL.  Akoúo̱ appeared to be about two feet in diameter and contained no special enhancements, although it was light enough to be utilized as a throwing disc.  Overall, a versatile and utilitarian weapon set, providing lethality at multiple ranges and a solid degree of defense
Like the majority of her peers, Pyrrha Nikos began her training at a preliminary combat school, in her case Sanctum Academy in Argus.  Graduating at the top of her class, Pyrrha supplemented her formal education with the rigors of competitive fighting, holding a four-time winning streak in the Mistral Regional Tournament.  Accordingly, she was already a tried and tested combatant when Team JNPR was formed in the months preceding the Fall of Beacon breezing through her initiation with the aid of June Arc, Nora Valkyrie, and Lie Ren.  Easily the most talented student of her generation, Pyrrha regularly outperformed her classmates in sparring, and even took it upon herself to privately tutor her teammate Jaune Arc, slowly molding the in-too-deep rookie into the capable field commander he would eventually become.  While her standing compared to true professionals is not established, I feel confident that, even on her worst days, Pyrrha would be a serious challenge to the majority of Beacon’s senior staff.  Pyrrha’s physical moveset took full advantage of each of her weapon functions, providing her with a diverse array of techniques that covered all her bases.  When fighting sword and board, she favored a one-handed grip on her weapon, using swift slashes and forceful stabs to pressure her opponent’s guard while using her shield to deflect incoming attacks before countering immediately.  Extremely agile, she supported this method with nimble gymnastics, evading attacks and building power for her blows.  Her spear-fighting technique appeared to combine classical spear thrusts with quarterstaff techniques, keeping her adversaries at bay with both probing stabs and overhand power blows while blocking attacks with the belly of the weapon. Her marksmanship, while not as well known as her melee skills, was also highly polished, usually using quick bursts of gunfire to break her opponent’s momentum and allow her to slip in counters.  She displayed greater accuracy with her thrown weapons, notably pinning Jaune to a tree with Miló’s javelin function after only a moment to gauge her aim.  Additionally, she regularly used her shield as a thrown weapon, blindsiding Cardin Winchester and Sky Lark with a ricocheting blow and staggering Cinder Fall with a flying shield bash. While she was an armed combat specialist first and foremost, Pyrrha was capable in hand-to-hand as well, staggering enemies with regular kicks and overcoming Cinder Fall with wrestling-like grapples in their final battle. This layered yet focused fighting style was reinforced by her fluid integration of her Semblance, often making subtle manipulations to her armor and weapons to bypass and subvert the enemy.
Tumblr media
However, while all Pyrrha’s skills were honed and deadly, none of them were elevated to a degree she could dominate with.  Where true master martial artists have refined their skill to the nth degree, Pyrrha’s individual techniques were merely good enough to contend.  Instead, her effectiveness in battle was predicated on her ability to alternate techniques, reconfiguring based on the situation and opponent.  Her tactics emphasized adaptability and subversion, getting around her underdevelopment in specific areas by using all of her abilities in tandem, tailoring her approach to suit the opponent.  During Team JNPR’s inaugural battle with the Deathstalker, Pyrrha opened with her rifle to keep the creature at bay before rushing in with Jaune to deflect its pincers with their shields.  Under their leader’s direction, Pyrrha used her shield to amputate the Deathstalker’s stinger after Lie Ren weakened it before coordinating with Nora Valkyrie, launching her into the air and allowing her to literally hammer the point in. During the food fight, Pyrrha directly engaged Blake Belladonna, capably fending off her dual blade (er, bread) assault before knocking her back, then immediately launched several loaves like spears at Yang Xiao Long, disabling her as well before being knocked back by Ruby Rose’s flying lunch tray.  When she fought Team CRDL, she seamlessly switched up her fighting style to deal with four very different fighter types at once, forcing openings in their guard and keeping them guessing.  She leveraged her speed and dexterity to subvert Cardin Winchester’s brutish mace strikes, fended off Russel Thrush and Dove Bronzewing’s blades at the same time before throwing them off with shield strikes, and closed the distance to render Sky Lark’s reach advantage useless, all while forcing them to react to her gunfire and keeping them at bay by suddenly unleashing her spear.  However, the thinly spread nature of her technique was demonstrated in her subsequent sparring match with Mercury Black.  She maintained her weapon in sword mode and fought fairly evenly with the undercover assassin, but was forced to defend against his more consistent kicking assault and was disarmed.  Pyrrha recovered quickly and used her Semblance to force Mercury’s boot out of line before retrieving her weapon, but he decided to forfeit the match, having already taken her measure.  In these battles, Pyrrha demonstrated her versatility and ability to undercut her opponents by probing for the chink in their armor, getting creative if a conventional assault failed.  At the same time, she showed a vulnerability to more developed stylists who could get the better of her if forced to rely on individual skills.
Unsurprisingly, Pyrrha proved to be her team’s ace during the Vytal Festival, to the point where Qrow Branwen, a veteran Huntsman with experience battling the agents of Salem, felt she was solely responsible for their advancement.  During the preliminary match against Team BRNZ, she replicated her effectiveness against CRDL, managing to contend with both Brawnz Ni and Roy Stallion in the initial exchange before coordinating with Jaune to flush out May Zedong.  After distracting the melee team, she launched herself into the air to block Zedong’s sniper shot, exposing her and giving Nora enough time to charge her Semblance and land a decisive blow.  It was after this that Ozpin approached her about potentially inheriting the powers of the Fall Maiden, both in recognition of her skill and out of concern for what Salem was planning.  Unfortunately, these revelations put a great deal of mental strain for the young prodigy, her sense of identity challenged by what was being requested of her.  When pitted against Penny Polendina, Pyrrha was distracted and reeling from a misunderstanding with Jaune, yet remained focused enough to acquit herself extremely well against the unseen android.  However, Penny’s varied multiangular assault prevented Pyrrha from finding a discernable weakness for her to exploit, and Emerald Sustrai’s illusions undercut her concentration even further, leading to her getting disarmed and being forced to unleash her Semblance to deflect Penny’s swords.  Tragically, this would inadvertently destroy Penny’s body, the resulting horror of the accident triggering the Fall of Beacon.  Pyrrha managed to work through her distress and aided her classmates in the defense of Beacon, putting a serious dent in the Grimm horde before being called away by Ozpin to facilitate the Maiden power transfer.  Unfortunately, Cinder Fall followed them and secured the whole power set, killing Ozpin in battle shortly after Pyrrha and Jaune escaped.  Rather than run, Pyrrha forcibly removed Jaune from the battlefield and went to confront the Fall Maiden herself.  Opening with a thrown sword and a flying shield bash, Pyrrha approached defensively, blocking and evading Cinder’s flame bursts and slipping in counters where she could.  She managed to gain some ground, briefly subduing her with unarmed combat after being disarmed, but the shock of the approaching Wyvern distracted Pyrrha long enough for Cinder to destroy Miló and brutally shatter Ozpin’s office.  Left with only her shield, Pyrrha was forced to lean heavily on her Semblance to fight back, her martial effectiveness severely reduced without her primary weapon.  To her credit, Pyrrha still managed to hit Cinder unawares, knocking her off her feet with her shield before pelting her with a series of gears, but Cinder’s power was ultimately more than she could handle, and Pyrrha Nikos was slain by arrows to the ankle and the heart.
RANKING: Tier 3, Standard Mastery
Tumblr media
Although this is Pyrrha’s official ranking, she is the kind of Tier 3 that I would describe as a “Tier 2 in the making”.  Most who peak at Tier 3, such as Adam Taurus, tend to rely on direct, focused applications of a singular, high-performance technique, dominating on the back of a single refined skill.  Pyrrha, on the other hand, employs the diverse fighting style and tactics of a Tier 2 like Qrow Branwen, all her skills adding up to something greater than the sum of their parts and providing a great deal of versatility.  However, she is held back by a lack of development, and is left at a disadvantage when forced to rely on singular skills.  Despite being an unambiguous fighting prodigy, none of Pyrrha’s individual fighting styles are refined to the point where she can rely on it to achieve victory against an equal.  She’s spread thin between weapon proficiencies, and her effectiveness is severely reduced if those weapons are disabled.  Instead, her success leans on her ability to funnel the most effective skill down the path of least resistance, getting around her lack of development by juggling all of her techniques until she finds the most appropriate method.  while this makes her a tricky opponent to engage, it also means she can come up short when no such path exists, either when she is restricted in her options, or more disastrously, when the opponent can answer all of her skills.  Pyrrha was a Tier 2 martial artist waiting to happen, tragically cut down before her prime, yet still a force to be reckoned with.
SPECIAL
Tumblr media
Pyrrha Nikos dubbed her semblance “Polarity”, the ability to manipulate metallic objects through magnetism.  With this power, Pyrrha could telekinetically lift, grip, and throw just about any form of metal.  Obviously, several of the metals Pyrrha has manipulated on screen are not actually magnetic, so check your scientific criticisms at the door.  Having clearly learned the extent of her abilities as she trained, Pyrrha developed her powers to directly support and supplement her overall fighting method, demonstrating both an incredible degree of fine control and an awe-inspiring degree of magnitude.  Her lifting strength was a minimum of several tons, demonstrated when she manipulated at least eight clock gears of Ozpin’s office during her fight with Cinder before pelting her with them.  Making this display more impressive was the fact that Pyrrha was able to maintain the trajectory of her thrown shield while still lifting the gears, showing her ability to wield power and precision in tandem.  Though she was typically cautious on how tightly she held her metallic projectiles, her grip power was sufficient to deform the metal she controlled, seen when she lost control of her power during her battle with Penny and bent Miló and Akoúo̱ into odd shapes.  Between her moments of cutting loose and losses of control brough about by emotional stress, Pyrrha has demonstrated a considerable amount of magnitude in her Semblance and the potential applications.  Other notable examples of her magnitude include overwhelming Blake with a barrage of thrown soda cans during the food fight, seizing Jaune’s armor and slamming him against a stone wall hard enough to crack it, blowing away Penny’s swords with a broad telekinetic wave, blasting off the lid of the transfer pod and using it as a thrown projectile, and launching the damaged elevator of the CCT tower to reach Ozpin’s office for her final battle.  Even more impressive is the ease at which Pyrrha has performed these feats.  Where other Semblances have been known to be labor intensive and draining on the users’ energies, Pyrrha has performed her most destructive feats almost instantly and without any noticeable toll on her stamina, her feat with the elevator taking place immediately before her intensive battle with Cinder Fall.
However, despite these impressive displays of power, Pyrrha typically refrained from such overtly destructive uses of her Semblance.  Instead, she favored using her powers for tactical support, using subtle and inventive magnetic nudges to force targets out of line.  Some of her favorite tactics included light deflections to off-balance her enemies and safeguard her allies, and more notably, manipulating her own weapons and armor to improve her combat evasions.  She made a habit of forcing her opponents’ weapons slightly out of range of her in the middle of their attack sequences, giving the illusion that she dodged the blow when in truth they just barely missed.  This method in particular was part of the reason why Pyrrha was such an effective prodigy, as she could effectively rob her opponent of their ability to bring their full power to bear, screwing with their precision and timing while enhancing her own.  This went so far as to earn her the moniker of “the Invincible Girl” due to her seeming inability to be hit.  During her sparring match with Team CRDL, she liberally contorted her body and thrown weapons to keep her adversaries at arm’s length and dodge around their attacks, turning their attempts to gang up on her into tangled and disorganized thrashing.  Against Mercury Black, she undercut his timing and control by forcing his attacks out of line, notably brushing his roundhouse kick past her after he managed to disarm her.  Her fine control and precision so great that many of her movements are completely missed, such as when she nudged Jaune’s shield up to defend without him even realizing it during his fight with the Ursa Major.  All this isn’t to say that Pyrrha couldn’t be an overwhelming powerhouse (her feats above prove that she can), but she much preferred to keep her full power in reserve, making the most out of the most efficient approach rather than the most domineering.  Why use a longsword when a dagger will suffice?
Much like her martial arts, Pyrrha favored using her Semblance as a multitool, using the most relevant application for the situation to channel her attacks down the path of least resistance.  However, Pyrrha seemed either incapable or unwilling to leverage both her power and precision at the same time. Most of the time, she simply used the subtle magnetic pushes to subvert the opponent or propel her movements, letting Miló and Akoúo̱ do most of the dirty work.  Even her combination of the gears and her shield was a combined assault with two vastly different objects being manipulated.  Had she sent one of the gears flying around as handily as she did her weapons, we’d be having a different discussion.  Whenever she was unarmed, her magnetic strikes became simpler and blunter, leaning on her power to overcome the enemy.  Against CRDL and Mercury, she tripped them up and exploited the openings as soon as possible, regaining the initiative long enough to slip back into her comfort zone.  But when pitted against Penny and Cinder, she was disarmed conclusively and backed into a corner, forcing her to resort to overwhelming power to contend with them.  Making this more of a black mark was the fact that her raw power seemed to be her only recourse to major setbacks; whenever her martial technique was insufficient or crippled, Pyrrha simply spammed Polarity to flatten the target.  She certainly maintained her focus and control, manipulating the flurry of soda cans to swarm over Blake and knocking Cinder off her feet with a shield throw before throwing the gears, but both of these displays still amounted to simply pelting her target with a barrage of debris.  This fallback option was effective enough against Penny, knocking back her swords and accidentally trisecting her, but Cinder managed to match and exceed Pyrrha’s power with her own, blasting the gears back with a contained fiery explosion.  If Pyrrha’s skill can’t cut it, she falls back on brute force, and if that fails, she has nothing to fall back on further.
RANKING: Tier 3, Specialized Combat
Tumblr media
Just as with her fighting skills, Pyrrha’s inventive and balanced application of her special abilities mark her as a Tier 2 in the making, demonstrating an extremely impressive range of power and application that nonetheless requires ironing out.  Her use of Polarity is brilliant, integrated into her overall fighting method in a way that most aren’t prepared to deal with, but her uses vary sharply depending on her armament situation.  When armed and in control, she uses her powers to capitalize on circumstantial factors and undercut the enemy, but when her fighting options are limited, she wields her powers and a blunt instrument.  My belief is that Pyrrha had a harder time directly influencing her target directly with her powers due to the need to split her attention. She’s so focused on enabling her style and defending against what the opponent is bringing on that she can’t spare the time to attack the enemy in the same way, such as stealing their weapon or more refined throws. Pyrrha is a magnetic savant, sacrificing power in favor of control. She is certainly not weak or inept in any sense, and her tactical uses demonstrate her intelligent strategy, but she hasn’t learned to consistently make full use of all of her powers. Again, a Tier 2 in the making held back by a lack of development, and given her dedication, this was likely one of the first things she would have worked to address had she lived.
OVERALL RANKING: TIER 3, ADVANCED HUNTRESS
Tumblr media
Pyrrha Nikos’s final ranking is determined from the average set by her martial skills and special abilities.  Pyrrha’s natural talent and status as a prodigy were signs of great things to come, clearly showing that she had the potential to be one of the greatest Huntresses of her generation.  However, Pyrrha was still a student when she died, and clearly still had a few tiny flaws in her style to iron out.  Her physical performance level was extremely advanced, comfortably providing her with all the tools she needed to enable her style, but she was still mortal and couldn’t fight forever.  As a martial artist, Pyrrha was versatile, high-performance, and tactically brilliant, but her individual skills were merely enough for her to contend, her success reliant on her ability to use all of them.  With her Semblance, she was skillful, precise, and deceptively opportunistic, expertly undercutting her opponents, but she was inexperienced with directly leveraging her power as a weapon in battle.  She is very much a jack-of-all-trades, her greatest victories tied to her ability to exploit her opponent’s weaknesses rather than overcome their strengths.  For all intents and purposes, Pyrrha Nikos is RWBY’s answer to Galen Marek from the Force Unleashed video games, a dynamic, underhanded savant who uses unconventional tactics to bypass stronger opponents’ defenses and catch them off guard.  Had she gained a few more years of training or lived long enough to join in the war with Salem, Pyrrha would have certainly learned to address these weaknesses; she’d be a serious threat to just about anybody.  As it stands, Pyrrha is more than eligible for Advanced Huntress status, but when she’s outclassed, she’s outclassed.
Aside from the obvious tragedy surrounding Pyrrha’s death, a genuinely kind, gentle, and noble young woman and a fierce, loving friend being brutally murdered, there is also the tragedy of a promising career cut so short.  Pyrrha was easily the best of her generation, well on her way to matching and exceeding many of the great masters of her day and embodying everything that a Huntress should be, body and soul.  As uncomfortable as she was with her celebrity status, her reputation was earned for a reason, both in the eyes of her fans and her friends.  The masses saw her as an unstoppable all-star and mighty warrior she appeared as on the outside, while her teammates, Jaune in particular, saw her for the courageous and compassionate person she was on the inside.  She was a rising star and true hero, cut down before her time, and even then, she gave her all.  Though she fell in battle before she reached her peak, Pyrrha Nikos did not die in vain, her friends honoring her sacrifice with every battle.  It may be cold without her here, but her memory lives on in the people who loved her.

We know there’s that joke about everyone else in RWBY is playing Devil May Cry while Jaune is stuck playing Dark Souls right? But what if Jaune is actually pulled into a Souls game(s) by a different god when he fell into the black? Chosen Undead, Ashen One, Bearer of the Curse, Tarnished, the Hunter, Sekiro, Hollow Knight, or whatever, he has to live in those shoes until the other god is ‘satisfied’ and sends him back with all his new gear. How do you think that’d change things if/when he gets back?
Jaunes timing is now to such a level that no one can beat him and he's developed true confidence to the point he doesn't care if everyone is more fun to watch fight he just dose whatever is most effective.
His relationship with his friends becomes strained as it's now a group of teenagers and a full grown man trying to be friends. Jaune becomes a bit of a loner as he's too young to hang with the last generation and too old for his own.
Weiss, Blake and yang all take issue with jaune not being the weakest anymore. Before it was easy to know that jaune was the low man on the totem pole. Now the comfortable world they knew is gone.
Yang is at least honest with her anger and tries to fight jaune. Jaunes used to enemies who get stronger as you hurt the so she loses and yang just accepts it after that. Weiss and Blake both have their entire world views tied into either being the best or in Blake's case secretly being the main character in a YA novel. Blake tries to attract jaune but that fails because of her comparative Immaturity. She and Weiss then try to ruin him so they're back to the way things were but aren't successful because they're petty teenagers and don't know how to attack someone who isn't insecure and questioning their place in life.
Pyrrha gets closure on her crush when jaune just asks her if she has one. Social rejection isn't scary to jaune anymore so he's more willing to get egg on his face if he was wrong. They try dating but it fails because again jaunes seen the literal end of the world and fought gods he can't relate to Pyrrha tho he emphasizes with her. They agree to try again in a few years
Nora and Ren become more distant with jaune no longer drawing them in. Nora was already too much for most of the group it was the fact that her team always forgave her that let her stick around in the social group they built. But with only Pyrrha really drawing her and Ren out of their shells it's not enough. Ren also is pretty immature being a teenager his zen only lasts till stress overwhelms his semblance so he has never had to learn to deal with his emotions. The two become more co dependent until jaune starts acting like a father figure to them helping them mature. Though it takes a while for him to come back from what he's dealing with PTSD and depression is a bitch like that.
Ruby is the only one who still remains close to jaune because she's the only one mature enough to not care about power or her own Immaturity. While jaune might not care about her problems the same way he used to. He does still care. They just don't seem as big anymore. Ruby accepts that she and jaune are different. But that doesn't stop her from being his friend and seeking him out even when he's caught up in his own mind and having flashbacks to the hell he went through. Ruby helps jaune remain human.
Cinder dies along with mercury and emerald during the attack on the vital festival. Jaune's used to killing giant creatures so the dragon and paladins are dealt with freeing up most of the other huntsmen to overwhelm cinder in numbers and delay her from becoming a maiden long enough for Pyrrha to become one and ozpin to then join the fray and kill cinder. Mercury tries to surrender he's later put to death for the attempted destruction of vale. Emerald refuses to give up on cinder and is killed by the other huntsmen. Neo escapes to anima with Roman still dead.
Salem adjusts her plans and stays in the shadows

I know we know literally nothing plot wise about ice queendom yet but given that there's designs for everyone's vol 1-3 designs AND new designs for the show I'm thinking this might be an alternate timeline. Like, most of the events of vol 1-3 happen (sans Pyrrha dying and Yang losing her arm) but Beacon is deemed too dangerous to students, so they're shipped off to Atlas to complete their training there.

Chapter 29
Remnant: (Week 18)
Team RWBY headed to the docks so they could "welcome" the Teams from the other three academies to Beacon Acadamy. At least that is what Weiss said. But in reality, Weiss wants to spy on the other Teams so she can have an advantage over them during the Vital Festival.
They saw Sun, a monkey Faunus, running from authorities because he stowed away on a ship to get to Vale for the Vital Festival. Sun is the leader of Team SSSN (Team Sun). Team RWBY follow after Sun to see what he was up to. While following Sun, Weiss ran into Penny who is also in Vale to attend the Vital Festival. Weiss literally ran into Penny and knocked her down. Penny and Ruby become friends. After seeing that a Dust shop had been robbed of it's Dust, Weiss blamed the Faunus of the White Fang.
The White Fang is a group of Faunus that use protests and violence to try to get equal rights for the Faunus. The White Fang started out as a peaceful group but once the leader stepped down and a new leader took his place. The new leader decided to use violence to gain equal rights.
While Weiss and Blake argue about the White Fange and the Faunus, Blake accidentally tells her Team, she was once in the White Fang, then runs away. Weiss, Ruby and Yang go looking for Blake.
Obviously, Blake didn't take my advice about telling her Teammates about being a Faunus and she used to be a member of the White Fang.
Blake runs into Sun, and she tells Sun she was once a member of the White Fang. Sun tells Blake that a huge Dust shipment will be unloaded that evening, and they could see if the White Fang show up to steal the shipment or not.
The White Fang does show up being led by a human named Roman Torchwick, to steal all the Dust. Blake jumps in to stop the theft. Sun follows when he sees Blake is outnumbered and needs help. There are explosions on the docks, which attract the attention of the rest of Team RWBY. The rest of Team RWBY run to join in the fighting. Penny follows Ruby and helps also.
Team RWBY and Penny stop the theft but several of the White Fang members get away. And Roman gets away in an air ship.
Taima followed Roman as he left the area in the air ship. She was to keep an eye on him and to let me know when Cynder, Mercury and Emerald showed up.
Team RWBY was standing around in a circle talking. That's when Weiss tells Blake she doesn't care that Blake used to be a member of the White Fang.
I saw Penny walk over to a car and get in the back seat. I walked over to the car and knocked on the window. I waited a moment and knocked on the window again. I knew they didn't know what to make of someone knocking on the car window and were trying to think of what to do. Finally, the window was rolled down.
I leaned down so I could look in and so Penny's "father" could see me. "Hello." I said to penny's "father" then I looked at Penny. "Hello Penny. That was a nice job you did on those bad guys." I turned back to Penny's "father". "Keeping Penny sequestered and isolated to keep people from knowing she is an android/robot, will only make people wonder why she's being 'protected' and guarded so much. It'll just draw more attention to her. Teams RWBY(RUBY), JNPR(JUNIPER), JSMN(JASMIN) and JWCE(JUSTICE), all don't or should I say, wouldn't care that she's a robot. And none of them would let it get out, either." I told him, then I waved at Penny, then turned around and walked over to where Team RWBY was at.
After we had returned to our dorm rooms, I received a message from Taima.
*Cynder has arrived at the warehouse Roman is hiding out at.* Taima sent.
*Thank you. I'll be there in a moment.* I sent back.
I got the attention of my Team. "Taima just told me that Cynder has arrived at where Roman is. I'm heading there now. It shouldn't be any more than half an hour." I told them.
Jett came over and gave me a hug and kiss. Willow looked worried. "Be safe." She said.
"Be careful, don't want to lose our Lord Holder." Crystal told me.
"I'll be careful." I told them. I'm porting to your location, now. I sent to Taima and did just that. After arriving. *Where are they?* I sent to her.
*To the left on the other side of the room.* Taima sent back.
I saw where she was talking about. I could see Roman, Cynder, Mercury and Emerald all in a group talking on the other side of the warehouse.
*You stay here. Even as durable as you are, Cynder could kill you.* I sent to Taima. *And with you out of sight, I can use you as a distraction, if I need one.*
I shifted to my small cat form. I was guessing that even if they saw me as a cat, they would not perceive me as a threat, until I changed back to my human form. Once in cat form, I ran towards Roman and Cynder in a roundabout way. I sat just a couple feet from the group and meowed. They all looked at me, but since I looked like a cat, they didn't believe I was a threat.
"A kitten." Emerald said and reached down and picked me up. She scratched me between the ears.
This was going to be easier than I had first thought. I looked around at the group. Then I looked at Cynder and nullified her Maiden Powers, next I nullified her Semblance, and lastly, I nullified the Grimm bug she used to steal half of Amber's Maiden Powers. Then I turned my head and looked at Emerald and nullified her Semblance also. I started squirming to get Emerald to let me go. I dropped to the floor, as I landed, I started to put up a shadow wall around us, using my Shadow Control. At the same time, I shifted back to human form.
Mercury took a defensive stance. Cynder believing she was the most powerful person around just stood there grinning. Emerald looked confused but she had pulled her pistols out and pointed them at me. Roman took a step back, but otherwise did nothing.
"What are you doing here?" Cynder asked in a calm but demanding voice.
I laughed. "I'm here to take care of you." I pointed at Cynder. "And you." I pointed at Mercury. "And you." I turned and pointed at Emerald. "And lastly… you." I pointed at Roman.
"Your only one person. You couldn't even take care of one of us." Mercury said, being his typical arrogant self.
I shook my head. "Your arrogance will get you killed one day." I told Mercury and increased the gravity under him, until he was in a heap on the floor. I leaned over to look him in the eyes. "You were saying? That's one down."
Cynder went from being fairly calm to angry. "Let, him, go!" She demanded.
I just tuned my back on her and looked at Roman. "And you…" I said smiling at Roman. "Will turn yourself in and confess to ALL the crimes you have committed, and you will serve your time without causing any trouble. You will snitch on everyone that helped you, without trying to get a shorter sentence. And you will say NOTHING about Mercury or Emerald." I told him, while pushing it telepathically into his mind, so there would be no way he would not do it.
Roman turned around and walked up to the shadow wall and pushed against it. He turned back to me. "I can't get past this barrier." He stated.
*Roman is coming through the shadow wall. Let him go on his way.* I sent to Taima. *I'll explain later.*
To Roman. "Try it now." I told him.
Roman turned back to the shadow wall and pushed on it again. It gave to his touch, so he walked through the wall and out of sight.
I turned and looked at Mercury again. I held up my hand with two fingers up. "That's two down."
"THAT IS ENOUGH!" Cynder yelled at me. "You will release Mercury. NOW!" She demanded.
I laughed at Cynder. "Or what? You'll hurt me? I'm sooo scared." I mocked her.
Cynder held her hand out like she was expecting something to happen. I'm sure she was trying to make a glass sword, but since I had nullified all of her powers, she wasn't able to do it. "WHAT DID YOU DO?" She yelled.
Emerald at that point started shooting at me with both of her pistols. The bullets just bounced off of me. Now I know what Superman would feel when he is being shot at. It is a strange feeling, being shot at but not getting hurt. The bullets just bouncing off of you. I turned back to Cynder, she looked confused and angry. She was holding her hand out and staring at it.
I was knocked off balance. Emerald hit me from behind with the blade on her pistol. It didn't hurt, but since I hadn't been expecting it, I wasn't prepared to be struck, so it knocked me off balance. I caught myself before I hit the ground. I wagged my finger at her. "Sit down and don't move." I pushed in her mind.
Emerald stopped trying to hit me, stood still for a moment, then sat on the floor.
I turned back to Cynder. She was swinging her harms around. I'm guessing she was trying to use her Semblance or the Maiden Powers and she could not figure out why they were not working.
"If you hadn't been so greedy and controlling, you wouldn't be without your Semblance and the Maiden's Power." I told Cynder.
Cynder's face went from confusion to anger to horror. Then I'm not sure what her expression went to, her face was contorted and looked like a mask. I guess her expression could be called murderous rage. At that point she threw herself at me, swinging her arms and fists and screaming at the top of her lungs.
I just braced myself against her on slot. There was no way she would be able to hurt me. So, I just let Cynder wear herself out.
*What's going on? I hear screaming.* Taima sent to me.
I had to stop myself from laughing. *Cynder is attacking me and screaming at me because I nullified all of her powers. That is what you're hearing.* I told Taima.
*Do you need any help?* Taima asked me.
*No, I'm fine. I'm letting Cynder wear herself out.* I informed Taima.
Next thing I hear is laughing in my head. Taima was laughing at Cynder trying to hurt me. She knows Cynder can't hurt me, so she found it funny. *Can I come in?* She sent.
I thought for a moment. *I don't see why not. Cynder can't hurt you, Emerald is sitting on the floor and Mercury is still stuck to the floor.* I sent to Taima. A moment later Taima ported in behind me. *Be prepared, if Cynder sees you, she might decide to attack you.* I warned Taima.
Cynder's attacks were becoming weaker and slower. She was tiring out.
Taima stood behind me. *I'm here, right behind you.* She told me.
"Who is that?" Emerald asked when she saw Taima standing behind me.
"Who is who!?" Cynder said looking around to see what Emerald was talking about.
I should have silenced Emerald and Mercury. But as the saying goes; hindsight is twenty-twenty.
Cynder spotted Taima and froze for a second.
*Full sized dragon form.* I sent to Taima.
"I'LL KILL HER!" Cynder yelled and lunged at Taima.
I could have blocked Cynder, but I wanted Cynder to get the full impact of Taima's dragon form.
Taima changed from her diminutive human girl form into her full-sized titanium dragon form. We were lucky that we were in a warehouse. Otherwise, she would have destroyed the building we were in.
Cynder slammed into Taima and fell back onto the ground. She definitely was not expecting to run into something as big as a dragon. Taima - dragon looked down at Cynder and grinned. Which probably was not a good thing for her to do, because when a dragon smiles, all you see are TEETH. Cynder curled into a ball on the floor and started shaking.
"Quit smiling at her, Taima. And keep an eye on her while I deal with these two." I told Taima. I turned to Emerald. I had been blocking Emerald's view of what happened to Cynder. I pushed into Emerald's mind. "Emerald, you are a law-abiding citizen. You will find a way to use your Semblance to help others. Maybe by entertaining people with it or you could try to attend one of the Academies and be a Huntress." I told her then dropped the nullification on her Semblance so she could use it again.
I turned to Mercury and reduced the gravity enough to let him sit up and pushed into his mind. "Mercury, you will become a law-abiding citizen also. Just because your father trained you to be an assassin does NOT mean you have to be a killer. You can use your skills to protect people, as in being a bodyguard or you could try to attend one of the academies to be a Huntsman. The both of you don't have to be goody-two-shoes but you will follow the laws the same amount as most people do." I pulled LEIN out of my closet dimension and handed some to each, Emerald and Mercury. "Here is some LEIN to help you along so you can get back on your feet." I told them both. I released them both so they could stand up and handed them the LEIN. I gave them 100,000 LEIN each. I believe the conversion makes it around $1,000. Again, I pushed into both their minds. "If you see Taima and myself again you will recognize us and be friendly with us as if we were good friends. Since you are pretending to be attending Haven Acadamy, you might want to talk to Headmaster Ozpin and see if you can attend Beacon Acadamy. I'm Eilwyn, of Team JWCE, by the way." I told them.
I turned to Mercury. "Where is Salem?" I asked him while looking into his mind.
He looked shocked. "She is on the continent north of Vacuo and north-west of Vale. I don't know exactly where she is, but it is in the northern part of the continent." He told me. While he was talking, I pulled out the location of Salem by following his memory of how he, Emerald and Cynder traveled to Salem's location.
"Thank you. You can go and start your new lives." I told them both and dropped the Shadow Wall so they could leave. Then I turned back to Cynder, who was still curled up in a tight ball on the floor.
"Human form, please." I said to Taima and a moment later she was back in her human form.
I pushed into Cynder's mind. "Relax and calm down, the dragon is gone."
Cynder stopped shaking. She sat up and looked around, then she looked at me.
"You will go to the police and confess to all the crimes you have committed." I pushed into her mind. "You will be a model inmate. And if you are ever released you will be a law-abiding citizen. You will NOT mention anything about Mercury or Emerald." I instructed her then motioned for Cynder to leave.
Cynder stood up, looked at me and Taima for a moment then headed out of the warehouse.
When Cynder was gone, I looked at Taima. "We should get back to the dorm and let the others know what happened."
Taima grinned. "They'll be dying to know." She said and giggled.
We ported back to our dorm room. After relaxing for a few minutes, I told my Team what had happened at the Warehouse.
"So, they're all in jail?" Willow asked.
"No, Mercury and Emerald are still free, but they are now out helping people instead of hurting them. Cynder and Roman should be in jail by now, or at least making confessions of all their crimes and will be behind bars shortly." I explained.
"Why didn't you have Mercury and Emerald turn themselves in to the police?" Crystal asked.
"Because of extenuating circumstances. Mercury was abused and trained to be an assassin. And once he was free of that, the first person to show up was someone, Cynder, that wanted to USE him for her own purposes. As for Emerald, I believe she was a street urchin. She was living on the streets, so she turned to petty theft to survive. And again, Cynder found her, took her in and USED her for her own purposes. Because of that, I gave them a chance to do some good and have a better life." I told her.
Crystal nodded her head in understanding. "I see why you let them go. They were both in bad situations and then used by Cynder."
I nodded my head, yes.

nora the arc au) nora knows this isn't the worst loss she's ever had but for the life of her she can't remember any of the others. it was supposed to be a nice relaxing trip into the city for thier team. team rwby had decided to join in they said they wanted to enjoy the festival but nora didn't buy it. still they were all having fun and she had managed to get her and jaune alone but right when it was about to get really fun
there was an explosion and jaune was gone, launched away ancestors knew where and she had to get to him but these people who had the GAUL TO WEAR HER FAMILY'S SYMBOL WERE IN HER WAY!
and now here she was beaten up and forced to listen to some guy monologue about how he was going to set jaune free so he could be the greatest knight in arc history or something
basically the guy was pissed because he was a jaune fan boy and she was the only one who was gonna get that arc D. at least that's what she got from it. oh wait he was finishing up now
"now do you see? jaune shouldn't be tied to anyone his destiny lies far beyond any of you! he is like me a lion! and a lion cares not for the opinions of sheep!" "maybe" said jaune his voice tightly controled but with more anger and hatred in it than nora had ever heard "but they really should mind the shepherd" jaune had just unlocked his semblance. and boy was he pissed
Nora's ears were ringing. Her eyes were open, but her vision was blurry. She was moving, but it wasn't forward. She felt tired, so she closed her eyes. She needed to sleep. She wanted Jaune.
"Nora!" Jaune cried out. He couldn't see, he smelled smoke, his ears were ringing, he could taste blood, and he felt pain all over his body. He tried to move, but his muscles screamed in defiance. "Nora!"
"She can't hear you." A voice said, the ringing in Jaune's ears continued, but he heard the voice clearly. Jaune felt his body move, rubble digging into his back as he was dragged. "No one can." Jaune heard him chuckle. "Well, they probably can, but they're too busy dealing with the blast." He heard other voices mumbling, but the voice he heard spoke clearly. "I have him. Everyone meet at the rendezvous point." The other voices subsided, but the clear one remained. "Just hang in there. You're going to make it."
"Who..." Jaune coughed, "Who are you?"
"We're the members of your court, your majesty," he voice answered, "and your kingdom awaits."
"Jaune?!" Pyrrha called out. "Nora?!" Everything happened so fast, Pyrrha could barely understand it.
One moment, she and her team were out, walking around Vale with Team RWBY. They were all laughing and smiling, except for Weiss, but that was to be expected since Yang kept making jokes to her. Ruby and Jaune were talking about the latest issue of her favorite comic, his hand around Nora's. Blake was listening to Nora ramble about her thoughts on sloths in the media, while the latter held Jaune's hand. Ren was quietly window-shopping as they walked, while she walked in the dead center of the group, eavesdropping between conversations. Everything was perfect.
The next, the entire block became a war zone. Windows blasted outward, shards of glass flying like miniature knives and cutting pedestrians, including those without their aura unlocked. Jaune shielded Nora, but was singled out in the chaos and struck unconscious from behind. Nora roared something in anger, but she was also rendered unconscious. Before anyone could react, the aggressors pulled out their guns, one holding theirs to Nora's head.
Everyone froze, even as the smoke-bomb was dropped. Once their vision was clouded, a small, white package was tossed out, complete with a black string and a red, flashing light. Pyrrha dove away, pulling a postal dropbox from the ground with her semblance to shield her. The box was sent skyward, and as the smoke cleared, Jaune and the two attackers were gone, leaving Nora unconscious on the ground.
Pyrrha rushed to her, checking her vitals. With a light moan, Pyrrha sighed in relief. Her friend wasn't dead. She looked up and saw Ren running to her, as well as Ruby and Yang. Blake was tending to Weiss' injuries, the heiress taking more damage than the others after walking in front of the window's center when the explosion occurred.
"How is she?" Ren asked.
"Alive," Pyrrha answered. "What about you? Any injuries?" Ren shook his head. He reached into his waist-bag and pulled out a first aid kit, but she held out her hand. "It's too dangerous on the street. Help me move her to the alley." Ren nodded, taking Nora's shoulder under his, as Pyrrha did the same.
"We'll spread out and look for Jaune." Yang said. "They couldn't have gotten far."
"Call the Academy," Ren replied as he prepared bandages, "let them know what happened."
"On it!" Ruby declared as she pulled out her scroll, thankfully unharmed by the explosion. She dialed and began speaking into her scroll.
"I'll go with Yang." Blake said, carrying Weiss on her shoulder, "I'll leave Weiss to you." Ren nodded, and Pyrrha helped Weiss to the triage Ren had set up. Yang and Blake made their way down the alley, following the closest exit Jaune was most likely taken.
Pyrrha looked to Nora's unconscious form. She whimpered something under her breath. "Jaune will be fine," Pyrrha said, "I promise."
Jaune's eyes stung as spotlights blinded his vision. He couldn't see beyond the lights. He shut his eyes to adjust, shaking his head to numb the pain. He tried to reach up with his hands to rub his eyes, but he felt he was bound to a chair.
"Are you awake, sire?" The voice echoed, but this time, it wasn't in his mind. The clack of boots on concrete had him turn his gaze forward, carefully opening his eyes. "Ah, there you are," the blurry silhouette cooed, " and here I was, thinking you wouldn't make it." They chuckled. Jaune couldn't see what they were wearing, but who ever they were, their form was large; wide and tall, they cast a long shadow over Jaune. "Are you comfortable, my liege?"
"Who... are you?" Jaune felt weak, like it was taking all of his energy to simply speak.
"We are The Order of the New Moon," the voice said, "and you are our king."
"...What?"
"Look back on the past, your majesty, and you will see that we have always existed. From the shadows, we have served your family, doing what your family could not." The figure walked forward, and Jaune could clearly see their chest. It was a chest-plate, much like his own, but with the Arc family emblem engraved into it. His heart leapt to his throat. "Remnant is dying, your lordship. Vacuo is without law, a desert devoid of decency. Atlas enforces law with an iron fist, protecting their own while casting a cold shadow on it's neighbors. Mistral is overrun with Grimm, and bandits prey on the survivors left by the beasts. Menagerie is overcrowded with refugees and breeds discontent with it's pitiful fangs. Vale is the only Kingdom that thrives, because she is under the watchful eyes of the Arcs!" The figure threw their hands outward. "Can you see it, your radiance?!"
"You're...crazy..." Jaune shook his head, hoping this was just a strange dream. "Nora?"
"Ah, yes," the voice became venomous, "her." The figure stepped away, rounding to behind Jaune, blinding him with light once more. "You don't have to worry about her, sire. She will not distract you any longer. After all, you are the rightful king of this world. Who could deny you a harem of any woman you want? Think of it, your majesty; women, far as the eye can see, their curves begging to be touched, their forms wanting of yours, and it's all yours for the taking." The voice whispered in his ear. "What say you, your grace?"
"Get... away... from me..." Jaune growled. "Let... me... GO!"
Blake's ears perked. She held up a hand, signaling Yang to stop. She crouched behind a dumpster, leaning against it and peering around the corner. Yang crouched next to her. "What's up, Blake?"
"I heard someone shout." Blake answered. "I think it was from that building."
Straight ahead of them, at the end of the alley where it split in two directions, was a large brick building, and it looked like no one had been living there for years. The windows were boarded on the lower floors, and the upper floor windows were smashed. There was a homeless man sitting outside, wearing a wool cap and a torn, blue trenchcoat.
"You sure?" Blake nodded. "Well, let's get going!"
"Wait." Blake ordered. "It looks unguarded."
"So?"
"So it might only look unguarded," Blake explained, "but it could be a trap. We need to wait until the others catch up. Going in alone would only cause trouble for us."
Yang groaned. "Fine, we'll do it your way. Let's head back."
"No."
"No?"
"No."
"I'm starting to think that's your favorite word."
"I'll head back and let them know the situation. If anything goes wrong, call my scroll."
"Fine!" Yang groused, "Did you know that you're no fun?"
"Noted." Blake said before running back down the alleyway.
Yang sighed. "Well, this got boring." She leaned against the dumpster, eyeing the building. "Hopefully they don't take too long."
"Nora, sit down!" Pyrrha pleaded. The girl had been pacing back and forth between the alley entrance and her friends for the past ten minutes. "You're still injured, and Ruby already told us Professor Goodwitch is on her way. We'll find Jaune soon, I promise."
Nora stopped in her tracks and glared at the Champion. "Do you Arc promise, Pyrrha Nikos?"
Pyrrha didn't answer. Normally, if she answered yes, Nora would laugh it off, calling her a liar. But Nora had a dangerous look in her eyes; a mixture of rage and hurt echoed from the orbs. Pyrrha chose silence as the better option for the current situation.
"At least stop pacing back and forth," Weiss groaned, "you're giving me a headache!"
"Oh, I'm so sorry, Weiss Schnee!" Nora mocked. "See, I wasn't aware my pacing was causing you so much pain! Maybe if you paid more attention, this wouldn't have happened!"
"How is this my fault?" Weiss groused.
"I mean, it's not like Weiss started bombing everything." Ruby offered. When Nora turned her gaze on her, Ruby realized her mistake too late.
"Maybe not, Ruby Rose," Nora growled as she approached the team leader, "but I need my anger focused on someone, and the scumbags I want to hurt most aren't here, so I have to make due with what I do have!"
"Why are you last naming everyone?" Ren asked. He was unfazed as Nora snapped her attention to him.
"Because, Ren Lie-"
"Lie Ren."
"Because, Lie Ren," Nora said, correcting herself, "someone is dragging my family name through the mud, and I'm so furious, I can't even see straight!" She turned to the group, face red and veins bulging from her head. "So yeah, I'm really freaking miffed about this whole thing!"
"I appreciate your self-control, Miss Valkyrie." Nora spun and saw Professor Goodwitch approaching, followed by Headmaster Ozpin, a taller man and woman behind them. The tall woman wore her white hair in a bun and carried a sword on her hip, while the unknown man had metal plate above his brow and was built like a skyscraper. "I understand Mr. Arc is not with you."
"No, he isn't!" Nora snapped. "Some creeps took him away to who knows where, and we're all just sitting around, twiddling our thumbs!"
"Is anyone injured?" The white-haired woman asked.
"Just me, sister." Weiss answered.
"Oh, and how did that happen?"
"I was caught in the bomb blast. It came from inside one of the shops that was passing by."
"You grew complacent and you let your guard down." Winter replied, walking to her sister. "You became injured because you weren't expecting the worst." She knelt down. "The only positive out of this is that you didn't perish."
Weiss looked down, defeated, and avoided her sister's critical eye. "I'm sorry."
Winter lifted her chin, tears in her eyes. "Don't be. I'm glad you're alright."
Blake ran from the alleyway, stopping just a few yards from the sisters. "Uh, did I miss something?"
"You're missing the point, sire!"
"No, I understand the point perfectly." Jaune spat back. "I understand that you learned about literal ancient history about my family, did a lot of research into fairy tales, and came up with a half-brained scheme to use my family's name to overthrow the government."
"Ah, how wise you are, my liege! And so critical, too! Your keen eye and judgement shall make you the perfect ruler of Remnant!"
"Yeah, the perfect puppet while you all work from the shadows, creating a new world order of... what, exactly?"
"An end to all wars! An end to the Grimm! True, everlasting peace to everyone."
"Uh-huh. And how are we going to do that?"
"When the academies fall, the people will scramble for a new leader, and they will find us, ready and waiting with open arms!"
"I... I think I get it." Jaune said with a sigh. "I understand everything. The world's broken, and it needs one government to guide it, save it from the Grimm."
"Yes!" The shadow laughed. "Yes! Yes, you finally understand! You need only renounce your allegiance to Beacon and we can begin training you to become our king!"
"Fine." Two more shadows emerged and undid the binds to his hands, then helped him to his feet. He took a few steps forward, and the lights died out, letting darkness envelop the room once more. He rubbed his wrists as the shuffling sound of feet surrounded him. He looked around, but he couldn't see anything.
A light above him came on, lighting the room and temporarily blinding him. As his vision returned, he saw he was in a cramped room, only four walls of about twenty feet wide encompassed the room. The floor was made of concrete and the ceiling above was made of wooden planks.
"Sire," the illuminated shadow spoke as he bowed, "welcome to The Brotherhood." The shadow was a large man with black hair, brown eyes, and was an easy two-hundred pounds of muscle. He was wearing a white robe with golden fringes, his family emblem on his back. In his hands, he held a staff with three spear-tips arranged in a triangle formation.
Behind him was a slender woman in the same white robe. She had her cowl down, but Jaune noticed the yellow, fluffy, and long dog-tail behind her. She wore white gloves with a metal band on the back, wrapping around to the palms.
The third robed figure was much shorter than the other two. Their cowl was also over their hood. Jaune couldn't see a weapon in their hands, but that just made him feel more anxious.
"Uh, so, what now?" Jaune asked.
"Now, you must address your people." He stamped his staff to the floor, and the two figures quickly moved to decorate the basement with ornaments and banners of his family emblem. Once arranged, they began setting up the camera.
The tap of shoes on wood nearby drew his attention to the stairs. An older gentleman wearing a white suit walked down the steps. He had blue eyes, blonde hair, and a soft smile across his scarred lips.
The next words caused Jaune's blood to turn cold. "I'm your dear uncle, Jaune, Michael Angeleo."
Yang yawned as she eyed the homeless guy sleeping in front of the building. This was turning into a long stake-out. She pulled out her scroll, hoping Blake sent a text or something. No new messages. "Damn."
She glanced at the building, then opened the internet app on her scroll. The homepage featured a story on Vale News. She tried to scroll up to the address bar, but she accidentally tapped the news story instead. She quietly groaned as the video played. At least it was better than nothing.
"Good afternoon, Vale," the news anchorwoman greeted, "this is Lisa Lavender with breaking news in the Vale bombing that took place mere hours ago. The bombing took place in the Vale shopping district, destroying at least a dozen businesses, but thankfully, harming much fewer." Yang rolled her eyes. "Business owners claimed they recieved a notice to evacuate their facilities, as an unknown caller warned them to escape by the emergency back-door exits, claiming the explosives were placed at their entrances. The police are urg-"
The news broadcast was interrupted as static enveloped Yang's video player. She groaned and tapped on screen to play the video, but stopped when the static dissipated.
And Jaune stood in front of the camera.
"Uh, hello?" Jaune said through the screen. Nora almost cried as she watched the screen while following Blake. He was alive! Her betrothed was alive! "Oh, right! Uh, hi, I'm, uh, Jaune Arc. Short, sweet, and rolls off the tongue. The ladies love it. Uh, anyways, you're probably wondering who was responsible for the bombings today in Vale. That, uh, that was us. We did that. Hand to, uh, god?" Jaune held his hand up, fingers spread with his thumb tucked in. "Gods? Spirits?"
"What the hell is this?" Ironwood growled.
"A hostage situation." Nora answered.
"How do you know?" Winter asked.
"I'm going to marry him, that's how I know." Nora answered. Ironwood rolled his eyes, but she didn't care. "He's got four people in there with him, and they're not a cult."
"Uh, so, yeah, I'm supposed to tell you that the four Kingdoms are bad." Jaune continued. "The past century alone has seen war over racism, and everyone is too selfish and bitter to forgive and forget. But not my family. We've protected Remnant, and we're going to keep doing so."
Nora heard an echo and looked up. Yang was leaning against the dumpster, eyes glued to the video. She looked up and smirked. "Looks like the cavaly's here." She stood up and dusted herself. "Looks like it's just the homeless guy guarding this place. Should be easy with all of us."
"Uh, Yang?" Blake pointed.
Yang followed her finger. The homeless man was gone. "Shit."
Jaune licked his lips. He was staring at the whole world, declaring war on it with his 'uncle' of all people. The situation was going to get worse before it got better. "I know you're probably wondering who I am. Well, my name..." he gulped, "My name is Jaune Arc and..." he pulled his ring off his finger. He stared at the metal band. Tears welled in his eyes as he looked at the camera. "I'm..."
He closed his fist around the ring, crying. His mind flooded with thoughts of Nora. Her infectious laugh. Her kind smile. Her warm embrace. Her sweet kisses. Her words echoed in his mind.
It made him sick what he was about to do. He was going to leave her alone. He was going to abandon her, just like...
"I'm the man who's going to marry Nora Valkyrie!"
"That wasn't your line, Jaune!" A voice growled.
"And you're not an Arc, Michael Angeleo!" Jaune roared back. "You're just a coward too afraid to do things yourself! I'm ending The Brotherhood, and I'm starting with you!
Nora watched as Jaune kicked the screen, knocking over the camera. Nora dropped her scroll and rushed past the group.
"Nora!" Yang called out.
"Miss Valkyrie, wait!" Professor Goodwitch beckoned.
"Stop!" The skyscraper barked.
Nora ignored all of it. She broke through the door, smashing it into splinters with Magnhild. She stopped inside and listened. She couldn't hear anything except the muffled shouting outside.
Jaune wasn't in a good position. He was fighting three opponents with weapons while he was unarmed. The two at Michael's side readied their weapons. Jaune held up his fists at his side.
He was hoping his dad's training would come in handy. It was mostly Grimm training, but the weapons weren't too dissimilar.
The large man charged in with his trident, keeping it's points low. Jaune held his ground backed away until he hit the wall behind him. He thrusted forward, piercing the concrete wall as Jaune dodged to the man's right, out of his range.
The dog-faunus pounced next. She tripped Jaune with a low kick, sending him to the ground. He landed hard on his back, and the girl leapt upon him with her palms out, piercing the concrete floor with the jagged spike of her ashiko. She swung to strike Jaune with her other hand, but he batted it aside and grabbed her shirt by her collar. He headbutted her, both reeling from the pain.
As she rolled off in pain, Jaune staggered to his feet, meeting Micheal's eyes. He didn't look angry, just disappointed. The two closed the gap between them, and the two clashed.
Jaune punched at Michael's face, but the older man ducked, then swung up, sending Jaune into the ceiling with an uppercut. His vision whited, then felt something hard and fast strike and hold his neck.
"So disappointing." Michael said with a sigh.
"Come on, Jauney," Nora whispered, "give me a sign." A loud thump lifted her off her feet from below. She smirked. "There you are!"
She swung Magnhild down, breaking the wooden floor into splinters. She jumped down the hole, her back to the backside some creep with blonde hair. Before he could fully register her, she swung a full one-eighty with her hammer. She was sure she heard a satisfying crack of ribs in the process.
As he flew, he dropped... Jaune! She rushed to him, standing over him, like a mother protecting her cub.
The man stood, holding his sides. "I take it you're Nora." He sneered.
Nora didn't answer. She shifted Magnhild to launcher mode, and pointed it directly at him. She pulled the trigger, and the man disappeared in the explosion.
The building shook, but remained standing. As the smoke cleared, she saw the man was gone. She scanned her surroundings, finding the rest of the room empty.
"Nora!" She looked up, seeing Blake looking down at her. "Is everything okay? Where's Michael? And where's Jaune?"
Nora took a deep breath. She knelt down, folding Magnhild. She held Jaune in her arms, cradling his head. He mumbled, and Nora cried. "He's alive! Jaune's alive!"
Michael stumbled forward, carried by Seth while Cherri scouted ahead. Nek remained close in sympathy. He groaned at his pain. That girl did a number on him, but his nephew couldn't lay a finger on him.
'Every man has his weakness,' he thought, 'and I have yours, Jaune.'

more head cannons
90% rose garden might get a little spicy kind of I guess but don't worry I'll tell you when
Oscar will just sometimes decide to build shit weather it's a tree house a new piece of furniture a whole new gun or even a whole small house that one time, he never has a plan or anything and ruby just has to watch as he trials and errors himself into success or the e.r
After they get together ruby becomes a lot less reckless cause she doesn't want to leave Oscar alone like her summer did with tai
they smoke together pretty often ruby is a giggler everything is hilarious oscar is a talker usually hes more reserved but if hes smoking he’ll say anything that come to mind
Yang and Oscar weren't super close before but they become like brother and sister they discover they have a lot in common mostly a love for ruby and mechanics
If they get married ren affiliates and qrow and tai give ruby away it's a small simple wedding but rubies dress almost gives Oscar a heart attack and he only barely held it together until they kissed the man cried for probably 20 minutes the whole time with the biggest smile
The best man is Jaune and the maid of honor was Weiss
There stag parties were very different Oscar and the guys sat around played games drank and drank some beer ruby and the ladies committed several crimes that ruby made them all swear never happened
I think that Oscar probably doesn't stay a huntsmen very much longer than necessary he enjoys helping people and never really retires until ruby does but he likes to keep time in the field to a minimum
When ruby does retire it's in her late 20s being a huntress is hard on your body so I imagine most don't stay in the game much longer than there mid 30s qrow being an exemption
They both become teachers at either beacon or signal I think Oscar is more likely to go to beacon where as ruby prefers signal
Technically atlas is rubies alma mater which is incredibly awkward to talk about when they bring up school reunions considering its at the bottom of the ocean
Oscars was shade so he could go to the reunions it's just that he does not know a single person there he did not go to class Theodore just kind of handed him a license as an afterthought and that he's about 6 years younger than most people in his graduating class
They talk about having kids when there both working and they both agree they want some but they don't really ever plan for anything they just sorta agree that they'll have some eventually
when Oscar gets stressed out he wanders around and rambles so sometimes he and ruby will go on two or three hour walks where he talks about absolutely nothing the whole time and ruby just listens
when ruby gets super stressed she gets quiet and needs to take her mind off things which works well for them both  if there both stressed
there are tournaments similar to the vital festival all over remnant its Vacuos national sport team rwby competes a lot and Oscar is rubies biggest fan his voice is usually sore after
ruby eventually gained the nickname red reaper in vacuo fighting circuits and Oscar buys a tee shirt that someone made and wears it to sleep  and maybe he also bought  an unlicensed action figure
I think it would be neat if they open a weapons shop called pines and roses
Oscar sometimes accidently conflates himself with ozpin ruby always reminds him that hes his own person
they buy things for each other all the time mostly stupid little things that they think the others will like
//spicy time//
there first time was planed when they were 19 and 21ruby and Oscar discussed it first they both agreed they were ready and ruby asked to plan it she wanted to make it really special so she rented a cabin out somewhere nice and made it as romantic at possible candles dinner and at the end of the night she lead him to the bedroom and they spent the whole night together
there was one time yang walked in on them and while they were obviously very embarrassed yang has still not let either of them live it down
ruby likes to give Oscar hickeys she likes how flustered he gets about it
your kidding yourself if you think Oscar is a top the boy can barely look a pretty girl in the eyes
