I love Jacques’s death because it’s so in character for both of them.

James had no real reason to do that. Jacques was locked up, and even if he escaped there was nothing he could do. He has no influence, no wealth, no power, no physical skill. James only killed him because he was once an enemy, once a threat, and holds no loyalty or use to James now.

Meanwhile, Jacques’s downfall came at the hands of a former ally who he snubbed and turned against for the pettiest of reasons. His death was unimportant and easily forgotten, made significant only by the person who did it.

Ding dong, the Evil Queen is finally dead.

What I really liked/Loved about Rwby Volume 8 (Spoilers warning)

Hi everyone! It's a been a bit since Rwby volume 8 came to a close and I wanted to talk about it. These are going to be in two parts, this part is about things I really liked and the second Is where I discuss things I didn't like very much. Now, two things I wanna make clear before I say anything- this is not meant to be rwde or some kind of hate post. I think the team does the best it can and I have no malicious intent towards them. This just me stating my opinions and explaining my feelings as best as I can. If you believe this or part 2 constitutes as rwde, I will tag it as such, but again, this is not meant to be rwde or hate. Let's get started and warning- there will be Spoilers

The Bumblebee Head Touch - it was a really sweet moment between the bees, especially after the fact they were under the impression that they could never see each again. Really thought they were gonna kiss though.

The sisters conflict - though I feel that yang was being a bit hypocritical, I enjoyed seeing the conflict between her and ruby because of how interesting it was and the opposing sides that were beginning to form due to hopelessness.

The Hound - the Hound and the reveal of what the Hound was legitimately surprised and somewhat frightened me. The idea that there were people under there- one of them very well being summer rose- just sent a chill down my spine. What a twist.

Penny becoming a real girl - it made me so happy to see Penny come back and when she finally became real, I was just floored. I loved it, but i loved it more because Penny was always my favorite character.

Ambrosius/Jinn - I am so sorry if I misspelled his name but I absolutely loved Ambrosius and his energy. He was an absolute joy. I liked the moment when Cinder used the last question with Jinn and Jinn hesitated for a moment. Like she somewhat cared for Ruby and almost didn't give Cinder her answer because she cared so much.

Ren And Nora's arcs - at first, Ren's distance and change of character was a little off putting to me. It just seemed to come out of nowhere, but I loved where it led soon after. I loved how Nora waited to start anything serious so she can discover herself a little more and I loved how Ren got to vent about how he may have signed up to be a huntsman, he didn't sign up to stop the end of the world.

Cinder and Salem getting called on their bullshit- I glad that FINALLY someone decided to say something about how petty Salem was being just because Ozma didn't want to kill people for power. And I'm also glad that Watts, despite being close to death, called Cinder out. A lot of fans didn't like that Cinder was always cocky and sure of herself, and it was nice to see that being acknowledged, especially when Salem came back in the end.

Oscar and Ozpin - Neither of them wanted what was happening to them. Neither of them thought it would get this bad, and I'm glad they talked about it. I'm so happy and sad that to make it up to Oscar, Ozpin wanted to front and take the hits from Hazel and Salem.

Emerald The Antihero - Emerald always seemed to wavering with whether or not she should just leave and she did. She isn't totally best friends with the team but that was never the point. She got a front row seat and saw what she had done to the people. Now, she's on a road to redemption.

Cameos! - We got to see some familiar faces! Glynda, the shopkeeper, Taiyang and Zwei, Sun and Neptune, Illia- I loved it.

May Marigold says TRANS RIGHTS BITCH- That was something that really got me excited. No questions asked.

Soundtrack- I really enjoyed this season's sound track and how emotional it was. It fit well with the volume and the the tone it was going for.

Marrow and Winter's Conflict- I think we all saw it coming, especially after Ironwood just stepped out into the hallway and shot someone, but the arcs are welcomed nonetheless.

Winter and Penny - they really did care about each other and I'm glad they acknowledged that in the finale.

Willow, Whitley, and Weiss - this is what I wanted to see. The schnee family coming together to protect one another and forgive each other for what happened.

Jaques is dead (thank God)

For now, that is all I can think of. Anything that I didn't mentioned I either will put in part two or I just forgot.
