I've been planning on doing a small crossover between Wonder Woman and Big Barda. When I shared my idea & sketch for my crossover with @rymslim on Twitter, imagine my surprise and sheer glee when he asked to collab with me and if he could draw his Barda into the piece 😳😳🙌🙌 I'm still pinching myself! Hello again Godstaff. I was looking at "rymslim" awesome Spider-verse art, so it made me curious. Which alternate version of Spiderman is your favorite one? Is it Miles Morales? Miguel 'O'Hara/Spiderman 2099? Superior Spiderman/Doc Ock? Or Ben Reilly? Spider Noir (didn't read his comics though lol)? Or spider-ham? Spider-Gwen?

I'm not a fan of "legacy characters". I can accept a character who, in the far future, takes the mantle of the original after he/she passes away or grows old, but I don't agree with having tons of Spideys under the pretext of being inclusive. You can say "well, they are from different universes" to which I respond that there are already a ton of spiders in the "official" universe: spider woman, silk and others, The Spider Army/Web Warriors.

This tendency strips the original character of his/her uniqueness: if everybody is super, then nobody is.

What? There was an invasion of radioactive spiders?

The best way of being inclusive is to create new, original characters from different ethnicities, gender and cultures, and make them interesting, but it seems there's not enough imagination around for that.
