I know it's mostly because of Gameplay Reasons but... can we talk about how van Zieks DOESN'T kick Ryuunosuke out of his office when the later is being an annoyance? :) It's almost as if he's doesn't mind his presence as much as he lets on. YOUR FOOLING NO ONE, MAN!

Barok is a gentleman even in the face of someone making absurd claims about the prosecutor keeping corpses inside the office. What a polite man ;)

Can we also talk about Ryuu going to Barok's face and asking him about his dead brother without so much as a good morning? And Barok actually decides to respond to him and open up at least a little? The man has much more patience than he lets on...

OHHHH YES! Ryuu deserves a tall vampire boyfriend as a treat!! Also, this is just going to be my Barok van Zieks 🤝Fitzwilliam Darcy propaganda at work XD PRE-RELATIONSHIP 4. Who felt romantic feelings first? This may be a surprise, but I feel like Barok would be the one who felt feelings first lmaoo Mostly amplified by his gratitude after 2-4/5, he's the total Austen Love Interest (complete with a lake because yes XD). Because he's still somewhat has his Darcy-isms, I feel like he would try to suppress his feelings because he feels that Ryuu deserves better than him T-T GENERAL 2. Did they have a first official date? I like to think that it just kind of ended up like that rather than something planned! Ryuu probably invited him to Japan to show him around because they kept up correspondence via letters (and he's a dorky boy who TOTALLY doesn't have a crush on the tall leggy vampire man =3=). Because I'm a total sucker for cherry blossoms and the tropes with it, he probably arrived in time for the hanami festival, they got to walk around and eat sweets and watch fireworks <3 And Ryuu just casually fell asleep on Barok's shoulder XD LOVE 2. What are their primary love languages? For Barok, I think he's a man of actions being louder than words. Surprisingly enough, I like to think that he shows his love through gentle touches, whether it's just a hand squeeze late at night or holding his arm out for Ryuu to hold or gentle caresses during a lazy morning. This man is touch-starved and likes to cuddle T-T For Ryuu, he likes doing things for his partner. He likes to run errands for Barok, or just setting up a nice dinner as a surprise (to the best of his abilities poor guy), or even just getting a bottle of vintage wine that he think Barok would like that evening! It's his way of showing that he cares! <3

Headcanon: Barok is in Ryuunosuke's room (for whatever reason), he examines the acuarium and in sweet, sweet revenge for Ryuunosuke insulting his bats all those months ago, he says "Are these little prawns your familiars? Why, my learned friend, I always knew you were a siren in disguise, but the confirmation is nice."

I mean, maybe he planned to visit Iris and took a detour lol
