i often worry that by talking about it i will jinx it, but one of the very few fandom predictions/expectations i really hope ofmd actually comes through on is a future episode title card made out of the clothing articles that ed and stede haphazardly discard on their way towards whichever surface they've decided to fuck nasty on.

Something I’d love to see in s2 is a flashback to how the crew of The Revenge was recruited.

Like, how DID Stede find all these folks? Did he just hop down to the local market and set up a table? Did he conduct job interviews with a lil clipboard (a montage of these would be fucking amazing)? Was it a Seven Samurai thing where he hired one crew member and they led him to the rest?

I’ve seen other shows do it and I think it would be terribly frustrating and really cool for OFMD to do it as well.

Stede and Ed are on bad terms, Ed not accepting his apology and kicking him out of his own shop and then throughout the first few episodes they just keep running into each other and Stedes just like

“See? We make a good team! Come on!”

And Ed just…can’t disagree because they make it out of several life threatening situations together.

LET ED AND MARY MEET!!!

Let Ed hear that Stede is dead and heartbrokenly come ashore to find out for himself.

Let him hear of this Widow Bonnet and go to investigate.

Let Mary not know who he really is at first, just that fucking Blackbeard is staying in her house.

Let him join the Widow Group as the mysterious Blackbeard with hurt he won’t speak too long on. The Blackbeard that calls himself a widower.

Let the widows help him slowly start to bring Ed back out. Just a little bit.

Let one of them ask him once they’ve gotten closer what his real name is.

Let Ed tell them “my name is Ed” and Mary drop her tea when she connects the dots and realizes her ex husband fell in love with fucking BLACKBEARD (with less vomiting this time).

Let Mary break the news to him that not only is Stede not dead, but that he’s out there looking for him, and that he said he loves him.

Let Ed not believe it at first, and Mary tell him about how he faked his death. How Stede said something about “pulling a fuckery.”

Let Ed, not fully absolved of his anger and hurt and rightfully so, but with renewed determination at hearing all of this, go after Stede.

Caitlyn on a revenge trip, Vi on a guity trip and Jinx finally killing somebody from Piltover that is important enough to really matter. Because, let’s face it, enforcers die right and left and nobody cares unless it’s Jinx’s doing. We have seen this before.
