“A humble begining of a university hood”

Hello everyone, this is the master post for all the buildings I created for my university hood. There isn’t much in here yet but I have plans to build greek houses, houses for students to rent and corner shops maybe an arcade. 

I used the Pitchfork River map which is made by M.M.A.A. from Modthesims. I added the map and the links to the lots under the cut as I will keep updating this post to link to the new builds I make in the future. 

The buildings are numbered to make it easier for navigation.

Here is a closeup of the main attraction of the building and the reason for why almost all of the lots have L shapes. This Square is what I was aiming to create.

Snail’s Pace Grocery Project: Part III default_shasta_bg_freezercaseschrome updated! The original file reduced the chrome freezers’ shine (seen here) but the 2022 version also includes a not-very-noticeable mapping fix: the handle, the door’s inner frame, and the (slimmer) interior shelves now pull their texture from the back of the freezer. It’s just a ~little~ less flood-fill looking.

Snail’s Pace Grocery Project: Part IV Bananas! High poly! shasta_producebin_addon_center (2028 polys) and shasta_producebin_addon_corner (2815 polys) happened after the original bins’ fruit lumps made me sad. The center file includes four colors, the corner one has two, and both require the moveobjects cheat.

shasta_producebin_invisiblerc_center and shasta_producebin_invisiblerc_corner are recolors that also include edits to remove the shadows. If you like OMSPs and lots of polys, you could go wild with the Seasons gardening clutter.

Evergreen Campus Shops - 3x3 - Clothing and Electronics Shops

Hello everyone,

This is the last build for my University so far. I have plans for building some houses for rent, another but more modern looking dorm, possible greek houses with modern architecture, as I’m not a fan of eclectic buildings, and a little corner grocer in the residential area. 

I will share the map and the ‘hood view when I find the time to show you all, how I planned for these 4 lots to appear. I’m open to ideas about what else I can build for the university hood.

hi shasta! I looove the grocery store stuff overhaul, thank you so much! I was wondering if you by chance also have a version of the produce bin defaults that is only a mesh default (+mapping fix), but does not default the textures? I would like the ugly fruit lumps removed as well, but would like to keep the maxis textures for the bins as I am using them in grocery stores I've grown rather attached to :p

Haven Beach - 4x5 - Beach

This is the first lot of the Haven area of my ‘hood. This is a beach lot for your sims to visit and play around. Has a bar and grill as well as a wedding mat over the sand overlooking the ocean.

The Static - 3x2 - Teen Hangout

Hey everyone!

It’s been a while since I shared sims 2 builds and there will be a lot more coming starting with this lot. It is a teen hangout I built for my custom hood. I’m building my hood on the Grandrapits map from MTS. I like it a lot and recommend the map to anyone interested.

Verona City Mall - 3x3 - Mall

Hello everyone,

This is an edit of another lot I created a while back. I edited the exterior to fit in with Veronaville’s architecture because I made this lot for my downtown of Veronaville; Verona City! It has a pet shop, clothing store, grocery store and electronics store.

The Static of Verona - 3x3 - Teen Hangout (roller skate rink)

Hello everyone,

Like the previous lot, this is also an edit of another lot I’ve built a while back. I’ve created this one to go along with Veronaville’s architecture and it is in the downtown I’m building for Veronaville: Verona City.

There is a small dance floor, arcade games, grill and a skating rink inside the lot. I use it as a teen hangout but you can easily use it primarily as a skating rink.

The Narwhal Arms (TS2 Version) - 3x3 - Nightclub

Here is my first build for my Veronaville Downtown (Verona City) project. TS4′s The Narwhal Arms nightclub, the one partyhaus members hangs out in, is my favourite nightclub layout and I reimagined it in Sims 2. I think it’s style blends well with Veronaville’s architecture.

Founder’s Restaurant - 3x1 - Restaurant

This is the first restaurant (more like a diner maybe) lot in my hood. It was a warehouse just like the nightclub but the founder sims turned it into a restaurant, hence the garage doors.

Puddletown Dorms - 3x4 - Dorm

Hello everyone, first of all I want to thank everyone who likes and reposts my posts. You guys are the reason I keep on sharing my builds! 

This is a build for Academie Le Tour which I always connect to Veronaville. I imagine this build to be a restored old building (common areas) and the added dorms around them with the same outside wallpapers. I wanted to give it a little futuristic twist with the glass walkways between the doors of the dorms. 

After I built this I realized how much I loved the style of the houses in Veronaville so I started to build a downtown area for it and named it Verona City. Creative I know. xD I’ll be sharing those lots as I find time and hopefully share a neighbourhood using those lots in the end. 

There are 2 versions of the lot residential and dorm. You can pick one and install that.
