Sims 3 IKEA Stuff Progress - LACK Side Table / Extra Decor / BILLY Bookcase

The entire LACK set of the pack is finally complete! And I made the frog and hippo toys as separate decor items which are fully CASTable together with their original texture from Sims 2. Also I converted the "FAMNIG HJARTA Cushion" which of course is also CASTable.

Now, about the bookcase. Oh dear, the bookcase... I managed to make it have all the states - empy / half / full. But and it's a big but, there's a slight seam problem on the sides because of the UV. Now, technically I can ignore it because it's barely visible, but this seam really annoys me so I'm going to redo the UV since I want it to be perfect (the struggles of CC creating).

Sims 3 IKEA Stuff Progress - LACK Shelves

I finally did the shelves, yay! As you can see, they're all shiftable and got the original Sims 2 swatches. I also made an empty shelf version if you don't want to be forced to use the items it came with.

I'm also planning a nice bonus, the toys are going to be a separate decor objects (they'll look adorable in a nursery!).

And in a more personal note, as someone that Sims 2 is her childhood I was obsessed with those shelves and the fact I can finally use them in my Sims 3 game just makes me so happy.

Sims 3 IKEA Stuff Progress - Small Decor

Progress update on my project to convert the IKEA Home Stuff from the sims 2 to the sims 3.

I didn't get to do too much today but I thought I'll update on the progress anyway. So today I continued with converting the decor items from the pack, and I made sure everything is CASTable just like in previous updates. The progress is slow but that's because I want to make sure everything works as intended in game.

In the picture we have (left to right): RAKET Table Easel, IKEA STOCKHOLM Vase & BLADET 3 Plant Pots with 1 Tray.

I gotta say that doing this project makes me learn a lot about CC making, I feel I learned so much since the first object I converted but of course I still have much more to learn.

There are a few decor items left and then I'll move on to the tables probably.

Place the baseboard first, the wainscot will snap to it. The chair rail will snap to the wainscot as well.
