Harribel: Starrk! I thought we agreed no guns.
Starrk: Oh, is that what we agreed to? I thought we said, "no gum."
Harribel: But you're also chewing gum!
Starrk: I'm a wild card.

Thorin (into mirror): You’ve got to get your shit together.
Thorin: So yesterday you let yourself fall in love a little bit and you got your heart broken. Serves you right for having feelings.

Meg: That's a terrible thing to say to a baby.

Griffin: Things are actually going really well with Billy. Our friendship is in a good place.
Griffin: Last week I said, “Did you know the weiner dog is neither a weiner nor a dog?” And instead of saying, “Shut up, Griffin” he said, “Okay.”

Jimmy: Come on, you love this show!
Pete: Yeah, but I always skip the Christmas episodes.
Jimmy: Because the themes of family and togetherness are a chilling reminder of your own isolation?
Pete: No, but thank you for that.

B: Fool me once and I'll be fooled for a day. Teach me how to fool people and I'll be fooled for the rest of my life.
C: Fool me once, fool me twice, fool me chicken soup with rice.

it's so hard having brain cells because you'll be watching a show and understand that all of characters are meant to be terrible or incredibly flawed, often for various reasons, and they aren't supposed to be competing for the Best Person Award because none of them qualify. and then you go online and the entire fandom is playing delusional campaign manager trying to prove that THEIR respective terrible person is actually morally and ethically perfect and deserving of complete sympathy and sooo much better than that OTHER terrible person who has more terrible person points if you calculate this action like that and you're like ohhhh. they need reading comprehension

//Nah, I mean it's like, almost every adult animated show these days does it to a point where it becomes tiresome, and more difficult to watch something new on TV without having to think about well... y'know, that; Simpsons, Family Guy, Bob's Burgers, Our Cartoon President, Fairview, Rick and Morty, South Park (though by this point SP was an immediate given, but four back-to-back?), King of the Hill technically, and probably more I'm unaware about...
I'm not mad about any of them doing it by any means, I'm just bored and disappointed by how overdone it's been, especially for most of these shows.

I get what ya mean, anon. However, I think it's unfair to put Futurama on the same level as these shows. It feels like a step above them, y'know? Not that I'm biased or anything, but Futurama never once got stale and when it was cancelled, the writers absolutely outdid themselves time and time again. the writing staff have three PHDs, seven masters degrees, and cumulatively had more than 50 years at Harvard and that SHOWS with how cleverly written it is. There's so many layers of science jokes you won't even notice. Stuff like Family Guy and most other adult animation is just low hanging fruit. I don't care for them personally. The Simpsons was fantastic in the 90s, but now it's a parody of itself, but I do like Bob's Burgers.
