tbh the frayed AU wasn’t one i thought many people might have liked since i write macaron being very bitchy and salty about a lot of things and i know he’s a beloved character in the lmk fandom. like, i’m not writing him that way bc i hate him (far from it). I write like that bc that’s what i imagine what his internal dialogue might be like.

not really, i just find one that fits the mood of the scene or my own mood

S.H.I.E.L.D. OUTPOSTS

Six outposts around the United States carried classified information relating to Project KOBRIK, including a code that could only be compiled from entering the system of each individual base. Within six days of the last week, four outposts were destroyed by the Winter Soldier and Black Widow. Surveillance shows the pairs also breaking into the last two on 30 May 2025 and 31 May 2025.

Footage on the sixth outpost - Helicarrier Thesus - showed footage of some kind of reality glitch that resulted in S.H.I.E.L.D. agents seemingly being erased from reality. Despite the red of the energy burst, Wanda Maximoff is not believed to be a suspect.

PROJECT KOBIK:

Using Infinity Stone based reality warping, S.H.I.E.L.D. has created the town of Pleasant Hill, CT, a highly sophisticated prison center for criminals that present the highest threats. They were either captured on the streets or transferred from other facilities and rehabilitated before completing a short stay at the Pleasant Hill Inn for monitoring. Afterwards, they are released to the town to acclimate into “normal” life.

Those entering Pleasant Hill with clearance are given reality blockers, chips made by Dr. Erik Selvig that affix to the back of the neck. It can be unhooked by applying pressure to the top left and bottom right corners. This opens neurological pathways and keeps the mind from succumbing to the reality warp.

The town database controls the town and is located in room 8-1 of the hospital. The database is <file not yet decoded> and can be powered down by <file not yet decoded> . A back-up system has not yet been solidified.

AUDIO: Kravinoff has undergone physiological changes that put him at the top of the food chain. He is better, stronger, faster and more cunning than any human, coupled with his skills, Kraven truly is a dangerous and deadly adversary. He’s caused thousands in damages and killed hundreds both purposefully or as accidental casualties. Currently, a power dampener field negates his powers, but we all know how that usually works out, right? Except this time, we’re going to try something different. Watch what happens when we take Kraven and turn him into...

VISUAL: The screen briefly becomes red. When it refocuses Kravinoff is gone and replaced with a mild mannered man in glasses and scrubs.

AUDIO: Alban Lewis! Alban’s just moved to Pleasant Hill to open up the very first pet grooming shop. I’ll have to take my little guy over soon.

VISUAL: Kravinoff/Lewis is clearly disoriented but not upset as he waves hello before being escorted out.

AUDIO: Now, as an Agent stationed in Pleasant Hill, you’ll be charged with a number of duties such as surveillance, ongoing treatment and yes, security. Thoughts on a DW Rewatch & Mass Effect replay.

So I’m in the Eleven / Clara half-season now.

Also I’m now replaying Andromeda. I have thoughts, about both. I’ll start with Doctor Who then label it when I get to Mass Effect stuff.

Oh my God this gets long and rambly. Apparently, I have a lot of thoughts.

So, season 702... I’m ready for it to be over. I miss the Ponds. I felt like most of the first half of this season was pretty great, honestly. I’d forgotten how fun some of those episodes were, I think at the time we were anticipating a new companion so heavily that it was harder to appreciate those episodes? I feel like there was a lot of criticism levied towards them that now I felt like was a bit too much. The western episode was kinda meh but still not bad.

I’m not sure what exactly it is about these Clara / Eleven episodes that I’m still not connecting with but I’m in the middle of the Crimson Horror episode (which is a Vastra/Jenny/Strax heavy episode and enjoying it more than anything else so far this half-season.

*edit later* NOPE NOPE NOPE I’D FORGOTTEN HOW THE DOCTOR FORCES A KISS ON JENNY. GROSS. SUPER GROSS. SHE’S A MARRIED WOMAN, A LESBIAN AND DID NOT CONSENT TO ANY OF THIS. BAD DOCTOR, BAD.

Honestly even with some excellent guest start acting, the Russian Submarine episode was STILL a slog and the ghosts in the 1950′s episode no better. Like they still weren’t ridiculous and unwatchable but... just didn’t feel fun or interesting at all? The Journey to the Center of the TARDIS episode was decent, and I felt like that wasn’t nearly as cool as it should have been..

I remember reading a criticism of these episodes early on where they said that the biggest fault is that they failed to give Clara any real characterization or solid personality other than “girl the Doctor is obsessed with”. She’s SUPER IMPORTANT but not only do we not know why at this point but it really doesn’t feel... earned? I don’t recall it ever feeling earned that Clara was supposedly always so important? “The most importantest companion EVAR!”

And as someone who stanned the hell out of a character who was hated in the fandom for “replacing” a previous companion I’m checking myself to make sure it’s still not because I Miss the Ponds. Like, I don’t HATE Clara, I just, at least at this point in the rewatch, can’t find any reason to really LOVE her? She’s there, she’s fine, Jenna-Louise Coleman is doing a great job with what they’re giving to her but... I don’t know. It all feels... off.

I had forgotten all about the “the Doctor rides a motorcycle up the side of a skyscraper” moment and something hit me in that moment that made me remember that wow people hated that moment. It felt really... shark-jumpy somehow.

I love Eleven, but this half-season isn’t connecting with me, AT ALL. It feels like the writers just went and dug through a bunch of rejected script ideas, polished them up and were likle “let’s just do this until Matt Smith is gone.” I’m anxious to get to Twelve.

Mass Effect Stuff

OK TECHNICALLY I haven’t finished ME3. I still need to do the party and the goodbye scene, (Citadel Epiloge Mod installed) but I’ve gotten all the Stuff and done all the missions in the arena. I just wasn’t quite ready to say goodbye yet, so I started Andromeda a bit early.

OK look I had a point I wanted to make and never quite got where I wanted to go with it right here. I’m too tired of trying to fix it, so this stands as written.

This playthrough had me ruminating a lot on Kaidan and Garrus. I really love both of those characters, though in my heart I’ll always primarily love Kaidan, I’ve done the Garrus romance and wouldn’t mind playing that character again to see the romance one more time. In ME1, I bring Kaidan everywhere all the time, and pick which other companion I bring to the story-based missions based on what I know is gonna happen like I’m sure most people do. Wrex for Therum, Tali for Feros (though I REALLY wish you could switch before going to see the Thorian), Liara for Noveria, Ashley on Virmire, Garrus for Ilos/Endgame. I rotate through all five for sidemissions.

In ME2, Garrus is my always-bring companion, with Garrus + Miranda being my favorite team. Except after the Omega relay, where characters with Throw really shine with all those husks running at us, Jack holds the bubble, and Miranda and Thane, who both have Warp to help take down the Reaper Baby, are the preferred team. Also so Miranda can tell TIM to fuck off.

Then in ME3, once the game opens up, Garrus is back on the perma-team, with a preference towards bringing Liara along... until we get Kaidan back. And then I realized I didn’t bring him to a single thing except a side mission or two until Earth. Mostly, this is because I’m following the Kaidan Banter guide and it turns out Garrus is a real banter hog for most of the missions. At leat he’s not James, who I literally never use unless I’m going on an N7 mission and feel bad that I haven’t taken him off the Normandy in awhile. I mean, even Javik gets more play. Also EDI doesnt leave the Normandy til near the end when all of a sudden she gets real important.

But Garrus is always on the team for Priority Earth. And that always felt like the way the main game should end, with your two favorites. (Also what kind of monster wouldn’t bring Wrex to the combat-centric areas of Citadel DLC? I keep thinking I should have runs where I bring other people but... Wrex is my other fave and we don’t get him with us AT ALL since ME1.)

I love Garrus, so much. And I was thinking with this whole parallel DW rewatch / Mass Effect replay think I’m doing right now how both Rose Tyler and Garrus Vakaraian are characters that were ruined for me for awhile due to their respective... overly enthusiastic fanbases who a small percentage of were dicks to people who loved other characters. The Kaidan tag (and from what I understand Thane got some of this too, but not nearly as bad) was a pretty hostile place for awhile (and yeah I used to check the Garrus tag too and there was a small amount of tag-invasion there but uh, like 5% of what the Kaidan tag got) which made loving the character of Garrus a lot harder for awhile. But when actually watching seasons 1 & 2 / the end of 4 of DW, or actually playing the games, those characters are awesome.

Fanbases can be amazing or terrible, and time and time again I think you start to realize that no matter how great a fandom is, there are going to be a few people who can only enjoy themselves by feeding on drama, or on lifting up what they love by stomping on other people/characters/plotlines. Going back through my blog reminded me that even the TAH fandom had some of this, with a small percentage of fans being real dicks to two prominent female characters in favor of their favorite ship, which soured even that just a tiny bit.

It’s not fair to characterize everyone who loves a popular thing as someone who does this. It’s also hard to avoid completely because there will always be jerks, or young/new people who don’t realize what bad form they’re showing. I did learn by trying to fight it for a year or two, that responding might help that one person not do it again, but it’s not going to stop overall. Maybe yelling a lot about Martha Jones did change some people’s minds. It still isn’t that good of a look now, even knowing that in general I was pretty polite and logical about it. I might respond to an odd comment now and again in some favorite character tags, but in general, turns out that kind of fight just isn’t worth it.

And those fights seem so stupid in the light of everything else happening in the world today.

Anyway, don’t be a dick about the things you don’t like.

I also wanted to say, and I know I said it in a few other posts about this ME3 playthrough, but seriously I cannot believe how much ME3 is a changed game because of the modders. I cannot imagine ever playing ME3 again without these mods. There were so many small things that I kept thinking I should take note of to talk about and I’m sure I forgot 90% of them, but there’s things like... adding in mentions of the Andromeda Initiative, closing a few plotholes, mentioning Emily Wong, adding in many more Spectre console options which end up having their own plotlines, adding in an entire plotline about the VI civilization that had previously only been talked about in like, social media or Cerberus News Network posts, having the Normandy be so much more populated, seeing so many more other species on the Citadel with more variety in clothing for those species that have clothing / could have more variety, way more female Turians.... every time I play ME3 the game is more and more like the game we wanted when it came out.

I am kind of itching to go back and replay it even now.

But hey, instead, its time to talk about Andromeda.

So first of all, yes, mods for Andromeda. A few appearance mods, a lot of convenience mods.

After having recently played DA:I and I think Andromeda and DA:I are a lot more similar than Andromeda and the previous trilogy, I had decided it was time to cut down on the stupid stuff Andromeda does, like “Oh, you want minerals? Spend 10 minutes in each mining zone finding the PERFECT place to gather materials or you’re fucked” No, thanks. I’ll mine but give me that “one probe placed anywhere and you’re done” mod.

Make the modifications and crafting materials I use actually matter. 2% damage increase is nothing. Make my squadmates not suck because I remember doing 90% of the work myself before and that got exhausting with the number of spawns.

I tried to not go overboard so things feel like cheating, but there’s enough out there to just get rid of the stupid stuff, and it’s nice. And works together a lot easier than the DA:I mods did.

One thing I did do was install the Multiple Romance Mod. I enjoyed it in DA:I, even though ultimately I only did 2 full romances. I am **NOT** romancing Gil or Cora with the mod, I just wanted to experience all the content available for female Ryders at once, since I’m not going to have the energy to replay this 100+ hour game enough times to see every romance on its own. So I am poly-romancing Liam, Jaal, Vetra, Suvi, Peebee, Keri, and if it lets me, Reyes when it’s time.

I’ve only gotten all the way through Andromeda once (where I romanced Liam) My second playthrough was right after my first and stalled out about halfway through (was romancing Jaal.) It was one of those “I’m totally gonna get back to this! (She didn’t.)” things. I’m gonna be honest, I enjoyed the Liam romance and was enjoying the Jaal romance, I’d done a fling with Reyes but not the full romance my first time through and the fling with PeeBee on my second. Reyes was probably my favorite out of all of them. So this time I decided.. let’s see which I love the most, all at once. I don’t know if I’ll do this in the future, but this game is too long to not see all the content I wanna see, TBH.

And you know, I still really do like Andromeda. It’s a GOOD game. And I’m forever going to be mad that we’re not going to see how this story ends. This story deserved to finish being told. Like, there are a lot of very legit criticisms about Andromeda, but it didn’t deserve the harshness it got. And the worst thing about it, and DA:I both is that... there’s just a little TOO MUCH of it. 100 hours is an amazing amount of game but... it’s also just too much. For now I’m not trying to 100% this playthrough. My plan is on each planet to get the planet to 100%, take out the Kett or whatever major base, the Remnant Architect, and yeah probably clear out the sidequests that show up on the map, but fuck quests that are like “visit random Kett camps until you find the right datapads that don’t show up on the map!” or “scan random blobs in the forest that don’t show up on the map!”

So like, do the content, not the filler.

I still hate the vaults. The first one is cool. The rest are tedious. But they’re mandatory.

I love everyone on this spaceship though. They did the Tempest stuff SO WELL. All the companions I think are... good? There’s no one I don’t like, even the non-squadmate shipmates ship have so much interaction and so much to do/say. It’s not like “a bunch of randos and Joker, with occasional appearances by Chakwas and the Engineers” There’s no randos, it’s just a few people you have real interactions with, and its great.

The lack of enough beds in the bedroom will never not annoy me. There’s 4 beds for... Lexi, Liam, Cora, Suvi, Kallo, Vetra and Gil? Even if Liam slept on his couch, and Vetra put a bed in her supply room... still doesn’t add up. What, do Salarains not sleep or something? Does Lexi sleep in a medical bed?!? Peebee sleeps in the escape pod, Jaal brings a bed with him, and Drack’s like “Eh I’ll just sleep in the kitchen”. WHAT? THE KITCHEN?

I mean sure there weren’t enough beds, even with the sleeper pods, on the Normandy either, but somehow that was less disturbing.

Also, I know you’re supposed to HATE Director Tann but I love Kumail Nanjiani so I find it hard to be a total dick to him, even if he usually deserves it. If he wasn’t an anti-Krogan racist I think it’d be easier to like him. He was thrown into a pretty shitty situation and... did actually hold things together for some time. He’s not doing anything out of malice. He’s a dick, but also doing what he needs to do to keep the Initiatiave going. Oh, except for being a anti-krogan racist. (Honestly, I also think “until he turned Cerberus Udina was just doing his job pretty well” too, so...)

Taking some screenshots as I go. I mostly just take screenshots for me now. I have a few thousands screenshots from a dozen or more games rotating through my desktop background, and I keep adding to it, and love it.

Anyway, I’ve gotten Eos, Voeld and Havral to 100%. Time to go save the Moeshe. I’m having fun.

*edit from later* I’d forgotten that... idk if the dialog they recorded for Jaal was the first thing they recorded for him or they used a different VA or what but on the Save the Moshe mission his voice is VERY DIFFERENT and oh man, that is still bad.

Might take a break for when Onslaught comes out for SWTOR, though. I haven’t really played SWTOR in months. Oops.

what inspired you to take on this muse : I came up with the idea for Cassie a little over four years ago. I always loved the idea of grim reapers ever since watching the show Dead Like Me. The idea for her started off very vague, and I honestly thought that the blog wouldn’t last long at all. But she’s become my “forever” muse.

what are your favorite aspects of your current muse : She’s such a series of contradictions, she’s had to adapt to survive. Cassie really has grown and developed so much over the years of me writing her. She’s become this fully developed character in my head that’s just stuck with me and grown as I have. It might sound silly, but she has become really important to me, and I feel like I’ve become a better writer and really developed by creative ability while writing her.

what’s your biggest inspiration when it comes to writing : Music, horror movies also give me a lot of inspo for Cas, and plotting, even just vague ideas, always get me pumped to write

favorite types of threads : plotted threads, but I also love really emotional angst filled ones

biggest struggle in regards to your current muse : Cassie can flip between emotions depending on the person she’s talking to or just the mood she’s in, and it sometimes makes me worry that I’m not writing her consistently. Even after writing her for so long I sometimes can’t help but wonder if she’s a good character or if I’m writing her well enough.

These quite frankly, are a jumble of messy planning and terrible first few chapters, so I don’t really know if this counts or not. . . but yeah.

Probably Victorian Era?? Two young women fall in love and hide their society defying relationship under the guise of gossiping best friends. But when one is being forced into an arranged marriage, and buried secrets are revealed - everything that they have come to care about is in jeopardy.

After a near death experience, a woman’s soul is split between her world and another that she had never heard of before. When the grim Reaper comes to collect her ‘passed soul’ but finds her alive, all hell breaks loose. They venture to new worlds, the threat of insanity looming in the back of head at all hours of the day if she doesn’t find it. But it is made nearly impossible by someone who has been stealing souls for his own wicked purposes.

Fandom/Interest:

I am a huge book nerd so I am in a few book fandom like ACoTaR ( A court of thorns and Roses- and ToG (Throne of GLass). I also am indulging my childhood by browsing through the Harry Potter fandom as well.

Also, I follow a couple artists and try to draw ( i fail basically every time) and also Jenna Moreci on Youtube (She is amazing!)

To sum it up i like reading, drawing, writing (obviously - no matter how bad my own is), and avoiding homework.

My writing life is a mess and I hope that I can eventually work on it some more and turn them into something but knowing me I will procrastinate so much that i just eventually. . . give up.

I honestly don’t know anyone that follows me and if they write so it’s a bit hard to tag people. But if you would want to do this then consider yourself tagged :)

Uberhood Story Episode 1 Summary

Figured it might be useful since it’s pretty long. Spoilers under the cut! Episode 2 summary coming soon, as will the Episode 3 summary when that is done of course.

Episode 1

On a normal Strangetown evening while it rains cats and dogs, Olive Specter calls General Buzz Grunt and asks him to come over. She shows him an ancient artifact, temporarily shaped into the form of a Freezer Bunny statue, and summons Lyla Grunt’s ghost.

Lyla explains that she was blackmailed by a group calling themselves the “World Organization Of Hostile Objectionable Obliterators”, led by Mystery Sim, that wanted her to take the artifact. As soon as she touched it, she was electrocuted and died. It is implied that only supernatural beings can touch the artifact without being harmed. As her ghost disappears, Buzz and Olive decide to move the artifact somewhere else where it can recieve military protection.

Back in Pleasantview, Woodland Park, Mortimer Goth and Dina Caliente are cuddling up on a bench. The former speaks vaguely about a change being on the way, then jumps into the pond to take a swim. Dina goes home and says they will see each other for dinner tonight.

Cassandra Goth recieves a phonecall from Officer Kauker that her father has been forcibly removed from Woodland Park by the police. She remarks that they should be more respectful since Mortimer saved SimNation many years ago, then hangs up. Concerned about her father’s recent impulsive behavior, she asks Don Lothario if he knows what’s happening, since he started acting odd after they got engaged. Don denies it, but flashbacks reveal that Don and Mortimer used to be romantically involved.

In Desiderata Valley, John Mole wakes up next to Sharon Wirth, and shows interest in committing more to their relationship, but she declines. The Grim Reaper, looking like his The Sims 4 self, looks at them through the window, then goes for a swim in John’s swimming pool. Natasha Una watches them through a telescope while wearing a suit of armor. John talks to his parrot, Peggy, and thinks about his time in Strangetown when he tried to solve Bella Goth’s disappearance.

In Strangetown, Erin Beaker finds her roommates Kristen Loste, Lola Curious and Chloe Curious passed out in her room, implied to have been drinking and watching sports games all night while Erin worked extra shifts at the pet shelter due to the cat and dog rain crisis. It is revealed that Erin has a pet wolf named Sansa. The wolf bites her.

In Pleasantview, Dina worries about her relationship with Mortimer, while her twin sister Nina Caliente suffers from flashbacks from when Gordon King broke into their house and got into a fight with her.

Olive magivestigiums into Mortimer’s home. It is said that she tried to kill him over a misunderstanding at some point. Olive tells him that they have to forget about the past and focus on gathering their own army to fight the one Mystery Sim has built, as rumours say that they have found their own artifact and is using it to power up their forces. Mortimer says that “she” (hinted to be Cassandra) said that a storm was coming which shows that her powers are getting stronger, but he doesn’t think they should involve her since she deserves to live a normal life. It is also revealed that Mortimer thinks Bella is dead, but Olive disagrees as she is unable to reach Bella through her artifact. Olive asks Mortimer to gather the people he chose before tonight. Alexander Goth eavesdrops on the conversation.

Alexander wonders what’s going on, and Mortimer declares that they are leaving Pleasantview immediately. Cassandra, home from a date with Don, disapproves and demands answers about Mortimer’s behavior. Mortimer pulls out a remote control-looking item and presses a button.

In Strangetown, Buzz Grunt recieves a call that soldiers assigned to protect the artifact were attacked this morning. One of them says that they saw a woman in a red dress. Buzz yells at them to call John Mole and offers to pay him twice the amount, personally, to open up the case again.

In Desiderata Valley, John gets a phonecall about the case and accepts the job. He calls Natasha to ask her to watch Peggy for him while he is gone. Natasha accepts, but we see that she is standing in the backyard of the house when answering the call, staring down at Marcel Jocque, who has seemingly drowned in the pond. The Grim Reaper, now in his The Sims 2 form, remarks how awful it is (not the death, the rain).

In Strangetown, The Singles household worries about Erin, who is still not home. Chloe angrily remarks that they have nothing to worry about since The Night Beast has been gone for years.

In Pleasantview, Mortimer carries a sleeping Cassandra and Alexander out to his car then drives away.

Dina wonders why Mortimer cancelled dinner at the last minute, and expresses concern to her sister, questioning herself and whether she has done something to upset him. Before Nina can answer, Olive magivestigiums in, furious that Mortimer has ran away from the mission. She explains to them about the World Organization Of Hostile Objectionable Obliterators and says that she has to track him down, and wants to bring one of the people he chose for his army. Dina offers to go, thinking he chose her, but it turns out that Mortimer chose Nina, making Dina feel even more rejected. Nina promises that she will find Mortimer and make him explain himself to her.

In Strangetown, Cassandra is angry with her father for kidnapping her and Alexander. A werewolf approaches their car, as does a vampire. The vampire, revealed to be Virginya Feng, talks to Mortimer, saying that she admires him for saving SimNation with his invention many years ago. Virginya expresses sympathy and bites him in the neck, but is surprised when his blood tastes weird. Mortimer then reveals that he is immune to vampire bites, and also that he is immortal.

Olive and Nina appear, with the former screaming at Mortimer for running away from the mission. Mortimer says that he can’t lose someone close to him again, and says that Dina is better off without him anyway, but Olive protests. She pulls out another artifact, one she found in Mortimer’s home, and approaches Cassandra with it, telling her that it can be used to awaken her powers so she can defend SimNation. Cassandra accepts. Nina punches Mortimer in the face for leaving Dina. After Cassandra goes through some sort of transformation with the artifact, Nina is up next.

Buzz goes to check on how the defense of the artifact is going, and is angered when he sees that all the soldiers are gone. While he is yelling to himself about their incompetence, he is electrocuted by Sara Starr, who is revealed to have left the Kine Society to join the World Organization Of Hostile Objectionable Obliterators. She looks away while Buzz dies, unlike her three helpers Luisa Libros, Optimum Alfred, and Cassandra Goth from an alternate universe (spelt “Kassandra”).

Nina, Cassandra and Virginya hide behind the group’s car. Cassandra’s skin has started glittering after exposure to the artifact for unknown reasons. Suddenly, the werewolf they saw earlier appears, despite the fact that Olive said she was going to look out for it. The trio attacks so the other group won’t kill the werewolf, and a huge fight breaks out.

Cassandra however, is not fighting physically, and instead starts screaming while seeing visions of people leaving her (Mortimer being abducted by aliens, Don being electrocuted while attempting to repair his stereo, Mary-Sue Pleasant being hit by a satellite, and Goopy GilsCarbo taking Alexander with him with the support of a Social Worker, Alexander happily hugging Goopy). It turns out that Kassandra is producing these visions. She mocks Cassandra’s fears and taunts her, saying that no one actually cares about her.

Luisa, who has managed to win her fight over Nina, makes fun of her, saying that it was easy and that it was no wonder that even the burglar could beat her. Nina gets up and yells at her, causing lightning to hit Luisa and instantly kill her, turning Nina’s skin dark green in the process. The survivors of the group run away, and the trio picks up the artifact.

Emily Emory is surprised when someone knocks on the door of Espiritu Estate, but it turns out that it is the Strangetown police (consisting of Jason Cleveland, Jenna Cameron and Chandler Couderc) coming in for questioning. It is implied that it has happened several times. They ask if Bella Goth has returned to the mansion, to which Emily replies that she has not. The ghost of Isaac Rossum plays with the stereo.

Mortimer, Cassandra, Alexander and Nina are allowed to stay at Olive’s mansion over the night. Olive is worried about where they will keep the artifact, since she can’t keep it in her house much longer, which was why she called Buzz to begin with. The werewolf from before detransforms, and is revealed to be Erin Beaker.

John arrives in Paradise Place, one of Strangetown’s villages, and knocks on Circe Salamis’ door. He asks to see Loki Beaker, but Circe declares that Loki has changed drastically since last time John saw him, and that they have gotten divorced. John asks if he can stay at her place, and she accepts, but points out that he has to sleep in the couch since someone else lives in the guestroom. They talk about how Circe used to own a lot of animals, that she claims to have gotten from Felicity Island and Wanmami Island, and it is revealed that it was Circe who gave John his pet parrot.

Cassandra and Mortimer talk about her right to decide things for herself, even if they could be dangerous, and Cassandra asks him not to keep any more secrets from her. Mortimer thinks about his romance with Don, but still lies to Cassandra and says that he is not keeping anything from her.

Circe and John share a kiss and start making out, when John suddenly pulls away from her and says that he can’t continue since he has a girlfriend. However, Circe doesn’t believe him, and thinks that Loki has hired John to try to manipulate her into handing over Nervous Subject, so she uses a spell to transform John into a cat, and declares that he will be Nervous’ pet now.
