With everything you’ve said about the cartoon I’m kinda curious about how the canon teaser fits into it. I know you’ve said before that it was part of some kind of Halloween special, but what exactly does that mean? And why is catnap so terrifying in it compared to the rest of the show?
short answer? A nightmare
Long answer: Remember the sandman? He appear in the halloween special. Catnap was having close to none sleep due the stress the sandman was causing him, when he was able to sleep, the teaser trailer begin, with the red smoke having a reason in the episode (sandman's cloud and sand is red), then Catnap wake up crying, waking up dogday and it begin the last part of the special.
Catnap had said dream 'cause he wanted to help his friends sleep well, but the idea of been as scary as the sandman was terrified for him.

Thinking about how the books introduce us to Narnia as this vibrant, beautiful land and then make us watch it die piece by piece. If you read in publication order you start with Narnia a place of wonder and magic even under the Witch's power and then the Pevensies save it and we get "the Golden Age" and Narnia is really something; if you read chronologically you start with Aslan making Narnia and everything so full of life and song that trees grow from everything that touches the earth and people laugh to be the butt of a joke because they (and everyone else) have never heard a joke before in the history of the world and jokes are fun! And then you read LWW and get to see what Narnia has grown into and get the Golden Age.
And then you read about a Narnia where people are in hiding and magic is a legend (even under Jadis, there was magic) and Cair Paravel is in ruins and lions and beavers are extinct. Cair Paravel can be rebuilt but lions and beavers can't be revived. The characters restore Narnia but it will never be quite what it was. It will never be another Golden Age.
We watch Caspian, boy hero of the last two books, die, grieving and broken and old before his time. Narnia is saved again and it's time for a coronation, just like in MN, LWW, and PC! Yay! Except this coronation will happen alongside a funeral. Underneath Narnia swims a dead kingdom and caves full of monsters waiting for the end of the world. Remember children, all things die.
The next time we open a book, we become the Pevensies, returning to Narnia to find centuries have passed and our magical home has become warlike and worn. Aslan has not been seen in ages; guard towers have been built around Narnia's borders for the many battles. Where are the clearings full of moonlight dances that Mr. Tumnus spoke about, back at the beginning? Tirian assures us Narnia is like that, in times of peace, only visitors from Earth tend to be brought over when Narnia is in trouble. We will not see it. Narnia was like that; good and beautiful and wonderful things did happen. Narnia is death. There will be no after the battle this time, no awakening land or Golden Age after cruelty is stopped. Cruelty and war have seeped into Narnia itself. Guard towers must be built: not a temporary war, but long term militarism. People turn on one another. Everyone dies. Narnia dies.
"I saw it begin," says Digory/the Professor. "I did not think I would live to see it die." Neither did we.
"I did hope that it might go on forever," says Jill. It could have. This is a story. Turns out it's a tragedy.

I think I've figured something out, about why the discussion over a possible Bionicle G3 is kinda split a few different ways the way it is. At its core, there are two main desires for it that everyone shares, but that are somewhat inherently conflicting with each other:
1: We all want more Bionicle, comfortably familiar, the way it was when we were kids; the nostalgic desire.
2: We also all want new Bionicle, fresh and surprising, like when a new wave and new story year would begin; the discovery desire.
Of course, there are some people who don't have as much the discovery desire, and just would want Bionicle to be re-released the exact same way it was before. And there are some people who either reject the discovery desire, or simply don't trust it, and don't want Bionicle to return at all because it would be too different, and in their eyes worse for it. I disagree with those stances, personally, but I can somewhat understand the latter at least.
But setting those aside, the two other main camps I've seen seem to arise from inverse interpretations of how to resolve the conflict between nostalgic desire and discovery desire.
In one, the nostalgic desire is for a return to the exact same story and characters (and often, style of building) we left off on, while the discovery desire exhibits in wanting that story to continue, both to tie up the loose ends still hanging despite Journey's End and to introduce new ideas, or ideas we know were planned but didn't get to properly appear. Basically, the completionist path.
In the other, the nostalgic desire is to wipe the slate clean and go back to basics, have more-or-less the same story told again from the beginning; while the discovery desire is in letting that same basic premise branch off in a different direction, unbound by the same established rules and world as G1. (And often, being a bit more open to a system-based approach to sets and stuff.) IE the transformative path.
(I do feel like the transformative approach is simply the most likely route for Lego to take were a G3 to happen, regardless of whether it's the best, (though I also do think that it is) but unfortunately G2 trying to do that and bungling it hard in a lot of ways, makes it look a lot less welcoming on paper.)
I don't know where I'm going with this, just thought it was an observation worth sharing. I guess, I simultaneously feel like this may offer a way to bridge the gap between those two approaches given the common underlying reasoning, but also like it just shows why it might not be able to be bridged, given how the two approaches are still running in opposite directions at the end of the day.

I think a lot about the fact that either Vidcund or Lazlo has a canonical daughter Nova Curious in TS4. So I named Lazlo and Erin's daughter Nova in my Strangetown and here she is as an adult. I recolored this hair for her too.
Damn I love when we get to learn about TS2 premades' kids and other relatives in later games <333
