rp experience / how long. I’ve been RPing since August of 2014! I’ve RPed across many sites since then. FFN forums, Warrior cats forums, chatzy, Discord, Thousandroads forums, and most recently, tumblr. I’ve only been RPing on tumblr for about two thirds of a year now, and only started doing RPC-style RPing about two weeks ago, but I look forward to doing more!

best experience. Best experience I have RPing is in my own server, though tumblr is great too! My top three formats for RPing are Discord, Thousandroads forums, and tumblr.

rp pet peeves / deal breakers. Godmoding and all that stuff, but I also rarely can deal with post-apocalypse or grimdark stuff. I also don’t really like it when people try to force headcanons on my worlds, such as my PMD world being post-apocalypse. I also don’t really like to do shipping. I’m good with most other stuff, though!

fluff, angst, or smut. I thrive on fluff, and can usually do angst just fine! Absolutely no smut, though.

long or short replies. Depends on the platform. On discord, I tend to do short replies, on Thousandroads and tumblr, I try to do longer. I’ll try my best to match reply length, but sometimes I can’t go all the way, or am feeling inspired and write way too much.

best time to write. Depends. Usually tends to be late morning to early afternoon for me, but sometimes I’m feeling inspired in the early morning, late afternoon, or evening.

are you like your muse(s). Honestly, there’s a little bit of me in most of my muses. Gen has my anxiety, Coleane has my hyperempathy, and so on.

ok ok ok so the refs from today. im just talking as perap does so feel free to ignore this

- it was kind of like a test to see how i could balance out quality with quantity. my canvas size has bumped up in resolution since the post from last year and im finally coloring line art, hallelujah. (i cant believe it took me so long to start doing that my old stuff was SO washed out with just black line art)

- tbh i did most of the extras (alt outfits etc) bc i thought it would be fun. and it was! well, the line art was. the coloring... oh god, what a drag. its so boring. so much procrastination... but im glad i finally got it out and just a little over a year after the first ones.

- so ya i said galar was like 90% done and NOW its like 200% done, and with that being said

- "yOu DiDnT dO tWiLiGhT wInGs ExClUsIvE oUtFiTs OR ThE cOrViKnIgHt TaXi DrIvEr" and my response is: when does it end, susan? MAYBE i will end up doing them. but it took me two months along with all that art i posted earlier this month and im tired. im not doing them today, not tomorrow, not for a while. galar is DONE i want to move on

- so the take away from the test is. i am not doing that again. JDGFG. the alt outfits and designs (basically the entirety of part 3)... i wont be including those in ref batch posts from now on. it was a lot. when i draw extras like that, ill just do it whenever. im not making them priority like i did with the posts from today.

- tbh i MIGHT aim to get gen 7 done this year. i can try it. i ACTUALLY have a few sketches done already so theres hope.

ok so now for comments on specific things

- firstly, tumblrs image limit forces me to put multiples on the same canvas, which i finally decided to take advantage of and have a few interactions that i wouldnt have done if i could just post them all individually so i think thats neat. adds some substance i think.

- again mustard isnt urshifu bc i couldnt choose which one he wouldve been. tho ngl hyde wouldve been cute as a kubfu

- ik honey has a team but i didnt like any of them for her so its free real estate

- yes klara and avery are the ONLY ones with gloves and dynamax bands. shhh i know. i know.

- nia was also kinda free real estate bc her only known pokemon is tyrantrum and. i didnt like that. i also didnt like galarian meowth for her either. so tbh i did it to match her earrings, but also i dont have ANY pikachu girls as of yet and i wanted to fix that (i say that as i already posted a pikagirl a few weeks ago HDHDGS)

- sighs. sordward and shielbert... i NEEDED a reason to justify their stupid hair ok i DONT care about anything else. i THINK it makes them better. maybe. probably not. and also i copy and pasted them despite trying to not be lazy with my art bc i just fucking hate them i dont care.

- the macro cosmos employees were actually inspired by this made by flare-gamer-64! its the reason i didnt go with aggron for peony. and at first i thought mawile for one of my designs would turn out weird but i actually think its fine now

- glorias mom is glaceon bc free real estate clause. and i just threw in hops and leons mom bc why not.

2020 Part 1

It’s time once again for my New Years retrospective. I’m kind of afraid to look back on 2020 tbh but I guess I’ve gotta. I mean, sure, some good things did happen this year...

New Years'

The scene: New Years Eve, 2019. I was ringing in the new year with my fellow Carowinds costume shop employees. We stood in a circle just inside one of the employee only areas, right behind the main stage in fact. The gigantic, electronically lighted Christmas tree stood tall behind us, various costumed actors dancing endlessly in front of it while festive music blared out of the speakers everywhere throughout the park. We had been informed by upper management that we were at maximum capacity -- as in, they were actively turning people away at the gates. Many families simply parked in the parking lot and sat on their car roofs in the cold December evening, waiting on the fireworks to start. Carowinds was packed to the gills, which was the reason we were in an employee only area. That and the champagne. Can’t let park guests see us drinking, and on the clock even. 

We all stood around in a circle and made toasts, reflecting on the year in general and on the event that we were wrapping up, Winterfest. It had been a pretty crazy year for some of us (me). We talked about new years’ resolutions, about where we thought we’d be this time next year, about everything. It was fun.

The countdown finally started, a distant echo of “20″ that we could hear from behind us, the performers on stage starting the countdown. By the time we got to zero, it seemed like everyone in the park had joined in the countdown. Thousands and thousands of voices all counting in unison was chilling and inspiring. 2020 was the start of a new decade, not just a new year. It was going to be our year. We could feel it. Good things were going to happen, we said! The fireworks started, and we watched them all to the very last while we finished off our champagne. Then we disbanded, gathering up the laundry as the performers hastily changed out of their costumes. We didn’t leave until around 2am, but none of us were tired. I chugged a coffee and an energy drink and drove 1.5 hours home, to where my cat was waiting for me. I’d have a whole week off before heading back to Carowinds to finish cleaning up from Winterfest.

It all went downhill from there.

January

The first major thing to happen in January, according to my Tumblr, was the Direct about the two Sword and Shield expansion passes. And Galarian Articuno, of course. 

Inspired by the news of the Expansions for SWSH, I guess, I did a shiny hunt and hatched a shiny Snom!

Byleth in Smash... boy was that a thing. (The memes were great)

I started preparing for Nashicon (remember when cons were a thing?)

I finished writing Yosuke and the Magic Lamp! Wow!

We got a US release date for Rune Factory 4 special, after 5000 years!

I watched The Good Place, and the ending d e s t r o y e d me

February

I got into Defunctland, I guess? (lots of posts about it)

In February, I got the news that I would have to leave my job for 13 weeks because of weird seasonal hours bullshit BUT at the end of the 13 weeks I would be promoted to Area Supervisor. I agreed, of course, because it was only going to be 13 weeks, right? right?

I literally packed up everything and moved back to Columbia the same day I picked up Lauren from the airport for Nashicon

Nashicon happened. That was probably the last normal thing to happen to me in 2020, to be honest (even then, it was very weird because we were in a hotel and not the convention center AND we were in February instead of March or April)

We managed to sneak away from the con and watch the Sonic movie in theatres, and boy howdy am I glad we did in retrospect

I hatched a shiny Ribombee!
