i can't find the post(s?) i made about it bc tumblr and google are both garbage at searching but. a few months back i was so Fucking Stressed Out worrying that hennessy pov was one of the three that stiefvater mentioned cutting. for pretty solid reasons (being with ronan rather than having an entire plotline to herself, having the fewest pov chapters in cdth, the general difficulty of giving a character a fresh arc after All Of That, etc)
oh sweet happy day of joy. oh glorious angel choir sunbeam. how i wish i could go back in time and gently take past kitkat's face in my hands and say "my radiant moonbeam who is me. she has so much pov. she has so so so much pov. oh honey darling i promise. u need not fret. she has so much pov and it's so good. we still don't know if adam has a pov and hennessy is in-depth internally narrating like seventeen pages in a row. it's definitely on purpose and it's unbelievably funny and we're thriving about it"
the idea of dunmer in morrowind choosing the imperial cult as their new religion post-oblivion crisis is especially hilarious. i feel like that’s the complete opposite of what happened. you’re telling me that after the empire abandoned morrowind and left it without a standing army to face dagon’s forces they heard about martin and decided they love akatosh now?
I crave interaction and I like conversation, so can someone explain the mahjong scene at the end of Crazy Rich Asians? I've never played and I don't know the rules/goals of the game and I desperately want to know what the implications of the scene are
I was so bitter, troubled and unhappy when I was Yuuei aged. I would have loved someone as sweet, sunshiney and noble as Deku for a friend, maybe even a highschool love. I'd tell him about my life and he'd definitely never let me be sad or lonely.
😩
Right? I get bantering friends, but also need emotional friends too!! We all need a friend like Izuku 💕
A character who can’t swim/can’t swim well throwing themselves into the water after a friend with 0 hesitation because damnit, they are going to try their hardest to save them no matter what
Nancy Pelosi on the Chauvin verdict: “Thank you George Floyd for sacrificing your life for justice.” Bloody hell. George Floyd didn’t volunteer. He wasn’t advancing the runner from 1st to 2nd. He was murdered.
Someone in the party has to drink the poison for them to proceed. They just have to. And while everyone goes back and forth on who it should be, A knows they're wasting precious time, so they grab the bottle and try to drink it as fast as possible so the decision is made.
What's worse? The poison is slow-acting, so they chug the lot before the team can stop them, swearing that they're fine, and they start feeling the effects of it later as they continue. Do they try to hide their whimpers or let the others know? Does someone offer to carry them as they continue on, or are they left to their own devices?
Or. The poison burns their throat and has them writhing almost immediately, and they struggle to finish it. Does their group stop them, offer to take a bit as well? Does someone hold them up and encourage them to keep going, soothing them as they do? Or does everyone just watch in horror as they cough and squirm as they try to finish it all so the others can go on.
What do you think?
I like it. Self sacrifice is my jam so that’s what I want to see :)
