one of my favorite tropes in media is two old men whose only friends are each other and one is mean and doesn’t acknowledge how important they are to the other until something big happens between them and the mean one finds out that the other really cares about them and appreciates how hard they work so the mean one is like “shit” and apologizes and also they’re heavily implied to be in love with each other

Partially did these sort of sad-ish images real quick to experiment with emotional range? Not sure how else to describe it, IDK. Also, kind of wanted to experiment with wet fur too.

These are sort of the result of me seeing the cartoon TF (transformation) trope and my brain saying 'I kind of want to write a Warners-started-as-humans AU now, so I can utilize the trope without all the things I don't like about it.

The mouse sad tale

It seems like every cartoon I get into has an Alice in Wonderland reference, but I could not think of one for Pinky and the Brain. Until I found this!

Alice thought the mouse said "sad tail" instead of "sad tale". That's the pun.

And it looks so much like Brain's tail.

Here's a different version from the original manuscript! It looks more like Pinky's tail, or am I going too far? Maybe not far enough?
