Character designs from 2018's Saga Prefecture x Gintama collaboration "Sagaharu Project" for Saga's Sagaprise campaign.

Sleazy producer Sakata-P promotes his dog as Saga's newest mascot. Sadaharu is wearing a mudskipper hat and a strawberry collar, sits in an Akita ware bowl, and is eating a riceball made with rice and seaweed produced in Saga. The name tag reads "Sagaharu".

There were Gintama-themed food, hot spring promos, a recording featuring Gintoki, another of Hijikata and Okita (promoting local mayonnaise and seaweed), and special regional goods. There was even a statue in front of Saga Station.

Katsura, in Yayoi period dress, was of course on standby at Yoshinogari Historical Park, ready to help with the PR campaign. Will Elizabeth get a statue, too?

This beautiful flag received a lot of support from my followers, and for good reason. We will eventually see it again, alongside the flags of many other subdivisions, in the Regional Flag Wars. However, the next tournament will be the 2023 New Czech Flag Wars, which will start later this week.

Terraced Fields In Saga Prefecture. Saga Prefecture is located on the north-west of Kyushu Island. It's a long way from both Tokyo and Osaka and it certainly isn't a popular stop on the typical tourist trail, but those who venture this far out will be glad that they did so. The prefecture is famed for its beautiful rice terraces that cascade down the mountains towards the ocean, and when the sun sets they shine in the moon like broken mirrors of shards of glass.
