A special DOUBLE Crystal Tokyo Radio announcement!

First off, everyone's favourite miniature nuclear bomb, Sailor Saturn, is celebrating her birthday! There will be a special 2-hour show devoted entirely to Hotaru playing at various times during January 5th and 6th!

Second, the Original Soundtrack of Sailor Moon Cosmos: The Movie has been added to the rotation, and we're celebrating with a week-long premiere of the full soundtrack, played in order! You can hear it from 6 PM - 8 PM EST every day this week (or 4 AM - 6 AM EST for people on the Eastern Hemisphere) until Thursday January 11th. Songs from it will randomly play during other scheduled shows as well!

There's likely other I hadn't found but it's fascinating that they went with these tracks rather than utilize a piece as composed by Takanori Arisawa that would've gotta the job done just as well. I ponder why and if anybody here has any idea. Was this done for any other Anime at the time or now?

It is cool though. That while Anime is seen as this foreign thing, alien to us in the west, a lot of titles took inspiration from other countries and even shared in our music. Cross-cultural moments are nice to hear about.

How did I only just recognize that every sailor senshi’s seiyu Is singing in Moon Effect?? The song that plays in Usagi’s Eternal Transformation scene. THE SCENE IVE WATCHED THE SHIT OUT OF CUZ IM OBSESSED

Like I instantly recognized Haruka and Michiru’s seiyu singing Eternal Eternity

And I also recognized the Amazoness quartet’s seiyu were singing Welcome to the Circus (an absolute banger btw)

Okay they don’t it’s Momoiro Clover Z like I thought lol. They also sing more SM songs which I like a lot.

Sorry I just find voice actors singing opening themes or songs not directly sang by the characters for anime really fricken cool.

Sailor Moon Cosmos Theme Collection

This year I joined the Sailor Moon Fan club overseas. I had no idea how long it will take to receive the welcome items. I did go ahead and pre-order the CD for the movie and received it last week.

Along with the CD there was another clear file. Its is a wrap around of the CD cover that I'm leaving sealed at this time.

Blu-ray disc with bonus features. The official music video for Tsuki no Hana and two trailers for the movie that were previously released. The first one ends with Seiya singing a few lines from Nagareboshi He and the second was the recent one featuring the Three Lights. Let me say it looked really pretty on the TV.

A trailer was released previewing the first disc of a 2-record LP set coming out for Sailor Moon's 30th anniversary! This one has the opening and ending songs from the 90s anime, as well as the theme songs for all three movies (Moon Revenge, Moonlight Destiny, and Morning Moon de Aimashou). The second disc will feature songs from Sailor Moon Crystal (presumably the openings and endings as well).

Sorry I haven't posted here in a while...been busy with work and stuff.

So I'm trying to catch up with my song covers channel, and realized, when running through "Onna no Ronsou" (which I had planned to do for Pluto's birthday last year), that my voices for Beryl and Pluto sound too similar. And I can't think of a way to make them distinct on my own.

So...does anybody in the SeraMyu cover community (or out of it...I don't care) want to duet with me? Message me if you are. I would like to have the cover up before June 30th if possible, so I can be caught up before Usagi/Chibiusa's birthday. Let me know!

I need to know how many people miss the 2000s and early 2010s amv culture. Remember how much content there was and how passionate everyone was about their favorite character or ship. They'd be making full length amvs every week I swear. Now I struggle to find new and active creators who make amvs longer than 30 seconds. I blame Instagram.
