anyway, I have a real soft spot for characters who live their lives in regimented ways, by formulas and patterens because there's this idea that if you do something right enough can get results

I never really thought about that for Adora, but then again I haven't given it that much thought, and I think it fits really nicely and well. I think you do a great job of firmly putting that into place, of giving us that feeling of structure as a trellis but also as a gate

Yeah you and Ren both commented on that tick I gave her, and I’m glad it came through well! It’s always interesting to me what folks see and headcanon individually for a character and sharing it with the group how that shakes out in various versions. 

Also “feeling of structure as a trellis but also as a gate” is so much better a way to put it than I ever could :D

Oh yeah definitely. I really want to take another crack at it some other time at looking more at Glimmer and Adora in S4. I feel like through season 4 Adora recognizes the parallels in what is happening with Glimmer to Catra, both her relationship to her and Glimmer’s behaviors, but fixates on THE WRONG parts and ways to try and fix the situation. She sees the similarities with Catra but extrapolates all the wrong conclusions.

Doc if you wanted to impress someone with a gourmet chocolate box, what would you get?

Mostly, I think you impress people by thinking of them, all other things aside. I am impressed when I get good chocolates, period. I am doubly impressed when there are things in the box like whiskey chocolates, or coconut chocolates, or literally anything where I'm like, "Oh, I know why they thought of me!"

So, if I wanted to impress someone, I would go down to my little local, which has, not even me being Montana Proud or whatever, some of the best chocolates I've ever had. The only equals I've found are twice the cost. (Brockel's also could charge more than they do.) And I would pick out an assortment for them based on things I think they would like. I normally get huckleberry chocolates for someone not local, because that's the local 'thing' but also brockel's is known for its mint pattie, so I like to get that unless I know someone hates mint. Then I like to think, do they like nuts? There are some really lovely caramels they make. I once got a wine and a sea salt truffle because a Jewish couple I know got a new house and wine and salt are traditional gifts. I pick them myself and hope they will feel thought of even if everything is not a winner.

Now, if the question is: Doc, what are the most impressive chocolates I can buy online for delivery? LA Burdick. Hands down. No question. @sailorsunspot and @moonlight-frittata got me some like...what, four or five YEARS ago?? And I still think about them. They are the high quality of brockel's but much much prettier and the assortment includes the cutest fucking chocolate mice. They have some wildly good flavors that are so creative and unique, another regrettable dunk on my guys.

These are all great chocolate houses: Richart, Dandelion, Maison du Chocolat, depending on what your recipient values. For some applications I'll also recommend Jaques Torres or Vosges.

If the question is: Doc, what is the impressive chocolates you would like to be sent? Literally anything above, but I've always wanted to try Zotter chocolate bars. They have such interesting looking fillings, and I've heard such great things about them!

My new myu reinako physical contact count actually hit 100 and my harumichi count is also getting really high up! Given the occasion, I thought I’d do a thank you post to celebrate! 

Of course, first and foremost thank you everyone who actually followed me and/or liked/reblogged my stuff, no matter in this new sideblog or back when everything was in my main blog.  But there are some other specific bloggers that I need to credit, these are the people who has helped me make this happen!  

@keyofjetwolf was actually the one who coined the term Unecessary Physical Contact, and I just flew with the idea after seeing her response to Kanon and Shiori in La Reconquista. So the project title credit goes to her! 

It’s been at least 3 years(?) now since I first started with this little project that makes me feel like I’m a bit stalker-ish at times (lol), and where I am blurring the line of shipping characters versus shipping real people (I personally strictly stand on the only shipping characters side of the line, but I don’t mind overprojecting real life stuff into characters haha). Despite that I’ve had loads of fun and met awesome people along the way, and with them I got to talk reinako, harumichi and sera myu with. Some specific names that stuck out are:
