Rhona MLP OC (REDESIGN)

Here is the redesign of my MLP, renamed Rhona instead of ShadowSilver, and couldn't name her Rose LaBelle, because there is another MLP canon character Rose as well, and I really don't want to have my OC having the same name as the canon has. It was difficult finding good names, so Rhona is the best choice right now ^^;

But here is her new (possibly changing it later in a new redraw ^^;) description!:

Weakness: dark power from Saiya is her only weakness, and basically other dark magic from the kingdom of Antropas. Couldn't resist the smell of coffee, chicken tenders, and couldn't resist seeing sweets she loves.

Rhona is an OC character from My Little Pony and MLP: Next Gen I have created before changing the name to make it more fitting, and in a new design as an Alicorn like her two sisters.

Rhona is born in Equestria, after Celestia and Luna, and was to be the last sister to be taught royalty, magic and responsibilities before becoming the next Queen of Equestria. Since Celestia can bring sunshine to create day, and Luna bringing the moon to create night, Rhona has the magic to release beauty to all the land, bringing balance as well. Until one day, years before Luna’s outrage and before becoming Nightmare Moon, the Dark Soldiers invaded the castle. The Dark King (who is unnamed at this time) of the dark kingdom Antropas, which the kingdom was full of dark magic and thunder, who wanted to take the sister's magic to use it for himself and his daughter Saiya to recreate Antropas into a divine kingdom, as if it would destroy Equestria, although he may not know the power of friendship and balance of nature. Celestia, Luna, and Rhona refused to give their magic to him. The Dark King, in his anger, made a decision to kidnap Rhona and made haste to Antropas to force her to give her magic to him as he ordered his soldiers to execute Celestia and Luna. The sisters sended the royal guards to defeat the Dark Soldiers as they chased the king, who was holding Rhona hostage. Many brave guards had enough strengths to fight him in order to save the princess. To their success, the king fell out of failure and losses to fight, but took it at a fatal turn for him. After the Dark King’s death, the royal guards soon learn that Rhona was missing. At what they thought, they had feared and believed that she died as well after the fight, and failed to rescue her, although they didn't know that Rhona was still alive. Celestia and Luna were both overcome by grief and sadness over their sister's disappearance after they were told she was dead. But Rhona was still alive as she was lost in the fields, until one unusual guard of a different kingdom finds her. Rhona was brought home into the kingdom of Starlunaria, a peaceful land in the sky Brunarr, the king had decided to take Rhona as his daughter, as she became the princess of the kingdom she had starting to love. But as time went by, Rhona begins her journey to Equestria to find answers who she really is, although doesn't know that Saiya had plotted to take Rhona's magic, promising her vengeance after her father's death and promising him to make Antropas greater and destroy Equestria.

I know the background story isn't as easy to manage, but I think it's okay. ^^;

Starlunaria, Antropas, Brunarr and Saiya are my fanbase characters and locations, which I couldn't draw soon (especially redrawing Saiya since I didn't like how she looked and how her description is to begin with first lol). I was thinking either a MLP fanfic or a comic ^^;. I am still planning on a Final Fantasy VII fanfic, which I really need to be getting into soon unless other stuff happens, so a MLP comic could be sided to make ^^

Planet Vegeta (Sadala) timeline headcanons.

Because I'm salty canon slapped together a garbage continuity (*cringes @ the various retcons, inconsistencies, and Episode of Bardock*), but did nothing with it at the same time. CW for death and war and geno/cide and all that; the Saiyans are indeed the Saiyans.

— The Tuffles and Saiyans were native to Sadala & lived on it for hundreds of thousands of years. One can assume they originally belonged to the same "species class" before evolution caused the two groups to split and deviate from one another.

— The Tuffles became more intellectually & technology advanced far quicker than the Saiyans. While the Tuffles eventually built towns & cities, the Saiyans still maintained a fairly primitive hunter-gatherer lifestyle - only difference being that Saiyans typically lived in solitude or in very small groups (typically a mother with her children). There was little sense of community among the Saiyans.

— At some point, a few Saiyans among their kind transformed into their Oozaru forms for the first time upon the night of a full moon. They rampaged worldwide, but the Tuffles managed to protect their civilizations. They had no idea just what those beasts were, but never fully pieced it together that those were Saiyans. For every subsequent full moon, that occurred on the planet every 100 years, the Tuffles devised elaborate protection plans.

— At some point, some Tuffles actually welcomed Saiyans into their territories. However, some Saiyans thought it best to try and steal food or resources from them. They were usually repelled, and the Tuffles collectively lost their sense of hospitality. Tensions steadily built up between the two races.

— Over time, Saiyans grew physically stronger - likely because they had to rely on their own natural skills for survival due to their lack of technology - than the Tuffles with every passing generation. Trespassing worsened to literal invasion attempts, and the deaths of multiple Tuffles with every one. It became a widely accepted belief that Tuffles and Saiyans could and would never get along.

— The conflict peaked when one Saiyan, a female adult named Vegeta, managed to rally dozens of Saiyans together to try and take over the planet. To do so, she and her allies sought to wipe out the Tuffles. The Saiyans launched a coordinated attack, and because each individual's might was greater, the Tuffles struggled to fight back with their weaponry. The battle waged for days.

— Everything was decided when a full moon once again shined down. All of the Saiyans transformed, and the Tuffles had no hope of victory. By sunrise of the next day, the majority of the Tuffle population was decimated. Whoever was left, and discovered, was picked off.

— After this event, Vegeta fought for her right to rule over her kin, meeting challengers head on. As she was the only one left standing in the end of those bouts, it was accepted that she was the strongest Saiyan. She would hold absolute leadership over them and complete control of the world. She renamed it "Planet Vegeta".

— This is where the Saiyans started to become more involved with technology themselves, as they learned from what survived of the Tuffles' culture, and gradually built an advanced society. Vegeta became the first queen. However, the Saiyan's class system didn't come into effect until Vegeta had her first children as ruler sometime later.

— Her eldest child & son, Vegeta II, thought of himself and those of similar power levels so highly that he believed they deserved to be held in a more important regard than those weaker. When Vegeta I grew too old to hold her position as monarch, he followed a ritual of combating other Saiyans who also sought the throne. He was the sole survivor when it finished. The final step was to battle and kill his mother, giving her an honorable death while simultaneously proving his worth. He succeeded.

— King Vegeta II implemented new social divisions based on power. If a Saiyan was pitifully weak, they were now considered low class. If they were "average", they were middle class. Saiyans with excellent strength, he included, were first class or "elite". Treatment based on these guidelines resulted in the elites having first dibs on the best food and resources, while low class Saiyans were given scraps.

— During his reign, King Vegeta II oversaw the development of what became recognized as the Saiyan's scouters and attack pods. Scouters were merely updated from leftover schematics of the Tuffle's communicators, but attack pods were made with the purpose of being able to travel through space. The king saw a future of his kin sinking their fangs into other worlds, to conquer them and take what they deserved as the universe's mightiest race. He formed the first incarnation of the Saiyan Army, having soldiers be equipped with newly developed armor and tools they would need while out on the field.

Nursing capsules weren't invented until much later, when medical care overall evolved further. Saiyan children needed to be born to keep the race alive of course, but it was inconvenient for female Saiyans to stay on planet rearing their children instead of being active in the army. So, technology that would effectively keep a newborn alive independently of their mother was created. It soon turned to literal zygotes or fetuses being removed from the mother to grow in capsules.

A brilliant scientist invented the Power Ball technique, allowing Saiyans to transform without needing to rely on full moons. This in turn established a training regimen that would teach a Saiyan how to control their Oozaru state.

— King Vegeta II did away with the dominion ritual, and designated his first son - Vegeta III - as being his heir & next in line for the throne automatically. This solidified the naming tradition and its association with the royal family.

— Towards the end of Vegeta II's reign / In the beginning of Vegeta III's reign, the Cold family set their sights on their planet, thanks to the Saiyan's rising infamy through the cosmos. The Saiyan Army was forcibly integrated into the Cold Force / Planet Trade Organization (PTO).

Tuffle Lore: DBZ #20

I’ve been meaning to revisit the topic of Tuffle lore, and so I decided I should re-watch the episode where they were first introduced.  And I’ve got nothing going on at the moment, so let’s do it now.

So this is Episode 20 of Dragon Ball Z.  It’s a filler episode, so I don’t know if any of this footage made it into Kai, but if you’re not familiar with this one, I’ll give you a quick recap.  Goku is training in the afterlife to prepare for the Saiyan invasion.  He’s just passed King Kai’s challenge to catch Bubbles, so now King Kai gives him a harder test, which is to hit Gregory on the head with a mallet. Meanwhile, Piccolo trains Gohan, whose right eye is swollen shut for the whole episode.  Also, Master Roshi asks Baba to predict the outcome of the coming battle, and Baba can’t see anything in her crystal ball.  The fate of the Earth is too uncertain to predict.  Also, the rest of the Z-Fighters complete their training on Kami’s Lookout, and Yajirobe bites Krillin on the ass. 

However, the real meat-and-potatoes of this episode is when Goku takes a break for dinner, and King Kai offers to tell him more about the Saiyans.  At this point in the story, Goku only recently learned that he was a Saiyan sent to Earth as a baby, and all he knows about his people is what little he heard from his evil brother, Raditz.  Much of King Kai’s tale would be contradicted over time, but this episode still stands out as a tantalizing peek into the history of the Saiyans before they were under Frieza’s rule.  And this is one of the few sources for information on the Tuffles, the Saiyans’ mysterious enemies. 

What I decided to do here was to just screenshot this part of the episode and transcribe all the subtitles.  The dub version of King Kai’s story is pretty good too, but some of the details are changed, and since this is a filler episode, the Japanese script is about as close to a primary source as possible. 

Incidentally, “Tuffle” is a localized name for the “Tsufuru-jin”, just as “Saiyan” is a localization of “Saiya-jin”.  The Funimation subtitles refers to the Tuffles as “Tsufruians.”

“Once upon a time... There were two races of people who lived on a world named Planet Vegeta.  The Saiyans, who are your forebears, and the Tsufruians.”

“Planet Vegeta, like my own planet here, had an extremely strong gravity.   As a result, the Tsufruians, who controlled the larger half of Planet Vegeta, were a race whose bodies were only about half the size of the Saiyans.  However, they had a remarkable, comparatively advanced level of civilization.” 

“On the other hand, the Saiyans were a race that was very few in numbers, but their bodies were bigger, not to mention stronger, and they were an aggressive, primitive race.  The tails the Saiyans had were their greatest distinguishing characteristic.  They were all warrior-like people, as it were.”

“At one point, these warriors bared their fangs, and started to overrun the Tsufruians.  The Tsufruians greeted them with advanced weaponry of their own making.  The Saiyans, who should have been utterly outnumbered, were incredibly strong, and gradually, they brought the Tsufruians under their control.”

“The decisive factor was the full moon, which appeared on Planet Vegeta once every eight years.  That's because when Saiyans see the full moon, they transform into monsters.  For the Tsufruians, this was their greatest threat, and they suffered the most damage this way.   And so, little by little, as the Tsufruians civilization pulled back, the Saiyans quickly increased their numbers.  In time, they completely took over Planet Vegeta.”

“Then the Saiyans took off into space, seeking to fight even more.   However, since the Tsufruians had been exterminated, further development of their civilization was slow to occur.  They realized that even though they wanted to fight, they could not go out any farther into space.  So the Saiyans joined forces with rich, advanced alien civilizations, and in exchange for furnishing planets to these aliens for use in developing vacation estates, they were able to obtain technology and money.  For the battle-hungry Saiyans, this was killing two birds with one stone.”

“The Saiyans' activities escalated swiftly, and they even started sending babies to many other worlds, as was your case.  They had come up with long-term plans, whereby once the baby grew up, it would exterminate the planet's population.”

“But Planet Vegeta had its own Kami.  He could not bear the Saiyans' evil deeds, and using his own powers, he pulled close some giant meteors, which then collided with Planet Vegeta, causing it to explode.” 

“Including yourself, there were only four Saiyans that survived.”

And, there we have it. Tell you what, I’ll just make a list of the details that later turned out to be continuity gaffes.

1) It would later be established that the planet was named “Plant” before the Saiyans conquered it and renamed it “Vegeta”.

2) This episode seems to be the only instance of the Tuffles being half the size of the Saiyans.  In other appearances, the Tuffles are shown to be normal-sized humanoids.

3) 1993′s Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans introduced the idea of the Saiyans arriving on the Tuffles’ planet and being accepted as refugees.  However, a flashback in Dragon Ball GT suggests that the Saiyans invaded the planet from the start. In Dragon Ball Super, Vegeta states that the Saiyans had lived on another planet called Sadala before emigrating to Planet Vegeta.  Any way you slice it, it looks like the Saiyans were not native to Planet Vegeta, as DBZ #20 suggests.

4) Furthermore, 2011′s Episode of Bardock introduces the Plantians, who inhabited Planet Plant/Vegeta in the distant past.  No Tuffles are seen in that special, suggesting that the Tuffles were not native to the planet either.

5) DBZ #20 shows Tuffle soldiers using scouters, the implication being that they were a Tuffle invention that the Saiyans later adopted for their own use.  In 2018′s Dragon Ball Super: Broly, it’s Frieza who issues the scouters to the Saiyans for the first time, well after the Tuffles have already been wiped out.

6) King Kai probably shouldn’t have told Goku about the Saiyans transforming during a full moon, since that sort of borks up the big reveal in Episode 31 and 32, when Vegeta transforms and Goku realizes that he must have been the one who killed Grandpa Gohan.  Then again, it took Goku a while to figure it out, even when Vegeta was transforming right in front of him, so maybe he wasn’t paying attention to this part of King Kai’s story.  Let’s face it, Goku isn’t the sharpest knife in the crayon box.

7) The biggest plot hole is the part where King Kai authoritatively states that it was the Kami of Planet Vegeta who summoned the world-ending meteor shower that Raditz spoke of.  In truth, it was Frieza who destroyed Planet Vegeta and spread the meteor shower story to cover up the truth.  While we can forgive King Kai for not being aware of what really happened, it’s weird how he offers context to a version of events that never took place.  Then again, Planet Vegeta would have had its own Kami, who must have been displeased with the Saiyans, so maybe that Kami planned to destroy the planet, and King Kai was aware of these plans, but he never knew that Frieza beat the Kami to the punch.   For that matter, maybe Frieza stopped Vegeta’s Kami from summoning the meteor shower, because he wanted to wait until the whole population was on the planet before pulling the trigger.

8) Uh sure, King Kai, only four surviving Saiyans.

All that being said, a lot of elements in this story still hold up today, probably  because of Toriyama’s input on this episode, including the Tuffle concept.  For example:

1) The Saiyan population is quite low in King Kai’s story, which would be echoed in Dragon Ball Minus, which states that there are roughly 10,000 Saiyans around the time Planet Vegeta was destroyed.

2) While the Kami of Planet Vegeta has been retconned to hell, the basic concept of a god condemning the Saiyans to extinction resembles the way Beerus authorized Planet Vegeta’s destruction, as revealed in Battle of Gods.

3) The Saiyans’ primitive buildings in this episode look a lot like the lumpy, misshapen houses seen in Dragon Ball Minus and DBS: Broly.  And yet the larger, more advanced buildings, like King Vegeta’s palace and the elite nursery, are comparable to the Tuffle cities. So the idea of Planet Vegeta being this world of contrasts has carried on across 30+ years.

Anyway, that’s all I have.......... for now.

Headcanon Sheet for my Saiyan form: Saiyä-Zarou

SAIYA-ZAROU - S.S.0.0

The form between Oozaru & Super Saiyan.

-20× The Strength of Oozaru. User must be able to control/master Oozaru first.

Ears are enlarged + pointed to amplify sound.

1. achieved saiya-zarou & stable.

2. (Night) initial reaction to moonlight (black eyes gain a silver/metallic cast)

3. (Day) a. Eyes flash red.

b. white/ no iris + hair growth

c. stable = crimson irises + black outlines

Result of hidden moon - Triton revealed after Neptune's destruction

Exponential growth of canines + fangs. Blunt but bite force is great.

Flame retardant fur protects from cuts, scrapes and blows like light armor.

Tail should be present for transformation. if not, a new one may grow (?)

Claws are hard to break off, very sharp.

Muscles enlarged significantly.

Love how that coat is pointing back at him. Nightow also doesn't give a shit at how long it is in places. Looks cool and that's enough.

Battle glasses!! This shows he means business. Also makes his emotions harder to read and it feels a bit like him closing off again...

Followed by these pages...Vash almost looks strange. A bit creepy, even. Knives, if you tried to understand your brother for once, you'd see he's not actually that hard to read. Marlon gets it, too. You didn't even try.

I love Nightow's whole approach to this epic showdown between Vash and Knives. It takes its time, now even with the quietness before the storm...the atmosphere that's being created is just so tangible. Also, how cool that now it is Knives looking down at Vash, and not the other way around! Like it was most of the other time.

Oh nooo Vash felt that through their shared plant power, didn't he. Despite all that's been, that must've been an extra gut punch to Vash.

Beneath his coat, our man is made of legs, leather, and boot straps, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I think I read a post of someone saying some wise and intersting stuff about this page but I can't recall what it was about anymore...but I just want to say I love how Vash doesn't change what he is, for this final battle. He's always been a gunsman and damn pretty good at it. He's not going to transfor super-saiya-plant now, but stick to what he knows!

And their expressiooons...man this manga has so many great and varying expressions.

Chapter 5:

There's wisdom stored in the pages of Trigun that I probably cannot fully grasp with my sparse knowledge of life experience. We get so rarely any insight into Vash's thoughts, it's always something precious for me as a reader.

Oh, he looks so incredibly tired. The fandom has been using the term 'Widower Era' for this flavour of Vash and it is so fitting.

It's really crazy how far gone Knives must have been at this point that even children don't mean anything to him...they are all part of this big threat called "humanity".

They are so young! And Vash looks so terrified..it's making me realize once more that this cool and powerful gunslinger started out as a "normal" boy, who had to become so powerful as a consequence of all that fucked up shit he went through...

asaasffsd yeah, he's not just prepared to die here, he's planning for it.

The widower era is a look that suits him but why is it so grimdark aah. Is that the solution you've come to, Vash? Is that really the only reasonable and possible outcome, and are you sure your concllusion has not been clouded by recent traumatic events?

Chapter 6:

This chapter is really where you get what Vash's power really is, isn't it? It's been shown that he can create these holes, but in July it was more an explosion, with the fifth moon as well, so this time feels like the first real mention of that black hole power!

Yes! Who is there to decide if humanity is good or evil, if it deserves to live on? If you must find a decision, at least hear the voices of those who had to suffer! And Knives never really tried listening to the other Plants..

Knives would have a blast with twitter and the youtube commentary section.

That story of that village is so sad, and just a great example of...accidents that just happen. Misfortune that causes people to be cruel to each other, without wanting to. This showdown between Vash and Knives, I love how it's not just them throwing cool catch up phrases at each others' head, but...it comes down to their core conflicts, and it touches topics that are so very applicable to real world conflicts, too.

Stupid stupid military shooting >:( The plants look in pain now, too!

And then...and then he's not fighting along!! <:') The friend squad is here for the rescue!! Finally, finally Vash is getting some help in his fight. He could and should have asked for it, but it's great they still came without him needing to.

Oh I was just wondering if this is the commander feeling Chronica's aura like that time Wolfwood did feel Vash's during the fight at Home?

Another MLP: NextGen OC I decided to make ^^. This one is different, but this gal doesn’t have a good nature. Her name is Saiya. Here is more about her.

Appearance: a purple pony with dark blue short hair and tail, a cutie mark of a purple poison lily

Personality: snotty, rude, rotten, sour, jealous, bitter, spoiled, cold, evil, brutal, stubborn,

Friends: Marietta, Cecelia and Aella

Enemies: ShadowSilver, Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, PinkiePie, Rarity, Spike, Princess Celestia, Luna, Scootaloo, Applebloom, Sweetie Belle and other ponies (except her friends)

Likes: bullying ShadowSilver, trying to gain her strengths in order to become princess to beat ShadowSilver at her own game, her friends, lilies, nighttime and the moon.

Dislikes: ShadowSilver (and her nature due as she grew jealous over it), Celestia, Luna, Twilight Sparkle and her friends, being underestimated, failing and getting annoyed with ShadowSilver a lot, which she did not like the most.

Saiya was born in the Heavens of a Kingdom of the Moon, when all of the sudden, her family were killed during the war, and Saiya fell from the skies (before ShadowSilver did) to Ponyville. Her family's death had turned her heart into a cold and cruel. She one day will become the future Princess of Equestria and wanted to be blessed, but unfortunately, due to her cruelty and cold nature, Celestia refused to accept Saiya to be the Princess' pupil. Horrified after Twilight Sparkle became Princess of Equestria, Saiya has changed into a different person as jealous, cruel and evil. Now since ShadowSilver came down to Equestria and became her sister Celestia's next pupil and soon to be the next Princess of Equestria. Saiya has a deep hate on ShadowSilver because everyone in Ponyville actually chose her to be the next princess of Equestria.

Saiya became ShadowSilver's bully as she began picking on her and making fun of her, taunting her constantly. She will do anything to take ShadowSilver out of the studying in order to become Celestia's pupil and the next princess of Equestria and to keep her out, sometimes with the help of her brutal friends (names in bio which will be drawn soon), who bullies ShadowSilver along side with Saiya. Siaya constantly thinks ShadowSilver is being a show off for being Celestia’s pupil and often spreads rumors to her friends about all that, which aren’t true at all. It putted ShadowSilver draining and feeling down, but girlie Shads had her friends that they have her back, which makes Saiya put more in a rage that she actually wants to do everything she can to take those goals away from ShadowSilver of becoming princess of Equestria.

I know this drawing is probably not as good (I still can’t draw ponies aggghhhh), but I did my best ^^; I’ve drawn this at school, and was going to have this displayed later, but I decided to do it now ^^;

I tried looking for a name for this character, and I was struggling since there are other OC names from other MLP fans. Saiya wasn’t a good choice for me, but oh well :p

I am against bullyism, but there might be a story soon of ShadowSilver as I come up with something for her in the MLP fandom ^^. It’ll be soon for the sweet ShadowSilver ^^

i love dragon ball and sailor moon and @lem0uro‘s saiya moon au, and i have no idea if any of this is accurate to that au, but Gohan as Ami is gonna make me cry no matter what i just know it.

Bulma and Vegeta may have lived together, but it was the last thing from harmony. When her soul calls to him in a helpless cry, he has no choice but to answer it.

She stared up at him and slowly placed her hands on his chest. It was warm, strong, and solid. She could feel the skin underneath her fingertips practically vibrating. It was so hot that she thought she should draw back but couldn't, instead she gripped tighter. Bulma's mind raced with an answer to his, one she didn't dare speak aloud for fear he would simply laugh at her. Souls that call to each other, to me that sounds like soul mates . But that's not real, is it? And if so… then, what do our souls want? Do they want to… come together?
