Multiple Yuri Series Nominated in ‘Manga We Want to See Animated’ Poll
Anime Japan’s 2021 Manga We Want to See Animated event kicked off on February 18. This fourth annual poll features 103 serialized or webcomic manga, nominated by the public. Participants can vote on one title they want to see an anime adaptation of. Among the nominees are several Yuri titles:
Uchi no Shishou wa Shippo ga Nai (My Master Has no Tail) - No. 14
Tumblr media
A young tanuki with the power to transform into a girl is enchanted by a trickster rakugo storyteller. After being driven out of town, the tanuki becomes determined to become the storyteller’s apprentice.
Oomuroke (Oomuro Family) - No. 16
Tumblr media
A spin-off of hit Yuri series Yuru Yuri, Oomuroke follows student council member Sakurako and her sisters on their everyday misadventures. Special attention is paid to older sister Nadeshiko and her three friends, one of which she is dating! But which one? Audiences are left to discover the answer to this mystery as the comedy unfolds
Whisper Me a Love Song - No. 42
Tumblr media
Bubbly, energetic first-year high school student Himari falls head over heels for her senpai Yori after hearing her band perform on the first day of school. Himari tells Yori she just loves her, and, to Himari's surprise, Yori says she loves Himari back! But when Himari realizes that she and her senpai are feeling two different kinds of love, she begins to ask herself what "love" really means...
Tadokoro-san - No. 59
Tumblr media
The hit webcomic turned serialized manga -  Shy and introverted, Tadokoro passes her free time in class drawing instead of hanging out with her classmates. But even when her classmates approach her, it’s only to make fun of her drawings and appearance. In stark contrast, Nikaido is well-liked among her peers as she has both beauty and smarts. And while everyone makes fun of Tadokoro, Nikaido on the other hand, is totally infatuated with her.
MURCIELAGO - No. 91
Tumblr media
Violence has never looked so good -  Mass murderers may not have much by way of career skills, but Kuroko Koumori seems to have landed her dream job as a hitwoman for the Tokyo police! A license to kill other killers? That's some serious job satisfaction, right there!
I’m in Love with the Villainess - No. 101
Tumblr media
Rea Taylor awakens in the world of Revolution, her favorite otome game. However, she has no interest in this world's eligible bachelors, she is madly in love with the game's villainess, and is determined to save her from the coming revolution. The series addresses LGBTQ+ identity and issues, including representation, marriage rights, discrimination, and gender dysphoria.
Yuri is my Job -No. 103
Tumblr media
Hime gets roped into working at a weird café where the waitresses pretend to be students at an all-girl boarding school. She’s strangely taken with her partner Mitsuki, who’s so kind to her in front of the customers. There’s just one problem… Mitsuki really can’t stand her! Hime is a picture-perfect high school princess–she’s admired by all and never trips up! So when she accidentally injures a café manager named Mai, she’s willing to cover some shifts to keep her facade intact. To Hime’s surprise, the café is themed after a private school where the all-female staff always puts on their best act for their loyal customers.

bwahh thank you so much! this might get long, so apologies if this ends up in a couple asks. so i'm looking for a girl of unspecified asian descent (futuristic sci-fi world where all of asia has formed into one country called "the eastern commonwealth", her adopted family is vietnamese, she lives in "new beijing", she's described as 'tanned with mousy brown hair', the author based her off of mew azuma, idk what she's going for here). she's 16/17 in canon, but i'm gonna play her a little (cont)
older than that. the hardest part i’m having is that i would prefer to have an actress over a musician/model, since their icons look more natural to me, and i need someone who’s not super feminine. the character i’m playing starts out as a mechanic. (she ends up as a queen, but i’m not daring to hope i’d be able to find both of those in the same fc.) so i need someone who wears more dirty clothes, or at least not pink and soft and dainty. if you can think of anything, i’d appreciate any help ♥♥♥
Oki doki! Honestly, I took the majority of the description from her being based off of Mew Azuma, her age, and generally short hair with tomboy-ish roles. So here are some Japanese FC’s that might fit, I couldn’t find many at the exact age of that you’ve given, so some are a bit older.
Yoshioka Riho (25) Japanese
Koike Rina (25) Japanese
Tateishi Haruka (23) Japanese
Nikaido Fumi (23) Japanese
Yoshizaki Aya (22) Japanese
Yamaya Kasumi (21) Japanese
Ohara Sakurako (22) Japanese
Hashimoto Ai (22) Japanese
Koshiba Fuka (20) Japanese
Wakana Aoi (20) Japanese
Okubo Sakurako (19) Japanese
Hirose Suzu (19) Japanese
Otomo Karen (18) Japanese
Kamishiraishi Moka (18) Japanese
Kawashima Ririka (16) Japanese
I found the majority of these off of @japanesefcs female list!

Under the cut, you will find 15 female Japanese faceclaims and 15 male Japanese faceclaims ( so 30 Japanese faceclaims in total ) who can pass as college students ( age range 18 – 22 years old ). All of the FCs listed have acting experiences. Some of them already have resources in their tag, though others have none at all. However, as a long term project, I am planning on releasing FC PACK in the futue for everyone listed. Please reblog/like if you find this useful!
