Literally can eat anything spicy without flinching purely becuase of the fact that he processes spice like a bird

She is a deer hybrid also with this she sheds her antlers like white tail deer (ie. the whole antler falls off)

I know this is one of his most iconic roles but Emmett deserves more love literally the sweetest character and CBorle played as him so well. His "little miss woods comma Elle" AH and the little things that makes Emmett RAHHHHH

Some Like it Hot (OBC) - Joe/Josephine/Kip

Did you know that he does most of this show IN HEELS. Not only that, TAP DANCING IN HEELS like are you kidding. He also wrote some lines for the show! I love the whole show in general, it is so funny and so real in how they talk about identity and how you present yourself. I can write a whole essay but that'll be for another day. I love this show with all my heart

Little Shop of Horrors (2019 off-bway revival) - Orin/others

Speaking of heels, he too was in heels for this production, but much much less than SLiH. Still, the talent is there. Especially when he plays all the different characters, from a crazy dentist like Orin to Skip Snip. He is also super unhinged and likes to drag out his death as Orin to make the audience laugh. I recommend watching the tiny desk concert first if you are not familiar

Thoroughly Modern Millie (Replacement) - Jimmy Smith

There's not much for this show, just a video of him singing What do I need with love. I liked his singing in this and the small details he does during this song to show that Jimmy has fallen for Millie is cute

Mary Poppins (Replacement) - Bert

He may claim that he was the worst tap dancing Bert but he was still a champ for learning all that choreo and even going upside down in step in time. Another one with crumbs :" Gosh what I would give for a boot cuz rn its just the disney on Bway videos and jolly holiday. He did it with Laura Michelle Kelly :)

Me and My Girl (New York City Centre) - Bill Snibson

He did this show with Laura Michelle Kelly too :))) AND THE SHOW IS SO FUNNY it's so underrated and has very funny lines. Someone said that it was basically 2 hours of CBorle being silly. I also love his and Laura Michelle Kelly's dynamics as Bill and Sally. Speaking of this couple, Bill and Sally are literally as healthy as Emmett and Elle and i love that for them

Peter and the Starcatcher (OBC) - Blackstache

Literally my favourite show of his. His blackstache is so animated and silly I love him. And his agility sliding over the trunk and running around. His moments in Mermaid Outta Me ༼⁠;⁠´⁠༎ຶ⁠ ⁠۝ ⁠༎ຶ⁠༽ silly lil guy. Similarly to Orin, he likes to drag out his hand pain to make the audience laugh. AND HIS CURLS omg this era of CBorle hair is the best imo. And he won his first tony for it! That goes to show something about his portrayal of Captain Hook and how it needs more love !!!!!

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (OBC) - Willy Wonka

A lot of people seem to see this role as the role he went bald for. We joke about Borled Egg a lot but he brought such beautiful unhingeness to this role that really brought out the joy of this show.

Footloose (The Muny) - Director

He also directs! Though there is no boot for this production, he talks about his experience directing and working on the show in some interviews and a reunion zoom call. The cast talks about how he allows them to be free in their portrayal of the characters while giving advice and proper directions, especially since he was in Footloose for tour and bway. I would have loved to watch it since footloose is a show I like too. NaTasha Yvette Williams is also in this!

Anyway, he has done a lot more shows, he's been in the industry for nearly 30 years so he has a lot under his belt and I wish he wasn't just reduced to Vox's VA, Marvin or Shakespeare. He's a brilliant actor with impeccable comedic timing and seriousness. He's not a two-time Tony award winner for nothing!

Welcome My Neighbor's first neighbor! And my first welcome home OC!

"Hi hi hi hi hi! Oh let me patch that up for ya!"

Patches bashful is very prominent to welcome my neighbor the show focuses around her and her neighbors antics although she's very shy patches can sound enthusiastic if she's comfortable enough

According to recovered illustrated material Patches has purple horns hidden underneath her hair she hates showing them and doesn't like talking about them it's only shown in her Halloween costume

Patches is a ragdoll that was modified to operate like a puppet she had no mechanics her ears were already very floppy and her tail was Cotten that was sown on

The bow she wears was a gift from Sally starlet herself when first coming to the neighborhood as a gift for at least attempting to get over her nervousness

Patches is normally seen around howdy throughout the shows run sometimes even following around barnaby

The icons on her sweater are each representing the actual neighbors of home!

Patches is the main character of welcome my neighbor and the first new neighbor inside welcome home

Patches balances both her shyness and confidence she is shy almost all the time however given a minute or show she'll start to become more confident

Her dialogue in the both of the shows has patches repeating the same word more than once (an example is in the beginning of the post) it's definitely not a stutter she doesn't do that

Patches sweater wasn't originally Rainbow colored it was very different however near the end of the episode it was changed to rainbow matching up to Barnaby and Wally it's believed that Patches sweater was removable on her puppet along with her bell

It's implied in the original welcome home that howdy and barnaby would more often than not try to win Patches affection it's unclear her status of relationship with the two however barnaby and Howdy are still best pals

The virtual event with Shea Ernshaw just ended! It was so lovely to listen & watch. They answered a lot of questions. You can replay the entire thing here! Here’s some important stuff I jotted down while listening:

Disney was the one to reach out to Shea Ernshaw with a sequel idea for The Nightmare Before Christmas in Sally’s Point of View. However, they asked *her* for a story idea.

^ They approached her at the start of 2020, so the writing process took about a year-and-a-half.

The collaboration went like this: Shea would write a pitch -> the pitch gets sent to the Disney team -> then sent to Tim Burton & his team for approval -> and finally sent back to Shea with notes/changes.

^ There was a lot of back-and-forth, and it would take a long time to hear back from everybody. (In month intervals)

The Disney and Tim Burton teams loved the story idea. There weren’t a lot of major changes requested. Shea thought for-sure that they would say ‘no’ to Sally’s backstory idea, but Tim Burton and Disney approved it. (She also thought the Queen Elizabeth II scene would get removed, but it didn’t.)

There was small talk of getting Catherine O’Hara to voice the audiobook for Long Live the Pumpkin Queen. It didn’t fall though.

Shea felt intimidated for writing something that would get scrutinized by protective fans, but claimed to feel like Sally’s ghostwriter, who was being led through her story rather than writing it.

In terms of “messing with the lore”,  Shea was careful and didn’t want to mess with iconic details. Regarding Sally’s ‘past’, she wanted to “free her from Dr. Finkelstein”, to not be ‘his’ creation(she never liked him being her ‘creator’), and gave her a ‘new’ past that was solely independent and a separate identity from Dr. Finkelstein.

She has never met any of the original TNBC cast. She didn’t get to work with Tim Burton directly (as he was incredibly hard to reach), but says it would’ve been extremely helpful since she had many screenplay questions. Most questions were only relayed to him.

Shea has no control over whether TV or movie adaptions will/will not happen. She says if they plan on making it in stop-motion, then they’ll likely have to shoot it *now*. We can only cross our fingers.

^ She DID say writing a family for Jack & Sally would be fun, with ragdoll/skeleton kids running around...It *could* happen in the future. There’s no promises, but it’s a maybe.

(This was my question ahaha) Regarding the cover, she may share some early draft pencil sketches of Sally in the future. She didn’t feel like it looked ‘powerful’ enough, so she asked the artists to make her look more like a *Queen*, and to wear her crown.

Shea first began plotting the story with associating Jack Skellington with nightmares and Sally with dreams.

monster au idea;; plotting call

Concept: Once upon a time, a biologist wanted to create life after had lost his own son to small pox. Though he held a British name, Arnold Webber had roots from Moorish heritage. The intention was to begin with a creature that would not remind of him of his late boy, that he could not attach feelings to. If he could bring something from scrap back to life, surely, he could bring back his son.

It was okay to fail with an it.

And eventually it became a she; akin to a porcelain doll. Her brain and pale limbs savaged from mortuary and university, pieces of skin stitched together with white thread and black, copper bolts pressed between the columns of her neck. As the creature slept, Webber would tell her stories about his late boy, about the dreams he had for his son, he would tell her stories and myths.

The creature very much liked Greek myths; and although he was male, she liked the story of Prometheus the best. Not that the silent brain and dead lips could ever tell her creator. And between each tale, Webber grew ever fonder of his creature. He even named her after his ancestral grandmother, a woman who escaped the Moorish prosecution in Spain -- Dolores.

And one night there was a storm, with the winds howling and the heat of the mysterious lightening blasting the sky white. It was a perfect night to bring Dolores to life. But something went wrong, not with Dolores, but with the energy made by lightening. The electricity. It surged through Webber and left him broken and smoldering as Dolores awoke.

And the patchwork monster, the ragdoll creature, sobbed for the father she never knew. Abandonment was never Webber's intent as he fell in love with his new child, but abandonment was the outcome. The creature, who barely knew her name, ran to the woods and lived in marsh and brine; slowly she began to learn how to speak from blind hermits who loved her charming voice. And save for the blind, Dolores lived in fear of humanity.

But she did not understand why those who could see her, hated her.

One day, she even found a crystal-clear pond. It was not so much the creature was ugly; but that the creature was wrong. Her skin mismatched, the stitches that she had to learn how to replace, the awkwardness of her movements. It was very clear she was not human at all.

She accepted this loneliness, living to marsh, to bog, to wood, sometimes dressing to conceal, sometimes helping the lost. But humanity ticks away in advancement and soon, there won't be anywhere else for the creature to hide.

Verse open to: Westworld, Crossover, Historical (early 18th century to modern), Modern, Supernatural, Horror

Notes: 

I will not be using icons for this verse. One can assume that the Creature is more akin to Sally of a Nightmare Before Christmas than Frankenstein’s Monster, since my visual cue for Dolores in this verse is still Evan Rachel Wood who lives the uncanny valley. The creature is lovely in a twisted way, but inhuman in movement and in first appearance.

Her persona is largely based on S1!Dolores, except far more timid, to make her more approachable to other muses.

I made cosplay-fashion work attire useful for sports!

So, I work at a real estate company in Madison. I love this job. I can literally dress in awesome clothes that make me confident and happy (as long as they can also be considered business attire). I wear a lot of dresses I buy at Hot Topic, for example. Kylo Ren cosplay dress, Sally Ragdoll dress, Alice Through the Looking Glass dresses, lots of beautiful black dresses that would make Morticia Addams proud. And everyone loves them. 

Today, my manager emailed me before work and told me that I could dress in Green Bay Packers gear to support ‘our’ team. I’m not a sportsball kinda lady. I don’t follow football or basketball. I don’t own a Packers or Badgers shirt. But... I own a Loki dress. And his colors just so happen to be the same as the states beloved football team- Green and Gold! Loophole!

Now I am sitting at the reception desk, wearing my Loki cosplay dress I bought from Hot Topic nearly 5 years ago, with green and gold eyeshadow, green lipstick and my Loki medallion necklace. And everyone is complimenting me on my style! 

But, I realized, I don’t have to stop with just my beautiful Loki dress helping me look like I support a sports team. My Captain America dress can double for rooting for the Patriots! My Thor dress is perfectly suited to help me cheer on the Vikings! And Iron Man is my go to for the 49ers. The Panthers and Falcons are obvious. If anyone were a fan of Thanos, they could support the Titans. But it doesn’t have to be just Marvel. My Jack Sparrow outfit can totally work to root for the Buccaneers. And I’m sure I can incorporate any number of Star Wars icons into the scheme. Just match the colors, or icons. I can do that.

I have finally found a way to bridge the Geek/Sports gap between me and some of my friends and family!
