Love a throne room battle! So much cool stuff in a throne room. Loads of precious, delicate, treasures and neato decorations! (I've heard of a "bull in a china shop", -BUT THIS IS RIDICULOUS!

Such is life in the throne zone, it's time for Crit Role Miniature Rollout Campaign 3 Episode 53!

Sweet map! The urban stone road mat is from Mats by Mars and the dungeon tiles are Dwarven Forge, but specifically, the Emperor's Palace Marble Pack. Which is sort of a reskin of the Dungeons of Doom set.

The marble effect I'd say is quite good. Very readable, very distinct, very nifty. Also, sprinkled into this scene is a Mantic Games carpet, a Pathfinder Battles Crimson Throne throne, and one mystery throne.

I just loooooove this Emissary of Purphoros model! The sculpt itself is very nice. And the literal-glitter-infused translucent starry void plastic/paint combo is OUTSTANDING! Five outta five stars. Also impressive, this model is a rather faithful recreation of the original Magic the Gathering Theros art by Sam Burley:

Coincidentally, Sam Burley would make for an excellent minotaur D&D character name!

Floral Tea

Bucky x barista!reader 

Sam has been encouraging Bucky to try and get out more. Bucky refuses for the longest time, until Sam basically drags him to the local café. “It’s only a few minutes walk and it's such a beautiful morning” Leave it to Sam to describe 5am as beautiful

Only about a minute after you turn the sign to open, the bell on the door rings. Glancing up from where you are straightening up the tables for the day, you see them. The one in front stands with a seemingly confident air; he is way to awake this early in the morning. Another stood slightly offset behind him, this one looked a lot more broody. His eyes scanned the room methodically. He was a lot scarier than the other one, quite strong but with quite a lot of anger set in the lines of his face.  You welcome them in and go over behind the counter. “What can I get you two this mornin’?”

The broodier of the two basically glares at you. But the one in front glances back and then elbows him. They make their way up to the counter and glance up to the sign.

“I’ll take a 12oz cappuccino” “Wonderful! Is 2% dairy milk fine” The confident one nods with a polite smile. “Great, and what is your name?” “Sam”

While you’re busy chatting with Sam, Bucky is analyzing everything in the shop. Thankfully it is only the three of you. He looks you up and down, your hair is tied back in a braid that goes from the top of your scalp all the way down. You were quite peppy even though it was obvious how tired you are from the rings of exhaustion under your eyes. Bucky watches everything you do, every subtle shift in your voice and stance. He almost wants to find a reason to distrust you. A reason that will let him leave and not have to come back. But no matter how long he watches there is not a single real flaw about you. 

“And what can I get for you?” Bucky is brought back into reality and he realizes he has no idea. He doesn’t want to show his anxiety so he asks “what do you recommend?” You break eye-contact to think about what kinda things this burley and scary looking man might want. “Well it all depends on what you normally like to drink. I am more of a tea person myself, so I will always recommend our vanilla chai, or for a more floral drink I love our blend of this rose and hibiscus herbal but only some people like that one…hm I guess I should have asked if you wanted recommendations for coffee or tea..” immediately he is captivated by how passionate you are about just some tea. He can’t even recall the last time he had any but with how excited you get, he would agree that it is the best thing in the world.

Bucky keeps his stoic face. It makes you rock on your feet, the intense gaze of this strong and moderately handsome man. “I’ll try the flower one” he almost mumbles and continues with “you seem to really like that one and I can’t judge it till I try it.” Even Sam is taken aback. After a few seconds you regain your thoughts and ask about size. “Um medium? Oh and the name’s Bucky” You smile at them both and Sam steps up to pay. After the business is complete, you let them know they can either watch you make it or go and hang out around the shop.

The two of them sit down on a couch, just barely out of your ear-shot. “I never thought you’d be one for a floral tea” Sam teases. Bucky glares at him. “How could you see someone that excited about a specific tea and not try it?” Bucky asks while he fixes his gaze on you happily working away. When he finally looks back at Sam, he just has a dumb smirk on his face. Bucky knows what's about to come and Sam confirms it with “I told you coming over here was a good idea. You even got a cute barista out of the deal.” 

Even though Bucky hasn’t even gotten his drink yet, he knows he’ll be coming back again even if just to see you.
