DPxDC Prompt where Danny gets taken in by the Waynes and has been living there for a short while, but he has a lot left unresolved back in Amity Park.
The portal is still open, it's still a hazard. His parents or the GIW could come looking for him at any time. Vlad is still out there, and despite the hurt of rejection (and worse) from his parents, Danny can't help but wonder what the man could do to his dad. What his enemies might do to Sam, or Tucker, or Jazz.
What he's allowing to happen by running away.
It's all constantly on his mind, a firestorm of regrets and doubts and flashes to times he's spent strapped down, unable to move as cold hands hover over him…
Danny starts to get sick. It's not a human illness, it's something of his core. He feels feverish, tired-- he's hallucinating shouts and flashes of green. He's not aware of how bad it is until he tries to get out of bed and falls back.

The manor is too quiet. There's an unsettling air. The shadows crawl and creep. There's a ghastly sound coming from their newest resident's bedroom but when Bruce tries to knock there's no answer. When he tests the doorknob, he finds it frozen shut.
One moment, the bats are standing in the manor, some hurrying to investigate the door, when the world suddenly tilts on its axis. The shadows bleed, the walls flicker and constrict, forming new shapes. In a blink, the manor has been constricted down to what looks like a brownstone townhouse they've never seen before, with everyone shoved into a spacious living room.
It's anyone's guess how they got there or why-- or where Danny is.
Tentatively, Bruce tests the nearby front door…
There's a wall of Lazarus green on the other side.
OR: Danny's regrets and trauma manifests in a ghostly illness that warps the manor, dragging its inhabitants into a nightmare of his own making where they have to wade through his memories and fears to find him.

I inadvertently signed something that does not reflect my beliefs.
Sam is a 43 year old man. He is not a naive, inexperienced jobbing actor, hasn’t been for 10 years now.
He reads contracts for his job/career, real estate acquisitions, book deals, negotiating contracts for the distribution of SS. On and on.
He has legal advice, so he would absolutely know you read and understand the content and context of any document before you sign. It’s a basic rule.
Only he knows what promoted him to enter the political firestorm that is the horror of the Middle East.

Better Writers than me should write this.
So i was listening to one of my playlists and i got struck by something i'd love to see someone far greater than myself write.
Wednesday gets convinced by Enid to watch a film on her laptop, typical cliché lol, Enid convinces Wednesday to watch Ghost (1990) and she's intrigued because Death and Ghosts, and Enid obviously for the romance and comedy
And then they get to that scene.
Where Sam possesses Oda Mae so that he can touch Molly again
And that song starts to play - The Righteous Brothers, Unchained Melody
And Wednesday has such a massive epiphany because of the song, like her body literally goes into shock. And she realizes she is deeply and hopelessly in love with Enid. Like it shoots fire straight through her veins. Setting her heart ablaze, a raging inferno, a firestorm. All that only burns for Enid.
Hell both of them could start gay panicking right there on the bed Lmao

Some thoughts:
Killer Frost is not a Flash villain. She's a Firestorm villain. Not that she couldn't fight the Flash, but she wouldn't logically be part of a Sinister Six for him. That would be like having Lex Luthor be part of Batman's Sinister Six. I blame the Flash TV show for this one.
Is this Mirror Master Sam or Evan? Which one it is could drastically change the team dynamics; Evan is a lot less reliable in a group setting than Sam, but Sam has more of an ego.
I suspect that the person who made the video has not read any stories about Golden Glider that were written prior to Geoff Johns' run. Pegging Golden Glider as being the nice one or the most likely to help the Flash only makes sense if you don't know anything about her Bronze Age history. Although I certainly don't blame the video maker for getting confused about this, given the way that DC has been writing Lisa lately. It's a frustrating sign of the way in which her character has been misunderstood since...well...basically since Messner-Loebs' third or fourth issue with her.
Captain Boomerang always gets the short end of the stick. He's way more dangerous than most people assume he is.
With the exception of Killer Frost, who shouldn't even be here since she's not a Flash villain, none of these guys would need a reason to come together, seeing as all of them are already part of the Rogues. You don't need an excuse for characters to team up when they're already allies.
I'm kind of surprised DC hasn't attempted to do an all-Speedster team-up already. It's exactly the sort of thing that you'd expect them to dream up.
If anyone on the Speedster team switches sides, my money would be on Zoom (Hunter Zolomon) or Godspeed. They were both friends with the Flash at one point and seem like they might get uncomfortable with Savitar and Eobard's more pointless acts of violence. Johnny Quick in the comics is usually a pretty nasty son of a gun, so I doubt he'd help the Flash.
Team #3 is interesting. Though I can't see it lasting very long unless Grodd is using some sort of mental control over the others to keep them in line, since none of the others like him. A power struggle between him and Thinker would also be interesting, although Roscoe would also assuredly be vying for control over the group.
Hurrah, he didn't laugh at the Top! Usually everyone makes fun of him, so it's nice to see that not happen here. And he even knew that spinning increases Roscoe's brainpower!
Pied Piper would absolutely be the one to switch sides here (unless we were dealing with pre-2000s Al, in which case he would also be a candidate).
I'm not sure that this team-up would work logistically. Even if they all agreed to work together, it would be very difficult to find a time when all of these guys were around---and evil--simultaneously. The only time it could have happened was very early in Barry's career, since Al reformed in 1964 and stayed reformed, more or less, until around 2001. This would also mean that the story would feature a Barry who hadn't married Iris, a very young Wally, and a group of comparatively inexperienced villains...and if the story was during Barry's term as the Flash, the villain who would be most likely to switch sides would be Al, not Hartley. From 1964 to 1988 (or, in-universe, during the remainder of Barry's initial career as the Flash), Albert was reformed, and, while it is possible that his evil personalities might have emerged at some point to facilitate this team-up, it does seem a bit on the unlikely side. After Wally becomes the Flash, Hartley reforms, and then he can't be part of the group. The Top being intermittently dead only makes things even more difficult to handle logistically---especially since his telekinetic powers first manifested right before he died. Even saying that this Dr. Alchemy is Alvin doesn't help a whole lot, since Alvin didn't debut until after Roscoe's first death (and only a few years before Hartley reformed).
Dr. Alchemy is far more powerful than this video would imply. I can't blame the person who made the video for not knowing a whole lot about him, given how comparatively obscure he is, but it is nevertheless true that Dr. Alchemy can do far more than create chemicals. He can, quite literally, turn anything into anything else, without even needing technology to do it. He's powerful enough to give Grodd a run for his money.
I find it hard to picture Albert joining any group. Alvin would, but Albert generally works alone, and has become downright anti-social since Geoff Johns got ahold of him. They'd have to offer something pretty impressive to get him to join them instead of just wandering off to go read. He's so powerful that they couldn't force him into it against his will. And from the picture being used and the fact that it seems unlikely that most people who aren't super-huge Rogue nerds know about Alvin anyway, I think it's a fair bet to assume we're talking about Albert here.
The last team is also the one that seems most unlikely to me---unless, again, Grodd is using his mental powers in some capacity to control people. Captain Cold, Mirror Master, and Weather Wizard would be very, very wary of being anywhere near Grodd and would almost assuredly not agree to any plan he masterminded, and they outright hate Eobard. Also, Turbine would probably be reluctant to work with any of them unless manipulation was involved. And then there's the minor detail that Grodd and Eobard probably couldn't be in the same room with each other for a minute before their competing egos caused the group to collapse.
If you have one spinning, green-uniform-wearing villain named Roscoe on your Sinister Six team for the Flash, it should probably be the Top, not Turbine. Dillon's been around for over sixty years at this point and is still haunting the edges of the DC Universe. Hynes lasted less than 10 years. I feel kind of bad for not liking Turbine, since he has some interesting character ideas behind him, but I hold a slightly irrational grudge against him for being created to be a replacement for the Top, a character I am inexplicably but very fond of (and not as a legacy character in the vein of Axel or Evan). Also, Top is frankly scarier than Turbine.
Heat Wave is absent because the video maker inexplicably doesn't like Mick (as he stated in another video where he ranked a lot of DC villains). I have no idea why. Mick is great.
Obviously, this is not intended in a mean-spirited light. This video is more impressive than any video I could make, and people are allowed to have opinions that are different from mine.

Rogues playing DnD: Classes
I fully admit that this is based on my limited experience of DnD, mainly through season 1 of Vox Machina, The Gamers 2: Dorkness Rising and FrasierDnD Twitter, specifically this. I also used to play The Dark Eye from which I steal aspects. And WoW

Piper: DungeonMaster
He brings them together. They call him a nerd for it, but it sounds like fun so they all join in. But while Piper is the most experienced as of now, he hasn't played since college and wasn't the dungeon master, he isn't 100% in control and improvises a lot. At first he tries to keep them on the story path but learns to relax and let go. He used to have a high level bard in college and frequently uses that character's relatives as npcs.
James: hmmmmm
In the Dark Eye there were classic fae changelings. Fae could take a child and leave a changeling in its wake. And you could then play as the child that was taken which grew up in the fae realm, learn magic and becomes fae-like (If I remember correctly). James would play a character but never actually clarify whether he was the original character or the changeling pretending to be him.
Or I go with my initial answer and say that he roleplays as someone who does not fit into the world of DnD (as I once played a whole quest trying to be Indiana Jones). Half-elf...alledgedly
Mick: Monk....now
Mick's character became a monk later in life and starts as a veteran character (is that a thing in DnD?). Which means that he starts stronger but his character is old. He'd be a Dragonborn because they look badass. He is always super-prepared and carries endless supplies.
Mark: Wizard, elf or human
I hc Mark as someone who likes reading and not just Mark Twain, who was overshadowed by his gifted brother who was into natural sciences. He probably loves fantasy books but never engaged as a teen, wanting to appear tough. He has big ideas but hasn't read the rulebook too closely, just stories and wants to be a wizard who can do everything, mainly throw fireballs at people. Piper has to remind him frequently that he can't do the thing he just announced he was going to do. "I cast Firestorm!" "Do you know the spell?" "No?" "What about your spell slots?" "My what?"
Roscoe: Artificer, human
He sticks to what he knows best so he essentially plays himself. BUT he has read the rulebook twice and has become a rule's lawyer. He often thinks outside of the box but sometimes gets bigged down by what the numbers say are possible and what's a good story. He'd try a peasant railgun.
Lisa: Rogue, tiefling
Skintight leather? Check. Awfully sharp knives? Check. Steal absolutely EVERYTHING? Check. Often gets the party into trouble with her antics. "Can I roll to steal the crown?" "Seeing as its currently on the king's head, he's looking at you and is surrounded by his royal guard....no." She'd play tiefling, sexy as hell.
Digger: Barbarian, half-orc or orc
Digger junior, his character's name, will fight everyone, drink everything and then fight everyone again. He is legendary in bar brawls. His secret goal is to be the brawler like no ever ever was. Fighting's his real test, drinking is his cause. Digger jr is Digger unfiltered which you'd think was impossible.
Len: Druid, elf
He was blackmailed into attending at first (but secretly has fun) and plays a druid, almost exclusively in bear form (assuming that's possible, I' drawing on my WoW knowledge). His favorite trick is making people think he's a regular bear and only reveals himself when it's funny. Has written a couple of bear puns, but is afraid to use them unless he's a little drunk.
Sam: Bard! And a woman!
Charisma, charisma and charisma! He needs everyone to know that he is the most beautiful lady of all the land. And his character doesn't get her hands dirty, she stays outside and keeps inspiring the party. In ideal circumstances anyway, she has mace (an actual mace) when things get tough.
Roy: Warlock, Tiefling.
Roy strives to become an eldritch entity himself, possibly by killing his patron. At least he's not giving up his soul. He draws the most beautiful character portraits between rounds.

This must be a stressful week for Critical Role.
On top of the whole OGL issue that might have blindsided them after a long break, they also have to deal with this in the last few days leading up to the Legend of Vox Machina season 2 premiere.
I bet 99% of the company bandwidth is dedicated to the LOVM season 2 premiere.
Tweets, promo material, press releases, the whole media interview thing. They've been working on this for longer than we know.
(Also, I fully believe Sam Riegel was blindsided by all the comments about the OGL issue as he tweeted/retweeted things he was told to, as normal).
On top of that layer cake of stress is probably how the CritRole team might now be in tough discussions about sponsorship contracts, and NDAs, and discussing where to go from here.
But also, legally they can't really say anything because WOTC/Hasbro hasn't said anything (like a bunch of cowards). They've also canceled a live video to say something about the OGL.
(From what I've seen of comments a lot of people underestimate how much legal firestorm a company like Hasbro-WoTC can bring down on Critical Role.Despite what people think, Critical Role is not a big company with endless money).
I don't envy the team right now, especially whoever's handling PR and Marketing. I really hope they do have someone trained in handling media crises. The cast is good and savvy with social media but also they shouldn't be handling all this by themselves.
From what I've seen actors/writers/etc., handling putting out fires by themselves only ends up making things worse.
And a lot of the time it seems none of them even talked about the messaging.
TBH the only new media company I've seen handle controversies really well is the Try Guys.
From when things leaked, the radio silence as they wrapped up their investigation, kicking out Ned, the statement on social media, and days later a solemnly united front explaining with no drama or artifice what happened*.
No matter what Ned's SNL friends would like people to believe that was a classy way to handle a crisis.
But also there's a bit of surreal quality to what's happening right now because this could legit be a Leverage & Leverage Redemption episode. Hell, this is the type of troubleshooting legal consultancy Sophie would throw Harry's way.
The Critical Role team left 2022 and believed they were prepared for the whirlwind of their January schedule only for the first weeks of 2023 sucker-punching them.
But also the greed of mega-corps is a neverending black hole. WoTC was already earning a lot but it was not enough for Hasbro and the shareholders. And the new President of WoTC still thought they were under monetizing DND.

CHAPTER 98: SCORCHED EARTH

“Stand down, (F/N),” he said, the usual smile on his face long gone, “Don’t make this difficult.”
You frowned, the seriousness of his voice enough to send chills across your skin.
“Things are already difficult, Sam,” you called across the roof, “Besides, what fun would it be if it was easy?”
“This isn’t fun,” he snapped, straightening as you took a slow step toward him, “It was fun when I thought we were on the same side.”
“And now?”
“Honestly? I don’t know whose side you're on. And that means I can’t trust you.”
You took a deep breath, licking your bottom lip before biting it with a nod, “That’s fair, Sam.”
“Where’s Wraith?” he asked, his hand falling to his side as you took another step toward him; his fingers hovered over the pistol that was there.
You raised your hand slightly, “I don’t know.”
“Don’t lie to me.”

Bucky Barnes Bingo Master List Post :)
So for the very first time ever I decided to sign up for a bingo and the very first one that I did is the Bucky Barnes Bingo @buckybarnesbingo which has been without a doubt one of the most pleasant organized writing events I have ever experienced. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the bingo to anyone who wants to do something fun with creativity where it is low pressure and a warm, welcome environment for creativity.
That being said I’m excited to say that I finished my first Bingo Card in this round (along with two adopted prompts) and below the cut you can find the masterlist that contains links to the things this bingo inspired with me :)
1. I kinda dropped off the face of the planet for the past couple of years since I started college. Does anyone know an exact reason why Elton just stopped recording with SnC, Aaron, + Jake in late 2019 only to pick back up recording with all of them except for Sam and Colby while accusing the boys of copying? I'm also just now learning about a bunch of drama with the second trap house in Hawaii? I feel so out of the loop with no clue how to catch up. Does anyone have a crash course?
oof you've missed a firestorm. for the record, i've stopped following snc and all (formerly?) associated parties, so i'm not totally up-to-date on everything. gonna throw this below a cut because i have a feeling it's gonna get long. also, this is all from memory, so take it all with a grain of salt.
also, sorry this took so long to get to. i've been busy trying to get ready for my second year of law school and i haven't been active on here very much lately.
i'm not entirely sure why elton initially stopped filming with everyone in late 2019 since at that point i only cared about snc and didn't pay attention to anyone else, someone else might be able to fill in those details. but as for the present, elton got pissy with snc because snc started a series called "25 x 25" where they were going to do 25 things that they always wanted to do before they turned 25. elton felt as if it were a copy of tfil and started talking crap about the boys as a result. which is ironic in many ways because when snc picked up doing haunted content again, elton and snc ended up going to a lot of the same places with elton's videos often coming after snc's (making elton look like the copycat—though, it was all probably mostly a coincidence). i think there might have been more drama regarding that, but again i've been out of the loop for the last few months. and of course, the 25x25 v. tfil was extra funny considering neither party owns the concept of doing a bucket list nor doing content surrounding bucket lists.
as for jake and corey, after snc bought a house in la (which they called hawaii because a. they were trying to build interest in the move and nothing brought interest quite like making everyone believe they were leaving la and b. they said the house felt like a paradise or something), jake and corey moved in and thus began trap house 2.0. it didn't last long. jake and corey moved out a few months after moving in. as far as what's been said about that, snc said that jake and corey wanted to focus on doing their thing and corey specifically said he wanted to focus on music/dance and stop doing paranormal content. i don't recall if jake's said anything about it.
corey, for what it's worth, did do a little bit of music, but he eventually got back with elton and started doing paranormal content with him. neither corey nor jake have said much about snc since, and snc haven't said much about them either. after corey and jake left the second trap house, pretty much all of the associated friends left too. (though, some have come back from time to time when there's a party thrown in the second trap house).
unrelated but also semi-related if we're doing a crash course on what you've missed, there was also a brief bit of drama between snc and devyn because on snc's podcast on xplr club (an exclusive subscription service where they post content and do livestreams and podcasts and other stuff idk), they said that elton's ex and devyn had drama over a shirt or something? which, according to devyn, was wildly misleading and there was a lot more to it. i don't remember much of that situation, but i remember her ranting for a while about it. (which—can i just say for a second that it was partially weird that she got upset about that when i remember on corey and aaron's podcast a few years ago they told the same story and no one said anything back then? which she might not have known, or maybe she just didn't feel comfortable speaking about the real problem back then, or maybe she did and i just missed it at the time, but it did feel odd when it went down). i think snc might have taken down the podcast afterwards? im not sure, there entire situation was happening during a time where i was losing interest in snc so i didn't pay attention to everything.
recently, jake, corey, and aaron got together again and jake posted a picture of them saying "trap boys reporting in", which felt...weird, considering half of the trap boys were missing (elton who i always forget was part of the trap house because he didn't live in the original one very long + the big elephant in the room: snc).
snc, as far as i've noticed, haven't said anything about jake and corey, or any of the other (former?) friends. snc recently bought a house in las vegas and are there i think with kat (maybe stas too? again, idk i haven't been paying attention). which honestly? kinda preferable compared to the weird shadiness that a lot of the others have done, even if im nosy and want to know all the nitty gritty details lmao.
and...that's all i know of. if anyone who's currently a fan of snc and/or remembers anything else i missed/misremembered, feel free to chime in.
