Based on @ariscats headcanon that Avery is a hopeless romantic which I agree is very much canon, well, I have the perfect song from her pov and it very much gets you in touch with your inner romantic, too.
And here's one that sounds like it's from Jameson's perspective.
Oh, one more gem.
Happy belated 20th to our one and only favorite Heiress!

Sam Fischer's "This city's gonna break my heart/This city's gonna love me then leave me alone/This city's got me chasing stars/It's been a couple months since I felt like I'm home." (This City)
And OneRepublic's "I remember feeling broke as a bottle of wine/I didn't move to the city to count all my pennies and worship the Hollywood sign." (Rich Love)
And Palaye Royale's "There is no such thing as love in LA/Plastic people don't got nothing to say/They're judging me, I'm judging you/We ain't got nothing else to do/There's no such thing as love in LA." (No Love In LA)
And Panic! at the Disco's "But nobody knows you now/When you're dying in LA/And nobody owes you now/When you're dying in LA." (Dying in LA)
And Alec Benjamin's "When they sold you the dream you were just 16/Packed a bag and ran away/And it's a crying shame you came all this way/'Cause you won't find Jesus in LA." (Jesus in LA)
And Joshua Basset's "I just gotta get out of LA/Everyone comes here but nobody leaves/Yeah, we're all only actors, no one's actually happy/It's all 'Who do you know?' and 'When did you know them?'/Not 'Where you're from?' but 'Where are you goin'?'/'How can you help me get to where I need?'" (LA)
Artists dream of moving to LA, but everyone who comes there dreams of getting out.

Some nights you want to remember forever
Tumblr media
🎤🎶🎼I've been seeing lonely people in crowded rooms
Covering their old heartbreaks with new tattoos
It's all about smoke screens and cigarettes
Looking through low lights at silhouettes
But all I see is lonely people in crowded rooms
This city's gonna break my heart
This city's gonna love me then leave me alone
This city's got me chasing stars
It's been a couple months since I felt like I'm home
Am I getting closer to knowing where I belong?🎵🎙🎧

Sam Fischer and Demi Lovato - What Other People Say
I used to call my mom every Sunday So she knew her love wasn't far away But now I'm all fucked up out in LA 'Cause I care more about what other people say
I wanted to recommend this song not because I relate to the lyrics, but because I’ve grown and matured enough to get to the point where I don’t care more about what other people say. Sometimes it’s good to remind yourself of how far you’ve come.
The stripped version is beautiful as well.

Song: What Other People Say
A quick analysis of a song I've been playing on repeat (excerpt below, full text in link above).
What do you want to be when you grow up? What do you want to be after high school? after college? in the new year? When I was an undergraduate, the tried-and-true conversation starter was “What do you want to do with your major?”
Some iteration of this question – asking what you anticipate for yourself in the near or far future – is a common icebreaker. Much of the time, answers pertain to career or family aspirations; they’re about what you’ll have. In the background of these wished-for accomplishments, though, is also the unspoken assumption or hope of what you’ll be when the milestone or date is passed.
Life doesn’t always go the way we expect. For some/many, life seems to never go the way they expect. In a similar vein, we don’t always become the people who we expect. We may be worse than our imaginations or we may be better; it’s probably a mix for most, unexpected vice in one area and unexpected virtue in another.
That difference between what we think we’ll become and what we actually become is the thrust of “What Other People Say,” a duet by American singer Demi Lovato and Australian singer Sam Fischer. It appears in Lovato’s seventh studio album Dancing with the Devil… the Art of Starting Over (2021), which she crafted to chronicle the reformative period following her 2018 drug overdose.
