You were walking around the kitchen with eyes still puffy from the night before, which you had spent erupting in small breakdowns right when you thought the previous one would be the last ever. You almost teared up again when you went to pour coffee in your cup and noticed that none was left. However, Wanda’s comforting hand your shoulder kept you from doing so.

“Here, let me take care of this.”

In the blink of an eye, your cup was filled and warm to perfection. She stood before you, her head tilted and her eyes filled with concern.

“You’re still coming tonight, right?”

“Tonight?”

“Stark.”

“What’s with Tony?”

“His party, Y/N. Don’t tell me you’ve forgotten about it.”

Of course you had. So many things were running in your mind and Stark’s party had been the very last to do so. All you’d been thinking about lately was what you were going to do next. You shook your head in confusion and frowned, wondering if a going to a party would be the best choice to make at that moment. Wanda caught up, and gave you half a smile. Taking your hands in hers, she squeezed them with affection.

“You have to come. I’m sure it’ll help you clear your head. Plus, Natasha can’t come… I can only handle so many bad news,” she leaned in a bit, and gave you the puppy dog look only she can do so well.

She smiled victoriously the minute you rolled your eyes, in defeat. “Yes. I’m confident you will thank me tomorrow morning,” she said before kissing your cheek and leaving to go to training.

The day passed on an average note. You spent an hour or so training with Steve and Sam, who had both tried to make you forget your problems with punches and kicks.

“Well, if these aren’t the two most beautiful women I’ve ever seen. Not even in Asgard,” you and Wanda turned around to face Thor, smiling with a drink in hand. Handsome couldn’t even be the right word to compliment him back, but you still used it.

“I have to agree here,” Pietro appeared behind him and walked in to plant a protective kiss on his sister’s forehead. “You do look very beautiful, Y/N,” he noticed out loud with a thick accent, as his eyes quickly scanned your entire self which made you feel naked almost.

The music was loud, almost too much but this and drinks were the perfect combo to make you think about anything else than him. However, the content smile quickly disappeared from your face when you spot him at the bar, with a hand holding firmly the back of a woman you’d never seen before. “Why’d I have to look at this damn bar,” you thought, regretful.

“What’s wrong, dragoste?” you heard Pietro’s voice quite close to your ear, which sent shivers down your back.

“Hm? Nothing. I think I’m gonna take some air,” you said loudly enough for him to hear. You thought he’d leave it at that but that’s knowing Pietro wrong. A frown automatically decored his traits and he faked a pouty expression, earning a smile from you.

He leaned in again, “Don’t tell me it’s because of that guy, there.” You tried to fake innocence but gave up because he’d shown you enough times before that he can always see right through your bullshit. “C’mon.”

You didn’t have the time to think before feeling yourself being dragged deeper into the crowd, yet closer to the bar. It didn’t take you long to connect the dots, Pietro had a plan. Classic one, even stupid but saying that it didn’t make you feel like a teen again would be a lie.

“This song actually makes me despise Americans a bit less,” Pietro admitted with a grin as he took your hand in order to make you twirl once or twice. Being with him was like a breath of fresh air. He’d always have this special ability to make you smile and crack a laugh even when you really didn’t feel like it. Again, he didn’t miss. He’d managed to make you forget about what you had just witnessed. However, what you hadn’t expected was for Pietro’s charm to actually work on you. When you weren’t single, you’d been doing your best to not appear like his tricks made you feel anything. You’d stay friendly at best and leave it at that. But now that you were “free” again? Hell, it was all different then.

Now, maybe it was also enabled by the alcohol, the music and the mix of anger, sadness and deception that had been bottling up in you. But, you could tell that something was different.

“Hey,” you saw Pietro mouth and so, you leaned in, standing on your tippy toes. His breath felt warm on your ear and for a second, you felt your knees give you up. “He’s looking at us. Brother doesn’t seem to pleased.”

You could tell that Pietro was having fun with it but didn’t take it too seriously. You’d witness every time he’d show a new girl around the tower or cancel your team plans to meet one. Everyone knew that Pietro was living the single life to the fullest and hence that you were probably one among others. But, for once, you didn’t hang onto that miserable thought.

“Oh,” you breathed in — almost — fake exasperation, “Let him.” Wrapping your arms around his neck, you brought him closer to you.

Pietro looked surprised at first, then amused, and then simply content. It also felt as if he relaxed under your touch. As if being around you on this very night was different for him as well. But, you didn’t pay it much attention either.

“It’s getting too hot in here, I think I want to get some air and thistime, I really mean it,” you managed to say between breaths. Seems like partying can be exhausting when done with Pietro. “Trust me?” you heard him ask as he grabbed your hand firmly and nodded almost immediately.

“There.”

Looking around, you made up that you were now both standing on the only empty spot of the Stark terrace, above New York. The view was breathtaking as always but Pietro’s blue eyes reflecting the city lights was even more.

The flirting went on, Pietro was making a few jokes and you’d laugh shamelessly. “I prefer to see you like that.”

“Like what?”

“Happier.”

“I was.”

“Didn’t seem so lately.”

Now, it hit you. You were mourning a relationship that had actually — theoretically — ended weeks ago. You bit the inside of your cheek as you realised all of this and shook your head in disbelief. Pietro, on the other hand, was looking for your eyes as as a smile started to form on his lips.

“You’re right.”

“It feels good when you admit it.”

“Please, don’t get too cocky.”

“I’d never.”

Your exchanges were getting shorter and shorter as tension started to build. Even though the music was inside, it was still pounding in your chest and blame it on that or your surroundings which made you loose track of everything but it all happened so fast. Now, what surprised you was how quickly he caught up. He didn’t brush you off or stopped you. Instead, he kissed you back and even smiled into the kiss. It all felt so relieving. To the point that it didn’t feel like faking anything anymore.

Before joining the Avengers, he was a pa-ra-res-cue man in the Air Force," he sounded out his words, "and at home, he takes care of me and my sisters and Mama– and he's the best dad ever." Hearing this little presentation for the first time, Sam couldn't help but gulp down a batch of tears, his heart swelling warmly with pride. "When I grow up, I wanna be just like him: smart, kind, and always ready to help others."

At the conclusion of the speech, the class erupted in cheers. A round of praise could be heard through the room as the pair earned a standing ovation, "Wow, Sam's awesome!" "I wanna join the Air Force too!" "I wish my dad was a superhero!"

Marvel characters as customers at my coffeeshop:

Basically been on my mind and so here are my thoughts. Obviously note these are my opinions. Typing this on my phone so excuse any mistakes.

Steve and Bucky: they both get drip coffee with cream and sugar. Since cream and sugar were rationed when they grew up its a treat that they get to have every morning. They tip and it took a while for them to figure out the whole credit card thing. They always say good morning and thank you. Overall a good customer and welcome regulars.

Sam: this man is the perfect customer. He likes to get the special or whatever the barista recommends. However if it's busy he will get a drip coffee since it takes less work. He always tips. Always calls you by your name. Asks how your day is going. Compliments your music or outfit. Best customer out there and favorite regular by far. Oh he also always offers to pay for his friends. He might even pay for the person behind him. Literally makes your day as soon as he enters the shop.

Natasha: never gets the same thing since she's a spy and is trained not to have a routine. Knew your name the first day without asking for it. It took you a moment to realize this. Cash only. Will tip and once stole the wallet of a man who refused to tip. A mysterious 100$ appeared in the tip jar.

Clint: like natasha he doesn't have a regular. Will use your name and asks how you are. The creepy guy who hit on you never showed up after you informed Clint it in passing once. Sometimes orders pastries to bring home.

Tony: a busy man who gets the largest cold brew. Doesn't really talk. It's more of a nod, you ring him up, he pays, and leaves. He's usually on his phone. Would be annoying but he tips well and if someone new is there he introduces himself and what he orders. He's a regular you can count on to be polite and simple.

Bruce: shows up Monday morning at opening for a cup of coffee and to order a bag of beans. He makes himself coffee at home for the rest of the week. Super polite and honestly a great first customer for the start of the shift. However if you're a minute late he will mention it.

Thor: so excited to try everything and also wants to learn about it. Asks the difference between espresso and drip. Has tried everything and keeps note of what he likes and doesn't like. Also likes to order for his friends. A lively customer who is a great tester for your new specials. Sometimes too much energy for when you are having a bad day. But he often noticedls this and buys you a pastry in hopes it makes you feel better.

Loki: the type to order a pourover and peer over the counter to make sure you get it right. Will have you remake a drink if it does not satisfy him. Great taste but terrible customer. Oh also offended at how little money baristas are paid and makes a point to tip really well. He mentions how even the servents of asgard get paid more and better benefits. Also has stolen from customers who don't tip. The only reason he's not banned from the shop is because the tip jar is filled each time he comes in. Sometimes even with random things like jewelry or magical objects.

Peter Parker: doesn't take too much caffeine. Gets a tea or lemonade. Sometimes food. Usually comes after school with friends to study. Apologizes about being too rowdy but honestly they aren't too bad. Aks you a bunch of questions and shares cool facts. Always cleans up and tucks in the chairs afterwards. Personally I would love him and would sneak him a bunch of treats and discounts.

Well getting together with Agent Ross was the last thing Bucky could have predicted. The man was furious when he and the others discovered you two had a night of passion. “No, I’m not jealous,” he tightened his jaw. “And you know that. But what if things go wrong with you two? He’s our fucking superior.”

“Bucky,” You teased with a laugh. “Everett and I are two grown ass adults who are very capable of not letting pleasure come between business,” You paused to bit your lip, mischief in your eyes. “But don’t hold me to that, because honestly whenever he walks into a room that man gets my mouth watering—.”

Bucky groans again, pushing off the wall to exit the room. “I’m leaving—I can’t listen to this.” You shook your head with a sigh, just in time for your phone to buzz.

‘Dinner tonight? Around 7 at Giorgio’s?’ The message read causing a smirk to make it’s way on your lips. ‘Meet you there, silver-fox😘’

Sam Wilson

When the new broke to Sam, he was……concerned. Like Bucky he wasn’t too pleased with the idea of you and Ross being together. He was shocked when he find out y’all slept together, but then again there was some sexual tension between the two of you that it was bound to happen.

“You sure you know what you’re doing?” He asked, watching Ross walk away after giving you a kiss on the cheek following a meeting you all had.

“I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have eyes on him since we first met, Cap,” you smiled, openly checking your man out as he departed. “It’s kinda sexy when you think about it. CIA Agent and the criminal. I think we’ll be a better love story than Twilight.”

Sam rolls his eyes, “You know, you really know how to surprise me, L/n. But as long as you’re happy and it doesn’t compromise this team, then have a blast.”

You turn to the Avenger, beaming with grin and pat his chest. “Thanks, boss man. Now if you’ll excuse me, it is now my duty to send my hunk of a partner some racy texts to get him flustered at his next meeting.”

Helmut Zemo

Zemo was surprised, but he really didn’t care who you dated. Admittedly, he wasn’t impressed with your choice due to the fact Ross was the one who detained him after the whole Siberia situation thanks to T’Challa. But given you were Zemo’s favorite of the little team you have and closest thing he’d call a best friend, he respected whatever you did.

“You know when I said to kiss up to the boss, I didn’t actually mean to kiss him, Y/n.”

You sighed, popping open a bottle of beer with your teeth, “Don’t act like you wouldn’t do the same, Z. You’re just mad I got to him first.”

The man scoffed, taking the bottle from you as you handed it to him before repeated the process on another for yourself. “Well, let us cheers to your newfound romance. May he treat you with dignity and respect, and not be the one to have to arrest you.” You two clinked glasses before bringing them to your mouths.

“You know, Z,” you smirked, “I think Maria Hill is single. I can see if Ev is willing to—.”

“Don’t even think about it.”

Bonus: Everett Ross

When you strutted into Everett’s office ignoring the many agents telling you to wait in the lobby, you couldn’t help but smirk at the expression he was giving you. Though it may have looked like he was glaring, you could see the amusement behind his eyes. You simply perched yourself on the corner of his desk and started down at him.

“I thought we both agreed we’d keep things on the low,” he said, bringing his hand up to scratch at his chin.

You tilted your head, raising a brow as you replied, “and I thought we agreed on letting our one night be a secret, but look how that turned out.” Everett leans back in his chair, biting his lip to hide the smile.

“I take it everyone knows?” When you nod he adds, “how did they take it?”

You hop off the desk before settling down in his lap, the action surprising him. You smirked again at the redness on his cheeks. “Bucky hated it of course, but he’ll get over it. Sam was concerned, but he trusts us. And Zemo doesn’t give a shit.” Everett gives a sigh, blushing more as you let your fingers trail up his tie.

“Don’t worry, silver-fox,” you say, tugging his tie so his face was pulled closer to you. “You and I are mature—don’t give me that look,” you say when his brows raise at your choice of words, “You know how I feel about you and about this team. Just try not to make it so obvious I’m your favorite, okay?”

Everett let’s out a laugh making you grin. He shakes his head before slowly leaning in to lock your lips, but not before saying, “You’re going to be the death of me, L/n.”

Bucky and Sam’s Christmas

Sam begged Bucky since Halloween to come down to Sarah’s for Christmas

December 20th he pulls up looking like santa clause with a big sack of stuff

Cap Quartet and the MLP Ponies I think they'd like

Steve - Fluttershy enjoyer obvs. He'd love her abilities with animals, and though she's shy she stands up for her friends. He'd "Shes just like me fr" her. And Pinkie Pie, I think he'd think she's funny and would like the episodes that feature her family.

Nat - Rainbow Dash all the way. She'd kin her. She'd relate to Rainbow Dash's attitude and physical abilities. Also, Rainbow Dash is really cool. She'd love her. I think her second favorite would be Rarity. She's so dramatic and i think Nat would love her sarcastic humor and dynamics with the other main 6.

Sam - Rainbow Dash, she's the fastest and he would claim her because he can fly really fast and she can fly really fast (he and Nat fight about who the TRUE Rainbow Dash lover is.) I also think he'd like Apple Jack, for her personality and the way she supports her family with the farm.

Bucky - I think he would also be a Rainbow Dash fan but not as hardcore as Sam and Nat. I think he'd mostly like her for the "ommmgggg Steve look, they are just like usssss ommgg" factor of Rainbow dash and Flutter shy. I think another one of his favorites would be Twilight Sparkle, because she becomes an Alicorn and he thinks that's cool, and she's really smart and really loves her friends.

Favorite Episodes

Steve - A Canterlot Wedding Part 1 and 2, he likes Chrysalis as a villian and thought the music was really good. (He also really likes Princess Cadence.) And Swarm of the Century because the little creatures that eat everything are hilarious to him.

Natasha - Friendship is Magic Part 1 and 2, because of how the dynamics of the girls are. She likes Nightmare Moons character design too.

Sam - it's a tie between Applebuck Season and The Return of Harmony part 1 and 2, he likes Discords character and thought the way they turned him to stone was badass.

Bucky - The Cutie Mark Chronicles because of all the backstory and "Awwww Steve, they are just like us omgggg" about Rainbow Dash and Fluttershys story. He also really likes that Rainbow Dashes Sonic Boom inspiring all the girls is cool.
