oh there were MULTIPLE

the whole fic was inspired bc of the “i loathe you!” “i loathed you first!” water fountain exchange between chris pine and anne hathaway. i was like oh this is big sambucky “i hate you” vibes with the “you annoy me but i actually am pretty into you” thing

that scene didn’t end up getting written that way tho bc by that point they were already past the point of no return agdjshaj, but that was the starting blossom of the fic

i also really wanted to write sam and bucky hiding away in the storage closet and getting caught (but with more sex than in the original movie) and that one did happen! so that was also pretty high up on my list, along with the *shows you how to shoot a bow but in VERY close quarters* (w a twist, ofc, bc there’s no way sam’s that incompetent with a bow) and also i’d known kind of from the beginning i wanted peggy as the queen clarisse figure and nat as joe so i was excited for a peggynat pining dance as well!!

but yeah the main one was the “i loathe you!” “i loathed you first!” which didn’t even really get written into the story that way (even if parts of that scene are still there) agjshxjaka

19. What’s one pairing you want to explore next year?

i feel like i'm very much a creature of habit and i also already have so many sambucky wips that that's gonna be like 95% of my writing ajsdkfha BUT i do want to write more sambuckyquin next year!! there's also a nonzero chance what if season 2 might drag me towards some small peggynat drabbles, the new criminal minds makes me want to write something small for garvez, and that i actually get around to my jim-focused aos!spirk 5+1 i've been thinking about for months

does "E rated" count as a category askjfas

in all seriousness, i've written 37 fics this year and 19 of them were E rated, a decent amount of those also being mostly pwp. i've also written 15 aus this year (not counting various sam finds bucky before civil war fics that don't affect canonical plot) (thank you 7/7 days of au week!).* also bucky takes care of sam, even if it's not always listed as a tag, bc sam deserves the love and care and bucky's an acts of service kind of guy

*note: this was just from me going through and haphazardly counting. could definitely be off by one or two
