Dear reader, this.
Tumblr media
This is why I need to actually reblog things more often with searchable tags because it is absolute hell to try to find something that I saved for later but was too lazy to tag right then and there so thus saved it as a draft.

“Triangles are the strongest shape there is. Any weight placed on them is evenly distributed on all 3 sides. They represent geometric sturdiness; no matter how much weight you put on any side, it will not break.” With this science fact in mind,
let’s talk about ObiAniDala
(a ship manifesto brought to you by the joined forces of my silly brain and my much smarter besties at the discord server)
Also known as “Prequel Trio”, this is the triad ship for Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala (Naberrie), our main protagonist characters of the Star Wars prequel films (Episode I, II and III) as well as the subsequent shows, comics, and novels.
Most of the basis for this ship is centered around their interactions and established dynamics within the films canon more than any other piece of media but fans do not neglect the rest, as it also expands on their relationship. It also presents, as most polyam-oriented ships, a solution to fandom phenomenon known as shipping wars, in this instance mostly between the Obikin (Obi-Wan/Anakin) and Anidala (Anakin/Padmé) fans.
Obianidala is, as of January 2023, the second most written trio relationship in the Star Wars fandom on Archive of Our Own, with 536 works on their tag. Theyre only topped by the sequels trio, Poe/Finn/Rey, who have over one thousand works.
Their nature of being the protagonist characters in two of the three films of the prequel trilogy is enough to warrant some people would’ve shipped them, but the special interest fans have in them has to do with the fact that they are intrinsically connected, even if only by proximity (in Obi-Wan and Padmé’s case). Anakin is the protagonist -turned antagonist-; Padmé is his love interest; Obi-Wan is his mentor/brother/best friend figure. Each of them have a loud presence in each other’s lives and thus, the importance of the others in each of their stories is pivotal.
What’s established in canon?
While I’m not a firm believer that we, as a society, should be bound by the shackles of canon, I also understand sometimes knowing you’re not picturing things in your head feels very vindicating. It’s good to know creators are onto something you’re digging with your little fan goggles. And Obianidala is no exception to that.
As I mentioned above, they’re all connected. Narratively speaking, Obi-Wan and Padmé pose two opposing forces for Anakin, even though some fans even see them as foils of each other (as they do with Obi-Wan and Anakin as well); yet it is evidently clear that he loves them both deeply and strongly, equally. They are the most important people in Anakin’s life.
In fact, Anakin’s personal view of Padmé and Obi-Wan as opposing roads for him to take and the amount of love he feels for them is something that contributes to his falling to the dark side, aided by Sidious latching on his weakness and exploiting this internal turmoil he has.
From Matthew Stover’s Revenge of the Sith novelization:
Tumblr media
Now, this quote infuriates me for several reasons but mostly because people see it as an ‘end it all’ to arguments of how much more Anakin loved one or the other. Personally, I see it as Palpatine pushing Anakin to his already preconceived idea that he had to give one up (and a perfect showcase of his reluctance to do so, too). Anakin ultimately had to make a choice, yes, but saying he loved one more than the other based on that is very debatable.
Throughout the films it is established that Anakin gravitates around them both, but the novels take a very special dive into this, often highlighting how Anakin’s mind seems to have Padmé and Obi-Wan as a single unit:
Tumblr media
(From the RoTS novelization)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Both from Wild Space by Karen Miller)
(I’m personally insane about that last one because sure, that’s a TOTALLY normal thing to think about. ‘I wish me and MY WIFE would make my BEST FRIEND be less alone’. Anakin Skywalker, I know what you are)
As for Obi-Wan and Padmé, the same thing goes, albeit in a more reserved and collected way – as it is their nature. While Anakin is constantly struggling with how much he loves the both of them and how he suffers because he eventually will have to make a choice, Obi-Wan and Padmé are at peace with their affection/love for Anakin AND the presence of the other in his/their lives.
In fact, they also care and deeply trust each other as well.
Padmé is the one who decides to go to Obi-Wan’s rescue in Attack of the Clones, and she also suggests they could trust him to help them with the whole pregnancy ordeal.
Then, there’s also this from the RoTS novelization:
Tumblr media
Which even goes on to suggest Padmé might’ve even trust Obi-Wan more than she did Anakin.
She accepts, willfully and unreservedly that they both love Anakin and therefore will always be present in each other’s life. And she spares some affection, warmth, and yes, perhaps even some love for him, too:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Obi-Wan, the super-ego character of the trio, also cares for them very deeply, even past his otherwise private and reserved nature. It’s established in an episode of Clone Wars (7x02) - as well as a deleted scene from RoTS- that Obi-Wan is aware that Anakin has a relationship with Padmé and has been for quite some time yet he never tells the Council about it and he only ever tries once to talk to Anakin about it, trying to remind him that attachments are forbidden for the Jedi. Yet, Obi-Wan doesn’t press on this because he himself is attached and Anakin’s happiness is more important to him than Jedi rules. (Ok, maybe I’m interpreting it but, it’s true, I’ll show you).
Snippet from the RoTS novelization because the screenshot was gonna be too big:
"Senator-Padme. Please." He gazed into her eyes with nothing on his face but compassion and fatigued anxiety. "I am not blind, Padme. Though I have tried to be, for Anakin's sake. And for yours." "What do you mean?" "Neither of you is very good at hiding feelings, either." "Obi-Wan-" "Anakin has loved you since the day you met, in that horrible junk shop on Tatooine. He's never even tried to hide it, though we do not speak of it. We... pretend that I don't know. And I was happy to, because it made him happy. You made him happy when nothing else ever truly could." He sighed, his brows drawing together. "And you, Padme, skilled as you are on the Senate floor, cannot hide the light that comes to your eyes when anyone so much as mentions his name."
From Star Wars: From a Certain Point of View:
Tumblr media
What I find interesting in this quote is the fact that Padmé is paired with Obi-Wan’s canonical love interest and the other two characters Obi-Wan has a more canonically familial bond with. So, yes, I do have the receips when I say Obi-Wan loved Padmé as well as he did Anakin.
This is from the RoTS screenplay, and it’s also RoTS canon, it just didn’t make it into the final cut but it’s very important to point it out because while here it’s explicitly said, in the film it’s implied, so it still counts:
Tumblr media
“I know you both too well” // “We’re all friends, I care about both of you”... Obi-Wan Kenobi, I SEE you. And so does Padmé:
Tumblr media
(I’m adding this one simply because it’s very inch-resting to me that both Anakin and Padmé seem to be very concerned with Obi-Wan’s loneliness... THAT’s suspicious)
Even going to present content, the Obi-Wan Kenobi show very clearly establishes that Obi-Wan is mourning both Anakin and Padmé as they were the closest people to him in their last days.
He sees Padmé in Leia (”Nothing, you just reminded me of someone” -1x02- “When I look at Luma, all I see is her mother’s face” -1x03-) and he finds a new life purpose in looking after Luke simply because he’s Anakin’s son (”To keep watch over Anakin's son-" Obi-Wan sighed, finally allowing his face to register a suggestion of his old gentle smile. "I can't imagine a better way to spend the rest of my life." -RoTS novelization-).
It’s also very evident how much he loved and how high he regarded Padmé and Anakin when he’s listing the qualities of them that he finds in Leia:
Tumblr media
“Both were exceptional people who bore an exceptional daughter.” (From Obi-Wan Kenobi (TV series) – 1×06)
What about them from a meta point of view?
Now that we talked briefly (and I do say briefly because I could’ve gone even deeper with the canon stuff), let’s dive into this ship from a meta lens. What’s the REAL juice in this one true threesome?
Well, we talked about this in the Obianidala discord server a few days ago, prompted by me asking why they shipped the trio, mostly because I couldn’t believe no one had written a ship manifesto yet, and as acting CEO of this OT3 I felt it needed to be done.
Here’s the masterpost of all their valid and incredible answers:
Pluto: Poly. I’m biased bc im poly, but like, I love poly ships
Saathi (@saathi1013): The balance among the three of them! How each pairing has its own dynamic but the whole is so much more than the sum of its parts! It's because it feels like any of the other pairings are incomplete and/or unstable comparatively? They're def enjoyable and I throw no shade to ardent supporters of the sub-pairings, but in MY head:
-Padme/Anakin are the impetuousness of youth, passionate but not grounded;
-Anakin/Obi-Wan carries the tension Anakin feels about the Order (and the War), lacking the outside perspective Padme brings;
and any way I slice it, Padme/Obi-Wan are either clinging together out of grief post ROTS or I have to mentally rewrite AOTC so she & Obi-Wan get together instead of Padme/Anakin, which might either precipitate Anakin's fall OR they end up like Obi/Satine so however I slice it, it's kind of heartbreaking.
Bere (@bereweillschmidt): Because they complement each other and are a perfect balance in their relationships. Both O and P are perfect pillars for Anakin. Also they’re all beautiful af
Ash (@cypanache): Okay so I’m coming at this from the perspective of an obidala shipper first but here’s my view on them.
Both Obi-Wan and Padme’s relationship with Anakin is flawed and doomed to fail on its own. Not just for the fact that the act of trying to love both of them separately tears Anakin apart because he simply doesn’t know how to love in moderation and the resulting sense of being forced to choose us what contributes to his descent. But also for the fact each only speaks to one half of Anakin and it’s weakness is the other relationships strength
For Obi-Wan his ability to set boundaries to hold Anakin to a standard of expected behavior Padme has never been able to maintain.
For Padme her ability to make Anakin feel unconditionally loved in a way Obi-Wan has never been able to get him to believe
At the same time I truly believe Obi-Wan and Padme’s relationship that love is the missing piece of what they all need. And the lack of it is why they all fall apart
Obi-Wan’s respect for Padme and his willingness to challenge her is what would give her the strength to hold her own in a relationship with Anakin without losing her sense of self
Padme’s caring.  Her compassion and heart and her passion is what would pull Obi-Wan out of his rigid ‘perfect Jedi’ persona and allow him to feel free to love and be loved he couldn’t do with just Anakin alone because of their history and the tempestuous nature of their relationship.
You need all three pieces for them to work.
Loki (@chaoticdumbassrogue): Polyamory for the win
Jeka (@darlingamidala): There are countless reasons why I ship these three characters together. I don’t feel like I need to go into the reasons anidala, obikin, and obidala are all fantastic pairings on their own, and it goes without saying that they all have chemistry with each other. So instead, I’ll focus on why I love them so much more as a polyamorous triad.
A large part of it is the way they balance and complement each other. Any two of them have the potential to bring out the worst in a each other, but when you put the three of them together, they bring out the best in each other. They balance each other in ways that allow their relationship as a triad to be greater than the sum of its parts.
Anakin and Padme are rather hopeless romantics, and they can get swept up in their relationship to the point where it almost becomes an escapist fantasy. Obi-wan is more practical and pragmatic, he keeps them grounded in reality, which is important for maintaining a healthy relationship in the long term.
Anakin and Obi-wan have such a complicated relationship, where they know each other on an incredibly intimate level and yet also struggle to see eye to eye. And Padme I think understands them both where they fail to understand each other. She helps them fill that gap and communicate their feelings when they don’t know how.
Padme and Obi-wan are deeply dedicated to their duties and responsibilities, often to the detriment of their personal lives. Both of them would feel like pursuing a romantic relationship would be a neglect of their duties. But Anakin is passionate and stubborn and devoted, and he pushes them not to neglect their own happiness.
There’s so much history between the three of them, their fates are woven together from beginning to end. They’ve been through a lot together, and they care about each other so much. They trust each other so much, and they love each other so much. Even when everything falls apart in Revenge of the Sith, and they’ve all broken each other’s hearts and can no longer trust one another, there is still a deep love between the three of them that can never be broken.
Jui (@nicolos): Like yes balance, and their delicious delicious dynamics, but also I got into OAD first bc I kept getting annoyed at one or other character being fridged or vilified in fics. Which is a fandom answer not a canon one, but it did get me thinking about it
Leo (@anakinkshamer):  I ship OAD bc it’s hot, I love polyamory, and the ✨chemistry✨
Vic @//vesper29: 1. Anakin is the chosen one. Very powderful. Fight of the immediate people he loves (padme and obi). 2. Because Obiwan and Padme if you look into their personalities and life purpose, they are cut out of the same paper. And to balance the raw force nature of Anakin, we will need both Obiwan and Padme. One show him way of life (career, life goal); the other love, family.
Joey (@alabama-metal-man): it's all about how they dull each other's harsh edges, and temper their more more bullish traits, while also honing their strengths and hearts, thus creating this incredible balance.
In summary, they balance each other, just like the triangle is meant to spread all stress equally to make up for the strongest of supports. In a perfect world, them together would’ve saved the entire galaxy from a lot of troubles.
So, if you’ve made it this far, I hope we got you at least quirking an eyebrow at the way Anakin stares intensenly into both Padmé and Obi-Wan, or Obi-Wan’s ridiculous use of plurals all the time, or how obvious Padmé is that even Yoda can tell:

Blog Disclaimer & Navigation
Disclaimers: If you would like to discuss how you hate the Jedi, please don't try to do it on this blog. There are plenty of other blogs and Tumblr spaces elsewhere that would serve as an excellent niche for you. Not everyone on the Internet needs to share the same opinions, and that's okay! I'm more likely to block and go about my day than to engage, and you're welcome to do the same if that's how you want to curate your Tumblr experience!
I tend to criticize my faves! The twisted fucked up things they do are the most interesting to me. Doesn't mean I hate them or that they're not my faves. But if you prefer not to do that, that's totally fine! (This also goes for ships.)
Lastly, my lovely bf moderates my inbox for me because I've had issues with rape and death threats on other blogs. If you send asks that are straight up hate, he gets to block you and gets kisses from me as payment for his labor. So save your energy and don't send an ask I'll never see. (Or do. The bf really likes kisses. It won't make a difference to me.)

“Where are you going? It’s not safe out there!” with obidala or obianidala?
Lol I am so sorry it took me over a year to do this one. This takes place during the Clone Wars
Word count : ~1400
Pairing: Obidala
Warnings: None
Tumblr media
The war was raging around them, and Padmé found herself once again being pushed into some hiding place. She was so sick and tired of having to prove that she was perfectly capable of handling herself. For kriff's sake she dealt with the the trade federation when she was 14 and had been handling a blaster ever since. But no, the clones felt obligated to protect her since she was a galactic senator. She appreciated the sentiment, really she did, but her life was not worth more than theirs.
Propping herself up against the rock the clones and pushed her behind, she aimed her blaster at the droids in the coming onslaught. She picked them off one by one, but they just kept coming. The only bonus to droid soldiers was that they didn't get weary in the same way that organic soldiers did. The clones were pushing themselves too hard to hold their position, the only reason they were holding it was because of Padmé. She needed to move. They all did.
"Cover me!" she yelled, waving the clones over as she scrambled out from behind her rock, diving from shelter to shelter as she made her way up the mountainside. If they made it up high enough, they may be able to be extracted. Plus, there was something beneficial about having the high ground. Kenobi had taught her that in a completely unrelated encounter involving bed sheets and dim lights and kriff, this was not the time to be remembering that. Her face burned as she climbed higher, aiming down at the droids.
Her instincts had been correct. The squadron, smaller unfortunately than it was when they started, made it to the top of the mountain and into the path of a troop transport. The troopers on the transport provided them with enough cover to get on and away they were, zooming over the battlefield.
Padmé had a sick feeling in her stomach. She'd been too late to stop this. She'd been sent on a diplomatic mission to turn the neutral world towards the Republic, but the Separatists were there. Count Dooku in all his fake chivalry and probably with some Jedi mind tricks as well. Padmé hadn't stood a chance, barely making it out of the Duke's palace before Dooku could have her captured.
The transport rumbled, taking a direct hit. Padmé lost her footing and her hold on the rope. She found herself falling once again out of a transport. Honestly she was hoping she'd have better luck than this now with the war raging into the second year. But no, the trees below were getting closer and closer with each moment that passed. She tried to roll herself into a ball, hoping it'd protect her better, but she knew no matter what she did, the fall was going to hurt. The ground was hurtling towards her and she closed her eyes tight, bracing for impact.
It never came.
"Padmé, what are you doing here?" Obi-Wan asked, using one hand to deflect the droids around him with his blaster, his other outstretched to ease her landing.
"I thought I'd just drop in," she replied, landing on her feet. She immediately sprang into action to help cover him. "Where's the rest of your squad?"
"Solo mission. I was sent to destroy a comms tower to the west."
"No Anakin this time?" she asked, taking out the last droid.
Obi-Wan shrugged. "It wasn't anything I couldn't handle."
Padmé holstered her blaster and reached up to swipe his hair out of his face. "Long time no see."
"The Outer rim's been a mess," he admitted, leaning into her touch. "What are you doing here, though, Darling?"
"Diplomatic mission gone wrong. Dooku was here first," her voice dripped with disgust.
"That explains the heavier droid activity. Come on, they're sure to send more droids when these don't return back. My ships still a day away and without a comms tower I can't have R4 bring it here," Obi-Wan told her, taking her hand and heading further into the forest. "There's a cave not too far from here that we can shelter in for the night."
Padmé held his hand tightly. She knew that all too soon he would be slipping through her grasp once more. It was always like that these days and it killed her.
The way to the cave was rough, which was fine for her since it would mean that the droids probably wouldn't find them. They couldn't start a fire, though, for fear of drawing attention to them. Instead, they huddled together under Obi-Wan's cloak, sharing body heat.
Padmé tugged the cloak tighter around them. "I'm surprised you managed to hold onto this."
"I'm not that bad."
"Obi-Wan, you left two cloaks in my apartments within the same week. I genuinely don't know how they keep giving you new ones." Padmé chuckled, leaning her head on his shoulder.
"Darling, you can be so cruel," he said, but he was smiling down at her. He inhaled the scent of spices in her hair. The scent of her shampoo was faint, but it always calmed him. She always calmed him. He kissed the top of her head. "I missed you."
She tilted her head to kiss his cheek. "The feeling is mutual. When do you come home?"
"Hopefully when this siege is over if a new one isn't started on my way home like last time," he said, shifting her so that she laid on top of him, his arms circled around her.
"I feel like I'm half a heart without you sometimes," Padmé murmured, her finger tracing his chest.
"Darling, you are my heart," he told her. He tipped her chin up, capturing her lips with his.
Padmé melted into him, her arms circling his neck to pull him closer.
And then they heard it.
The sound of tens if not a hundred droid feet marching outside the cave. Padmé was up in a moment, creeping towards the edge of the cave. Obi-Wan grabbed her arm to stop her.
"Where are you going? Darling, it’s not safe out there!” he said, trying to push her behind him. "I'll go."
"Obi-Wan, if one of us goes out there and gets caught then they'll just check the cave and find the other so we might as well go together," Padmé reasoned, holding his hand.
He sighed, giving in. "Fine, but I don't like it."
They crept silently along the wall of the cave until they could look down at the droids below. They were setting up a base. Obi-Wan grimaced. They wouldn't be able to escape once they had a full base set up. Hopefully they would be too distracted with setting up to notice them. He squeezed Padmé's hand and nodded to the other side. It was slow going, trying not to knock loose any stray rocks or attract any unwanted attention. They circled to the other side of the rocky hill before beginning their descent. Obi-Wan landed silently and gestured for Padmé to jump, catching her in his arms. They were still a ways off from his ship, and his comms weren't working. But they decided they didn't have time to stop for the night and just pushed through.
It wasn't until the early morning rays of sun were creeping higher in the sky that they saw Obi-Wan's ship. He was able to use his ship to call for a pick up for Padmé.
Padmé sighed, hearing the ship in the distance coming towards them. She gripped Obi-Wan by his cloak and pulled him in for a kiss. He kissed her back, putting into that kiss everything they couldn't say. It was longing, it was passion, it was love. It was a promise to return to each other safely.
Padmé pulled away first, her hands still in his. The ship came into view above them in the clearing. Padmé dropped his hands.
"Darling," Obi-Wan murmured.
"I know," she told him, taking a step back as the other ship landed.
"Senator! Glad to see that you're okay," Commander Cody told her. He nodded to Obi-Wan. "General."
"Commander, escort the Senator back to her ship and ensure she gets into hyperspace safely," Obi-Wan ordered.
"May the force be with you, Master Kenobi," Padmé told him, stepping onto the ship.
"And always with you, Senator Amidala."
He watched her ship for as long as he dared before getting in his own ship and returning to battle.

WIP Wednesday - Obianidala
For today's WIP Wednesday, I'm holding myself accountable in that I still owe the last day of the wonderful Obianidala Week event hosted earlier this year! I have half the chapter done already, I just need to get around to finishing the rest! So, to put a little pressure on myself AND to bring some pleasure to ya'll Obianidalas <3 Have a short preview! The last day was a free space and I picked the theme of "United" <3
Cast out from the library, but with plenty of time still to kill until The Evening, Anakin wandered the Temple like a gleeful spectre, creeping out Younglings and Masters alike with the ever present grin he could not seem to wipe off his face.
Tonight was going to be the best night of his life so far, of that he was sure. It had been a long time in the making and when he had first come to terms with the fact, that he felt the same love and desire for his former Master as he did for his gorgeous, beautiful, perfect wife, he had nearly spiraled out of control in panic, certain that he was about to lose everything.
For months, he had carried the burden of wanting, needing Obi-Wan in a way he could barely comprehend, while almost caving under the weight of the guilt he felt towards Padmé. He had shut himself away from both of them, hoping against all odds that the feelings would simply dissipate.
They did not. In fact, they only got stronger, desire fanning into a sense of lust that nearly burned him alive.
Then, on a lovely, balmy summer night, after he had just returned from a month-long deployment and was yearning for nothing more than his wife's arms (and his Master's, too), Padmé had simply asked. Or rather, stated.
"You are in love with Obi-Wan."
Anakin shivered, as he remembered that moment, the sheer terror he had felt, every muscle tensing up with anticipation for the inevitable fallout.
Padmé had simply smiled at him, carded a hand through his hair and said the unthinkable.
"Then you should tell him so."
Anakin remembered that moment just as well. He had gaped at her like a Fingerlip Garpon, forgotten how to breathe for several seconds even. Even when she had proceeded to reassure him that she saw no great issue in him loving two people equally and informing him that such arrangements were not uncommon on Naboo, he had thought he was dreaming, or worse, dying.
Padmé's approval, encouragement even, had been one thing. Actually going through with it and confessing his feelings to Obi-Wan had been quite another. It had taken him two more month and a near-death experience to finally blurt out the words and, in a moment of absolute panic, go so far as to simply kiss his Master.
Anakin remembered that moment just as well, the seconds ticking by as he danced on a knife's edge of elation and fear, while Obi-Wan's perfect, warm, soft lips remained still under his own.
For a moment, he had been absolutely certain that he had ruined everything, after all, when suddenly, he had been pulled forward by the hips, a large, calloused hand encircling his neck, as Obi-Wan had proceed to kiss him senseless.
They had had a long, thorough conversation about a lot of things after that, about feelings and arrangements and expectations and boundaries and it had left Anakin reeling a bit with the sheer enormity of it all.
The most terrifying moment, however, had been when Anakin had confessed about his marriage, to which Obi-Wan had only raised one perfect eyebrow and said, in the dryest tone imaginable: "You don't say."
Since then, Anakin's life had been pretty much perfect. He was still married to the most amazing woman in the galaxy, while also getting to be with his incredible Master and for a while he had been content with dividing his time between his two lovers.
Then, a week ago, Padmé had planted an idea in his head, dangling the possibility of a new arrangement in front of him, that would involve all three of them. Obi-Wan had, to Anakin's great surprise and relief, agreed quite readily.
They had decided on having dinner at Padmé's apartement first and then see where the evening would lead them. Anakin certainly hoped it would lead them to a large, comfortable bed and as little clothing as possible.
Oh, he was SO ready for the evening to arrive.

Note
watching all your obianidala content has made me have the biggest idea.
obianidala omegaverse with omega obi and padme and alpha anakin, padme is pregnant and so is obi, the only difference is that padme is several months ahead and no one knows of obi wan's pregnancy except himself.
palpatine causes an accident that causes padme to get hurt but not die and due to a misunderstanding making everyone think that was obi the one that caused the accident.
So obi runs away, pregnant with twin boys ( cal kestis and ezra bridger, i need them as luke and leia's simblings )
Obi Wan and Padme are both probably the biggest obstacles to Palpatine getting and maintaining control over anakinn. And there's really only two ways to deal with them - either infantalise them to the point in Anakin's head where he stops listening to them and effectively cages them n oder to 'protect' them or remove them from the equation through death or turning Anakin against them.
I do think he starts with planning to kill them both annd then falls back on others when that doesn't work.
So Padme was supposed to die and Palpatine probalby planned for Anakin to kill Obi Wan in response to that. So the piecse are already in place for it to look like Obi Wan is the cause.
So when Padme's only severely injured not killed Palpatine goes to Plan B of getting Anakin protective of her past the point of listening to her. He still probably planned on getting Anakin to kill Obi Wan but Obi wan flees before he ets the chance for Anakin to really think of anything other than getting Padme (and the babies in her) safe and stable.
Honestly though two sets of twins born at a very similar time would have been A Lot for them, even with three parents involved. Which, I mean, one set of twins is going to be A Lot for Obi Wan to handle by himself. Especially a set of force-sensative twisn (whcih is the same even in verses where he raises Luke and Leia by himself).
I wonder where Obi Wan would go. They're still Anakin's kids he's carrying so he could go to Tatooine and the Lars. But he also has other connections and honestly I like the idea of the boys getting their surnames because of the people Obi Wan turned to for support (Bridger possibly being a reference to Brigadier - a military rank). So maybe he doesn't go to Tatooine or maybe he does but brings with him some people who don't believe he would harm Padme and are petty sure this is all a frame up.

the same anon (I’m just going to nestle in an obscure corner of your blog and stay there), currently foaming at the mouth over wedding planner obi-wan
if poly, a very confused (and unfortunately flustered) obi-wan dealing with having the bride AND grooms undivided attention on him. and he’s just sweating a little bc maybe they’re just v strict with what they want for their wedding. but he’s rly starting to wonder why they keep asking his extensive opinions on everything and taking his likes into consideration for their wedding…….
meanwhile anakin & padme are absolutely twenty steps ahead of themselves and fantasizing about the perfect three-way wedding and stowing every little detail obi-wan says about himself + his likes + his opinions into a tight mental lockbox bc they rly don’t want to forget a single thing
aha I got ahead of myself, sorry for the long ask that just ended up being my lengthy hc add-ons to ur idea :salutes: (I rly said focusing on just the poly vs my normal obikin hyperfixation)
anon don't apologize for anything, i am kissing you on the mouth i love all of this
when it comes to obianidala i am of the opinion that padme and anakin are always ridiculously, stupidly obsessed with obi-wan, we all know what they're like with each other and they both get wilder with him in the mix. obi-wan isn't stupid, he knows what he looks like and he knows what can happen with the charisma he uses in his line of work. he's used to one half of the couple getting a bit of a crush on him, usually to the displeasure of the other, though he's been very determined to not be the cause of any called-off engagements. but he's not prepared for a double-attack from anidala. by their third meeting padme is somehow flirting with obi-wan in some thinly-veiled discussion about, i don't know, flowers or tablecloth fabric or something, meanwhile anakin right beside seems entirely unfazed at this and is staring at obi-wan with all the warmth and intensity of a sun (he's trying to estimate obi-wan's ring size and is just getting lost just appreciating his hands instead).
and it gets worse from there. obi-wan is very bewildered by the attention from this very enthusiastic couple, but he just thinks they trust his judgment a lot. they're certainly wonderful to be around and he would be lying if he didn't consider them both extremely attractive. but clients are always and should be out of bounds for him, so he resigns himself to planning them the best goddamn wedding they want so they can be happy. he doesn't understand why they keep changing details about it according to his own personal tastes, or why they like meeting him in casual locations so spending time with them doesn't feel like work at all and more like, well, everyday life.
on anidala's end they're already reformatting the wedding invitations to include obi-wan's name and wondering if they can change to a bigger venue so that they have room for anyone he wants to be there. by the time either of them actually remembers to ask obi-wan if he wants in on their relationship, padme's consulting with home renovators to figure out how to reconfigure her lake house so obi-wan can have the library he's mentioned wanting. it's like two or three weeks before the date when anakin forgets that they didn't ask obi-wan, actually, and when he greets the man with a kiss before saying hello at their next meet-up it seems there's a lot of things they need to clear up. padme walks in a minute later with a list of questions for obi-wan about their combined ceremony and he nearly falls over. that conversation takes up the rest of the afternoon.
(reader, they all marry one another.)

I've never actually written star wars fic to completion, but I've been tempted to try again with an idea I've had for years, I know i have basically no followers because this blog hasn't been active in a decade but if anyone sees this and likes it some support would make my day ♥️♥️♥️
note: this AU of basically, the war is over, obi-wan and anakin saved each other, ahsoka and rex and cody are still their family basically lives in my head rent-free. Sometimes the variation of anidala have nothing in common and their relationship dies painfully because actually, there's no way out. Occasionally a bit of obianidala. these are just some ideas for a story from that!
ideas: satine, bail organa and obi-wan and anakin find themselves kidnapped by the same people. Yeah Satine is alive, deal with it. Disgraced former senator Padma Naberrie learns the power of a weapon in her hand when she teams up with Captain Rex and Commander Cody of the former Open Circle Fleet and surprise, their former padawan ahsoka and Bo-Katan, Mand'alor to mount a rescue mission.
Ahsoka being knighted -- some kind of delve into how to be a jedi is to choose the light and the code and one's fellow jedi and not simply accepting any corruption the jedi council gives. She is a Jedi in every single way that counts. She echoes her masters. Drifts through the galaxy, has a fling with a pilot, ends back on Coruscant. Goes to the Jedi Council because she has noöne else, noöne other than Anakin and Obi-Wan,
She helps care for younglings for a time, hardly sees her masters busy with clean-up. Begs the council for the chance to do something when she can feel their hurt and danger
Palpatine was defeated, in hiding. He turns into some kind of ... something??? Like in the sequel trilogy, doesn't take away the emotional satisfaction nearly as much, just because this is only a few months after the initial confrontation.
What is balance? Star Wars has always pushed this idea of equal parts light and dark. But what about choosing the
Satine: stands before a Mandalore in ruins. She retreats into the shadows, hopeless and indifferent to the galaxy healing and celebrating the end of the war. She gives rule to Bo-Katan, the Mand'alor in possession of the darksaber, her dear sister. She visits her dear friend Padmé Amidala to make sense of the new world order. She is taken by Palpatine because he is angry that Mandalore defied him to the battle's last breath.
Bo-Katan is Mand'alor and Mandalore is more like it was than it has been in a generation, but it is also destroyed. To beg help from the Republic is cowardice, but to let her people suffer is an even bigger cowardice. And then her sister disappears, and for all she hated the New Mandalore, Mandalore cannot lose Duchess Satine.
Obi-Wan and Anakin get sent out on a mission by the council. Everyone can sense some kind of residual darkness in the force, on the planet Mustafar there have been reports of strange happenings. High-profile galactic figures disappearing. They are lured to Mustafar due to Palpatine's interest in studying a force dyad.
Padmé's Queen Jamillia finds out that she is pregnant and carrying on an affair, though she refuses to name the person. She doesn't break it off with Anakin, begs him to wait for her. Both are in shock that it was ultimately her duty that got in the way. Before this, he is having doubts over there being very little to save. She goes to her family palazzo in the Naboo Lake Country to rest and recover and heal from her forced abortion and learns who Padma Naberrie is when she isn't Padmé Amidala anymore. Sabé and her handmaidens shocked by the change, see only glimpses of their lady when Satine comes.
Rex and Cody are ... Confused. They were the Open Circle Fleet as much as Obi-Wan and Anakin, who became their dear friends. But they still have the Jedi to give them missions and purpose. They feel caught between the threat of a newly peaceful republic and obsolescence after such a short life and paperwork. They do not want to lie down and die after a taste of life and the possibility that they can choose (Order 66 chips removed alongside some Kaminoan brainwashing), but they sense that duty is something that they would choose in every life. Duty to their generals.
Bail Organa finally understands the power of his wife's throne. He did not become senator from her power, he had worked his way up before they even met, they were not in a relationship when he was sent to Coruscant as their representative in the Galactic Senate. But Breha is adored the galaxy over and Alderaan still has resources of people and money to rebuild the galaxy, one of the only centres of art, culture, literature left after people turn on Naboo, bombing of Mandalore and lower levels of Coruscant sensing power vaccuum on the surface. Bail finds himself at the forefront of the rebuilding effort, his fellow senators are pushing to name him Chancellor. He feels that he cannot possibly accept when he cannot go a minute without comming Padmé or Obi-Wan for help, but Palpatine wants his competition gone.
Naboo unofficially blockaded because of the influence of Palpatine, people are fleeing. They were rich enough that noöne is starving, but they will be poor in a generation, they had mostly trade, very little industry by the time the Clone Wars came around. Kind of like Shattered Empire comic, on a much faster timeframe

idk if this is a prompt or an ask or just a random thought but. i loooooooove the idea of ot3 obianidala confessing their feelings right before obi-wan is called to utapau to fight grievous. idk if they spend the night together, or just stay up and talk, OR even worse promise to talk once obi-wan gets back. but i just love the idea of obi-wan admitting he has romantic feelings for anakin and padme, and them admitting they have romantic feelings for him too, AND about their marriage, and him telling them he knows. all of those emotions in one evening, and they all promise to talk/work it out, and make it work, once obi-wan comes back, but by then it's too late :(
Okay but if we're running with this scenario, why don't we double down on the pain and make it happen right before Obi-Wan goes to Mustafar?
I mean, there was that whole "you love him too, don't you" comment by Padme in the ROTS novelization, which in this context, could easily mean that she knows that Obi-Wan loves him the same way she does. They've been so busy with the war and the Republic and everything else that's going on, and of course Obi-Wan is never going to take the initiative and say anything, and Anakin is still under the blissful delusion that Obi-Wan doesn't actually know about any of this. And of course they're just putting it off and acting like they'll have time when the war ends because of course they'll all be together and in each other's lives forever in some form, and then -- this is after the Temple has been attacked and everything is falling to pieces and there's no more time left and neither Obi-Wan or Padme can reach Anakin or know what's going on, Obi-Wan is desperate to find him and so he goes to Padme and she just hits him dead to rights --
"You love him too, don't you? You do."
Obi-Wan freezes up and doesn't know how to answer. And finally he just nods once, and doesn't look around, and says half to himself --
"And you. And you."
(And then Obi-Wan and Padme go to Mustafar, with this terrible knowledge burning between them both that they've finally told the truth and that it is far, far too late, and they will have to leave their shared heart in utter flames behind them.)

for anyone who was following the series 'Spank the Dark Side out of Anakin Skywalker', i have an announcement:
i am discontinuing the series and reworking it to be a single, long fic. i have been battling with this idea for a while, but have decided to bite the bullet and go for it. it'll be the same content (obianidala, domestic discipline, smut, some kink, clone wars era, etc), but def fleshed out more with some tweaks 😂
thanks for all the support for those stories 🙏 i am not too sure when i'll start releasing it (i need to finish chapter 3 of 'oaths', but that should be done soon!) it is, however, in the outlining stage, using inspo from my original idea for the series
thanks again, y'all!
(and for any questions about my other series, they aren't abandoned, i just am slow to update.)

You're so cute! I am open for suggestions, I don't really have an idea what I want to read.
Just tell me about a story that you want to reread and why and that's probably enough for me to read it too.
I am pretty sure I read all of your stories but I don't mind reading them again for a fourth time.
Okay, I'll give you a mix of some fics I really love and I'll split them up into categories so you can choose based on your mood haha.
Padawan gen fics (a lot are discipline... okay, you know who you're asking, right?):
Truants and Trains by @adaliak and @peachybitters - Sometimes padawans just need to blow off a little steam. But when Obi-Wan Kenobi skips class at the Temple to go into the city with Quinlan Vos, they might end up learning a different type of lesson.
A Mountain Retreat by @peachybitters - Obi-Wan and his young Padawan, Anakin, go to stay with friends in the mountains of Alderaan. Anakin learns to love snow, and finds new ways to get himself into trouble. Mistakes are made and lessons are learned, and a lot of fun is had along the way.
When the Master's Away... by @adaliak (not technically a discipline fic, but it has vibes) - When Obi-Wan goes out, leaving Anakin alone, the mischievous Padawan decides to flaunt all his master's rules. As always with Anakin, disaster ensues.
qui-gon jinn and his two disaster children by @dells-bells - Obi-Wan Kenobi defeated the Sith Lord Darth Maul, an extraordinary and heroic act which earned him promotion from Padawan learner to Jedi Knight. Qui-Gon Jinn survived his near-brush with death, and after much deliberation and some reluctance, the Jedi Council granted him permission to take on the training of the young Anakin Skywalker as his new Padawan learner.
Obikin:
yesterday's jam by @rhymenoceros - “IT, Anakin speaking -”
“It’s Obi-Wan, I’m terribly sorry but the printer seems to have disconnected, I tried doing what you told me -”
Ahsoka picks up the small whiteboard on her desk and writes 0 days since last Kenobi visit as Anakin smiles and says, “Be there in five!”
Needing Attention by DreamingMoonlight - Anakin had asked for this.
Spank the Dark Side out of Anakin Skywalker (obianidala) by @dilfdarthvader - in which anakin (consensually) gets the dark side spanked out of him by his two lovers-- with fluff and angst mixed in
Put My Mind at Ease by @storiesofchaos - in which the war is over in favor of the Republic, and Anakin can't wait to finally get fucked by his Daddy again.
Permanent Ink by @sopherfly - Modern Tattoo/Teacher AU! Teacher Obi-Wan is looking to get a few more tattoos. When he chooses single father Anakin as his artist (or does fate choose for him?), he gets more than he bargained for.
Smoke Me and Never Quit Me by @edge-ofnight - In his last semester at university, Anakin and his professor share and bond over the same bad habit.

Hello there :)
N - Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice)
O - Choose a song at random, which ship or character does it remind you of
N - Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice)
So I'm going to preface this with the disclaimer that I know very little about the Star Wars or even Prequels fandom as a whole. My corner is very small and my experiences are limited to mostly what I see in fic, and tumblr discussions in my tiny little piece of the world. With that said, things I wish I saw more of (beyond just more obidala 'shippers in general).
Messy Obidala -- Look I love healthy couple Obidala. I really do. That soft, so good together + hot vibe they give is absolutely what attracted me to them and what attracts most shippers so its no wonder that its the version which gets written the most. But they are and can be so much more than that. They are complicated, imperfect characters who can be a little too righteous, a little too prideful or privileged. They have proven capable of compromising themselves in the worst ways for both the sake of Anakin and the Republic. And they would more than rip each other to shreds in a fight. I would love to see more writers take them to those places.
More Obidala in my Obianidala. This one feels a little unfair because there's actually quite a number of gorgeous Obianidala fics where their relationship is handled beautifully and in some cases the primary focus. But look I'm greedy. And for every one of those, I feel like there's at least three where their relationship is very much an afterthought or more just an agreement to share Anakin. And since as I mentioned before I very much like my OT3s to all be equally obsessed with each other and they’re the least established in canon … this leaves me wanting more.
Padme Appreciation/Exploration -- Tbf there may be more of this in pockets of fandom that I'm not aware of, but in general I feel like she is criminally underused and underexplored by fandom as a whole. I love how strong and kind and smart she is, but sometimes I think we in the Obidala fandom can become overly focused on those aspects of her character while glossing some of her more complicated parts, almost like we're trying to 'fix' her. By the same token, I adore the badass, sensual, dominant Padme who shows up frequently in Obianidala fic, but it can occasionally tip over into her serving as a mechanism to meet Anakin's needs or soothe Obi-Wan's insecurities without giving her own needs and vulnerabilities equal time. And I'm sorry my queen deserves to be all the things. Powerful and weak. Generous and selfish. Confident and vulnerable. She is fathomless, infinite and contains multitudes.
Note -- I have a whole host of fic recs and blogs and fandom friends which prove me wrong every day on the above, and I love them all for that, but you asked what I want more of and yeah I'm greedy. I want more of all of that.
O - Choose a song at random, which ship or character does it remind you of
This ones a little difficult because I curate my playlists by the fics I'm writing or in some cases the relationship or character I need to write. So 'random' is sort of an illusion the moment I go into any playlist. To counter that at least a little I dumped all my active playlists together and pressed shuffle. Here’s what came up:
This song always makes me think of grieving Obi-Wan forming a connection with Padme for that opening line alone "Yes I understand that every life must end" This song was on my on my Trap playlist for a long time in the section for the Naboo arc and was the song for just after Qui-Gon's death but I swapped it out for 'Flares' which vibes a lot better with the other songs for that arc.
Now it lives on my 'Wires' playlist where it fits with the over all vibe a little better. Wires is my Modern Post-RotS Padme Live style AU where the Jedi are cops and Padme was the ADA before everything came crashing down. It's an older, rougher, version of Padme and Obi-Wan who have a lot of history and a lot of grief and self-loathing and blame to throw around, but also completely need each other in that no one else could possibly understand kind of way. So this fits that vibe rather nicely.

I wouldn't call myself super new fan but I'm just recently more active on SW Tumblr, made this post just in case someone asking my opinion or want to debate me about Star Wars
Just here to ship Obikin, Obianidala, anidala, Obimaul and even Padme x Satine
I'm not gonna involve myself in the whole debate of star wars lore or whatever. If there's one god damn fandom that I'm not messing around with the discourse it's star wars, I can do it on Dragon Age, game of thrones or any other fandom but NOT THIS ONE.
There's one YouTuber called Swell Entertainment and she said "I'm not gonna review any star wars movie ever again because the fans often coming at me." I can feel her fear and dread even from another country
I don't give a damn about Jedi vs sith debate or anything. I'm just here for shipping tbh, if anyone ask my stance I'm like "I dunno man, dark side light side grey side. It's an energy? I don't care maaaan depends on how you use it. Whatever. Prequel Jedi order? Got flaws but can be improved, not irremediable faction ever.
Please don't involve me
The war that I involve myself so far are the mage + elves vs templar + chantry where I'm always be on mages + elves side FOREVER.
Also Divinity Original Sins 2 where I'm pro Source magic, also I'm pro magic, Zaun and pro mage in Arcane/League of Legends
The sith? At least Sith Lords or whatever that we know do a lot of bad stuff but... whatever i don't care. I don't care if you are simping for them or you have a more nuanced take about the sith, sure go for it. I'm cool.
Dark power/energy sexy tbh
But yeah Palpy fascist empire bad, I know that you don't have to accuse me as an 'apologist' just because i don't care about light vs dark
If I'm in star wars universe i just gonna hangout with alien strippers tbh the galaxy can implode for all I care and you guys will found me dead after snu snu-ing a hot Twi'lek
Tumblr media
This is coming from someone who's active in fandom lore and political discourse.
BUT I AIN'T MESSING AROUND WITH STAR WARS OH GOD NO. I'm here for shipping and art. Also don't ask my take about morality in star wars because i think for this universe I'm not the most reliable person for that.
I'm ruled by my obsessive shipping, horny-ness and crazy ass stories ideas.
I mean Dooku down bad with me? Sure. Obi wan? I'm going to kidnap this guy tied him in my basement and marry him. I'm obsessed
Anakin? Sure. Palpatine? He's not that bad looking. Padme? She's a sunshine and out of my league same thing with Satine. Simping for them. I'm not gonna refuse if Yoda down bad
I'm simply unhinged
