My boyfriend works in a sandwich shop and someone asked for “extra extra extra extra cucumbers.” So anyway this is what that looked like

so i work at a sub shop, and we label our meats right? well, stuff usually expires in 3 days so we label it as such. (ex: 5/1-5/3) except the beef. sliced roast beef at my work is only good for 2 days.
some fucking knucklehead labeled the beef:
5/30-5/33
WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE?? THERE IS NO 33rd DAY IN MAY, AND WE BEEN KNEW ABOUT THE BEEF TIME FOR FUCKING YEARS.

To my favorite sandwich shop:
If you don't want to honor the "buy fifteen get one free" sandwich cards, THEN DON'T GIVE OUT THE FUCKING SANDWICH CARDS!
It's not even like I get every 16th sandwich for free, because a lot of the times the cashier will just forget to give me a card (the lady who works the lunch shift is on top of it, but the girls who work the dinner shift are hit or miss), so these 15 cards represent like 20 or 30 sandwiches I paid full price for, something like $300, over the course of seven or eight months of regular patronage! I'm a loyal customer, I tip every single time, so I don't think it's unreasonable for me to cash in FIFTEEN cards for ONE free sandwich ONCE A YEAR! If that fucks up your inventory, or somehow messes with your register till, then you're bad at running a business! That's not my fault.
There's no expiration date on the cards and I was given the 15th last week, so this is clearly still a thing you're doing! The promotion isn't over, so why are you giving me shit for it?
Don't advertise a sale and then get pissed off when someone tries to get in on it!
Most places like this have buy-10-get-1 offers, so buy-15 is a ripoff anyway!

Giamela’s Submarine Sandwiches, 3178 Los Feliz Blvd, Los Angeles (Atwater Village), CA 90039
Tumblr media
Giamela’s is a beloved local Italian eatery, serving Italian sub sandwiches, pizza, and pasta since 1964. They’re famous for their pepper steak subs. Subs are toasted upon request and they’ll also scoop out the bread if you ask them to. Look for the daily specials.
They have hot and cold subs – turkey, roast beef, ham, Italian cold cuts, ham, salami, pepper steak, sausage, meatball, etc. Sandwiches come in two sizes, regular and large. The subs come with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions, dressing, mustard & mayo. They have several kinds of mayo – red pepper mayo, pesto mayo and regular mayo. Round out your meal with a soda and a bag of potato chips.
Lunch special: Turkey & capocollo regular sub and soda ($10.95): The sandwich looked expertly put together with red pepper mayo, the meat and cheese nicely layered, a huge amount of finely shredded iceberg lettuce in the middle, and the rest of the veggies piled on top – chopped tomatoes, chopped pickles, and chopped onions. The sub roll is a soft white roll with sesame seeds. The sandwich was put together like a loaded hot dog. The toppings fall off too easily. However, if you eat it carefully, every bite is a different mix of flavors and textures and the bread and veggies are fresh. The bread gets soggy fast.
The space looks older with the red & white checkered tablecloths you’d expect to find at an Italian eatery. They have old family photos hanging. There’s free parking.
4 out of 5 stars.

Main Dishes Recipe I worked at a sandwich shop that made these vegetable sandwiches stuffed with cucumbers, sprouts, tomatoes, and avocadoes. They were a veggie's dream!
