𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞; 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐮𝐞

A small event following the discovery of a contagious blood demon art that changes somebody’s age and it’s infected all the pillars turning them back into children... and now these children look up to you and the kamaboko squad for guidance ー heavily inspired by @ghostbite0 pintsized pillars au please please please check out their art i beg

prologue entry 1: character introductions and general hcs

starring: the kamaboko squad, the pillars + aoi kanzaki, senjuro rengoku, reader?? Idk they don’t rlly do much tbh..

The chance of blood demon art being contagious is unlikely, but not impossible. Maybe after this you’ll realize that if something isn’t impossible, always be cautious because it is. News spreads like wildfire around the corps about a new blood demon art, figured out to be contagious. The effects having something to do with age, making people become much younger than they currently are now. Worse of all the prime suspect of who brought it back is one of the pillars themselves. Everybody is ushered and reccommended to stay inside for now, until they figure out what’s going on. People can only point fingers at who they believe it is, but it doesn’t very long for them to find out.

SANEMI SHINAZUGAWA or now known as “virus spreader” is the first person to suffer from the effects of the blood demon art, and the one who brought it back. He denies it of course but there isn’t much hiding left he can do. Once he’s dismissed from the hashira meeting he goes to train to blow off steam like usual, it’s only then where he feels dizzy as his eyes begins to close. It’s then when the blood demon art sets in place turning the stubborn wind hashira back into a 7 year old boy. To add more onto this disaster, the first person to find him in this state is his younger brother, GENYA SHINZUGAWA Who only saw him when passing the training grounds. Screaming seeing a very young child hold a nichin blade that was much too sharp to be safe, and that this ‘child’ just happened to be his older brother.

It takes awhile for Genya to make it back to master Ubuyashiki to show him what happened to his younger brother. Having to endure chasing him around and him trying to pull out his hair while carrying him back. It was far too late to want him, as now both OBANAI IGURO and GIYU TOMIOKA have both fallen for the infection at the exact same time. Genya only freezes unsure of what to do seeing two 7 year old boys either sleeping or laying soundly in the middle of the courtyard. Especially since once is coiled up between kaburamaru who is not a fan of people most of the time. Thankfully, Genya doesn’t have to deal with three miniature pillars alone as TANJIRO KAMADO seem to come catch up with him after hearing his distress. As he picks up obanai while giyu lingers around his leg. Tanjiro realizes they won’t have much time left until there’s more children hanging around the corps with access to many weapons they do not need their hands on.

The other hashira seem to last longer when it came to the blood demon art effects, or it only lingered on them later on compared to the first three. They’re able to make it to the butterfly mansion in time where KANAO KOCHO who was waiting for them is able to bring them over to her older sister. SHINOBU KOCHO who was already busy inside was aware of this infection before the other three were, as when they find her they see her with a much smaller TENGEN UZUI who has already turned into a 10 year old boy. The insect pillar seeing the other three small children coming into her room is surprised at how fast this infection is taking place tries to quickly think of something to slow it down. Right when they believed they had something kochi is no longer seen, Genya nearly had to bend down to see shinobu has turned back into a 5 year old little girl. Well the butterfly mansion won’t be any help for answers anymore.

Both Genya, Kanao, and Tanjiro are thankful that the sound hashira has turned to an age where he can actually corporate. He’s able to hold onto shinobu while the three young slayers have to take account on who has turned, how their like, and who they need to find next.

UZUI, the oldest so far knows atleast how to take care of responsibilities, but is not a good influence to anyone at all. Always using the “cool kid” excuse to convince somebody to join him ind ping something they definitely shouldn’t be doing. Sanemi falls for it as they already caught him standing in top of a desk to try and jump off and onto Genya’s hair. Uzui says it wasn’t him but you can’t say you believe him when both giyu and shinobu point towards him when you ask.

SANEMI is a wild kid sometimes, he’s still got alot of that aggressive energy from his actual self that has transferred into his much smaller self. Other times he unusually touchy, especially for him. He’ll drag somebody over unusually obanai, sometimes even giyu to just play games with him. Sometimes he likes to bother people in the occasion but it’s normally a phase. Though he is still scared oof Genya in some way, if he’s doing something he isn’t suppose to do and Genya yells at him he’ll stop immediately. He’d never admit this though, ever.

GIYU is very very calm. He doesn’t change much compared to him when he’s older. He’s just more open to hang around the others as he doesn’t mind playing any games. He prefers to stay with somebody, he doesn’t mind being by somebody like shinobu and just staying around her or he’s around tanjiro. He likes to sleep with a lot. Speaking of sleep Giyu is always doesn’t mind taking a nap, he prefers it actually. He just likes to lay down and take a break sometimes. If he is ever being held there’s a good chance he’ll just fall asleep right then and there.

OBANAI is very much a touch starved child. He enjoys being hugged or held by some of the pillars or the ‘older’ kids. He’s very quiet most of the time he’ll talk on the occasion with the kids but is usually quiet most of the time. Obanai is also another sleepy kid, jusf like giyu they both like to sleep. Sometimes they nap together if they feel like it. Kaburamaru still tries to follow him, sometimes you see him just trailing around obanai if he sees him. He did try to coil around obanai like he usually does but if did not work right at all.

SHINOBU is a very good kid, she normally just like staying around in the butterfly mansion. Other times she just enjoys falling Kanao around when she’s doing anything. Even as a small child she still likes preforming her “doctor” role even if she can’t actually preform it. AOI lets her mess around and give her fake doctor check up with some of the real equipment she has around. Though she can only do it in certain rooms with atleast two people inside, one time aoi wasn’t looking and shinobu somehow found a syringe. She nearly got poked in the arm by it if she didn’t look back up.

While the three teenagers try to figure out what to do with their pillar problem, it seems like they have to add another one of the crew. Instead of searching for KYOJURO RENGOKU rengoku comes to them instead, tanjiro if the first to turn around when hearing the pitter patter of footsteps and the loud sniffling coming from around the corner. To his surprise SENJURO RENGOKU is the cause of the noise, holding a much smaller rengoku is his arms. He shuffles over to where tanjiro, Kanao, and Genya are rambling on and telling them how he turned around and ‘poof’ rengoku turned small. Tanjiro sighs knowing they have another kid they found, or what Genya refers to as “waist height army.” Tanjiro takes the five year old boy who has just as much energy and happiness as Rengoku had just before.

Tanjiro was conflicted to say the least. Dealing with hashira was already enough, but dealing with them as kids is whole new territory. Before he can think of something to do the loud yelling echoing in the distance catches his attention. He hopes Genya, kanao, and senjuro can handle the kids while he checks it out. As he sneaks around the corner he can he was shocked but wasn’t all that surprised. INOSUKE HASHIBARA sitting across the table from MITSURI KANROJI who has also become a 5 year old girl. The both preparing to have an intense arm wrestling match. Sitting on inosuke side was ZENITSU AGATSUMA and on mitsuri side was READER AND NEZUKO KAMADO. Zenitsu only cheers on an overconfident inosuke who puts his arm in the table. He bluffs for a moment until he feels his arm snack down against the table once again, loosing in an instant. Mitusri laughs while reader and nezuko cheer her on. Inosuke stares jaw dropped underneath the mask while zenitsu is shocked and trying not to laugh himself.

A sigh of relief escapes tanjiro lips as he turns to kanao with a much smaller giyu by her side. Things were fine, things would be fine if they had some time to breath and figure things out. Tanjiro takes a breath, until he hears somebody crying. At first he thinks it’s one of the hashira who has turned into a child, only for the sound to be coming from the stone pillar himself. GYOMEI HIMEJIMA with MUICHIRO TOKITO by his side. He weeps as he holds a very small shinobu and kyojuro in his arms while senjuro tries to pay his back to calm him down. While Tanjiro has trust in the stone hashira strength and abilities, he doesn’t know how old he will turn and how strong he’s going to be. Tanjiro simply walks over, making up an excuse to try to take Rengoku and Shinobu out of Gyomei arms. He’s able to grab Kyojuro out of his arms, but the moment he turns he hears muichiro shriek and that’s already enough to tell him what was going on.

Poor poor muichiro who had zoned out while hanging around Gyomei, only to turn and look eye to eye with him. It was not a subtle adjustment he could get used to. Gyomei tries to call him down sensing panic from the boy, who was already confused enough seeing his comrades being shrunken down and running around. Unfortunately, Gyomei aid was not helpful in coming the most pillar down who only stared at him and shinobu who was asleep in his arms. Both Tanjiro, Senjuro and Rengoku were caught off guard by the change to, but mostly by muichiro uncharacteristic screech. Muichiro tried to think of something to say, to do in the moment. Before he’s able to do anything the blood demon art unfortunately catches back up with, Tanjiro watches as Muichiro nearly disappears out of thin air. He has to turn around to see Rengoku picking up a small 1 year old muichiro who looks mildly upset in his arms.

RENGOKU is such a hyperactive child. He’s always happy and always tries to make all the others happy when he can. Even for being so young, he is still somewhat trustworthy and can deal with some of the kids like shinobu, and obanai if needed. Even as a child, Rengoku voice still has volume to it. He can be louder than Gyomei if he gets really excited. He also likes to eat with mitsuri often giving her food if he has any. Giyu sometimes lingers around him if he’s not with Sanemi or Obanai.

MITSURI is such a sweetheart, always happy and always ready to play around. She’s not to troubling to deal with like some of the others, her only issue is she still has the same appetite as she does when she is an adult. So somebody always makes sure to stock up on extra food at all times. Along with this she isn’t even aware of her own strength either, as we seen with her beating Inosuke. He always comes to get a rematch even if he’ll still loose. Obanai tends to linger around her as well.

GYOMEI is the most helpful out of all the hashira and the most attentive out of them. Being the closest to his actual age, and to the rest of the “older” kids age he actually helps out alot. He’s always the one granted supervision if Tanjiro or any of the others are busy because they know they can trust Gyomei. He does take this role very seriously for some reason, he’s put Sanemi and Uzui into a makeshift timeout before because they were trying to do something much to dangerous again.

MUICHIRO is just baby. Not much he can do but sometimes they think he’s the most aware of the situation he’s in. He always has a bored look on his face or an annoyed look if somebody has ticked him off. He’s always very picky about who can hold him. He likes being around Gyomei, Obanai and Rengoku for example but others he might show more signs of boredom. One time Sanemi got to pick him up, he made fun of him a little and Muichiro tried to bite his finger off.

Tanjiro has to call everybody who’s unaffected together. Now having found and seen all the effects have landed on every single hashira they can now make a plan. They’ve found everybody they needed to but they just have to figure out. How are they going to take care of them?

{Morning Mail} teacher rengoku x gn! Librarian reader (kimetsu academy au)

(Always with much love for books you pursued being a librarian. You have been working at kimetsu academy since the start of the year, it has been a few months. And someone has a big old crush. And his students notice.)

You finnaly finish slotting all of the books from the book cart back into there respective places on the shelves. The smell of paper, your scented candles, and tea filled your sourounding, also known as the library. Since you got here you made it into your own little paradise, relaxing as every library should be. At the moment your study hall hour was running, the students quietly in they're respective corners of the library wither reading, working on homework, studying, or playing on they're phones. Either way these students respect you, the ones that didn't were "suddenly" and "randomly" moved from your study hall to the aggressive algebra teachers class. And any well behaving students from Mr. Shinzugawa's class moved to your study hall. You love helping the kids, especially in finding the right books to help them with they're studies. You also work as a tutor for them if need be.

As of the past few weeks the class 1-A history teacher has been requesting books for his classes. Now it's become a everyday part of your schedule to get his history related books on the cart for him before the official school day even starts. And now you were wheeling it to his class. His class loves and respects him, which caught your eye. While neither of them are bad teachers, Giyuu has just never really gotten along with the other teachers, or a certain third year student. And Sanemi shinzugawa is aggressive and short tempered. Only to list a few. But records show no student has ever failed his class before.

You knock on the door and one of the students opens it for you. The sweet kamado boy who visits you every morning to say hello, you also help tutor his to rather wild friends. Rengoku was sitting at his desk and greets you with his usual wide smile and loud voice. While usually you prefer quiet, you strangle didn't mind his loudness. "Ah! Thank you (Y/n)! On time as always!" He beams. Now you both have dropped the formalities, and simply call eachother by more friendly names. You nod and give him a smile before leaving to get back to your own students.

He watches you leave as Tanjiro hands out the text books to everyone. He dosent quite catch that he's staring at the spot you used to be until-

"Mr. Rengoku! When are you gonna tell (y/n) you have a crush on them?" Asked tanjiro, The boy staring at him. He broke from the trance and looked at him. "Now don't be silly young Kamado! We are just giid friends and colleagues!" "No you deffinetly like them! You should hurry up and confess!" Insists Susumaru, not missing the opportunity to tease her teacher. "You lot are quite lively today aren't you. You won't drop this will you." "Not a chance." Zenitsu smirks.

"Why don't you write (y/n) a love letter and leave it on the cart for them. They always put the books back right away. They'll deffinetly notice." The burgundy haired boy offered. Who would have thought that him, a teacher, would be given love advice from his own students. Though he wasn't opposed to the idea. He would do it. Grabbing a spare piece of notebook paper, he carefully hand writes a letter for you, slips it onto the book cart, and starts teaching his class.

The lovely, and friendlier shinzugawa pushed your book cart back into the library for you. He is such a lovely kid, you thought. "Theny you very much for your help Genya. Good luck with your chemistry exam today." He nods and disapears down the hallway shortly after. As your organizing the books back into they're respective places, a piece of paper also on the cart catches your eye.

Dear (Y/n) I enjoy seeing your face and sweet smile every morning. My students have edged me to write this letter too you. I wish for you to know that I greatly appreciate you! Sincerely, Rengoku Kyojuro

While it was far from the love letter you had hoped it would be when you read who wrote it, you still appreciate it. Rolling the cart away, you slip the paper into an empty drawer in your desk, which would soon be filled with many more to come. And it was only polite for you to write back. Let's just say this went on for a little while.

HEADCANONS: Giyuu and Sanemi on having a crush

Hello everyone! This post is inspired by the previous ask I got but it was the Kamaboko Squad ver. I super like writing the contrast between the openly bashful Giyuu and the inwardly shy Sanemi. ❤️❤️❤️

Giyuu will definitely stare at you and study your features, most likely to happen when you’re not looking his way. He’s stunned, it’s just that it didn’t show.

When you look at him, he’d turn his face to the side for sure. Shy boi got even shier when you met his gaze; he’s damn scared that he might not take his eyes off you

Your driven and kind personality was what made you kept running on his mind. And yes, it would run over this head regardless if he brushed it off.

He would watch you from afar, but as time went by, he wouldn’t be able to contain it anymore

His first initiative would be during a time when you’re just walking/sitting/eating alone. He would join but would not speak a word, as if testing the waters. Trust me, he was happy enough to be by your side.

If you’re the first one to greet him, he would return the greeting, but won’t make a move to look at you.

If you’re just as shy as him, well things would probably get more awkward than it already was. If he’d get another chance, then maybe he’d get you something like mochi or whatever your favourite food was. Another option was opening something random up out of nowhere. Good gods, it might even be really embarrassing.

Regardless, he won’t turn his face towards your direction, scared that his eyes might be glued on you and a blush would appear without his control

Giyuu would always contemplate the uncanny feelings he was harbouring for you. Sometimes, that thought of you would make him smile. (uwu this boy is just super soft)

He would join you in your solitary moments and your conversations would become lengthier each time. Soon, Giyuu realized that letting his thoughts out in your company made it more comfortable for him to be around you that he could now share glances with you. And it was the best thing until…

His smile and blush and very likely a lot of things you’d get to discover about him. He was just super caring and mushy. What he lacked in words he would compensate with actions and you’d know this with all your heart as your feelings for each other became more tender.

“You idiot! What are you looking at?” Would probably be his first words to you, but he’s definitely the one looking at you the whole time. Try pointing it out and he’d deny it with another loving insult. Oh, the tsundere that he was

Would probably be smitten with you. Everytime you’re around, his eyes would follow your every movement. You would feel it, but when you would turn to meet his gaze, he always had his angry face on.

“What kind of grown-up doesn’t eat on time?” He said as he heard your tummy churned. “H-Here! Here’s my extra musubi, you…” He offered, trying to hide his blushing.

He would likely walk his dog around your area just to see you. He was also aware of the fact that his dog was fond of you and would sniff its way just to get to where you were (Sanemi used this as an advantage).

His usual tough guy act would definitely wear off when he saw you getting close with another guy. He would claim you openly and would reprimand you for talking to another man. “You don’t even know that jerk! Are you an idiot?”

What he liked the most about you was your ability to talk back to him and catch him off his feet. “Why do you care so much? We’re not even friends. You have never been nice to me.”

Sanemi was shookt and jolted by your statement. “W-What do you mean?! Ha!? Did I ever say I’m being nice to you?!”

Gosh, but that afternoon he bought you a box of ohagi. “D-Don’t get me wrong, th-that’s the last piece and I don’t eat that kind of thing.”

This earned a smile from you, because you know that he’s such a big sweetie underneath.

In due time, your feelings for him were getting deeper as you got a hang of his antics and already knew that this was his affectionate side. And you know that he was just at the same page, when he slip himself up more often. Your banters eventually became a playful and fun aspect of the two of you.

So hiking dates with him is a MUST

He loves the views as much as you, and his favorite thing is getting to your destination and seeing the view with you

It’s one of the only times he genuinely feels calm and at peace

He’ll also try to put all the weird bugs on you-

KAMADO TANJIRO

Like Sanemi, Tanjiro also really loves hiking

When he was training with urokodaki, he would be on the mountains/forests all the time, and when his family was still alive they lived on a mountain, so now the mountains and forests make him feel like he’s at home.

They just give him this warm feeling of being at home

And sharing it with you, his lover, is the best thing he could ask for

When you guys go on hikes he’ll be telling you about all the weird and funny stories that happened to him

He might cry a little

Comfort him

He’ll also bring a lot of snacks for you two to share when you get to your destination

It’s just a great experience that both of you love to share

Anime/Manga: Kimetsu no Yaiba Pairing: Shinzugawa Genya/fem!Reader Additional tags: Kimetsu Academy AU where Genya (and Reader) is already a graduate and is now in his last year in college; the teacher!Pillars (Sanemi, Obanai, Giyuu, et al) still teach at the academy. A/N: This came to me just now. Figured I have to write it to shower my boy Genya the love he always deserves. 😄💜

Summary:

You, Genya, and a wedding.

Kanroji-san looks absolutely stunning in her wedding dress. It’s all that goes over and over in his mind as he stands beside his older brother who gives his congratulations to the now-married woman.

Apparently it’s also what comes out of Genya’s mouth in a stutter instead of saying his felicitations like Sanemi-nii. Kanroji-san blushes and giggles at the compliment, and it’s as if Lady Luck seems to think so because Iguro-sensei only smiles with pride and happiness at hearing such nice words aimed at his girlfriend-now-wife.

Beside Genya, Sanemi-nii chuckles along with the guests. He puts an arm around Genya and ushers him back to their table.

“For one wild moment, I thought you were gonna say [Name]’s name instead of Kanroji’s,” the older Shinazugawa teases the younger one. “You couldn’t keep your eyes off of her earlier.”

Genya cannot find it in himself to deny nor defend himself from his older brother’s observation. Maybe he’s just being biased because of his feelings for you, but he can easily say that you’re far more beautiful than Kanroji-san even if it’s the latter’s wedding day. Even if you’re wearing a simple powder blue dress, the combination of your smile that lights up your entire being and the flowers in your hair make you look like one of the fair fae folk straight out of a fairytale.

He’s loved you since your high school days, and Genya still feels his love for you grow stronger with the passage of time. You’re kind, but doesn’t take anyone’s shit; gentle, yet punches so hard it knocks out men twice your size. You speak so softly to him and his friends, and you yell just as loud as Sanemi-nii whenever you’re genuinely angry. You’re tiny compared to him and yet Genya knows that you’re larger than life – you laugh and cry and forgive as easily as the sun rises and the moon sets.

Genya is so in love with you because you’re beautifully, wonderfully you – imperfections and all.

And as he watches Kanroji-san and Iguro-sensei joyfully thank their well-wishers, the vision of the two of you sitting in their place comes as easy as breathing to Genya.

You are dragged by your friends to the bouquet toss, and Genya wishes that you would have him as he watches your face flush the loveliest shade of red when you catch the bouquet.

“Nii-chan, what the fuck?!” he hisses nervously, hands shaking and palms sweating when Sanemi-nii shoves the wedding garter to his chest after effortlessly snatching it in the air before an oblivious Tomioka-sensei could.

Sanemi-nii’s grin was fucking conspiratorial and boyish, and Genya feels a conniption coming when the male guests wolf-whistle at him. Tanjiro in particular is so unforgivably loud, already congratulating Sanemi-nii for the “nice save!” Genya wants nothing but to smash that broad forehead on every table and chair in the room.

“You’re the one who likes [Name] – romantically – and not me,” he tells Genya. “And besides, you know how wedding traditions go. She’s got the bride’s bouquet, I got you the garter… maybe you’ll get married next.”

He so badly wants to punch his brother and yell that you don’t even have an idea that he’s got feelings for you. But Genya only freezes when Sanemi-nii pushes him towards your general direction, dark purple eyes zeroing in on you surrounded by your fellow bridesmaids as they guide you excitedly on the chair in the middle of the room. He takes a step forward, then two, until he finds himself on one knee before you and gazing up at your blushing face.

The room breaks out into loud cheers and whistling when he slips the garter on your foot, his hands trembling so badly he’s left clumsily and slowly sliding the thing up your leg – and the guests cheer louder when you shyly hide your face in the flowers you are holding.

You are absolutely cute, an angel come down to Earth and it turns Genya’s heart and insides into soft, love-struck goo. From the moment he first saw you walk into the classroom to be introduced as the new transfer student to this moment right here, with you sitting and looking down shyly and smiling bashfully at him while he kneels in front of you, his eyes bleeding out the love he wishes he can tell you, he knows that you’re the one and no one else.

For fuck’s sake. Just this once, can’t he take up the courage and just tell you—

“[Name], I—!” Genya mutters loud enough for you to hear, with words only for your ears. His heart leaps up in his throat when a pair of [colour] doe eyes gazed at him meekly and with such wonderful curiosity. “I really, really… I like you so much, [Name]!”

He knows he spoke the words with a desperateness he mistakenly thinks he doesn’t possess and yet here he is, rendered weak by your presence. Genya stares at you and watches his words hit you like a train, your searching eyes made brighter by the words he spoke only for you.

The smile you give him is more beautiful than the sunrise.

“I l-like you, too, Genya!”
